11621  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] bitcoin mixer bitsafe.pro - minimalistic design and lowest fee on market! on: September 28, 2018, 03:54:13 PM
hello, how can i recheck that after i use your service there will be no old coins (addresses) among new ones? do you offer taint-analysis to verify this?
This service isn't working anymore, which is weird since they just came back after more than 4 months offline to ask for $10 to do a review of a different mixer, and immediately left again. I guess they were just a bunch of scammers since the beginning, and since they didn't get a single victim, they just closed their website.
11622  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: MyEtherWallet hacked on: September 28, 2018, 01:36:32 PM
I've dealt with this before. I got an email notification about depositing MyEtherWallet and a link to the wallet and thereby my private key was stolen . Beware of phishing sites. Enter the site address by hand or from saved bookmarks.
Well, that's a different case. You just visited a different website that looks like MEW. OP's got scammed even that he was in the legit MEW website. Hackers had taken control of the DNS entry and managed to make the MyEtherWallet.com domain lead to a different website.

Anyways, this happened 5 months ago.
11623  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] Bitcoin-Laundry.com | Bitcoin Tumbler | Review Bounty Program on: September 27, 2018, 11:14:02 PM
I'm willing to test it. But preferably the full amount so I don't have to pay 2x transaction fees for a few extra bucks. I don't really have any reasons to scam you for so little.

11624  Other / Meta / Re: Legendary with Copper Memberships? on: September 27, 2018, 10:52:38 PM
Then what about the DONATOR status?
We can still have this Rank for the new ones. Besides it's only meaning is whether someone is willing to donate a penny for the forum.
It's not the same as the VIP don't yah think?
Like OgNasty said in the post I linked above, "there's lots of room between Copper Membership & Donator, and there's lots of features that can be added to various tiered member levels"; There is not a single reason why theymos should just make the Donator and VIP ranks accessible for everyone. It's meant to be something exclusive.

And again, like OgNasty said, "I don't see a need to devalue the member status of those who were supporting this forum with money out of their own pockets 7 years ago, before most people had ever heard of Bitcoin".
11625  Other / Meta / Re: Legendary with Copper Memberships? on: September 27, 2018, 10:34:44 PM
When VIP status was created, the BTC price was about $15. It's supposed to be very expensive. If everyone had VIP status it would lose its meaning.
11626  Other / Meta / Re: Legendary with Copper Memberships? on: September 27, 2018, 10:28:55 PM
That does not explain why. Only Theymos can answer this question, unless he has already answered it in the past.

Opinions of the community are irrelevant in this case, and constitute only poor proxies of the actual rationale.

If Theymos has addressed this in the past, please do let me know, a quick search did not turn up anything.

Is this enough?

11627  Other / Meta / Re: Legendary with Copper Memberships? on: September 27, 2018, 10:17:34 PM
Why don't you reduce the price of Donator and VIP memberships? The current prices are simple unattainable, it's almost like you're intentionally making them impossible to reach. Are you looking to keep the exclusivity of the former members who donated when BTC was almost worthless? If so, why? Back then the amount they donated was less significant, but now 50 BTC for a badge is crazy. We would love to contribute towards the running costs of the forum, but copper membership is not enough, couldn't you implement something a big more desirable (but attainable).
There are plenty of threads explaining why.

This is the most recent one: Theymos should reconsider amount for "Donator" and "VIP" status.

11629  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Sending Bitcoin to Electrum on: September 27, 2018, 04:08:47 PM
I downloaded the Bitcoin wallet app and the Electrum Wallet off of the Play Store on Google.......

My Electrum private key that I used was: xpub661MyMwAqRbcGQ6ZfyKW1nUpTt3g7Yem6brVwAmpMXUkvBnEEKCyJ1vHWiChSN8DMo7rfiyesYX g4tC43BvxNJkz5jwRKeNysVn3HFJCdxZ
This is not a private key. And if it was, your coins would have been stoled since you tried to post them here.

