We as a community will have to pledge to each other to follow some basic guidelines.
1.) You will only trade on Mintpal @ 4/25/2013 - 8 PM EST - NYC Time.
2.) You will buy at market price and not buy on dips.
3.) You will not use this opportunity to sell off the coins you already hold.
4.) You will not sell any of the coins you buy for 3 days after the community pump.

I want to make it clear that I do advocate adding value to BC and natural growth. But it is clear that BC price is being manipulated to remain at lower levels. We can do nothing and hope eventually we can break the suppression, or we can be proactive and buy up the artificially low sell walls. Whether you agree with the idea or not, if everyone joined in it will work. If appropriate measures are taken we can minimize the sell off that will be sure to follow. The goal here is to establish a floor high enough the makes it too expensive to keep playing these silly games. I would like to remind everyone that a few people vowed to destroy BC and it seems they are trying to keep their promise.
this idea is against everything you have been previously posting. why the sudden change. just make it buy walls. add security, but don't try to pump it 150% that is retarded. maybe a community growth buy would be better. adding buy walls of 50 btc every few hundred sat making a huge wall would be better. iconic, you're naive to think this kind of blatant mass market manipulation will help blackcoin and/or improve its image.
It won't work, and while I don't think you could harm blackcoin, its not great for your reputation.
if you were trading normal stocks, I'm sure this would be illegal.
I am between a rock and a hard place on this one. I want BC to grow naturally, but I also believe there are forces suppressing BC. If we continue on this path I am afraid that the price will be driven down more than it is now. So the only way to stop that is an organized pump. I do agree there could be blow back if it is not done correctly. Putting up high buy walls every 10,000 sat will minimize the sell off. I others and I feel if BC get to around 100k+ sat, the manipulation will be less and then BC can grow naturally. |

You are correct that with big pumps come big dumps. However, we thought this through and some safeguards are being put in place to minimize the sell offs. Right now the price is being heavily manipulated and something big has to be done to stop it. The sell off will not be as severe as before because many of the bag holders from the first sell off already dumped their coins.
With big pumps, come big dumps .... you don't plan pumps because you get the attention of dumpers waiting in the shadows. This kind of event would only HURT blackcoin and BURN new investors who jump in during the pump not knowing that this was planned by the community. The growth we've been doing over the past 2 weeks (NATURALLY) has been great and we need to let it continue. We don't need disruptive things like this. I vote "HELL NO" to this idea. |

Man !! Do you realize that 8PM EST is 2AM in Western Europe ?  If you do that you just loose the European Community for this pump. If you do that at 5PM or 6PM EST, you will have much more people from Europe. Yes but then that leaves our Asian friends out...it was hard to find a time that works for everyone. Community "Pump"
Good morning everyone! I apologize for not responding, I finally got some sleep! I had a chance to catch up and I would like to point out a few things.
1. I am honored and humbled that I have gained the trust of this community. That being said one person being in charge of that much BTC is not a good idea for many reasons.
a) That person will immediately be targeted because it is publicly known how much BTC he/she is in control of.
b) Keeping track of who sent funds and then redistributing the funds will be a nightmare.
c) Lets address the elephant in the room, theft. That is a lot of BTC for one person to control and some people will not feel comfortable having me or even the pool in charge of that much BTC.
2. I do not think we need to have one entity in charge. I think if we all trade on the same platform and work in unison, it will have the same outcome as one person trading for everyone.
3. For this to work we would all have to make a pledge as ladies and gentlemen and stick to our pledge.
a) Everyone involved agrees to buy at the current market price, not wait for a dip
b) You cannot sell what you bought for at least 3 days
3. This can work in the short term but I honestly do not know what the after effect will be because a community has never collectively pumped a coin before.
I just want to add for quite sometime I have publicly expressed my concerns that one or more people are suppressing the price of BlackCoin. I have taken heat in public and behind the scenes because of my comments, but I stand firmly behind my comments. Now I am being contacted privately by people who also believe the price is being purposely suppressed and they are frustrated as well. I noticed this suppression around 10,000 sat and as soon as we were able to break the 10,000 wall BC exploded in price. Whomever was suppressingn BC seemed to have lost their grip after 10,000 sat, but then we had a massive sell off around 80k sat. I do not believe the sell off was orchestrated, I believe a bunch of people who never seen that much money before started to cash out quickly. However, I think when we went back to around 14000 sat, this person or persons were able to regain control and has been back to suppressing BC.
A Massive buy will break through the suppression but also give this community something to rally behind. We will also make history once again since this has never been publicly done before in crypto. The news of us doing this will make others not interested in BC to join in because they know the price will be going up.
Around 8AM EST this morning I will announce the date and time we will do this.

The community is patient for an eventual price swell but its moves like these that discourage new miners. Price increases will make new miners want to join and thus make adoption happen even sooner. It is most likely multiple people. If two or more people place the same sell order, Mintpal combines them together. So if I have a sell order for 10BTC @ 40000 and you have a sell order for 10BTC @ 40000 it will be displayed as 20BTC @ 40000. If a large percentage of this community joined in the outcome would be epic ... I am in if anyone else is interested....+1 + 1 I'd be in as well! It could be huge if we could coordinate it correctly and a lot of people joined in. If we could get at least 400 people and everyone spent a minimum of 0.5 btc, it could stop the games some sellers are playing. mintpal made $28,500 just on BC in tast 24 hours.
3790BTC x 500 = 1,895,000 x 0.015
Time for us to start bugging mintpal about trading pairs for BC, in fact we as a community have made them so much money we should almost expect them to do so for us. They are making a ton of $$$ on this coin. +1 I agree with you 100%. They are making a lot of money off of BC trades, and the least they can do is give us one BC pair to start. BC/Doge. |

i currently accept BTC on my site aswell as Paypal - i would like to accept BC, aswell as other coins... is there a one stop shop for all cryptos? im using Coinbase currently, and then send to Bitstamp, then to my bank .... is a bit of a chaw! Coming from the Dogecoin community, you guys should really be pushing for Moolah (Moolah.io) to integrate Blackcoin into their online payment solution. Instant conversion of crypto to fiat. Yeh - yesterday I made a comment warning people a dump was coming, which it has already, and the comment GOT DELETED and i got totally roasted by a bunch of experts even a guy claiming to be a 'scientist' who new better because he had published 16 papers lol
So don't expect accurate information here - 1 guy with charts saying BC is going up can post all day yet one comment warning of the dump - which would have saved a lot of noob $ - was removed
Basically when you dig into this coin, its value is belief - if you believe hard enough, it will be the next Bitcoin and everyone will be rich lol - just dont mention prices, market, competitors, or actually anything that isn't part of the belief story that is the only thing holding this together at this stage

But you also failed to mention the almost immediate rebound. BlackCoin is the only coin I know of besides Bitcoin that can have a 20k + sat sell off and rebound in less than 3 hours. You obviously forgot that part.... |
