11701  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Is Better Than Any Banks And Any Other Third Parties on: February 09, 2017, 02:43:04 PM
Every year migrants around the world send billions of USD/EUR back to their families. The cost of sending cash via Western Union and Money Gram averages 10-20% in fees. However bitcoin is emerging as an alternative which offers lower fees and faster payments.

Bitcoin also helps allot for countries with high inflation to store value in Bitcoins.
Bitcoin helps for millions of people worldwide.

How bitcoin helps for your life?

My friend started sending me bitcoins late last year. Before, she
sends the money thru Western Union, I had a lot of issues with
WU before, like typographic error in the name, etc. so I didn't get the
money in time. So I told her to choose bitcoin, and so it began
that she send it to me thru bitcoin without any hassle on my end.
11702  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Who will win WW3? on: February 09, 2017, 12:36:25 PM
There will be no winners in WW3 The planet will explode and became floating asteroids if God doesn't save us all.

Nope. The nuclear weapons are having a limited range. So even in the worst case, at least 10% or 20% of the world population will survive the world war. Considering that the world is already over-populated, a population of 1 billion will be more than enough to sustain the human population in this planet. But I am afraid that the world war will take away the best people from our species, just like it did during the WW1 and WW2.

Well i don't think the results would even br close to ww1 and ww2 if ever there would be a third ww. We all know the effects of what a single nuke can do to any country so imagine if it would be the main weapon to be used. 20% would most likely survive the initial effects but what about it's long term effects? Radiation doesn't only affect people but things that we need to survive. Imagine what would happen to the remainih 20% of the population if that happens. For me, ww3 would pretty much spell extinction for a lot of specie and that may include us in the long run

Few will survive the war if they use weapons that are powerful, remember, as you've mentioned, the "radiation"... It will not just kill the surroundings, but including our offspring... In short, if some survive, for sure, their next generation are still in danger of extinction or if not, they will be having defects and are not physically fit to produce new generations that are normal...  Smiley

This will be the bloodiest war in history in terms of casualties.
The few remaining will survived and will carry the legacy of
the human race.

But it will take another hundred years for humans to evolved
free of deformities because of the effect of WW3.

11703  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Possible to Mine Bitcoins Using Desktop? on: February 09, 2017, 10:04:59 AM
Is it still possible to mine for bitcoins using a normal desktop computer nowadays?

It is possible? Yes. But the question is it worth it? No.Its just a waste
of time and your money. I dont think you will earn a decent btc,
you will earn just a penny. Mining today uses specialized specification
hardware design for mining not just an ordinary.desktop PC.
11704  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bribing via bitcoin a good idea? on: February 09, 2017, 05:57:11 AM
With 1000 dollars each, it seems that bribing with bitcoin would be a good idea.  One USB stick will do the job with no third party required.

This is like taken out of a movie, you go to a restaurant
someone sits beside you, you put down the USB stick
then you left, the person then beside you pick it up... Grin

But seriously, I don't like the idea, its still bribing and
corrupting someone, sooner or later you will be caught
and the full hands of the law will be coming over to
get you.

11705  Economy / Economics / Re: Use cases that currently Bitcoin and Ethereum cannot support due to scalability on: February 09, 2017, 05:23:23 AM
Hi, blockchain is much hyped right now. However we haven't seen many successful use cases beyond cryptocurrency. One issue is that as a decentralized system, Bitcoin performs poorly. What are some use cases that can only be realized with more scalable blockchain solutions?

Are you saying that bitcoin design was flawed at the very beginning
regarding scalability?

Projects being implemented using blockchain technology outside of
bitcoin.

Using holographic smart-tags uniquely link a physical item with the virtual blockchain.

Using blockchain technology for the import and re-export process of goods in and out of Dubai

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1782126.0.

So there's a lot more application of blockchain technology outside of bitcoin and
a lot of industries are taking advantage of it.

11706  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: www.mybtcpool.com - scammers or not? on: February 09, 2017, 04:08:10 AM
His website design just simple and the webhost is godaddy.com
In the contact page it says: "When is comes to activating or installing a new product let our experts get you up and running fast."
I don't knowwho the experts he referring to, I don't see experts
on his about page as well. Please read the the Terms and Conditions,
specially the Disclaimer part.

On the Facebook Fan page I saw some pictures, but I don't know if
its a taken from photobucket. No Likes or Comments.

Brian's Facebook profile shows a big house not his picture.
but he has 5000 friends.

You need to investigate more before making the final decision.
11707  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: We're using the Bitcoin blockchain for the Sharing Economy on: February 08, 2017, 02:14:42 PM
I subscribe and answer your survey as well. I'm interested how
this pan's out. A lot of industries now are using blockchain and
taking advantage of this technology.

Here is another thread I opened explore the use of blockchain

technology for the import and re-export process of goods in and out of Dubai.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1782126.msg17773525#msg17773525

What's your plan of rolling out this project I understand your plan
is providing "fingerprinting" physical goods and entities, But is this
global, or US/UK based only? The reason I'm asking is that I'm not
from US and I want to understand how its suits up locally here.

