11601  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will You Sell when BTC Hits $1,000? on: November 15, 2013, 09:45:02 PM
I'll probably sell some bitcoins right after they hit $1000 for other cryptocoins because there will be a sell off after hitting such a milestone. Then I'll buy some back after the sell off for a net profit in both currencies.
Excellent hedging strategy. Do you have any specific cryptocurrency for this operation?

I buy FTC, because its shiny.

What if it becomes rusty?

ill throw it away.

i only like it because its shiny

then bitcoin is pushed underground in the US, and flourishes in other countries.

wow - falling fast on Stamp. Not sure if I want to catch this knife... Embarrassed.

It is very sharp but it keeps bouncing back every time it falls. I expect that only bad news will cause a real crash. I don't know what that could be other than regulations..

I have not seen that much buying power the last few days. Who dares to buy?

That could not possibly be because everyone is waiting for the weekend dip . . .

lol

this weekend you bears are going to go out and tell all your friend how you made X $ on bitcoin

hahahahahah perfect!
11609  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: November 15, 2013, 08:23:20 PM

a test of 350 support would be nice and all, but thats not happening, the rise will accelerate!
11610  Economy / Speculation / Re: When was the last time you bought coins? on: November 15, 2013, 07:57:45 PM

At least 300,000 btc transaction more since previous days:

The rally is now advancing painfully on low volumes since 2 days, coins are moving on blockchain, btc ammo incoming on exchange, red fireworks in the coming days..

Interesting hypothesis... but you must be looking at usd exchanges only. china is still increasing and they seem to be giving 0 fucks about low volume in usd
http://data.bitcoinity.org/#caaaabdgaa

BTChina has been SUCKING bitcoins from the west

there's low volume here cuz there are no more F'ing coins, we sold them all to the chinese!
11612  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: November 15, 2013, 07:38:14 PM
I bought my house with bitcoins sold too low... Regretting it every day now, would have spent 300 BTC now to pay off a mortgage instead of 1000+ to buy it outright

Just take the average when you buy the plane  Grin

You cant go broke taking profits.

when bitcoin reaches 1,000,000$ that simply won't be true

( hint usd = toilet paper  )
11613  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: November 15, 2013, 05:25:07 PM

11615  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Vote for the removal of Mike Hearn as Chair of the Bitcoin Foundations Law & Pol on: November 15, 2013, 03:58:28 PM
from peter todd:

"We've had the theoretical discussion before, multiple times. The technology involved isn't very interesting from a legal perspective and doesn't deserve more discussion. There's near consensus in the community that it's a very bad idea, for multiple reasons, regardless of your thoughts about privacy and anonymity.

If you want to discuss it further, knock yourself out. But there is every reason for community members to be worried when someone in a position of power - Mike Hearn is chair of the Foundation Legal and Policy committee - starts promoting a discredited and dangerous idea yet again. It's like finding out in 1940 that the chair of your local electricity board thinks the town needs a direct current feed and that Tesla guy got it all wrong. Sure, his arguments for DC may sound convincing to some people who are unfamiliar with the technology, but the discussion's long been settled in favor of AC by those who are. "

VOTED YES.

maybe The Foundation not as bad as I perceive it to be, this is encouraging!
11616  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should the Bitcoin Foundation be moved to a Neutral Country... on: November 15, 2013, 03:49:43 PM
i'd like to see some live debates on youtube for these hard issues

lots of polling the community by the Foundation before they decide anything

and draw up a constitution, outlining the core values of the community

I feel the foundation is no longer representing the communities interest, they simply want to do wtv is necessary to get bitcoin "approved for mainstream use", when it seem clear to me that the community could not care less about conforming to the US rules even if it would make us all rich, we have values and they are not for sale! the Foundation  MUST reflect that
