11661  Other / Meta / Re: Huge section spammed... Attention from MOD required on: October 26, 2018, 10:08:52 PM
This post would fit better in Meta board:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=24.0

Also, I believe you should click "Report to Moderador"  on every post you believe should be moderate. There is far too much spam here, but mods read all our reports and often delete this kind of posts.
11663  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: NEED HELP!!! 6000 is locked in a watch only account on electrum on: October 26, 2018, 12:39:36 AM
I made an account quickly and pressed imported wallet instead of standard wallet and I received 1 Bit. It never asked me to make a seed or password. And it says its watching only and I have no seed or key, but I have about 6 grand in this account. Is there a way where I can get the money to a standard wallet account or did I lose 6 grand because I pressed the wrong Wallet type. Please respond ASAP.
P.S. I made this account from my phone on electrum

Well, if it's watch only,  Electrum wallet doesn't have the private  for that addresses.

Probably lost, unless you somehow saved a seed or some privatekey when creating it.
11664  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Making it known on: October 25, 2018, 10:06:07 PM
how we could explain to everyone, from a child who obviously needs some money to an old men who still wants to buy some food and a newspaper, what it is all about?

Simple, you don't need.

Do you know how visa works? Probably not. Do you use it? Yes, of course.

In countries where there are no computers, they still use visa as payment method.

Also, do you think every 60-70 year old person knows how internet works? But they use social media, right?

That's it, people don't need to understand what they are doing. They just need to do it.
Do you know how to build a 30 floor building? But you can walk in one, and you will not be afraid to die.
11665  Economy / Services / Re: 💲[SURVEY BOUNTY]|Take a Quick Survey about Crypto & Gambling|Earn $3 in BTC 💲 on: October 25, 2018, 09:53:16 PM
Hello Hhampuz

Is this the same survey, or a new one?
11666  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will it fall? on: October 25, 2018, 09:45:28 PM
The stock market is now experiencing a good collapse. Last time such a collapse affected the crypto-currency market. Do you think the collapse will affect this time?

Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies don't have a direct or indirect correlation to the stock market.

Last year when it crashed btc was in bull run. This year both crashed together.

I believe that a panic in stock market may lead to another bull run, as investors will want to look for different risks to protect their capital.
11667  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Nano Ledger S Ledger Live? on: October 25, 2018, 09:57:21 AM
what is the official ledger site?

https://www.ledger.com

You can download ledger live there and find many guides.

Their official reddit is also very useful

11668  Other / Meta / Re: How recognized are you in the bitcointalk world? on: October 25, 2018, 12:41:45 AM
By the way, my profile is 95th most recognized, and so far, I never sent nor received a trust rating, even though trust is supposed to be one of the "recognition" criteria, my recognition seems to have risen due to the other criteria.... and I don't even have a "v" or an "o" or a "d" in my username... Go figure?

Even though you do not have a trust rating, your activity and merit ranting are quite high.

This recognition is calculated using trust, merit (earning) and activity.

I got a higher recognition than I expected as well, with low activity and zero trust.
11669  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: PoW vs PoS- Proof-of-Stake Might be the Winner here (Save the Environment) on: October 25, 2018, 12:00:35 AM
@bitmover: Well, if you think that "global warming is a scam", then there should be no point for PoS at all for you. Grin Apart from the higher energy efficiency, PoS has practically only disadvantages with respect to PoW.

I don't think so.

Many small altcoins suffered a 51% attack recently, like btg and others.
Pow works well for bitcoin, but other coins could use other protocols.
11670  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: PoW vs PoS- Proof-of-Stake Might be the Winner here (Save the Environment) on: October 24, 2018, 10:05:28 PM
Wish this forum had kinda negative merit and I had a chance to give a ton of it to guys who bring forward their failed and worthless ideas about PoS here.

Pos is the most stupid idea in cryptocurrency, what stake they are talking about after all? There is nothing at stake once you look close enough. And I'm sick of this fake environmentalism. You want to save the environment? Produce green electricity or convince Trump to abandon coal industry or at least not to expand it.

Bitcoin consumes energy for a very good reason; setting money free, besides healthcare and education I don't know any other use case for electricity more useful than bitcoin PoW.

