With Pep at City, United has to double their efforts not only to win games.  But also to do well in the business side of football.

Pep isnt known for making business goes much smoother , he is known for the hungry beast that keeps on winning the league. In term of making business , there is no one better than the one that manages real madrid and manchester united currently so eventhough pep won the league, most of the time united will be making much more money

Nope but he's a huge crowd drawer.  I wouldn't be surprised if ticket sales of City games go up this season.  His style of football is lauded all over the media as he's branded to be the man who changed modern football.

Many hated why United chose Mourinho as manager, but from a business standpoint, it made sense.  United's ticket sales will also increase because Mourinho is himself also a crowd drawer.  Imagine if they could get all the players they wanted...  That would really be good for the club overall.  But so far so good for the United summer transfer.  But they still need Pogba.

Pogba could boost the ticket sales more as well as their shirts sales however im waiting for other player instead of him. Instead of just celebrity on the field, they need a real player that could balanced the attacking and defending , that person is definitely not pogba because he is nothing more than just celebrity

I disagree.  Juventus wouldn't slap a 100m British Pound transfer fee on his head if they really thought of him as nothing but a celebrity.  And United wouldn't even take a second look at him if they also thought the same.  The value in Pogba is in his potential.  He's young but imagine what he'll be at 28 - 30 years old.  In his prime years I could see him become a superstar at United.  BUT I do agree with some people here that he might not be.  It's a gamble that they're willing to take for United.

Who do you have in mind instead of Pogba?  Me personally, I like Veratti of PSG.

Nate Diaz increased in size, he looks buffed now the question is is he going to make the weight limit with all that weight that he gained for sizing up. Watching UFC lately is somewhat like a drama, before the fight one willnot make the weight limit, after the fight USADA will declare one was caught with using illegal substance.

I do think that he did use up too much gas, too fast... but I agree that he was also MENTALLY defeated. I have a Martial Artistist friend, so I have seen him in many fights (Karate and Judo) and scraps in Wrestling. he's also been in unsanctioned fights (street fights) and it's true. If you get into someone's head and destroy their delusion of being "better" of a fighter than you, it can, and does negatively effect their performance.

So I guess this fight will end up being a dog fight then?  The question is if McGregor is mentally way stronger coming in this fight.  If he's going to bring the same mindset then Diaz is gonna edge him out.  In order to defeat Diaz, he has to dig really deep and be a type of fighter the way how Lawler is.  That or he could knock him out within the first two rounds, which has a low chance of happening as we have seen in the first fight.  Diaz is more durable than McGregor thought.

Some good news for you guys and I hope it stays that way...  You know how the markets are, especially in cryptos.  I was kinda thinking twice if I post these charts and show you what's going on with them because I might jinx it.  But what the hell.  Smiley

MAID and FCT are now slowly trending.  What's good about them is they're slow trends.  The kind that you don't panic getting into.  So it's good placing a limit order below the current price without fear of getting left behind.

MAID/BTC

FCT/BTC

Now another crypto showing a little spunk is XRP.  This has been trading on decent volume and there are some traders who seem to be in a hurry getting into this taking them to bad entries.  But I've been watching this as you guys have seen in my posts prior.

XRP/BTC

I also am thinking of taking Digibyte off the list.  There's not enough updates on the project and they seem to be hanging by a very thin thread.
11745  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: England Championship Prediction Thread... on: August 06, 2016, 09:34:39 AM
This league is totally unpredictable and don't judge by the coefficient which bookies have given to specific teams like Newcastle to go up to EPL again. Bookies only rely in some transfer and name of the players of each team. What they miss is how much time these players are playing together cause if its first time and have very little time together it needs time until the team gets its real shape. I try to not bet much in the beginning on England championships although I have my VIP tip today for a game in league one.

