Lol not at all, i wasn't trolling or implying any kind of sarcasm in my statement. Having said that I won't discount the brain fade moment in cricket as it's a funny game.

I believe that SENA spinners are not equipped to perform when it's a competitive spin track. Even Warnie underperformed in the subcontinent throughout his career (especially against India) because of this very reason.

When SENA spinners play in sub-continent, it is always against sub-continental teams such as India, Pakistan and Sri Lanka. Because no one arranges matches between two SENA nations in sub-continent pitches. And no one plays spin bowling better than sub-continental batsmen. And this maybe one of the reasons why SENA spinners such as Warne always underperformed in the subcontinent. Anyway, back then Australia had quite a few quality spinners. Apart from Shane Warne, they also had Stuart MacGill and Brad Hogg.

Today 21st Match of Namibia vs Nigeria team has already started.Nigeria team came out to bat first and scored 93 runs in 19.2 overs. Namibia The team will easily win this match. The Nigeria team batsmen were under a lot of pressure to give a good performance on the Namibia team bowling line. The Namibia team now came to the field to bat. They scored 48 runs in 7 overs. They have lost 1 wicket so far.  Namibia team need 46 runs from 78 balls to win this match.

Namibia finishes with 6 wins from 6 matches and once again proved that they are the second strongest team in African continent after South Africa. And remember that they were playing without one of their key players (Ruben Trumpelmann). David Wiese was superb in today's match, and returned figures of 4-1-10-2. Entry of experienced players such as Trumpelmann and Wiese has transformed the Namibian team. They need to work on the batting now. Batting still looks a bit weak of now. That said, Michael van Lingen and Nikolaas Davin did a decent job in this tournament.

Oil and gas are the daily necessities of people which every family needs because now a family has 1-2 cars and motorcycles which are completely dependent on oil and gas. And countries that depend on other countries for oil and gas have a lot of effect on the price of oil and gas.  On the one hand, the rate of inflection of money has increased, along with the increase in oil/gas prices, the countries are in a lot of trouble and have created a huge pressure on the common people.

One of the reasons for the high inflation is the rising cost of crude oil. From mid-2014 to end of 2020, crude oil prices remained at around $50 per barrel. But that changed with the election of Joe Biden as the POTUS. As a result of his policies (cancelling of Keystone XL pipeline, ban on fracking.etc), there was an immediate spike in crude prices. And then the Russo-Ukrainian war happened and the prices went up even more. Now the Israel vs Hamas war is the latest political factor which is resulting in higher crude oil prices.

Confirmed - Uganda has qualified for the world cup (first time ever for them), while Zimbabwe is out. All the 20 participants for the 2024 World Cup are now confirmed. At this point, India is no.1 ranked team as per the ICC (and that too by a considerable distance), and therefore they will be the favorites to lift the trophy. But then, the conditions are not favorable as the matches will be held in West Indies and the United States. Anyway, the IPL of 2024 will serve as a warmup tournament before the World Cup.

I'm surprised to see Ajaz Patel struggling again. What do you think New Zealand needs to do to turn things around?

If he can't take wickets even with such helpful conditions, then I am sorry to say that he doesn't deserve a place in the team. The same goes for Ish Sodhi as well. Bangladeshi spinners are bowling well and taking wickets at crucial intervals, while for New Zealand it is part-timer Glenn Phillips who is doing that role instead of Sodhi and Patel. Another 100-120 runs and this match will slip out of the gasp for New Zealand. Losing to a team like Bangladesh doesn't augurs well for the Kiwis, irrespective of the conditions.

Rwanda bowled out for just 65 against Uganda. Now it is just a matter of formality. Uganda is going to win this match and that means that they will qualify for the 2024 T20 World Cup from the African qualifier. Namibia and Uganda are the two teams who are going to qualify, while Zimbabwe becomes the only full member nation to not to feature in this tournament. BTW, Zimbabwe is off to a massive score in their match against Kenya. They are 182/2 after 16.2 overs, with Sikandar Raza making 82 from 48 balls and Sean Williams batting at 52 from 23 balls.
1187  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ UEFA Euro 2024 in Germany ⚽ - Qualifiers on: November 30, 2023, 08:49:34 AM
Germany has seen its best players retiring too and the new generation needs a bit of time to be able to compete with the other nations. Same goes for Italy and Spain. The only difference is that Spain was able to recover its form fast while Italy and Germany need more time. The regeneration phase is longer in these nations.
Belgium was classed first mainly because of the players they had but they weren't so impressive in picking a World Cup for example. For Greece, like any other country, they got a shot and were successful but it was just a shot. It is like Porto winning Champions League with Mourinho long time ago.

