11741  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Bitcoin mining should be profitable now on: May 28, 2017, 01:34:28 PM
Profitable if you have the hardware to mine however if you are going to rely on cloud mining, then it's best to just keep your coins instead. If your hardware isn't powerful enough to give sufficient hashes then try not to mine bitcoin directly but look for other altcoins out there.
11742  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Small fortune, now which country ? on: May 28, 2017, 01:20:37 PM
I'll go with the suggestion of Dabs. I myself am planning to buy my own house and lot here in the Philippines considering the cheap amount of real estate in here. $50k dollars would land you a 2 bedroom house near the metros, $400-$500k would get you a nice villa, 4 bedrooms, 2 storey house with a nice swimming pool. Plus, everything is cheap. $50 could feed 50 people 1 value meal in a fastfood chain.

Settling down and living your life would be best in a cheap country with world class tourist places. Philippines would be nice, the people are generally good and everyone will treat you special.

Oh and btw, if you want you can get a franchise of a famous fastfood chain in here for only $400k Wink
11743  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Buy 1 Bitcoin on: May 28, 2017, 01:05:40 PM
It depends on how long would you be able to hold that 1 singlw bitcoin. The road could be very tempting since we might reach $3000-$4000 very soon. Realistically speaking though, 30 years is forever in crypto, and a lot more things could come along the way. Though bitcoin might not reach million per single coin, it can somehow be worh something that could help you in your retirement in the next 3 decades.
11744  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: how many unspendable bitcoins are there? on: May 28, 2017, 12:11:24 PM
We can get the number of unconfirmed tx to add it to the stats however getting the exact amount of unspendable coins due to tx fee wouldn't be worthwhile. Dust outputs also adds up to the tx fee as well, and it wouldn't be worthwhile to collect dust since you'll have trouble spending them in the future. I still have a total of 1.756 btc in my blockchain wallet which remains unspendable since it all came from the spam attacks last 2015.
11745  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoins dropping in price on: May 28, 2017, 12:59:29 AM
It's either of two things: a healthy correction or a start of a bitter downfall. But as I see it, support on the $1800 seem to be strong upon further checking in exchanges. Strong support is indicative of a potential bull run ahead. Idk but somehow I'm inclined to buy some bitcoins first than regret it later—again.
11746  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is not anywhere close to a BUBBLE - Altcoins are in a BUBBLE! on: May 27, 2017, 06:16:56 AM
Sure the $2700 was a bubble as well and not just the altcoin markets. Bitcoin, though a rather stronger asset ckmpared to alts, is also in a bubble. See how both assets share both trends? Only in the alt market it is a much higher increase/decrease. I don't see that the $2000 market will hold for long, but if it does, then this bubble isn't over yet perhaps.
11747  Economy / Speculation / Re: Price going below 2k$ on: May 27, 2017, 06:02:44 AM
is 2800 a Buble? what is the reason for this drastic price down ?

Price correction + profit calls made by traders who want to liquidate their btc. The sudden surge of the price to $2700 is somehow sketchy, and could somehow be a minor pump. Price settling down to $2100 or so is still good since that is where we started prior before the crazy increase to a new ATH. Some people who may have missed the train could still buy a ticket or two. This doesn't stop here and we could see another run for it, probably a more stable one after the Aussies implements their new law regarding the tax with bitcoin starting July 1st.
11748  Other / Off-topic / Re: Better bitcoin strategy on: May 27, 2017, 05:54:56 AM
mining is the best one still even after the recent big dump on all the altcoin, there is too much profit to be made it's not even funny anymore

to give you an idea a single gpu is doing $200 a month, which is crazy, other option you mentioned are either dangerous like trading or not profitable and a waste of time like with faucets

I wonder what cards would still be able to produce such a profit for a month? As far as I know the RX 470 from AMD are the ones that are very efficient in mining. For people who cannot afford such hardware, it cannot be a viable option since you would also need a big capital to get your operation working, but I agree that it is still one of the best methods out there aside from buying low and selling high.
11749  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is BTC for you? on: May 26, 2017, 05:07:48 PM
Right now, for me bitcoin is nothing more than an investment vehicle being used by people who are lucky enough to know about it in the right time and less than what an actual currency can do. Yes, it is certainly true that bitcoin does have a large monetary value but we are still far off from mainstream adoption (shops accepting it as a regular payment like fiat) which will further define it as a currency. As of this moment, the market is only for investors, techy guys and speculators who wants to make more money out of what they have right now.
11750  Economy / Speculation / Re: $2000 to $2100 in 12 hours! on: May 21, 2017, 06:57:15 PM
It's a shame that we have such a great rally in price but in development we are on a stalemate since no one wants to start doing what is needed for bitcoin's future growth. Everyone just seem to accept bitcoin such as the Japs, Koreans and Aussies but apparently we still have the shitty tx conf times on top of it all.

