1181  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The is always on gambling, never the individual. on: January 04, 2024, 08:57:30 PM
People's problems persists because they are not willing to blame themselves. Gambling never forces anybody to participate. These people gamble each day on their own will power and don't complain when the money is still on their bank roll. Once the whole money finishes they'll begin to blame it on gambling. We all know that gambling has some emotional connection to the brain, which may have facilitated the gambler to stake money with out control. But, those flaws is of the player's responsibility. As not all gambler face the same trouble. Op's response is excellent and gamblers need to stop derailing the advantages of gambling. Telling people gambling is the reason they went financially broke wouldn't uplift them from their current situation. Searching for a means out is the best move for the person. If he's addicted, getting out of it should be his main priority. Not just putting the blame on gambling. It's not just wrong, but delays the duration it'll take to solve the person's problems.
1182  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does the tension make you take risk that are sometimes worth it? on: January 04, 2024, 08:39:43 PM
I will not fully disagree with your opinion. Because sometimes it worth to take some risk. But we have to remind that or keep in mind that gambling is all about the luck. So the result can be both win and loss. And taking a decision from the pressure I think it is one kind of gambling based on emotions and with emotions I don't think is a proper way to play gambling. It can be more riskier for your fund.

All gambling is an act of risk taking actually, and for the problem of high or low risk that will be taken it all depends on the willingness of each gambler, sometimes there are also many of those who are not able to take responsibility for high risk but instead take / do it and usually they are people who are quasi-emotional. The realization that gambling is just an activity for profit will only exist in the mind of someone who understands what gambling really is along with some of the opportunities and possible risks that are there, on the other hand it is very clear as I said above that they pretend to be able to take high risks when all decisions are out of emotion due to the pressure of previous defeats, and I would call them gamblers who do not have the responsibility and correct understanding of gambling, it is very clear that we can conclude this from the approach they take.

Risks do appear at the cause of gambling, but the actions of the gambler depends on what led to the reason why he decided to take a risk. Knowing fully well that taking risks while gambling wouldn't be the best option, as his win may not be assured. I can remember going all in while playing board games, sometimes it's worth the risk, but losing is the worse scenerio of moving all in. Regardless of the losses, taking risks while gambling can as well be rewarding. Advising people to follow such strategies wouldn't be the right decision. So, I'd say that players need to understand the condition of whatever action they're to make while gambling. And also get ready to take full responsibility if the money lost is too huge. Those who gamble out of emotions, mostly behave like this, hoping to win big in the process and recover all they've lost in one bet. The few times it works, could lead the player to gamble more and spend lots of money in the process, which yields regrets.
1183  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you take time to read the terms and conditions of casinos before registering? on: January 02, 2024, 10:21:48 PM
Their terms and conditions are lengthy enough to read which make a user annoying and that's why most of people just  quickly agree with them, don't care what is written in those. But i think people should atleast read or should knowledge the some important thing about that casino like about KYC system, VPN is allowed or not and their policy while withdrawal fund. I use to read such thing. And then i check about blog and YouTube videos if they have any serious negative issue or not. I think such information should be checked before joining any Casino. If everything looks good then its good to go.
Usually the terms and conditions of gambling sites are written in incomprehensible language. Moreover, because there is so much written on various subjects, it naturally becomes boring to read. I think no gambler reads the conditions offered by the casino from the beginning to the end. But I don't think it's important for all. Because some conditions are almost same. If a gambler follows certain rules and then gambles then he will not have any major problem. But if a gambler is gambling by following the rules 100% then it is definitely better for him to do so. Gamblers may have less patience than others. Because when they bet, they only think about that bet and they don't have the mentality to think about anything else.

A gambler who has read to some length the rules of a casino, may not bother about reading that of another casino because it makes not much difference. Casino share almost similar terms and conditions, because different casinos use the same game providers. But to stay on the safe side, the gambler needs to be aware of the new rules that make a casino unique from the previous casino he's been using. Most people who complain about withdrawal issues in a casino may not have read about the terms that control such disputes in the casino. Glancing on the TOS is better than ticking agreed without reading at all. Money is involved and gamblers need to be cautious of the rules governing the place they spend their money. However, if the person is not comfortable reading all of the write-ups, they can search for the reviews of other gamblers on the casino. How it operates, the provably fair features, and the deposit and withdrawal limits.

These things are what matters in a casino for any gambler. Then KYC requirements for withdrawal. Other than that, the VPN and restricted regions should be taken into consideration. As the gambler may not be paid if his region is not eligible to use the casino. Or if VPN is prohibited. Some casinos may allow the gambler to use the platform, then once they win, they'll be denied payment. Bypassing this type of problem raises the need for a gambler to read a glimpse of the casino's terms and conditions. Because wherever we take the casino maybe to the law court for seizing our money, we'd still lose out. A gambler who boycotts a casino's rule would have no help from any gambling community if he lays a complaint. Doing the necessary things won't cost us much time, instead of paying for not reading the TOS by losing our hard-earned money, we should go through it and endeavor not to break the rules.
1184  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gamblers understood the game on: January 02, 2024, 09:58:04 PM
I really like the example in which one person asks how much money is needed to have $1 million in crypto in his account, and the second person answers that two million is enough.
I don’t know what kind of people can confidently enter the crypto world to double their capital, especially in gambling. This is a mystery to me. Such people are most likely not secure in their financial security.
And the fact that you don’t give specific advice and websites is, at least at first, good.

A gambler who enters a casino for profit is the most likely to fail, everything is known that a casino is not a charitable organization that the more money they give you Deposits they will make the Investor that account grow , that's what What they are Looking for is to win , and not make people lose, it is something normal that companies always have to do Things to Generate money in other ways, for example when you have things in the world like a casino that I said offers many options. to win with the bonuses, if there are any , but it is Known that the casinos do not launch Anything Without having first studied the fact that they are going to win more than they will lose , that is Something they have to see, that is why when a player settles in a casino He takes Everything into Account or makes him Win , taking into Account that if he loses more , then he gets angry.

A person who believes that he is going to make a lot of money in a Casino is most likely to lose all his wealth, because he is going Through the motions, already living with mental stress, and that makes him feel in the Middle of the game Because he loses , it's Simple , it's the Emotions that are that they play.