That's good advice.  And I don't think that applies only in the Championship.  It may very well be applied to all the team sports that one bets on.  There were some of comments in the EPL thread that said the preseason games are not important and shouldn't be used to measure how good or bad a squad is.  To a point I agree because it takes time for players to adjust.  But at the same time I'm thinking the preseason games are really important if you're to judge how good or bad a squad is.  Especially now that there was the Euro 2016 this year.  A lot of the players have had almost no playing time with their club teammates which should be a little bit concerning for most of the top European clubs.
11746  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC 202: Diaz vs McGregor 2 Info and Prediction Thread on: August 06, 2016, 09:20:25 AM
This is a fight that's hard to call.  I can't seem to decide which one I really like to bet on.  I can see both fighters winning this one to be honest.  I guess it will depend on the odds as the fight nears on who I'll bet on.  If the line adds more value on McGregor I'll go for him, if not I'll go for Diaz.  The more I think about it, the slight edge is on McGregor in the first two or three rounds.  But as the fight progresses in the championship rounds, I can see Diaz being comfortable as the fight turns into a real "dog fight" like what coach Zahabi said.

it seem Paul Pogba already have personal deal with Manchester United and after he finished his vacations manchester United said that they will officially announcement that Pogba has return into Old Trafford
the only way I see this mad money signing for a player we let go for nothing will be a complete waste of talent,,! sure that's all he came back for was the money,? and nowadays money doesn't motivate a player just makes them lazy and big headed,,and he has nothing to prove now he smash the world record that's his job done,, if you don't think so take a look at leister last season all the money in the world can't buy you the heart and teamwork they had, but as always time will tell but United for life,

Pogba will not last long enough even if he is the one that smashed the world record, he will be sold if he is playing really bad. I dont think that this is going to happen considering that alot of their midfielder is quite bad so he will be given more chances to keep on proving himself on the field

He will be sold later rather than sooner even if he played bad.  The investment is just too huge for Man United to brush him off easily.  They have to hype and build him up and his image.  They have to sell him to the crowd as the "next Paul Scholes" or something.  With Pep at City, United has to double their efforts not only to win games.  But also to do well in the business side of football.
11748  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2016/17 on: August 06, 2016, 09:06:40 AM
yes if we see when Real Madrid advanced to the Champions League final and being Champion. real madrid struggle easier when advanced to the finals compared to ateltico madrid.

Struggled? Compared to the other team, I dont really remember seeing them struggling in the champions league. They are of deserved to win the champions league however they wont really win it if it was still rafa benitez, it was a good thing that their management decided to sack rafa benitez immediately

Everyone has a different viewpoint  I myself saw the same thing Real Madrid feel more confident in the final because they are against Atletico Madrid
Based on the history of the game both teams always compete in local leagues and international leagues Real madrid can predict the strategy and style of play Atletico Madrid especially Real Madrid beat Atl Madrid  in the same competition a few years ago.

In the long history of the Madrid derbies, Real has more wins in it and they are more confident coming in these matches because there was a psychological "feel" that they always have the upper hand.  I agree that there was much more at stake because it was a CL final, but that said, the psychological "feeling" that you will have the upper hand is a big boost on Real's players.  And they do have arguably the better squad compared to Atletico.  Although Atletico's squad is quite good too in my opinion.
11749  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: England Championship Prediction Thread... on: August 06, 2016, 08:56:01 AM
It was a disappointing first game for Newcastle.  Although they are the favorite to win the Championship, and I would love for them to get back to the EPL, it will still be a long and hard road for them getting back.  The Championship is a tough league even though it is only a second tier league in England.  It could be arguably tougher than some European leagues and it is definitely tougher than the MLS.

The clubs I want to see back on top are Newcastle, Leeds and QPR.

Losing Kante is a blow for Leicester, there are rumours they may lose Mahrez to Arsenal too.

I don't think they will defend their title but that new guy Musa looks good, they could get top 4.
new players has showing good performance during pre season matches but if the main players will leave Leicester i'm very doubt they could be in the top 4 because playing on champion league and EPL at the same time is very difficult to maintain the performance especially for small teams such as Leicester

lol are you sure new players has showing a good game during the pre season? Leicester city played very poorly, always suffered a major defeat and conceded 8 goals in two games.

Let's just watch the Community Shield.  Let's see what both clubs got ahead of this season and what to expect from both of them.  I'm sure Mourinho would love to win this as it's his first real game with Man United.

I was thinking.  What made McLaren change engines from Mercedes to Honda?  I remember they used to have Mercedes engines with the V8's.  What made them switch to Honda's V6 turbo?

If McLaren were still using the Mercedes engines, they could be a contender.
11754  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: August 05, 2016, 10:25:10 AM
I think Manchester City will win there first match because they are at home and they have a good record at home playing the first match of the season. The Arsenal v Liverpool match will be a great game and I think Arsenal will also win as it is there home game. I can't wait for this season to start as there are so many teams that can win the Premier League this season.
a chance to get the Premier League title this season is open to all teams. they will always try to show an interesting game on a weekly basis and supported by world-class coaches who are in the Premier League.