Players come and go all the time. France recovered pretty well from the retirement of Thierry Henry, Nicolas Anelka and Franck Ribéry. The same can be said about England after the departure of Steven Gerrard, Frank Lampard and Wayne Rooney. The problem with Germany is that they don't have younger players coming through the ranks. The quality of the national league (Bundesliga) is declining and that maybe one of the reasons. We can't also ignore the demographics. Germany is a rapidly ageing country.

Bangladesh is leading by 106 runs, with eight wickets remaining. At this point, Najmul Hossain Shanto and Mominul Haque are doing a decent job and the New Zealand spinners are unable to get any breakthroughs. A lead of around 250 is going to be enough on this surface and I guess Bangladesh will be able to reach that mark quite easily. Sad to see Ajaz Patel without much success in this innings as well. In the first innings also, he was more or less unsuccessful. The same can be said about Ish Sodhi as well.
1189  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: November 30, 2023, 07:30:28 AM
I didn't know the Ugandan team until a few days ago. But this team is playing well enough. Although I have never seen Uganda's performance against any big team. But against Zimbabwe, Uganda's performance was very good. Also against Nigeria and Kenya, Uganda's players have been able to show dominance. It will not be difficult for Uganda to win against Rwanda in the last match. Because Rwanda is a very weak opponent. We are going to see the Ugandan team for the first time in the upcoming T20 World Cup. But this team needs more improvement. Otherwise they will not be able to compete against any big team.

One thing that I noticed about the Ugandan team is that although majority of the players are native Ugandan, they have a few players who are born either in India or Pakistan. For example, Bilal Hassan and Riazat Ali Shah were born in Pakistan, while Alpesh Ramjani, Ronak Patel and Dinesh Nakrani are originally from India. And so far in this tournament, Riazat Ali Shah has performed exceptionally well. I was just wondering what would have happened if all these Pakistani origin players actually chose to play for Pakistan instead. I am not just talking about these two Ugandan players, but also about Sikandar Raza, Imran Tahir and Usman Khawaja.

Even the Greek national team won the Euro (or in the past you can remember Denmark), has Germany really become weaker than such tenacious but average teams? I doubt it. Belgium had a whole golden generation (which is about to end or has already ended, according to the KDB), but they did not win anything at all. A lot is decided by randomness and if tomorrow Germany wins gold they will begin to praise it to the skies even though it will be the same team as today.

Not an apple-to-apple comparison. Greece might have win the Euro Cup in the past. But they never managed to get to the top-5 list in FIFA rankings. The peak they reached was when they were ranked #8 in 2008. On the other hand, Germany was always regarded as one of the powerhouses in football along with England and France in Europe. Even as late as 2018, they were the no.1 ranked team as per FIFA. From that position, their rapid downfall has been nothing short of unbelievable. And currently they are not even in top-10 (current rank is #16 as per FIFA).

Today most important 2 matches who confirm last team ticket for T20 world cup 2024. 1st match Zimbabwe and kenya. 2nd match Uganda and Rwanda. The Scenario for Zimbabwe qualification is to Won his match against kenya also Uganda lost against Rwanda and the Scenario for Uganda qualification is to Won his match against Rwanda. The Scenario for Kenya qualification is to won his match against Zimbabwe. Also Uganda lost to Rwanda by big margin. Namibia has qualified and Rwanda is already eliminated.

At this point, Uganda has the maximum chances to qualify for the T20 World Cup in 2024. All they need is a win against one of the weakest teams in this tournament (Rwanda). Even if the match gets washed out, they will qualify. In case Rwanda wins somehow, then Zimbabwe will qualify (they need to defeat Kenya first), since they are having a better net run rate. For Kenya to qualify, a number of near impossible scenarios should happen, which I think is not very probable. Anyway, we will get clarity in some 5-6 hours from now.