I think that this ideia to that "bitcoin is bad to the environment" is just bullshit.

Global warming is the biggest scam. When they couldn't hide anymore that he Earth was actually getting cooler, they changed to name to climate change.

To "save the environment" we need better societies worldwide. I believe bitcoin is a good step forward in that direction, no matter how much electricity is needed to secure the network now, in this early stages..

About pos, I think its a good idea for an altcoin. It needs to be tested in large scale, like Ethereum
11671  Economy / Services / Re: 0.01 BTC Bounty for anyone to help me solve the problem below: on: October 24, 2018, 08:31:29 PM
3BMEXgWPVHHRwX54HKN46bKw8CPkXtkf18 - .that is the address I sent it to, clearly not yours, I apologize for my dumb-ass, all assets are in Bitmex, I'll transfer some out on their next batch of withdrawals sorry ;-;

So, are you going to pay the reward?
11672  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: TrueUSD enters the top fifty (by market-cap) on: October 24, 2018, 07:14:59 PM
Usdc , from Goldman's Sachs...
And DAI, a decentralized stable coin

New stable coins coming around. It's good to have alternatives, because if tether crashes, the fall of the cryptocurrency market will not be so big if other stable coins are ok(and largely used)
11673  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bloomberg for crypto on: October 24, 2018, 06:20:40 PM
There are already so many cryptocurrency news websites.

Almost with all the same news, poorly written.
There are few exceptions around like cointelegraph and ccn with superior quality
11674  Other / Meta / Re: Can we establish a division for posters according to their quality? on: October 24, 2018, 03:32:02 AM
I’ve thinking about this lately. Exceptional posters earn merit at a much faster rate than their activity.

Right now, the people earning merit the fastest are the ones that are compiling and analyzing merit data.  :/

That's true.

Also I noticed that lots of merits are giving in topics like that one about "new reporter badges".

I was thinking about it latetly. More people are trying to make posts about merit data and statics to get merits.
It's not all bad, as those topics are useful for the forum and to users as well.
11675  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I need help so some developer can create an offline wallet for my waves token. on: October 23, 2018, 02:13:26 AM
Firstly, I think you want to mention cold storage rather then private keys offline, because, of course, we are always possible to keep our private key offline by writing down it.

I believe that using an airgapped PC is the best way to store privatekeys.

However a ledger nano is a simple solution for any newbie, as creating an airgapped computer is not an easy task for a newbie.

I use a ledger myself, as I don't have an extra offline computer..
11676  Economy / Exchanges / Re: RightBTC good exchange or scam? on: October 23, 2018, 12:04:43 AM
Despite the simplicity of this platform and its ease of use, it managed by an unknown company, and trading volume is low and is enough to avoid it.
This topic debated on this platform, in addition to open scam against it. I hope you read it[1]

[1] Rightbtc exchange scam

It is also wierd to see that the op received 8 merits for this useless post. Probably other people related to this exchange.

Anyway doesn't look like a good and trusted attitude for an exchange
11677  Economy / Services / Re: [SURVEY]|Take a quick Survey about Gambling & Bitcoin/Crypto|Get $3 in BTC on: October 22, 2018, 09:14:08 PM
Thanks for continuing to fill this one up guys! I was hoping for a bigger reach but perhaps $3 just isn't enough to get peoples juices flowing, either way, keep it coming!

Hhampuz, I believe that few people follow this board.

At services board you might get bigger reach?
Just a suggestion.

I learned about this survey jusy because i took a look at your profile while looking for some campaigns.

11680  Other / Meta / Re: Another on topic post deleted !?! on: October 21, 2018, 01:01:00 PM

It's not advertising and have correlation with topic, even though i doubt people would understand what he's trying to tell without check the links. Read both thread's topic and link/source carefully next time.

I do not click on links that I don't know what they are
I don't click on links to know what they are.
I don't click on links to know of they are topic related.

This is basic security tips.

This guy is basically promoting some website to get clicks.. in a lazy way, without any explanation about the link.

The link may be useful , but he didn't explained and got deleted. Fair enough in my opinion.