The OP had a nice suggestion of not being responsible for the platform his friend would gamble on. Though it's right, for the sake of not later being blamed, his friend could gamble in the wrong casino. It would be better if he made a list of good and quality casinos, and then let them choose. There would be nothing to bother about the people he attracted to crypto gambling having some problem gambling since they've been gambling for a long period. The only difference is that those people gambled with fiat. However, they keep on losing more than winning, because of the aim of winning big money through gambling. This has been the main reason why most gamblers face lots of losses in gambling. The casino has to earn from the gamblers and also play with their intelligence by rewarding some money in the process. Enabling or pushing the gambler to stake more money, hoping to win bigger. So, the brain gets caught up in the process, and enjoys the process and the player won't be able to stop until his money gets exhausted.

The pain only affects him emotionally and causes the gambler mental stress, as you said, Danadc. Enlightening gamblers on the bad effects of going for money as a primary aim in gambling should be the first approach for people we attract to use crypto casinos. So, they won't continue to lose more money in the process, of gambling in using crypto. Because if the gambler is not attended to, they will keep on repeating the same mistakes, which only pisses them off, but they claim all is fine. Since they'll be winning soon, the money now sounds like an investment to the gambler. And he wouldn't bother about it anymore. Losing now gets normal and the gambler neglects the fact he keeps running short on funds. Their addiction begins to creep in and the person would have to pay more in stress and anxiety for not staying attentive to the reactions he felt while losing money in his early stages of gambling. I'd suggest that Op also talk to his friends to minimize the losing rate, by managing their time and money when gambling.
1185  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you care about what people say about you gambling? on: January 02, 2024, 09:35:45 PM
What people would say or already said, doesn't count anymore in my life. Because in gambling I already thought about it before venturing into it, hence the validation of people wasn't necessary when I started participating in games, gave it a try, with nobody being there to advise me. So, if a person who is close to me begins to talk about the gambling habit, it's mainly their response or opinion and doesn't have enough weight to affect my feelings. People will talk, regardless. It's only important if we know or are not sure of why we gamble. But while in our right decisions, no need to bother, provided we gamble responsibly. It's also an opportunity to discuss further about gambling to the person. Then hear from him what he thinks of those that gamble. Not just giving a slight response back to him. It could make the person continue having his perspectives on gamblers being irresponsible.

Engaging him can change his thoughts, and he wouldn't say such things to some other gambler he's met. The only disadvantage of engaging such people is, that they could go ahead becoming gamblers, and a person like that wouldn't hesitate to blame the person who he may have thought talked him into gambling. However, no error in trying to change the way people see gamblers. The society has been viewing gamblers as time wasters and it only gets worse each day. Some people no longer mind their business, like the case of Op, I don't think the guy had any relevant reason for talking to Op in that manner. Not that he had a follow-up discussion for Op, which shows that the person doesn't have a concrete reason why he thinks gamblers are not doing themselves a favor for staking money on games. All they could think of was their previous beliefs of how people talked about gambling in most gatherings, without giving their reasons for unveiling some ill thoughts about gamblers.
1186  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling and health concern on: January 02, 2024, 09:07:46 PM
What difference will it make if you keep people by your side always 'incase'? If you have any health challenge,  especially one where your mental health is at stake, avoiding anything at all that will trigger it, yea even gambling". You do not need that mental stress at all.

If you are someone that cannot handle anxiety, you panic greatly after every gambling rounds, then you need to have a rethink about getting involved in gambling. It is only foolishness if you experience anxiety attacks yet keep assuring yourself you'll be fine, you are causing more damage to yourself and with time it will generate into something more severe.

Everyone must not gamble, same way everyone cannot practice a particular kind of profession.  We all know our strength and weaknesses, avoid what you cannot handle for the sake of your health.  This is not cowardice, it is a precautionary measure.
It’s common for a player to hope for the best, we all want to hope for that, don’t we? But in reality this does not happen and it turns out that we are deceiving ourselves by entering the game again and again. Of course, there are many who would rather not enter the game, because it will shake their nerves so much that they won’t want to do anything else in life, their nerves will be destroyed or permanent depression will arise. These are very serious problems and many people think that this will happen to anyone, but only to him. I want to say that you should always feel how much the game affects your sleep and wallet. If there is nothing from this, then it is obvious that you can’t play anymore.

We need to know ourselves before gambling. Discovering for the first time that gambling could trigger his hypertension, shows the person may not have been checking his reaction to sudden situations. Winning big, for instance, could lead to shock, to some gamblers, because they never thought about winning such an amount that day, or it could be something they have been imagining to have in a distant time. The person in Op's story, his friend, may have had a similar encounter in the past, even before gambling. But, he didn't look into it or thought gambling could make him feel that way again. Having people around him, in such a condition can help in fastening treatment if he experiences such a sudden occurrence in his life again. Gamblers do feel anxiety, but wouldn't stop because they're looking to gain more money. Anxiety has led many to problem gambling and caused damage to their friendship with family.

These experiences could compound to the extent the gambler now spends money on gambling without feeling any pain or remorse after losing. Hence those who know that gambling could cause them pain, anxiety, or hypertension don't need to gamble again. If he's won the jackpot, taking a break is crucial for his health. No need to practice the same gambling which can lead him to have such a problem again. If he breaks down, or while he was in the hospital, he wasn't able to gamble. That's what we need to consider when going contrary to what our health practitioner told us regarding our health. The doctor who treated Op's friend is expected to warn him to give gambling a huge gab and enjoy his winnings. I think on his end, he wants to wager all the money he's won, before realizing he's making a mistake. Would he be able to get hold of himself if he wins big, eventually, again? it's the question to ask himself, before trying to gamble again.
1187  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Success or Fail? - Talking about Gambling as a major income on: January 02, 2024, 08:45:57 PM
Maybe there are also people who depend on gambling as their main income and usually this is for people who have large capital and each time they bet the amount is not small.