LOL.. it was entirely unexpected that New Zealand took the first innings lead. Kyle Jamieson and Tim Southee were involved in a 52-run 9th wicket partnership, that took New Zealand from 264/8 to 316/9. Still they need to bat during the 4th innings, but now they have the psychological advantage with them. Bangladesh has started their second innings rather cautiously, with Mahmudul Hasan Joy and Zakir Hasan taking them to 22/0 after 11 overs. If they can get to a lead of 240-250, that should be enough in this track.
1193  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: November 30, 2023, 03:23:45 AM
Cricket has bees so fast now, as we can only see show from the batsmen side, but in the past their were bowlers who bowl like a speed of 150kph and we have seen them they have long hairs and when they entered the ground mostly the batters on the ground will be frightened as we can saw that Shoaib Akhter from Pakistan's Team. Not only he there were too many these days, we have also seen Bret Lee when he came to bowling mostly the batsmen will also be in the pressure position. Also Dale Steyn was one of the best bowlers of his era.

But now  we didn't see the charm in the bowlers and we can't see those bowlers who have some long hairs and have some stamina to bowl like what they have to do in the past against different teams. Now we can only see sixes everywhere and runs everywhere.

There are a few bowlers who can clock 150 kmph nowadays. Mark Wood, Mitchell Starc, Jasprit Bumrah, Adam Milne, Lockie Ferguson and Anrich Nortje are a few examples. But Lee and Akhtar during those days went up to 155-160 kmph. And they had better skills and wicket taking abilities when compared to the current generation of fast bowlers. Also, the focus has shifted to T20 cricket from test cricket. That means that the bowlers try to be as economical as possible and they are not willing to risk too much to take the wickets.

Today is the last day of the 2022–23 ICC Men's T20 World Cup Africa Qualifier. Uganda needs one more win to qualify to the 2024 T20I World Cup, and today they will be playing against one of the weakest teams in this tournament (Rwanda). For Zimbabwe to qualify, they need to win their match today (vs Kenya) and hope that Uganda loses theirs. For Kenya, the net run rate is so bad that they won't qualify even if all the results go in their favor. So it is almost confirmed that at least one full member nation will miss the ticket to 2024 World Cup.
1195  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: November 30, 2023, 02:59:41 AM
As expected from the New Zealand batsmen, but the New Zealand batsmen did not perform as well. Kane Williamson performed brilliantly and helped the team by scoring 104 runs. Had Kane Williamson been out early, New Zealand would have been all out long ago, as he played 205 balls alone. D. Mitchell and Glenn Phillips did well, but both were out before their fifties. Bangladesh bowlers have to be praised, Bangladesh bowling has performed very well. Especially Taijul Islam has bowled very well, he has taken 4 important wickets so far. It is expected that New Zealand will be all out quickly at the beginning of the 3rd day. If Bangladesh can give a target of many runs by batting well then there will be a chance to win. Do you think Bangladesh can win against New Zealand?

Once Williamson got out, it was all over for New Zealand. None of the other batsmen could settle in and push New Zealand towards a first innings lead, although Daryl Mitchell and Glenn Phillips got good starts. In all probability, Bangladesh will be taking the first innings lead, and this means that there is not much scope for a New Zealand win (they need to bat during 4th innings against the Bangladeshi spinners). Team selection needs to be looked into. Instead of Ajaz Patel and Ish Sodhi, maybe they can include Mitchell Santner for the next match.

1. Angola and Guyana become potential terrorist attack points. this is how one of the "world's oil suppliers", often "solves" its problems.
2. The "Let's Light Up the Middle East Project", where the country from point 1 was definitely one of the scenarios, also failed and the oil market remained stable.
3. Cutting oil production has no impact as the Chinese economy is in bad shape and the outlook is even worse. And it is one of the largest consumers of oil. So the demand for oil is not so high, and even decreased.

In a word - "rosy dreams" of some countries trying to manipulate or even terrorize the market - failed !

PS There is one more news that can affect the oil market - Russia is hysterical and demands from India to refuse to pay for Russian oil in rupees. Because whatever the price of Russian oil sold to India do not draw, even 90 dollars per barrel, the same dollars Russia does not get Smiley If Russia stops supplying its oil in exchange for illiquid currency, there will be a surplus on the market, which Russia will be forced to sell "for pennies". The reason is banal: the gray fleet is no longer working so efficiently (and will soon be even smaller), China will not buy oil now, except "for 1 yuan per barrel", Russia has nowhere to store oil physically.