Thanks and Goodluck!!!

11708  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Silent miner on 30+ PCs on: February 08, 2017, 12:13:52 PM
Ok, here's the thing and the idea. If I were to go to the my university computer lab where computers are not restricted by anything, so I everyone has full freedom with them, and install a miner to start up with windows in the background, excluded in the antivirus and working on low % so it doesn't slow down the pc and use those 30+ pcs to mine some alt-coin (example). Would that pay off in some time and way and also, what's the punishment if I were to get caught besides the suspension?

Small time mining is not worth it. You will be caught sooner or later.
Again, you can only mine a few penny and once you got caught,
the school will investigate you and most likely you will not only
be suspended but will be kick out of the school and possibly, jail time
if they found out more evidence against you that will warrant it.

Its the risk you willing to take?
11709  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: What do you think of Epay.com? most cheaper fee? on: February 08, 2017, 06:08:58 AM
I have an epay global payment account since Sept 2016. Transaction is
smooth except for a few downtimes I have experienced with them
but they fixed in right away. They also have a affiliate program,
you know how it works so its up to you if you want to earn
some extra money.

This is a similar concept as yours and has been discussed before.

Anyways, Goodluck to your project!!!
11711  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / IBM and Dubai Government initiate blockchain logistics initiative on: February 08, 2017, 03:46:01 AM
IBM is collaborating with Dubai Customs, Dubai Trade and its IT provider Dutech, to explore the use of blockchain technology for the import and re-export process of goods in and out of Dubai.

http://gulfnews.com/business/sectors/technology/ibm-to-collaborate-with-dubai-government-for-blockchain-tech-1.1974813

Global organizations and governments now have all identified blockchain
as a revolutionary technology.

What do you think is the advantage of using blockchain in other industries?
or roadblocks that one can face implementing such kind of techonology?
11712  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the symbol for Altcoins? on: February 07, 2017, 01:05:23 PM

11713  Economy / Economics / Re: First investments in bitcoins on: February 07, 2017, 10:43:30 AM

What do you think about investment in some bitcoins at this high Price ? Thanks guys

For me investing in bitcoin at this price is not a good investment because its hard to
determine what the future Bitcoin price goal should be. But if you are just holding it
because you're plans is a long term goal then definitely a good choice. Goodluck!!!
11714  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Backlog in the Blockchain on: February 07, 2017, 09:21:55 AM
Here take a look at the current transaction backlog.

https://blockchain.info/charts/mempool-count

And to speed up your transaction, you need to raise your transaction fee
so that miners will pick it up. The increase in transaction fee will hurt the bitcoin
community. And the growing mining fee will not be fit for doing micro-transaction
globally.

11715  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2016/17 NBA Season on: February 07, 2017, 05:41:02 AM
The game between the Cavaliers vs The Wizards is very entertaining, Lebron making miracle shot cause the Wizards to end their home winning streak. Now, this team is better now, I think the Cavaliers has a new threat from Wizards, Scott Brooks made this team like the Thunder which are good in offense, he know how to utilize the talents from his team now.

Thrilling game between the two. James’ three-pointer with .3 seconds left in the fourth quarter forced overtime,
He also made a career-high 17 assists, passed Lenny Wilkens for No. 13 on the NBA’s all-time assist list.
Cavaliers sending message to the resurging Wizards, that they are still the King in the East.

11717  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How did you started to gamble? What was your beginning like? on: February 06, 2017, 01:39:34 PM
Been gambling on and off as far I can remember. In high school, my friends
would bring a card at our school and and we play baccarrat during our
free time. When I'm growing up, jai-alai and live horse racing. My father
love's horse racing so at early age, I know how to put a bet in it.
Then about 8 years ago I started to play in casino's with my families
and friends as well.

That's how it's started for me.
11718  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Most of the money on: February 06, 2017, 12:27:44 PM
Slots for me, just pure luck. I bankroll 100 USD and bet 10
I pull the lever and lo and behold, wildcards all over, go home
happy bunny with 2k USD,

Another is in Baccarrat, I have 15,11,7 successive Player hand
but I didn't double my bet, but still also win big that night.

Roulette, I bet on either Red or Black color. Red color 15
straight times.

That's only few I can remember of winning the most money.
11719  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you bet on "Sports" games that you don't know? on: February 06, 2017, 10:11:14 AM
Yes, I will still bet on games that I don't know. I will try my it maybe I
will got the "beginners' luck" and won my first bet. And even if I lose,
I will still look at in the positive way, It will be another games added
to my knowledge and maybe in the future, I will bet on that games
and win bigtime!!!
11720  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online Gambling vs Real Gambling on: February 06, 2017, 09:55:59 AM
I prefer online gambling, real gambling is not as good as you want, there are so many factors(noise, smoke, and beautiful dealers) will influence on our judgement, especially playing blackjack needs more calculation and memory.

You got a point. But the factors you mentioned doesn't bother me at all when playing
in a casino. I like the atmosphere in a casino. And when you step in and "smell" the
ambiance your heart start pumping faster and the adrenaline rush to play in a table
or favorite slot machine. So I still prefer real gambling.