Even though there are rich people with large capital, it would not be good to make gambling their main source of income. I'm sure that gambling in this way will only make the gambler depressed and will only focus on pursuing victory. No matter how big the capital is, it will run out if the gambler does not carry out good control management.
make gambling fun. so when you win or lose. You will not be depressed because you lost your money. however, gambling is a matter of luck. Of course, no one would depend their life on luck.
There's no such thing on this world to have that unlimited fund, this is why i do highly believe that even if you are a rich person, you arent that exempted when it comes to bankruptcy due to too much gambling on which we know on how fast or swift gambling results could be on which outcomes could really be that just a blink of an eye on which means that no matter how big your money is
or having that income source. It would really be just that easy to deplete out the money you do have with gambling. Its not an income source but rather it is really just that made for
entertainment. It is really just people do go into the opposite side of things.

Gambling as a career has multiple factors behind it, and not everyone would be able to sustain the requirements needed to be successful in such a career. Mainly the depression of thinking, playing, and repeating gambling all the time, could set in, and the person wouldn't enjoy his lifestyle anymore. Nobody is advised to follow such a route, but some people already do that in our gambling world. The issue with that is, some people do it knowingly while others don't know they're now gambling as if it's their career. Those who choose to gamble as a career will only pass through hard times with loneliness and probably depression from not associating with people due to the hard work needed to stay relevant in gambling. The others who only spend a long time each day on gambling, without being calculative or conscious of their gambling habit, are only there to waste money, in the name of gambling.

This type of gamblers who gamble unknowingly, will lose all their money, regardless of the amount of money they've got or are ready to spend in gambling. But the gamblers who are conscious of their habit, and willingly choose to gamble as a career, after years of understanding how gambling works, observing the house edge of the casino, wouldn't lose out their money. It'll be like the money is unlimited because the player has done his math and understood the amount of money that will be able to take him through the journey, and he'd be winning through the process. The luck also is required, but the calculation is quite very important, at least to feel in control and not lash out when losing. Playing by what the house edge has for the gambler, gives the gambler a better thought and relaxes his mind, whenever he loses money. Such gamblers would be able to control their funds and limit how long they'll gamble each day, then add up with the amount of money they win in the process. It's achievable to be a full-time gambler, but it's boring and depressing.
1188  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: With gambling, it's probably easier to quit cold turkey on: January 02, 2024, 08:22:44 PM
Not possible for a gambling addict to quit slowly. If gambling is a problem, the best is to just quit. After he quits, he can start to gamble again after a year. If he sees that he is still gambling in a way he waste money on it, he can quite again. This is how I stopped my gambling addiction.

But if the gambler do not quit and not able to quit, he needs something like rehabilitation program or medical consultant.
You won't say it is not possible because humans act and react to issues differently. It might not work for you but it might be the best solution for someone else. I have seen drug addicts who are permitted to take lesser addictive drugs to help them gradually quit drugs. Some therapists might recommend marijuana for a heroine or cocaine addict. Gradually it might be reduced to cigarettes until the person fully gains control over his life. So I believe gamblers can quit gradually. Maybe one can gradually reduce the amount and time he spends on casinos and this could help to curb excessive gambling.

Yes anybody willing to have a cold turkey can do that, especially in gambling. But it's not an easy process, the person wouldn't stop immediately. Op's term easier, in my response, is wrong. Because gambling has to do with mental health, and the addict wouldn't have enough control over himself to even realize his condition. Unless he's not deeply into the addiction or in a minimal level of gambling addiction, the person still needs the help of a therapist to get cured of his problem gambling. The procedures you mention above for a drug addict could be used to help a gambling addict, but due to the psychological effects it has on the gambler, the therapist also needs to establish a fresh relationship with the gambler. Because switching addiction is quite very hard for a gambling addict, the therapist needs not to give out straight advice to the gambler. Instead, it's preferable to let the gambler discuss how he feels being a gambling addict. And the pains he's having inside, as an addict.

It's known that the gambler may have gone through difficulties and loved ones going nuts on their new attitudes. Those ill experiences that make the addict feel nobody would be able to help him except himself, need to be shared with the therapist, to help facilitate therapy sessions between the both; therapist and the addicted gambler. Trying to tell a gambling addict what or not to do, doesn't seem effective, because he feels he's actually on the right track and everyone else's responses don't matter to him. So, having close conversations can help him think about the view of the therapist and begin to have a change. It's like a chronic disease, gambling addiction requires lots of time for the person to recover completely, that's why many users in their response said it's not easier to have a cold turkey in gambling addiction. Therapists have to make sure the player doesn't resist help, by not being bossy or making the process more difficult for the gambler. All these take lots of time, and the gamblers need to comply by attending therapy classes.
1189  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can loneliness make one addicted to gambling on: January 02, 2024, 08:02:47 PM
Loneliness can make people to become addicted to anything that will distract their minds from the cause of their being lonely, there's a whole lot of addictions, alcohol and smoking, pornography, drug, womanizing and a whole lot including gambling. They'll initially engage in this acts as a temporary measure to get over their lose, and as time goes on they'll unintentionally become fully involved and eventually addiction will kick in, and it'll be difficult for them to leave it. Even if they finally overcome the addiction it's likely that they'll find another recreation to engage in to overcome the void that the addiction that they left will cause, in the end it'll be going into another addiction to get over an addiction. So it's best for anyone that is going through loneliness to be strong and disciplined, even if they most engage in gambling or any other activities to get over the pains of loneliness, they most tell themselves that it is temporary and bounce back as soon as possible.
Most times, the best remedy for loneliness is talking to someone,  someone who can help you break out of it. At least if the cause of the loneliness is known,  help can come.  Trying to help yourself by getting involve in a particular activity most times leads to addiction.
A person may have different preferences. It is not just that he becomes addicted to gambling if he is alone. Because not everyone has the same addiction. I think they have a habit of doing that when they are alone. Accordingly a gambler may choose gambling to spend his idle time. But it is not the case that he will become a gambling addict if he is alone. Gamblers must take steps on their own to get rid of any addiction. If alone he indulges in all those addictive activities then he must be with others. Self-awareness should be kept by oneself otherwise it would be difficult to get rid of addiction.

Loneliness is eating deep into most people's lives psychologically, and they need to hang out with friends or neighbors in their environment. However, not everyone possesses the social skills needed to associate with people close to them. Emotional troubles also lead to loneliness, when people think nobody else is there for them. Hence for a gambler or a person who is lonely and uses gambling to keep himself busy, he needs to maintain the same control not to get addicted. Not only do lonely people get addicted, but those with roommates and friends around them can be addicted to gambling. The main disadvantage of loneliness is that it could lead a nongambler to begin playing games, and he wouldn't have the necessary information needed before joining the gambling niche. In such a case, the player can get addicted, as he's somehow not emotionally stable, and maybe experienced a failed relationship, so gambling cautiously would be difficult for him.