$2033 on my ticker boys, still a positive thing to keep in mind.
11751  Economy / Economics / Re: bitcoin provide income on line? on: May 21, 2017, 06:50:01 PM
It is not advisable to quit your day job to focus mainly on bitcoin since anytime the market could flop and trail. Sure there are some opportunities out there for bitcoin but if you're not super good at the field, don't quit on what you have right now just for those colorful hopes. You still can have your day job and buy bitcoin when you have the money. In that way you'll be gettting passive income if bitcoin's price performs well.
11752  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC is worth $2,350 in Japan and S. Korea (2nd and 3rd largest exchange markets) on: May 21, 2017, 06:43:21 PM
As always, Western exchanges would be trailing behind and big market players in the East would be the trend setters. Also, this shows how positive the reception is from the people of the said countries after their governments gave rhe green flag for bitcoin trading. This is a nice start towards future movements.
11753  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do you manage ur emotions? on: May 21, 2017, 06:40:56 PM
Looking for the answer to your question. I'm also in the same situation and I mostly forget to stop trading when I'm loosing. But now a days trying to trading itself to stop my heavy loss. Hoping to find a way to do it smoothly.

That's one of the things that you can't afford to do when you trade. I've accepted the fact long ago that with trading, losing is something that can't be avoided and treat it as something to learn from. Relax and keep focus. That's how you keep your emotions in check and that's how you avoid making wrong decisions that can make things a lot worse

It probably comes along with experience. I'm not an experienced trader and it's very difficult for me to control my emotions. I often make the wrong decisions that aggravate the situation. Sometimes I think that trade is not for me

I've always thought about that when I was just starting myself out in the grim business of day trading. Losing a fraction of my initial deposit already pains me, and the fact that it could be taken away within the day have alarmed me as well back then. I tried to fight off the anxiety and somehow it worked. But there are cases when you can't just help but pull thd trigger whenever you are already at a loss, hoping for massive comeback. Ghat is where it gets messy, and only experience will allow you to not do that stupid thing again out of frustration.
11754  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: You only lose if... on: May 21, 2017, 06:24:01 PM
You only lose if you sell at a loss but sometimes you're holding a sinking ship and it's best to just move on.

When do we know exactly if we're just holding trash bags? Bitcoin's price stagnated for a year in 2014-2015 and people called it as the end since there wasn't any new money flowing in the economy. As long as people are still talking about a certain thing or the genuine interest is there, we shouldn't be selling at a loss and just wait for a couple more movements before finalizing our move.
11755  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling sites earnings? on: May 21, 2017, 06:20:47 PM
The bigger question that lingers within me right now is how do these sportsbook manage on profiting knowing that most gamblers know who and what to bet on a given event. I understand that luck-based games do get their profits regularly since there are no known strategies to win on dice. Even if high rollers win, there would still be some profits to be claimed as well. But for sports bookies, that is really a tough question unless they post their stats.
11756  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Best cellphone wallets on: May 21, 2017, 06:13:39 PM
I personally use Mycellium for my older device which serves as a temporary cold wallet due to its security features and Bitcoin wallet created by Andreas Schildbach because of its simplicity and efficiency when it comes to creating transactions especially the fees given that most tx are having some hard time being confirmed. Been using both wallets for 2 years and never have had any problems from using them so far.
11757  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin sucks ass but price still rises- how come on: May 21, 2017, 05:58:43 PM
Knowing that several countries are now offering their arms wide open to bitcoin (Japan, Australia, SoKor etc.), the reaction of the market would be positive, thus the price increase. I agree, transaction confirmation times haven't been that great lately, but that would be relieved once we finally agreed upon into something (SegEit or BU). Also, bitcoin doesn't suck. For tx, it sure does, but for other things—mostly store of value—it is a great performer.
11758  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is Signature Campaign effective for your business ? on: May 21, 2017, 05:53:49 PM
Sorry if put this on the wrong sub-forum.
I don't know where else this topic would fit.

So, for the marketer/advertiser who paying other members to put your ads on their signature space.

Im wondering, do the signature campaign effective ?
Like the senior member signature gave you better chance of conversion and everything ?

It is, to be honest because members are posting through different sub-forums in a daily basis and over a hundred thousand viewers would be seeing these colorful tags beneath every users' reply. It is most effective for gambling sites offering up their new platform to would-be players since moat gamblers like to go in from place to place to see where would they feel comfortable or lucky, and sig campaigns help a ton on attracting them. Another evidence on how effective it is is that I've been doing sig campaigns for three years, and over these years, more and more services are doing paid advertising via posting since it tends to get more attention quickly rather than just posting banners into some websites.
11759  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to see multiple coins same time easily? on: May 21, 2017, 05:47:35 PM
This should go to the Service Discussion board.

If you are looking for a handy tool to check all prices in all exchanges who have their data in public at one glance, gou need to go to bitcoinwisdom.com. It shows real-time price changes in btc but for altcoins, you need to manually look it up in Polo or coinmarketcap.com since I think no such site exists as of yet.
11760  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If today was your last day, would you gamble everything? on: May 21, 2017, 05:44:28 PM
If I don't have any family then yes, I would give it a go but if I have someone to leave behind, I would just give it to them to use in their lives. Also, I probably wouldn't spend it all in one go since gambling would just be a short portio of the 24-hour period I have left in this life. I'm gonna go get some class-A hookers and live my last day to the fullest with the money I got.
