1181  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: An Indian casino in New York? on: March 22, 2021, 10:28:32 PM
This could help bring money and funding back to the Natives who literally have been robbed of their land and pride as bonafide Americans. Hopefully though no racial discrimination is to happen while they are in operation as that will be a huge punch to the gut for these poor fellows. Haven't personally been to an Indian casino but then again, I'm going to guess that it's just like our regular ones except owned by native Americans.
1182  Economy / Economics / Re: How much can you make by saving and compounding on: March 21, 2021, 02:39:42 AM
This is provided that you have the necessary consistent funding that you will then save and compound. Some people don't have that luxury although it is inarguably a good way to earn in this market. There are plans and techniques on the other hand that could solve this money issue, which the poor should know more about.
1183  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Sold my first Bitcoin and am happy on: March 21, 2021, 02:26:24 AM
Dude, it's your money. HODL at all costs is nothing but a good slogan to pump us up when the price is dire. But with the current situation of bitcoin being a bit better than the usual, there's no reason for you to feel bad about selling it. Anyway that is your hard-earned money, so we have no say about what you will do with it.

Congrats by the way. Not everyone had saved money last 2019 to buy bitcoins themselves. Enjoy it, and spend it wisely.
1184  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Buying 1 BTC is ‘like owning 60 cars? on: March 21, 2021, 02:23:41 AM
Nothing but the rich giving uneducated and biased opinions about bitcoin. As if we're nit used to it. Last couple of months it was JP Morgan, then next thing we found out they are integrating bitcoin into their banking system. The way these bankers and rich are kneeling to the power of the collective poor people is funny, and I believe this is payback time.

This shows an opinionated thought about Bitcoin that seems to have no further better understanding of what Bitcoin is really all about and what benefits and features does Bitcoin can cater making people to be attracted into it. People seems to be likely always seeking potential and possible negativity against Bitcoin making it a point releasing statements that confuse other people's mind and are starting to doubt Bitcoin credibility when it comes to performance. Well, it is still his own opinion with regards to what he understand about Bitcoin comparing it into like owning 60 cars for having 1 Bitcoin. It is still up into us if we will just believe into such statements or make it a point to just ignore it knowing the fact that we further understand more than that about Bitcoin itself compared to him.
Exactly. Thing is, critics of bitcoin would often focus on how volatile it is, how unconventional and unprpfitable it will be in the long run, and all that crap, but bitcoin consistently breaks these barriers and altogether changes the way people think about it. Next thing we'll know, Blanch is holding a couple of bitcoins himself.

Lmao
1185  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Twitter hackers pleads guilty and agree to a 3 year in prison on: March 21, 2021, 02:19:03 AM
With crypto scams only being given at most 3 years, nobody's going to be scared of the repercussions of this hack. Not to mention the fact that the case they are suspected of is already almost 2 years old. Justice seems to be a bit complacent on things she does not have an idea of. A penalty could be imposed, plus add more years on his prison sentence if found guilty. That should teach guys like him a lesson.
1186  Economy / Economics / Re: Dorsey to donate his 1st Tweet benefits to charity on: March 21, 2021, 02:15:13 AM
Not so sure how rich Dorsey is, but even if this is to serve as tax write-offs, it's still beneficial at the end of the day. Charitable acts like this would put the person in a good light and would also help build the image of NFT to the people who barely knows it. So it's a win-win for the ones who donated and the ones who are supposed to receive it. Egotistic Altruism is what will save this planet from the apocalypse, mark my words.
Well, we should appreciate the action but as you said, the companies really try hard to not pay tax and pay the minimum, and then going out and doing charity by promoting their name is cringy, and not something for which praise will come out from heart. It's just that the action is good, but the way of his implementation makes it negative and fake. Should have done it in private so that he could achieve some mental peace for doing something good, and they have so much money, it's not that they are cutting their lifestyle by lots when doing such promotional charity, but nonetheless, the charity is good.
Charitable act is still Charitable act, one may argue that it is nothing but tax write-offs but at the end of the day, he gave something back, doesn't matter how much it is really, because st the current stature of the market, every dollar counts.
1187  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin after the pandemic on: March 21, 2021, 02:09:59 AM
I imagine bitcoin staying as it is after the pandemic has subsided. There's no big factors that would greatly affect its price anyway so I don't see how it's price will drop or rise drastically. Unless a huge buy or a huge sell is made by one or more people. This could cause a big change in the price and altogether alter bitcoin's value. Then again at the end of the day these man-made factors cannot be put into the equation beforehand because they're very unpredictable.
1188  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Best strategy on: March 21, 2021, 01:30:35 AM
Martingale seems to be the best way to secure profits in dice and slots, but the thing is that's not going to cut it for people who gambles on a tight budget. What I would suggest is to play on low volatility slots instead as that of course will secure you profits, although do not expect too much from it because again, it's low volatility.
All games you've said are based on luck. There's no such strategy that will make you win from them as winning is random. The strategy relies on how you react and set your bets.
Enjoy the game and if you win some, remember that you will also lose some or more.
But there are certain techniques that you can employ to atleast guarantee that by the end of your gambling session, you'd have something to take home with. Martingale Strat is but one of the few strategy for dice, which ensures that even if you lose games, you'd still be earning by the end of it.
1189  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Being impredictable on: March 21, 2021, 01:25:12 AM
Playing online is the best way to become unpredictable, your gestures, your emotions, even the actions that you subliminally do that others can notice without you noticing it yourself, which can oftentimes give your cards away is pretty much not observable. So if you really want to, Online Poker is the way to go.
There is an interesting psychological trick that can be successfully applied in the game of poker.