Because one part of his brain that's meant to be associating with loved ones or friends, is not being utilized often, the person wouldn't have the control anymore to stop gambling. As he wouldn't know what else to do if he stopped gambling. Addiction can be gotten due to loneliness, yes, but the gambler needs to take the blame for not going out to look around and have fun with humans. However, society is getting lonely each day, everyone focusing on social media, which has made our environment less fun, and we hardly see people who would discuss at length with us without peeping through their phones. And most people with some kind of addiction, said they don't want to disturb anybody. That means they would think visiting a friend could be inconveniencing the person, hence they prefer staying all alone indoors, spending time on their addiction; gambling, movies, etc. Idleness is not good for the brain, sometimes reading could help, but hanging out solves most problems of addiction or even visiting people in another city. Life is too short to be made boring.
1190  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling for fun, is it a lie that we tell ourselves? on: January 02, 2024, 07:41:47 PM
I know for sure that if we take periodic account of how many times that we gamble, maybe weekly, monthly or yearly, we'll find out that the loses are far greater than the winnings, so I sometimes wonder how we can be indulging in something that we lose far more than we gain, in the name of having fun. I know that it's human nature to want to conquer, defeat, control and be the leader, yet we go into gambling knowing that the system doesn't give us a fair advantage of achieving these aims, yet we're happy to go back and likely be defeated again.

Perhaps deep down in our conscience, somewhere that we don't like to listen to, it still tells us the truth that the reason why we're going to gamble is to hopefully win money, not really to have fun.

I know that it's said that you should gamble the amount that you can afford to loose, but will you call it a true fun when you know that there's a higher probability of losing your bet?

Well, actually I really understand what you said in this thread. however, it seems there is a different meaning and essence between me and you. first of all, I want to say first, what I said does not mean I am comparing. so, please understand. the title of your thread, is really very interesting to me. I will quote him, "Gambling for fun, is it a lie that we tell ourselves?". there is a big question that you seem to be struggling with, especially regarding gambling and the idea of having fun. at this point, many people actually have the same questions as you think. however, both you, me, we, have different definitions regarding what gambling is. first, what does pleasure mean to you? so, what does this have to do with the gambling you do? you can answer it, but keep your answer to yourself. for me, pleasure has a broad meaning depending on how I respond to it and condition it to the situation and conditions. now, what is gambling to you? for me, gambling is expensive entertainment and contains a lot of risk. then, what allows us to have fun and get pleasure. yeah, the answer depends on each individual.

So you see, the idea of having fun doesn't have to be what you mean in the title of this thread and neither does what you say in this post. before we gamble, either you or I, must first spend capital as a medium for playing and betting. at this point, you are willing and aware to do it. the question is, are you thinking about something bad instead of having fun? Of course it's not like that. besides, it doesn't mean that with the idea of having fun we don't expect to win. as you said, even if you say it seems like we are lying to ourselves and this is where the difference lies. pleasure doesn't have to be winning, even in situations where you lose, you can learn lessons in the form of pleasure. for example, I bet on Arsenal "football" a team that is my favorite. then, the fact is that Arsenal lost the match.  meaning, I also lost. however, because Arsenal played the game very well, neatly and impressively, I enjoyed it even though they lost. even though I lost, psychologically I got the game I wanted and the results from the bets I made. and this, is a form of pleasure. so each gambler can define his own pleasure, and it depends on how he reacts to it. so, we don't need to lie to ourselves. regarding winning or losing, isn't that part of the risk of gambling? well, enjoy it according to your own version.

Personal perceptions matter in the gambling niche. It depends on the way we envisioned gambling before venturing into it, but it's rare to find a new gambler who didn't have at the back of his mind to win money while gambling. It was recently I read in a book that gambling is meant to be for fun. Just the same way we pay to play in a Park, gambling can give us the same pleasure. Before, then gambling was a way of making money, in my perspective. Lots of people are still on that same level of seeing gambling as a means of making money, and when they don't win, it gets them sad and pushes the player to try again immediately. Those who know or use gambling as a form of gaining fun, wouldn't figure out that other people still think of making money in gambling. Op could be among the gamblers who wouldn't accept gambling as a fun game. Because he's losing money while gambling.

However, truthfully, losing money is not always fun, especially when we lose lots of it. Hence gamblers who wish to make fun through gambling have one common peculiar characteristic, staking what they'll be able to lose and not bother about it. Unlike those seeking money, greed leads them to stake lots of money, and they end up being sad in the process of losing all of their money. So, as you said, it's for the gambler to choose sides, whether fun or sad after losing money. However, the first mentioned is better for our mental health. No need to be sad over some things we can't control. It's also a good reason gamblers shouldn't chase money, rather gamblers should be learning and taking pleasure from the outcomes of their decisions. Prioritizing money alone, as a factor of joy in gambling, can only yield a small amount of happiness in the life of the gambler. Because the losses keep coming more than the win. If Op can spend the amount he's able to lose without feeling sad, gambling wouldn't be a hassle to him.
1191  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you blame someone for your gambling losses? on: January 02, 2024, 07:15:03 PM
<snip>
You must be very aware of things When they are about the game , we , above all , are thinking people , who know that there is Only good and bad , we must Know that a person who is of legal Age is Responsible , Assumes his risks and is able to take Responsibility and Assume whatever type of act they do because that is what it means to be an Adult , we can only continue doing things that we are not and then blame Someone else for the fact that we can see Certain Behaviors in the wings in local casinos , and if we decide to be this way or to Improve some type of Game , we can do it and if it doesn't work, we cannot blame that person for wanting to have done it, we are Responsible for our actions, the fact that someone has shown us the casino and that We have become addicted , it is not that people's fault, it is our fault for having Enough self-control , that is something we must always focus on to get things done.

