1181  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: February 15, 2020, 09:07:07 AM
Today was holiday for me and I was desperately searching for a live cricket match. Despite having almost a dozen sports channels in India, only one of them was showing a live match (Ranji Trophy match between UP and HP). I watched the match for around 1 hour and by that time Himachal Pradesh bowled out UP and won the game. The players were mostly unknown, and the crowd attendance was very thin. I am really bothered that despite being a cricketing super-power, the domestic matches in India don't get any attention from the fans, unlike the case with county cricket in England and Sheffield Shield in Australia.

This is one of those rare days when you do not find any cricket match. Since the introduction of leagues, there is always some cricket going on somewhere but today there is no match. India is playing with New Zealand XI but the game for the day is over.
1182  Economy / Reputation / Re: Bitcoin Doubler and Hyip site seller. Also spamming by multi posting. on: February 13, 2020, 04:57:37 PM
If you think that then tag them. You dont need everyone's approval on everything you feel is a scam. Some things might require community input, but you have made a few threads here lately without any actions yourself.

Thank you for your good suggestion. I will try to do as like as you said. I did not tag first because I am not a DT. And always try to get an Opinion of a DT member so that the feedback will more accurate.

Btw I have a question " Can I create here a topic for my own. Where I will post all investigation in one place to reduce creating topic again and again."?

Yes, you can create your own topic and you can also give feedback. Although you're not on DT but everyone can do the things for the betterment of the forum in their own capacity. If your work is good , you never know , you might be the DT of the future.  So without thinking if your feedback matter or not, you should do what is right.
1183  Economy / Reputation / Re: Senior and Hero account seller. on: February 12, 2020, 02:10:49 PM
Just to add on what Yahoo62278 said,  others could just be scammers  claiming to have an account for sale yet they actually don't. They afe just waiting prey on anyone stupid enough to trust them.
I think no one uses this method to cheat, it's not optimal  Cheesy Everyone knows that buying an account will involve a lot of security, they won't be stupid to lose money, the escrow is always chosen for safe.
Not only on this forum, bitcointalk accounts are always available out there, intermediary trading sites. If I remember correctly, I have seen a few people selling accounts on bitify. They are expensive and have no information  Roll Eyes

There are many websites like https://selly.io/ where people are selling these accounts and I am sure these are fake accounts. There is no way to know in advance, if the seller will scam you after payment or really give you the account.

Since the introduction of merit, very few accounts attain Sr / Hero Member status and no ones sells their precious accounts.

Yes. Bitcointalk account selling on many websites. But buying an account is risky. The seller does not get caught. But the person who buys the account has a chance to get caught. And if he gets caught, his account may get tag from DT member. So those who buy bitcointalk account, they have higher risk.

The seller gets the money but the buyer will get caught eventually. The writing style changes when the buyer buys the account and starts writing in his own style. Sooner or later it will be identified. Also if an account previous owner was posting in some local section and all of sudden the new owner start posting in another language in another local section, will also indicate the change of hands with the account.
1184  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: February 11, 2020, 04:27:16 PM
It appears to me that clean sweep is coming in next couple of hours  Grin considering kiwis are marching comfortably. This ODI series not looking good for Indian bowlers, they might want to forget this as quick as possible, Even Bumrah.

Edit 1  oops Danger man Guptill out, Bowled!
Agreed. I feel India has been let down by the newbies a bit too often(Mayank, Samson etc) which is why they have been losing quite often. Without Rohit and Dhawan at the helm, majority of the Indian batting order seems to be sinking.

Rahul was the only consistent player throughout the series and I am glad that India stuck with him despite his poor form in 2019. Bowling wise, they definitely need to give bowlers like Chahar more chances. Disappointing to see India bowling so badly(Even Boom Boom is under-performing).

According to Virat these experiment can help India's cause in the long term as ODI game are not primary focus right now due to T-20 World Cup. They tried 2 back-up openers and it failed but they should keep try new combination even if its fail, same goes with the bowling.

Why would you do experiments when your team is performing so well ?

As told by many experts, you should not change the winning combination. Too much experiment and changes will bring bad affect to the team, and this is what happened with Indian team lately and they had to face a white wash in ODI.
1185  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why KYC is extremely dangerous – and useless on: February 11, 2020, 04:10:49 PM
For ICO's yes, for exchange like Binance just needed.

Even though it is still risky to submit our kyc to trusted sites like binance, because those sites can be hacked and the information can be leaked. But we have to trust some sites if we want to use them and sites like binance, coinbase etc are one of them. ICO also make KYC compulsory so if you will not submit your KYC, you will not be able to participate in ICOs. We really don't have much options in this regard.  Sad
1186  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: February 08, 2020, 08:15:31 AM
Look like India will lose today. They middle order collapse badly today. Shreyas Iyer is looking good at 45 and if he can take India home with the tail enders then we can blame Newzealand again for losing the match which could have been easily Won. Anyways its unlikely to happen and India may face unexpected defeat today.