Yes agree with you, every team have chance to win the title
but what makes me curious about leicester, can they keep the title as defending champion

I'm almost certain that this will not happen. Last season the big teams were in a bad moment, it won't happen again this season.

I totally, TOTALLY agree.  It was weird last season.  There was something obviously wrong with Chelsea.  Man United were underperforming under LVG.  Man City got their fair share of variance and things didn't go their way.  Arsenal is well, Arsenal.  I think Tottenham had a good season but it wasn't enough.

You have to admit, Leicester got lucky many many times last season.  It's not gonna happen again this year.  It was a fluke.

UFC 202 Free Fight: Conor McGregor vs Nate Diaz 1

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p3VN21wOq2A

The first fight between McGregor and Diaz.  It was a damn good fight and it was going in the way of McGregor only to be lost after Diaz got aggro and kept hitting the Irishman with one - two's and slaps in the face.  Watch it now if you haven't yet.

Enjoy.

pogba is likely back to manchester united after mourinho say manchester united definitely bring in one more player to old trafford.

I agree.  And Pogba is a player that United really really needs right now.  I also think it's a done deal.  We are just waiting for the official announcement.  You know United, they are in for the suspense to get more media mileage.  Just like the Mourinho signing.  We all know it was a done deal but both camps were still denying it.

i hope Vettel have the same patience of Michael Schumacher, wait 5 years in ferrari first to win a first title, because the next years is very important for the future of F1, more rules chance and if Ferrari wrong another time the car (like was wrong with turbo era) don't win for more years

I agree.  Patience is key for Vettel.  After winning back to back championships at RBR, I think he should give himself more time to grow and mature as a race car driver.  He should have more faith in their engineers as I believe Ferrari has what it takes to be on top again.

The reason why Barca and Real have not splashed money this summer is because they were ordered by the Spanish government to repay all the money they owe in the form of "soft loans, tax breaks and property deals from the government over the past 26 years."

Now we know why these "giants" are so good at inflating the transfer market.  They've been using the people's money to fund their football clubs.

Real Madrid and Barcelona ordered to repay millions in support from Spanish government

Spanish authorities have been ordered to reclaim millions of pounds given to Real Madrid and Barcelona in state support.

The La Liga juggernauts are among the teams said to have benefited from soft loans, tax breaks and property deals from the government over the past 26 years.

Margrethe Vestager, the EU competition commissioner, demanded the beginning of repayments on Monday.

"Using taxpayers' money to finance professional football clubs can create unfair competition," Vestager said in a statement.

"Professional football is a commercial activity with significant money involved and public money must comply with fair competition rules."

I just watched the Man United vs Everton preseason match.  They say Mourinho's style of football is boring.  Well there was nothing boring about that game.  I think it's just the media hating on Mourinho comparing him to the more attacking minded managers like Pep.  And we read that, that makes us have the same opinion of him.  But when you watch his games, they are far from boring.
It's because MU have many good attacking players, so using defensive style was not a wise choice for him. Well it's still pre season match, we could take a look at the first season of Louis van Gaal became MU coach, which MU won ICC in pre season but failed in official tournament.
yeah manchester united couldnt be judged over a freindlies as big teams dont show their full strengh in those matches an also they tend to give younger players a chance to play in first team so if we would see MU true face it will be against Leicester in The next few days

It's true we can't judge any team in preseason friendly matches, because every team play relaxed game in these kind of encounters where they have nothing lose, I think this was match was nothing more than a practice match, the real action will begin after few days when every team will go real battle into this league.

There's value in watching the preseason games if you intend to be betting on them regularly when the season starts.  Like for example with United, they played well but you can tell that some of the players don't quite get the timing with Ibra yet.  There were a few thru balls that weren't timed well by the forward runners.  In time we'll be seeing a lot of assists from Ibra if they get the timing right.  I'm sure there are quite a few more of these instances.

In this weekend's game I hope Ranieri starts Vardy and Musa in a 4 - 4 - 2.  I like the Man United defense based on what I saw preseason.  But they would have a hell of a time with Musa + Vardy.