When we are in a physical casino, it is easier for us to do Certain things , Sometimes we let ourselves be carried away by Emotions , sometimes by Impulses , which can make us lose , even lose more than win, sometimes there are people who make themselves known and cannot give gaming Advice to do something in particular and not let ourselves win, which happens many times , and when we are in important games, we can receive advice from others and if that Advice leads us to lose, the fault is not the person who told us. But of ourselves for having accepted such advice and that is what should be evident here and Everywhere , we must be Responsible in everything, from the first moment we enter until we leave the caisno, we are responsible for spending each dollar that we have available there, in each game session we must learn and accept our mistakes and pay our Consequences , when a bad map comes , certain things must be Applied to get out of it and not lose anymore , in my case it is not playing anymore.

Recently giving out advice to gamblers in the casino only gets difficult because it may not work in favor of the gambler. Hence it's better not to bother ourselves with some other person's actions. They must take the part that best suits them, to enable the player to stay responsible for any results following his predictions. Things only get very abstract, as gamblers when we lose out on some other person's advice. I don't see the reason why people can't gamble on their own. Some believe that the predictions from experts are the best. Not knowing that it's no different from what they've got. The gambler's prediction could be better than the expert's own. Somehow I'd say the gambler indeed lost his self-control, which could get abnormal in the process of gambling. The gambler now gets easily carried away and abides by any advice flying on the air. In the physical casino, most times the experts or professionals try to help other gamblers, especially in slots.

But, it's not a must and the few who follow the instruction of the professional are doing it on their own will. This means that he's not meant to get sad over the results he'd get from the machine. Having people around us while gambling could be fun, especially the experts, but we are expected to be conscious of our money, as it may not matter who made the prediction. What is of most importance is, not losing more than we have arranged for, which could be bad on the gambler's end. The regrets or blame as I said earlier, comes as a result of losing too much money, and the gambler is now sad about his mistakes. Instead of accepting his loss, he then looks for someone else who was with him in the casino, to blame. They forget that with or without the advice, the gambler will lose more than he'd win for the day. So, the gambler shouldn't blame anybody not even himself. There is more to learn from the money lost while gambling.
1192  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do Owners of betting companies bet? on: January 01, 2024, 10:11:57 AM
well, this is what most gamblers out there are afraid of when betting at the poker table but all the gamblers dont know that one of the gamblers is the casino owner and this makes a bad thought if other gamblers find out while the gambling owner always wins even though not cheating, but still the minds of gamblers will think that the casino owner is cheating.

therefore, it is very rare for me to see gambling owners gambling in their own casinos because on the one hand, casino owners maintain the reputation of their casinos and avoid the danger of crimes that could threaten them because gambling owners have a lot of money. on the one hand, sometimes gambling addicts can go crazy and commit crimes against casino owners.
so it would actually be better if the casino owner did not participate in betting in his own casino rather than his reputation being damaged and becoming a very bad conflict in the long run.
They really can do that but I don't think that casino owners will ever cheat their customers/players even more because they're already making money out of them anyway. And in poker, the people that knows the owner will definitely be not playing with them on the table because as you've said they might've the advantage but I just like to think that casino owners aren't like that and that they don't like the idea of taking advantage of other players when they're already making money. Also, it's a bit weird that they have the time to waste gambling or even betting at their own places.
One of the advantages a casino owners have is that they already knows the odds that played all the time, already they have specialists that deals on the odds and the odds specialists are not allowed to play because they know what odds that played and the one that get lost.
I will like to bet with a casino owner because as he already knows the odds which means anyone he plays will come and as he's playing I will also bet on that same odds too.
Some times the casino owner game might cut but there is always a possibility that his winning will be higher than his losing.

Gambling for a casino boss in his casino wouldn't be fun anymore since he's got the information about how the machine is being coded. Hence he's not doing himself any favor as a gambler to gamble in his casino. He's wasting the time and fun he's meant to achieve through gambling. I'd prefer that a casino owner visits other rich men who have some gambling cliques and participate in games with them, which is mainly the way it should be for the casino boss. Imagine winning and the money he won is his, no addition no subtraction. That wouldn't be fun for anybody. Consider being in his shoes, using your product should be considered no profits. What these men look for, is profitable means of maximizing the success of the casino, not just gambling. If he spent his time gambling he wouldn't be able to understand how the house is operating. However, they've got employees to take care of all that, but the presence of the casino boss changes lots of things from happening.

I've not spent time with one, but have watched them in movies, they are mainly in their office settling some disputes. Lots of disputes come out in casinos, especially offline casinos. Hence the owner would have lots of underlying problems he'll need to resolve to save the future of his business. He wouldn't have such a luxury of gambling. If he's into gambling or addicted to gambling, such a person wouldn't be able to make a competent casino boss. The business could be in trouble, but the boss wouldn't show concern about the dispute. Some of the casinos that run out of money or don't have enough money to pay their customers may have been owned by an incompetent owner, who may have squandered his time on other addictions, which takes up his money which would have been used in running the casino business. In a nutshell, a casino owner gambles, yes, but not like we would think that he does. His seat as the CEO of a casino is so hot that he can't sit down
1193  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you blame someone for your gambling losses? on: January 01, 2024, 09:47:31 AM
That already enters the field of abuse, but the fact of following advice that others give us while we play and lose is not the fault of others, we have to be mature with our decisions and do not blame anyone for our decisions, that is something that We have to accept and not blame others, it is our responsibility above all, it is something that we have to do with all possible maturity.

Sometimes there are also gamblers who really think like children so they can't act maturely when someone gives advice on betting. Still, we are the ones who are responsible for the decision to bet with bets that we trust, if we trust someone for the bets that we make, we should it is our own responsibility, not someone else's fault.

Everyone has the right to give advice, we also have the right to determine every bet we place, so when you choose to follow other people's advice, you should not vent your anger and emotions at other people because it is not their fault but our own fault for not being too confident. by our own choice. I think there is a mistake in this way of thinking, we should not scold anyone because of our own mistakes, especially if we have to bring that emotion and anger into our household, where our family, who don't know anything but are affected by our anger, blame them for something they don't know. they do.