Anyone with your private-key can steal your coins. What you posted above is your master public key. It's usually used to get (in view-only mode) the addresses generated from an HD wallet without. You can't spend any of the coins in a wallet with it.
11630  Bitcoin / Mycelium / Re: are funds automatically sent to my newest address / fees on: September 27, 2018, 03:52:53 PM
Are received funds sent to one of my "old" address (in Mycellium) automatically trasferred to the newest address?
No. They will stay in the old address. But this doesn't matter that much.

Does Mycelium ask me if i am willing to pay the transaction costs for that transfer of the funds
to the newest address (that seems to be costly) ?
Of course. This would require a new transaction (thus, you would need to pay the transaction fees). Sending from the Address A (old) to the Address B (new).

Why exactly do you want to do that?
11632  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] ecomix.io new btc mixer with low fee , get your free 0.0022 btc for test! on: September 27, 2018, 03:05:37 PM
Started the mixing process. Will update here after it's done.

Edit: received my coins. The process is pretty simple. This mixer works just like any other classic average mixer (like BitMixer), so there's not much to say about it.

Looks like the maximum you can mix right now (as I'm writing this) is only 0.07921933BTC. Which is a super low amount.

A few suggestions:
- There should be a QR code of the deposit address showing at the mixing page;
- There should be an option to randomize a delay for each output;
- You should also allow costumers to choose a more customizable fee (e.g 0.0.00007523);
- You should also allow costumers to choose their transaction fees in sat/byte instead of plain satoshis;

Also, what happens if a transaction stays unconfirmed for more than 24 hours and the session expires?
11633  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Erik Vorhees announces coincap.io on: September 27, 2018, 02:56:59 PM
TBF, anything looks better than CMC.

I've been using Coinlib.io for some time, which also has live price updates.
11634  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Can u use any mobile app for bitcointalk? on: September 26, 2018, 07:27:25 PM
No, it's not a chrome extension it's a firefox extension for mobile or maybe you are talking about the old one from here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=327238.0
Yeah, that's right. I forgot you can use extensions on the Firefox mobile app.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4588431.0 in this topic I see some users banned for plagiarism, but they were given a second chance, than they are better than me?
Who exactly got a second chance?
11636  Other / Meta / Re: banned account, please give second chance on: September 26, 2018, 06:54:31 PM
Yes, I know that I was banned for plagiarism, but I saw plagiarism from other users and felt that it was allowed on the forum. But I will delete all messages with plagiarism and will not break any more rules! Please unlock!
Not knowing the rules isn't a valid excuse. It doesn't matter what you felt.

Plagiarism is a straight permaban with no chances of unban. You can cry, yell or tell that you won't do it again all day... it doesn't matter. Your account won't be unbanned.

P.S: Keep in mind that YOU (as a person - and not only your account) is permabanned from the forum. You can't create a new account to keep posting. You should just leave the forum or else you will be banned again for ban evasion.
11637  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Can u use any mobile app for bitcointalk? on: September 26, 2018, 06:28:12 PM
I did try looking for "AFAICR" here in the forum but I couldn't find him.
I'm not sure if you're joking but I think AFAICR means As Far As I Can Recall and not an username. Cheesy

I also remember this script. AFAIK it was a chrome extension (which is open source) and I remember taking a look at the code to confirm it was legit. I can't find it right now but I'll make sure to take a look later.
11638  Other / Meta / Re: banned account, please give second chance on: September 26, 2018, 05:02:32 PM
Why were you banned? And was it a permaban?
11639  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What way(s) can a new coin jump from $0.00 to $0.000000000001 on: September 26, 2018, 05:00:43 PM
Is there any alternative way for a new currency to get a market price value other than become listed on one/or more exchange(s)?
I don't think so. How would you determine the price of a coin if it's not being negotiated anywhere?
11640  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Errors when using the forum on: September 26, 2018, 02:24:59 PM
There is a cooldown of 6 minutes between each action when you are a Newbie.

It gets better as you post and increase your activity. This is the formula:
Code:
waittime = 360;
if(activity >= 15)
        waittime = (int)(90 - activity);
if(activity >= 60)
        waittime=(int)(34.7586 - (0.0793103 * activity));
if(activity >= 100)
        waittime = max((int)(14-(activity/50)), 4);