I don't know about Angola, but reports are emerging that Venezuela is planning to invade Guyana militarily. There is a territorial dispute between the two nations stretching for over two centuries, and Venezuela claims that the region they call as "Guayana Esequiba" (some 160,000 sq.kms, or around 80% of the area of Guyana) is legally theirs. Next Sunday, Venezuela is holding a referendum on the "Essequibo question".

Now coming to the Russian oil import to India, one of the oil tankers (NS Century) has been denied permission to offload its cargo after it was sanctioned by the US. Looks like all of a sudden the oil trade between India and Russia will come to a halt. As of now, the trade is primarily conducted using United Arab Emirates Dirham (AED), but the banks in UAE are now reluctant to process payments. Indian oil companies are now discussing with banks in Singapore and Hong Kong to process the payments.

For the last 12 months, the price of Brent crude has remained in two digits. And for the last few weeks, it is really struggling to break even the $80 per barrel level. Remember that this is happening despite the fact that Saudi Arabia and Russia are continuing with their production cuts. Saudis have taken 1 million barrels per day offline, while Russians have reduced their output by 300,000 barrels per day. But this is not having any impact because countries such as Angola and Guyana are stepping up their crude oil output. Saudis and Russians are losing their market share, while non-OPEC nations are increasing theirs.
1198  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: November 29, 2023, 02:33:48 PM
Kane Williamson and Glenn Phillips both leave the field after their awesome partnership. Kane Williamson always steps up when his team is in trouble, and this time, he even scored a brilliant century at a crucial moment. For a while, this partnership was starting to worry Bangladesh as they aimed to take the lead, but Bangladesh made a good comeback by taking their wickets. By the end of day 2, New Zealand is trailing by 44 runs. Bangladesh only needs 2 more wickets to finish off New Zealand's innings. It's shaping up to be an interesting match!

Kane Williamson and Glenn Phillips were brilliant, but both of them got out when it mattered the most. I thought that New Zealand would be able to take first innings lead, but now they have lost 8 wickets and are still trailing by 44 runs. They were 253/5, and then they ended today's play at 266/8. And ironically the partnership was broken by part-time bowler Mominul Haque, who got the wicket of Glenn Phillips. Ish Sodhi also got out for a duck to leave them eight down. Now it will be very difficult for them to get to 300.
1199  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: November 29, 2023, 02:23:08 PM
op You are right everything changes over time. Playing cricket is no exception. In the words of our Bangladesh team, they have many records of winning matches even after scoring 250 runs. And now Bangladesh cannot win many matches if they score 300 runs. The stronger the current team is in batting, the better the team is in terms of performance. The match we had with New Zealand vs Pakistan in the 2023 World Cup I saw  match, New Zealand set a target of 400 runs to Pakistan. Unfortunately New Zealand could not win that match. Pakistan won the match due to rain due to rain. After Pakistan won that match, the New Zealand captain said that Pakistan was the favorite team and lucky.

Cricket has become a batsmen's game now. Boundaries have become shorter and new rules for powerplay restrictions and noball has out the bowlers at a disadvantage. When a team scores 400 batting first and then goes on to lose that match, you know how biased this sport has become. And it's not like New Zealand is a weak bowling side. They had exceptional bowlers such as Trent Boult, Tim Southee and Mitchell Santner in their squad. I am not sure whether this is the way for cricket to move forward. I would rather prefer some sort of equilibrium between the batsmen and the bowlers.
1200  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: November 29, 2023, 02:12:03 PM
The match between Uganda and Kenya is ongoing in the ICC Men's T20 World Cup Africa Region Qualifier. Uganda, after batting first has set a target of 163 for the Kenyans. The pitch offers a lot of support for the bowlers and it is going to be very difficult for Kenya to chase down this target. And if they win today's match, Uganda is almost assured of a spot in the 2024 T20I World Cup. They need to win their next match as well, but that is against one of the weakest teams (Rwanda) participating in this tournament. Kenya, once again is going to miss out qualifying for a major ICC tournament.