Gamblers differ and it's a matter of orientation. Not every gambler has similar ideas to anyone else. We all had this beginning winning syndrome. For instance, when I first saw a friend cash in from his gambling app, my idea of gambling mainly was to make money and I thought of multiple means of maximizing my wins. Some other people who don't read about the effects of gambling on the brain and how it could be detrimental to the life of the gambler may as well follow the advice of other players who claim to be experts or have better techniques that guarantee winning. Some of these challenges have led some gamblers to lose lots of money in gambling without holding anybody accountable for their mistakes. Hence they'll fall back in regret to blame the people who had given them a fair share of gambling prediction that led to their anxiety. For gamblers who don't take responsibility for their actions, it only gets harder to escape gambling addiction.

The few complaints I've read in this forum about people who blame others for pushing them to gamble show that addicts always blame others for their mistakes. As if, when left alone to make a decision, they wouldn't make the worst decision of all time. Those who scold people, who don't have business relating to gambling, for being the cause of their problem are undergoing a severe level of gambling addiction, which when not attended to would make addiction so difficult for the person to get healed. Problems like what Op shared are not conducive for anybody to behave in that way, all because of gambling. The person wasn't present or didn't contribute to the financial troubles of the boy and his mother. These things are so abnormal that, we can't fold our hands and watch people make silly mistakes due to gambling. Addicts forget that accepting responsibility for the problem they're into would help them heal faster, than blaming others. That means sooner, they'll go back to gambling believing that all the damages it cost them in the past wasn't their fault.
1194  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Who should quit, and why? on: January 01, 2024, 09:16:42 AM
In a family where the husband gambles alongside the wife, there is no doubt that people may think of their children as future gamblers. Such perspectives aren't wrong, neither is it a threat to the future life of the children. The most crucial duty is the act of management; kids, family, money, food, bills, etc. These few utilities shouldn't compound to become a problem in any family. Both gamblers must be able to instruct their children on what to do at a specific time and monitor their internet access. Recommending a keylogger installed on the devices or gadgets of the kids would be important. So that the parent would be able to observe any single search the child is inputting on his system. Children are very skillful and fast at adapting to new technologies, hence parents must act as adults too, by staying extra hours in researching for means to stay ahead of their children. The kids we own are our responsibility, they should be grown in a way that pleases us, and if one is found misbehaving, the parents must caution the child to stop. Or be punished. What kind of punishment is effective in changing a change?

In previous years, our parents were used to seizing our gadgets or maybe restricting us from going to participating in games we love like football, basketball, etc. Those moves weren't effective, in my response, because at some point they weren't able to keep up with the pace and got tired, hence the child continued with his bad habit. Punishing a child could be done in different ways. When I want to change a child, I don't buy them what  I bought for others as a punishment. That child would have a rethink or sometimes cry over it. Such things leave a mark on the child that lets him remember that whenever s/he misbehaves his parents won't buy him gifts when they buy for his siblings. Then that child would begin to shape his ways, to be eligible for the next gift. I've used this method to get most children close to me, interested in mathematics and they hardly fail on doing their maths assignments. Parents can as well use this to caution a child that feels the urge to gamble as a minor.
Parents must admit that their children can use their devices better than their parents, so parents must be wise about their use. Parents need to give their children an understanding of what they can and cannot do with their devices so that their children will not try to do something that could put them at risk. There are many ways that every parent can do this, but this requires learning from parents to know what needs to be done. Children are the responsibility of parents. It cannot be denied, so no matter how busy parents are, they must still be able to find time to accompany their children and not leave them alone to use their devices. Nowadays, many children have fallen into things that are not right, so parents need hard work so that their children can get back on the right track. For this reason, if parents have provided guidance and supervision since their children were at an early age, parents will have no difficulty in providing an understanding of something so that their children will understand more quickly.

Confiscating children's devices because they don't want to comply with their parents' wishes is not a solution. These children want to be understood by their parents, so they ask for attention from their parents so they can use their devices when they are free. Maybe parents can make a schedule for when their children are allowed to use their devices, and after that, their children have to put down their devices and do other activities so that they don't get addicted to using them. Nowadays, children are more busy with their devices than interacting socially with other people, especially their parents and siblings. And if they will need clarification if they don't get an internet connection, they will do many things to get an internet connection. Parents need to worry about this because if left unchecked, their children can fall into negative habits that can cause problems for them and their parents.

The new generation of computer human wares are so connected to the computer more than the hardware are connected to the computer Grin Kids are growing up faster and operates gadgets better than the grown ups or adults. Sometimes I wonder how they do it or learn how to operate phones and laptops, without a mentor. It's been a thing of surprise for the older generation, but we all need to regulate and moderate how the children are to use their gadgets not to fall into the hands of bad actor or get addicted to screen. Which affects the brain similarly like the gambling addiction, and if a child is not moderated while growing up, if they ever get to learn about gambling, it'll be easier to be addicted in the process, because they are, already, addicted to screen. Many parents off the general wifi for the homes at a specific time to make sure the children don't access the internet.

But, due too offline games, the child would spend more time on the phone, playing games or move ahead to use the TV, these things were regulated during our days, when to watch the Television. Therefore, it's good to take the phone from them for a while and give them access someother times, so that they have enough time to read their books. Without any distraction. However, some kids would want to research using their Ipad, but I don't see it as a better alternative for young people to use those devices for assignment, because they may not resist a single notification from their browser or the game app they enjoy playing. The parents supervision on issues like that are required to help a better communication between parents and their children. As these days the phone are now taking over the roles of the parents in the society. Kids no longer bother asking their parents some questions bothering them. Most times I don't blame the kids, as few parents would yell back to the child, " Google It"

1195  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is your New Year's resolution? on: January 01, 2024, 08:50:03 AM
The new year is here and we all are happy to say that gambling was quite fun in the previous year. Disputes came and were settled in the forum and the gambling section has been quite busy for both new and existing members. Hence this year would be something bigger than the previous year, our winning and jackpots would get to us as planned. What the new year resolution would be is mainly focused on self-control and understanding my actions in the gambling journey. Not to mismanage my options and also to stay on the winning aspect of the game. At least learning each day from the mistakes gambling could offer, losses and wins would matter so much in the new year, as a catalyst to help easy learning. As a gambler no need to chase losses or have in mind to earn more money by just staking games in gambling. Participating in some ways to help newbies not to get addicted is among the ways I could be of help to the gambling community. Since the newbies are coming in each day, the new year would get more gamblers who would want to earn huge amounts in gambling.