As long as Ravindra Jadeja is there, Indians will be hopeful of a recovery. Because he has rescued them in many similar situations before. Also, Tim Southee has completed his 10 overs and the New Zealand captain has called in Hamish Bennett (who conceded 26 runs from his 3 overs earlier). But Kyle Jamieson still has 4 overs remaining with him. And Indian batsmen really struggled against Jamieson.

TG Southee bowled well and took 2 wickets for 41 runs in 10 overs. Luckly for india, his quota of bowling is over. Bennett has 7 overs left but he is expensive today and bowled at above 7 runs per over. India can still win this one, they only have to bat well and do not lose wickets. the Required run rate at the moment is 6.68 which is also not out of control.
1187  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling: process vs outcome on: February 07, 2020, 10:35:09 PM
It's simple, people prefer the lottery because it is simple, require less mental calculations and the wining is huge. It's just something that the want to believe requires their luck.
Many of those who even play the lottery do not regard themselves as "gamblers". So, it's more like saying that there is specialist for everyone in gambling.

So the outcome is more important in lottery. Every one wishes and want to win lottery but its a bitter truth that only a few people win in lottery and the majority of the users keep on dreaming that they could become rich only through gambling.
Also there is no one specialist in gambling but you only need luck to win a lottery or any gambling game.
1188  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Win a Presidential plane... on: February 06, 2020, 06:46:06 PM
I find some interesting lines into this article.https://nypost.com/2020/02/03/mexican-president-wants-to-raffle-off-his-plane/

Mexican president do make such lottery or raffle to distract from Mexico's record homicide rate and violence and also this,
It says the ticket fee of $25 will go toward medical equipment and hospitals offering free care for the poor.

Do you really buy on that reason?

If this really happens and all the collected money goes in a good cause, there is nothing better than that. The idea of Mexican president is not only interesting but also it made many people surprised that such an idea could come from the president house.  Smiley

Do anyone knows, has this lottery been started and when the draw will be done ? I would really love to know how many people participated and who was the lucky winner.

This is indeed a nice way to get money to help a country collect funds without losing anything in reality and the plane will be bought back with profit. When people will know that the amount collected will be used to help the poor and the needy, many will join the lottery, even they had no interest in the prize.
Don't know about the exact date but i read 15 Feb.
Quote
He said he’ll make a final decision on the drawing Feb. 15.
1189  Economy / Speculation / Re: Monday Is the Best Day to Buy Bitcoin? on: February 02, 2020, 05:45:37 PM
Monday is the best day for you to buy your bitcoin?  Huh Huh

What are your thoughts about this?

Not necessary. Monday is the start of the week and you will see some quick buying but that does not mean that the rest of the week is not good for buying. Actually, bitcoin does not depend on any week day and more importantly follow the trends or whales manipulation.
1190  Economy / Speculation / Re: Corona Virus will Impact the price of Bitcoin ? on: February 02, 2020, 05:07:08 PM
The corona virus has been attacked in many countries. Many People have died and many more people have been attacked this virus. so do you think situation with corona virus will impact the price of Bitcoin.
We don't need an epidemic just for Bitcoin to rise it will rise eventually because we just step in Bitcoin best year the halving year, so I don't want to connect the price of Bitcoin to Corona Virus, but if we are in the bear trend and the price pump then we can connect it to this epidemic.

Corona Virus will Not Impact the price of Bitcoins, but it will impact the human lives.
I am hoping someone soon develops a vaccine for this virus so that the world is saved from this deadly disease.
1191  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: February 02, 2020, 04:59:36 PM
NZ were unlucky in the last two matches and i wish they won this last match because this one will be the Rose Taylor 100th T20. Rose Taylor would want to win this won for his team and nation to give them some sort of relief although India have already won the series.
I do not consider New Zealand as unlucky but they were not able to handle the nerves and cross the winning runs, they were close to win on both occasions and they well set batsman were not able to score the winnings runs and India was putting more pressure on them and hence it is clearly their victory and it was not about luck, the team who was able to handle pressure won on both occasions.

Rightly said, they were again close to win this time but failed to make it again. I think the New Zealand team needs some physiological treatment rather than physical training so that they can handle the pressure. I could not believe they lost today's match when they had control over the match till the very end.

They wer close to win in 4 games out of 5, they lack professionalism. Either the team needs to be changed or the coach. Clearly they have a very different approach to pressure and that is lose the match.

From this series one thing is clear that NZ cannot handle pressure and rightly said atleast last 3 games where easy win for them and from their they lost all the three matches. This would hurt the team, coach, management and also the people who support the team. On contrary India would be happy seeing some performances es by the young talent who handled the pressure so well in last few overs.

When they will see the history, no one will remember that NZ lost the two matches on super over. Everyone will remember this as a worst series they play against India. Also remember they were the ones who were not able to win the ODI worldcup last year when they were so close to a win.
1192  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: 0.73BTC stolen by Localcoin.is on: February 02, 2020, 03:41:45 PM
Because as far as I am aware I am the first person to claim that their funds have been stolen. A plagerised whitepaper is a bit less serious than stolen funds. Anyway I know I am an idiot but the point of this post is so when searching other people clearly see that Localcoin.is has started stealing money.
You don't have to first wait until your funds are stolen before you can start to believe that they are scammers. Plagiarism of the whitepaper, fake team etc is enough to make you avoid them. That's shady and unprofessional and that what most scammers here always do.