Its essence lies in the creation of subpersonalities and interaction with players from the position of subpersonalities.  This is not difficult if you have studied acting and know how to get used to the role according to Stanislavsky's method.  This will allow you to always be unpredictable.  It will be very difficult for your opponents to predict your actions.

Also pay attention to the game Mafia.  The Mafia game is very popular in Ukraine and Russia.

Mafia lovers are masters of bluffing, and poker players can learn a lot from them.
Basically bluffing, if you bluff every time, nobody will trust you and you'll be unpredictable as earthquakes. So I guess if you still want to play poker in a casino setting, then bluffing is the way to go.

1191  Economy / Economics / Re: Can the average buying of some companies be considered a sign of the bottom? on: March 19, 2021, 03:25:44 AM
Not a sign or symptom but the first wave of an impending disaster. Don't want to be the pessimist guy in here or the doomer boy but as OP have mentioned, these guys will sell at some point, probably later this year, and when that happens, us small time investors will be the one to take the beating of a lifetime, and capitalism wins yet again.
1192  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Elon Musk name once again used to fool people by hackers! on: March 19, 2021, 03:06:21 AM
These scams cater to the populace that does not fact check and does not read between the lines. That's why it works. People may argue about how stupid it is and how it's not going to fool the average person but you have to realize that the people getting scammed by these people, for the lack of a better term, are dumbasses. Don't mean to put insult to injury but that's just how I see it, this is just like the Nigerian Prince email scam if you'd think, yet as we all know people are still getting scammed by it.
1193  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: where the sounds of supporter comes from? on: March 19, 2021, 02:49:32 AM
What the OP might've thought is a cursed video or something of the sorts can be easily answered by editing. The live footage is empty and plain, so the editors opted to add in sound effects like cheers and claps to add a little more life to the otherwise sad match. Though if you come to think of it, the people used to create this sound effect are now probably dead so it's a bit morbid if you'd come to think of it.
1194  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have anyone tried to stop gamblers from losing while they keep on wagering. on: March 19, 2021, 02:46:13 AM
Dude, you gotta learn how to control yourself. Nobody's out there with the sole purpose of helping you out of your gambling addiction. You have to understand that. It's your own money, and unless it's an SO or a special person important to you, you can't expect people just watching your back telling you to stop gambling when you're at the mire. The only one who can help you is you. Let that sink in.
1195  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I have concluded that all governments together can't stop bitcoin on: March 18, 2021, 03:08:18 AM
It's not going to be easy, but if all cpuntries were to stop bitcoin, it will involve spending millions and millions of money and would also involve billions of dollars in losses, because the most sensible way of beating bitcoin at this moment is to destroy the internet. That's basically it. Yes they can orchestrate a war that will cost them thousands if not millions of lives for the sake of beating a coin without getting into everyone's noses, but most countries in this planet aren't really well-known for their level-headed judgement. So yeah, I think we're screwed.
1196  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: One More Stupid Question. on: March 18, 2021, 03:04:11 AM
It'll take years I guess if you are to mine on your own, with a small margin of luck to the off chance that you get a full block. And even then, you can never expect it since it doesn't happen that very often. And oh, you also have to to take into account the coin/token you're planning to mine, because a much valuable token will be harder to mine than a regular dirtcheap one. Mining isn't really profitable right now, especially if you are to use a single computer. You're better much off learning how to trade.
1197  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Play fewer hands to earn more strategy - Poker on: March 18, 2021, 02:56:45 AM
In theory this doesn't look like a really good idea as less cards means less bluffs which means less chances of your enemy making a wrong call. But then again this utterly compels me and I might just try it in a game or something and see how this goes. I'm thinking this is not a foolproof strategy so there's still a margin of loss that I should take into account but a few tweaks from this strat could make you a poker god at your local pub, if this strat indeed works.
1198  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 'The Simpsons' know who Satoshi Nakamoto is! on: March 18, 2021, 02:48:13 AM
You have to remember to take every "predictions" the Simpsons makes with a grain of salt. Not all the times do they get things right, and upon my close observation, these predictions so to speak are nothing short of people just trying their hardest to connect two inconsequential things to one another. So yeah, they may or may not know who Satoshi is. They may or may haven't aired this episode with the thought of tipping off who Satoshi is or at least what he's up to. Everything is a big guess game.
1199  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: who controls the bitcoin price? on: March 17, 2021, 12:25:07 AM
Whales do have a big impact on the price of the coin, but wall street bankers? Hedge fund managers? Banks? I do not think so. Unless they hodl a significant amount of bitcoins in their portfolio, they wouldn't be able to control a trillion dollar market cap investment, let alone beat. So the main contender we really have in this industry is the big ones at the upper echelons of the bitcoin ladder. After them? Nothing else.
1200  Economy / Economics / Re: Your economic competitor is at the other side of the globe on: March 17, 2021, 12:22:06 AM
With more people losing jobs left and right, this competition for work and for a better economy will only get tighter against multiple countries. Companies are much better off hiring people overseas that they could pay less than what the regular American is supposed to be given, this creates the problem and altogether costs locals their jobs. They could try to do the same with other countries but the number of nations that could handle this is relatively small right now.