The year would be a time I'd find time in any channel possible to discuss responsible gambling and how to escape gambling addiction. The right gambling strategies and the importance of gambling would be my major topic across the internet to help get some awareness that gambling is not just a bad actor in society. People can easily learn through it, and the newbies are expected not to think of the bad side of gambling alone. We all need to follow this route this new year, to save lots of gamblers from getting addicted. Instead, they can learn the process, self-control, money management, risk management, and critical thinking, in gambling. And apply them in the field they find themselves, be it the business world or the cooperate world. The skills are needed and facilitate career success for the gambler. Hence he'd be attentive to his gambling actions and offer better perspectives to people on how gambling works.
1196  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is the perception of people about gamblers in your neighborhood? on: January 01, 2024, 08:30:01 AM
I don't know if this is only happening in my area or is a general trend, hence the reason I created this post. Let's know what people think about gamblers and how well the gambling business is faring in your area.

The gambling business is flourishing in our country because it is easy to get a license our government is encouraging it as long as the gambling operators are compliant so we have horse racing, offline cockfighting, and other forms of gambling and our government is also promoting betting on Lottery because they are the one running it.
And the people's perception of a gambler, as long as you are good and managing how you gamble and you don't look poor because of gambling, people will just ignore that you are a gambler, in a third-world country your social status is very important.
If you're poor and you're playing in online or offline casinos people think you are miserable, and if you're rich and you're betting on any of both these platforms people think you are lucky and you're winning.

That means people don't generalize anymore about gamblers and their behavior. They are beginning to be educated on the differences between some gamblers, as some can't handle money while gambling. While others are organized and still controlling their gambling actions. It's mainly a thing of options and people need to figure out certain actions in a gambler's life. Society has gone a long way and the views of some things are no longer as it was in the past. Because of the availability of technology research has been made very simple. The social status of people is a determinant of what a person does with their life. As you said, it's not just society that would have a bad response to a person who doesn't take care of himself due to gambling, the gambling community doesn't advise it either. If a person can care for themselves while gambling the people around him would have nothing to say regarding such a person.

Sometimes only people who know about the person's gambling habit can add some responses about the person in terms of gambling. It's not easy to identify a gambler in today's world, where gadgets are being used for gambling. Unlike in the past when gamblers used to have a lottery point for game booking. It was simpler for the neighborhood to add their contribution to the person's inability to control his actions. These days there are multiple factors people around us can wonder about when we behave strangely or run out of funding, most times gambling is the last on the list. I'd say that the perspective of people about gambling has changed so fast that, gamblers are no longer the subject of discussion. I hardly have heard of conversations of people on gamblers, it's mainly raised if the gambler has won or lost a significant amount that's too big to change his financial status. And such discussion doesn't stay for long, till it quenches like fire.
1197  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can Gambling affect your relationship? on: January 01, 2024, 08:00:25 AM
Anyone who has been in a relationship would understand that lying can be crucial in saving the relationship status from becoming tiring. Because sometimes telling the truth may end the relationship prematurely. But the truth is very good, as we don't know how good it could be to the next person's ear. As you said, one lie leads to another, which wouldn't be nice for the spouses. And one day the truth would be revealed thereby putting everything to an end. Hence, the gambler must stay truthful, if he chooses not to gamble when the wife is at home. In many occurrences, not all spouses would get sad at the truth about the gambler's habit. Provided that he's not toxic and maintains a responsible lifestyle, pays bills, takes care of the children, and cares for the spouse. Only a few people who don't like gambling would complain about the man's habit.

Those type of people has no good experience with gamblers and have seen lots of addicted gamblers misbehave. Hence, they'll think their gambling husband will one day act like an addicted person. In a family like that, it's supper smart that the man says the truth even before marrying the woman. Because asking questions matters in every relationship. Whatever habit we have, asking questions to know the reaction of the person towards people with such attitude matters a lot. It's a lifelong union and the better we handle it, the more productive we'll get. One must be careful in matters like marriage not to fail in the process. As it'll demoralize both spouse's life and their productivity could be affected too, depending on how strong emotionally they are. Instead of having an emotional problem the gambler needs to open up before the marriage, to know whether to continue the marriage or not. Depending on the other person's reaction.
That's because there are no good outcomes if someone lies, even if it's not for the relationship with their partner but someone else they don't know. They will not be able to understand that another lie will cover one lie, and it will be like that if they do not realize their mistakes and start telling the truth. Their relationship with their partner will also not be harmonious, and small fights between them can become big time. Everything is triggered by lies that have often been told, and if this is known to their children, they may also follow what their parents do because these children are perfect imitators. And yes, when the truth is revealed, they can't do anything, but they don't realize that it has broken their partner's heart and cannot be repaired, and the only way is for them to separate rather than there be another lie that they will do again. His partner does not want to be lied to again and would prefer to live apart from him.

In a family, honesty is very important because, after all they go through daily with their partner, they cannot hide any lies, even small lies. If the partner is very observant, they will know if something is abnormal and ask about it. If we are lying, they will also know right away. It's difficult to lie, so instead of lying, it's better to say it honestly and ask your partner for their opinion or help on how best to do it. This will create a more meaningful discussion between them so that the problems they face can be resolved well, and there is no need for lies between them because the gambler wants to tell the truth. The partner will appreciate it, and they will help the gambler to solve the problem. This is about how the gambler is willing, to tell the truth about what they have been through and how they are willing to ask their partner for help if they need help solving the problem.

Indeed such things as family problem affects the emotional intelligence of the kids, growing up. A home where both parents are not in harmony would raise kids who don't value love and kindness. It's crucial to help the growth of the younger generation by complying with the terms of our partners to maintain a happy home. Being in constant discussion with one another and asking questions helps a long way. We all need help in some part where perfection can't be assured. It's the duty of the next person not to condemn because it won't solve a single thing or problem. Marriage is more like a daily therapy session if one party is not comfortable with a gambler's habit. S/he is not in the right position to get sad, bossy, or argue over who stops or not. The gambler may not be happy and would end up becoming compulsive in the process, or get sad over his partner's behavior towards him and look for something else to do, or avoid discussion because he'd think the person will still circle back to gambling.