Sorry for your loss but this should act as an eye-opener. When you see a red flag or a legitimate warning from someone else. Avoid the service at all costs.

So if the whitepaper was just a copy paste and team members were not real, then it is mistake on the OP who trusted them and did not perform the checks to see if they can be trust worthy or not. 0.73BTC is a big amount and he should have done his research. Also people are scamming in the name of decentralized exchanges and therefore we should beware of that.

~snip~

BTW, I heard that Kane Williamson may skip the 5th match, due to shoulder injury. That would mean that there will be more pressure on the other players, such as Tim Seifert.

Updates are coming that he might be back in the squad. kiwis should look out for positives as they have good record in this venue. So far Kiwis lost only 1 game out of 5 T-20 games here in Bay, Oval. And they are winning all the toss in this series Tongue so it would be interesting to watch if NZ wins toss again because as of now they already tried everything (Chase-Defend).

1196  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crypto gambling websites need to add self-control functionality! on: February 02, 2020, 05:58:08 AM
Lately, I've been gambling a bit too much again and it's impossible to add limits to most crypto gambling websites.
Heck, I've found it to be impossible to just remove your account, without contacting support.

I think it should be mandatory, or at least standard, to include easy ways to prevent members from gambling.
In my country (Belgium), legal gambling websites are required to have player-imposed limits, plus general limits on their websites.
I wish crypto-based gambling websites would do the same.

Anyway, I've just sent an e-mail to the one casino I was still playing on, to close down my account. I hope they'll do that without any issue.
But still, I wish they would just add a function to do it by yourself, or add some self-control functionality.

I.e. let people exclude themselves for X amount of time

It's your own will to stop the gambling. If you want to stop just do not deposit any more money in the casino site and do not login. You do not have to wait for the casino to remove your account in order for you to stop the gambling. These are just excuses that we cannot stop gambling because it is not easy to abadon the account.

Sometimes it is not easy to control ourselves especially if one is addicted to gambling. I once changed the password of the site to a random password and then forgot it. This way i was not able to use that gambling site.  Cheesy
1197  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Poll - How did you find out about Bitcointalk? on: February 01, 2020, 10:13:29 PM
I am fond of gambling and while searching for a review of one of the gambling site, i came across bitcointalk and was amazed to find out that how much gambling area is covered in this forum. This is not only the best forum for bitcoin but also a unique forum where you will get all information and promotion details for all the gambling sites.
1198  Economy / Services / Re: 100 bitcoins rewards for cracking my bitcoine password on: February 01, 2020, 10:34:52 AM
Hi Everyone,
I have a bitcoin wallet that contains 500 bitcoins. I will give you 100 bitcoines if you can crack the password.
Unfortunately, I can’t remember the password as my wallet was created in 2016.
You need to run the code below on a large GPU or CPU cluster using Hashcat. If you can find the password, please send it with your bitcoin wallet address to (alexwallet49@gmail.com) to get the reward.
About the password, It was generated by a random generator. I don’t know the number of characters.

Regards
Alex

There are three possibilities or outcomes of this.

1- You do not own this wallet and want to get free 400 bitcoins if someone do crack it.

2- Even if you own and someone crack it, why would he give you the bitcoins and get 100 bitcoins free. He would run away with your all 500 coins.

3- If this is cracked and it was easy to crack wallets, would you think people would trust bitcoins ? Never, it wouldn't be worth anything if this gets cracked  Wink

1200  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: February 01, 2020, 10:23:46 AM
I was following the U19 World Cup for the past few days and things are going to get really exciting now. India and Pakistan will be taking on each other (on 4th February) in the cricketing field after almost 8 months (the last match was during 2019 Cricket World Cup, in which India defeated the Pakistanis by 89 runs). I have a feeling that the winner of this semi-final may become the champions as well. The other semi-final is between New Zealand and Bangladesh and it is going to be very closely contested.

Thanks for letting us know about the match between I dia and Pakistan. It is a must watch, any format cricket match between the arch rival is a must watch. It will be a guaranteed pressure match with close finish.

The match between India and Pakistan will be played at the Senwes Park ground in Potchefstroom, South Africa. According to the weather update, scattered showers are predicted, but I guess we will be having a full 50-over match. Pakistan had a comfortable (and controversial) victory over their other arch rivals (Afghanistan) during the quarter finals, while India had destroyed Australia in their QF match.

This could be the most viewed match in this U19 world cup. As both team playing to win it is going to be a interesting match and a pressure game as well. Among both teams met in last 5 matches in U19, statistics show India has won 4 out of that. Hopefully rain do not reduce the 50 over game and we have full contest.

India will have an upper hand on this match and they will dominate. Remember they have beaten Australians in the Quarterfinals which is much better team than the Afghanistan, whom Pakistan have beaten. India will be favorites to win this but the hype of this match will be very high.