The right option as usual is engaging in a contribution that yields a peaceful solution. Adding meaningful responses can make the gambler rethink. Whether he's a responsible player or not, some options can make him think of his children and how gambling could be unpredictable, his actions may swing in a direction he won't control, thereby destroying the peace in his family. So, for the sake of the kids, one should do things that will make his spouse sad. And we can't continue to blame each other in a family and expect a good result. One person needs to accept that he's wrong and look for a means to amend his actions. Then given time he can chime into the life of the spouse that he doesn't like and share his contribution on how it could be solved. That's why both parents have to sleep in the same room, to settle their disputes in the absence of the kids. Because some gamblers who don't quit or lie about it, always have in mind that since their wife have an attitude that they don't like, they can continue gambling and their wife have no right to find out about their habit.
1198  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you believe in gambling experts predictions? on: January 01, 2024, 07:27:12 AM
Honestly I was unable to believe this casino prediction expert especially on one thought that if the expert is
actually assured of the predicted game then he shouldn't had demanded for a percentage if the game is won.
There still sounds a probability in there but only those who are desperate about games assurance are liable t be adamant and ignorant to figure what the speech is represented.
Else I expects him to bet the game by himself and make the cashouts all by himself alone without the request of commission (percentage) at when the game is won.

The expert as he claims, has no price to pay in the process, then it's not worth the try. Because he's on the win-win stage of the game. If the gamblers win he's got a share and if they lose no rule is against him. It would have been a better deal if he had to pay the gamblers if his prediction wasn't right. How do you all think someone is an expert, without any proven track record? He just walks up to some grown gamblers to tell them about his gambling capabilities. Those are not super excellent ideas to buy. Assuming the game played as expected and your friends won, he would have taken charge or control of your future games. As you people would need his assistance in-game prediction. Then if he fails the next time, your friends may not accept that he's not a pro, it could sound like a mistake to them, thereby giving him a second chance, until they get used to him for predicting games.

These are strategies used by self-acclaimed gambling experts to gain some loyal gamblers who would depend on them for game prediction. In the long run, he'd be making some funds out of their win. More like he's playing safe while the people he is convinced are taking the risk. They play using his prediction, with their own money and he has a share if his predictions are successful. It could be he has no money to gamble and still wants to participate using other people as a means of trying his luck. Some naive people would follow his prediction, still, if a loss occurs. I don't trust the gambler's choice in my game, it's about a game and how it occurs to my instinct. Only the prediction I have in mind to stake is what would take the money on the bankroll. Whatever any other person is saying is left for them to discuss with me and go, not engaging in any agreement whatsoever with the gambler. Because he has no authority over the results of the game, especially soccer. He's a gambler like myself, nobody knows who's going to be right or wrong.
1199  Economy / Gambling / Re: What do you want to see in casino reviews? on: January 01, 2024, 06:54:23 AM
I hardly have read casino reviews; I don't use any unknown casinos TBH. Bitcointalk always remains the best source of information for me when picking up a casino. Nevertheless, I found gamblingbro.com as the best casino review as they want to give a better insight and real experience to their audience. Take an hour or two to check them out. Since they don't use any affiliate links (I guess), they are unlikely to be biased while writing a review for any casino.
I just had a look at your platform and read one review. TBH, it seems you are just another casino review platform with nothing different or unique information. That's where GamblingBro has some creativity and advantages over other casino review platforms.
This forum is indeed the best place for you to seek off with those informations that we are really that tending to seek off on which it would really be just that be worth because we do see that comments and suggestions or reactions of people out of this forum are really that real and not something biased but of course you should see on a specific user whether he could be trusted or not but in overall when community feedbacks do really give out on the same sentiment then it would be that safe to presume or assuming out that the information is really that legit. This is why im not really that a fan of reading up review sites.
If ever there would really be those review sites then the most common preference that we wanted to see is into those review sites which arent biased and having those good way on reviewing specially in depth review ones into those casinos that they are trying out to feature. People would be finding out to be odd if ever there would really be some shit review.

Lots of gambling disputes have been solved in this forum and people are most thankful for the gambling assistance gotten in bitcointalk. Any member who began reading reviews on the forum wouldn't look out for other review sites, which may delay their complaints or research on a specific casino. The responses in the forum are quite a wide range and members are vast in terms of gambling-related discussions. Review sites only provide some specific information which makes it easier for a reader to understand a casino's TOS. But, I noticed that most review writers don't check the casinos and play games there to make better feedback like how long withdrawal takes and the possibilities of winning on the casino. They only write based on what is written in the casino's terms of service. Which doesn't make review sites interesting than what we could get in the forum. Members who talk about a specific casino, have used it, know its flaws and downside, how long it takes for the term to send a withdrawal, etc. Readers can also read about the previous issues the casino had, and if the gambler's money was later on resolved.

Most of these complaints and inner disputes can't be found on review sites, hence Op could use the opportunity to add on his review sites the functional aspect of the casino. If he's not ready to try out all the casinos before writing a review, then he can check in the forum or other review sites with a discussion page available to know users' complaints on the specific casino. What could lead to a person's money being seized and all that is what attracts readers to a review site, because it's the common problem in most casinos? Hardly have I seen a casino review site, offering in-depth research on a casino, what is all over the site is the outer sketch of the casino. Whether it's been active for long or not, the withdrawal method, customer service, etc. One can use the casino's TOS page to gain better information than what the review writer has on his page. Which shouldn't have been, like that.
1200  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What I've learned so far as a gambler on: December 31, 2023, 11:08:43 PM
Doubling your capital is a massive win to me and the amount is big enough for me to apply a very conservative approach. That being said, if I win $200 as profit from $200 capital, I will withdraw 90% of the funds leaving only 10% in my gambling account. From experience, after a major win comes a time when losses become regular.

Many people have the tendency of increasing their stakes when they win big and this make many of them lose the money they won very fast. It is one thing to win and another to actually cash out the winning, this is where the greed level of a gambler is truly tested. Therefore, I made it a habit to always withdraw my money anytime and win and chase them with just 10% of the profits. This way, I will not feel too bad if I lose it. Some very conservative gamblers will even go lower than 10% to ensure they don't lose their winning.
You are thinking too much about winnings and money. Gambling is only for entertainment and you should keep it that way. In order to stop losing too much of your money, you should create a strategy in which every time you place a bet, the amount should be similar. Don't go up, don't go down.
