1181  Economy / Economics / Re: Imagine African countries using Bitcoin to pay salaries, on: January 25, 2024, 05:09:41 PM
I don't know if the government of any African country have adopted the system of paying salaries in Bitcoin,

No African country has announced the full adoption of Bitcoin as legal tender aside the central Africa republic who is the only country in Africa that have adopted Bitcoin as an alternative and even at that,  they have not made it known whether or not Bitcoin is used as an official currency for workers salaries,  although we already are aware of the sceptical nature of many governments towards bitcoin and many of the countries have been on attacking mode and the majority give a red light to Bitcoin adoption.

So for that,  we are still far from achieving that state where an African country will adopt Bitcoin to pay salary,  and not even El Salvador who was the first country to adopt Bitcoin has not implemented that law in its system yet.
Even Central Africa Republic adoption of bitcoin too is in low key because after the announcement of their adoption of bitcoin as their legal tender, I have not heard anything from them again. Or is it that they not much in this forum? Because I have not even seen their posts in the forum. And if really African countries accept bitcoin and using it to pay salary then the inflation level would come down because the use of local currency will reduce and one the uses of local currency is reduced then the demand of dollar rate in the continent will also reduces them dollar will fall out from the continent.

Accepting bitcoin in all sectors of the governmental institutions is what we are hoping to see and do in the region we are really tired of the high inflation in the continent.
1182  Economy / Economics / Re: Passion for skills. on: January 25, 2024, 04:59:57 PM
There is no big deal here. Skill workers are even the best in the world. Even some universities in the process of learning the lecturers in the course would asked you to go and learn skills so that when you finished school, you would not suffer to look for jobs but instead they will create jobs for themselves and for others. As others have said, I a and also into the skill of writing and computer engineering.

Those are my areas of skill. If one is good in his area of skill then all skills are good.
1183  Economy / Economics / Re: In times of Crisis and uncertanities toilet paper can be new currency on: January 25, 2024, 04:38:22 PM
Op I don't think in any day toilet paper can be used as money. In which country that can happen? Let me tell you instead of toilet paper to exchange food items then it is better to go back to the trade of barter. What will toilet paper will exchange in the international market? Nothing. People can go to the farm and produce crops and others can go the the rivers and bring fish and exchange has started so there is no need to look for or printing of toilet papers to switched money for exchange.

The best exchange so far in the whole world is even barter trading. There is no need of printing and only labour and problem is solved.
1184  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin Island in the Philippines. on: January 25, 2024, 04:26:30 PM
I visited Boracay on one of my business trips. It is definitely beautiful and the weather was wonderful, especially since the weather in my country is very hot. However, their acceptance of Bitcoin, although it is a good step, I do not expect to spend with Bitcoin on my tourist trips, especially with the limited places that accept payment in Bitcoin, but it is a good step.
I just hope that they will be accepted using Bitcoin wallets and not through third-party applications, or that they will convert Bitcoin to dollars by the end of the day.
Wow!! That is what we called "travel and see". Those who are in their countries like me who have not travelled to any country even the neighboring countries I have not travelled to would not see all those happenings. Every country has their climate change. My country is a very cold area. Though there is a period of time between December to March is a period of Sunny time. After then rain season through out the year. Since they have created the island as the bitcoin island I think they would accept bitcoin and the legality of it will make everyone to use it there.
1185  Economy / Economics / Re: Reasons for personal financial accountability? on: January 25, 2024, 04:09:29 PM
Personal accountability is always very good to plan the next modality in life. You have to accountable to one of the members of your family and that should be your wife. Because if you are not accountable to her then there will be a very big problem but before her, yourself first and make sure you know the amount you spend daily and plan for the next day. And one thing to know is that, how to be truthful to oneself is another issue on ground. Because we do things according to our will.

Many people are not good in investment and they like working for another people to get paid, while others are good to do business and invest from the income they have. Self accountability is the key to success.
1186  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Is Remitano leggit? on: January 24, 2024, 11:37:03 PM
UPDATE: I've started using it and it seems legit. What really convinced me was the quick and easy trading process. It's like 2 or 3 steps fewer than other apps I've tried. I'll continue to see how it performs...
Ok. That is good to hear for you. Remitano is a nice exchange platform. I have been using remitano for one and half year before I switched to Binance and one of the features I was using in remitano is not found in the Binance app. Like in remitano you can sell directly to the app without selling to any vendor. Once you sell like the money will enter the remitano wallet as the local currency then in your turn you only send it to Nigerian Bank Account.

There is no price difference in the both. Remitano might even easier than Binance in term uses.
1187  Other / Politics & Society / Re: If you are paid while working for the Church , You will be Poor on: January 24, 2024, 11:02:04 PM
Op by now you supposed know say we can't argue religion matter for here in the forum. Dis place no be to argue Bible or others but you can just ship in Bible stories in your thread as a reference Source. Like now how you want us argue shey him correct or not. E no dey possible. Him tok am for reason oh. I think other people sef e don tell you.

Na di mistake many people wey dey come dis forum dey do oh. Mostly those bible scholars. Wen dem come dem go leave weti carry dem come and preach di gospel to people to repent. Forum accept all that but you have to know when, where and how to use them.
1188  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Why it's very risky to leave your coin in an exchange on: January 24, 2024, 10:49:38 PM
Op I fit talk say dis one na spam post because there are many thread wey we don talk dis matter plenty time. At first I think say na question you want ask and I was also preparing to answer the question but when I opened the thread na another thing I come see. Op have you heard, "Not your key not your coins" statement before? And also do you know where di phrase was emanated from? It was from this kind of thread so we are not new to this kind tok.

But Op you still need to know that many people dey keep coins for centralized exchanges because of the high transaction fee charges. Like yesterday I transferred 0.008 to busha and I was charged 7$ for the transaction. So I decided to transfer all my coins to exchange so that I will reduce code when I like to sell bitcoin next time.
1189  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Africa Football Discussion || Current Topic: AFCON 2023 on: January 24, 2024, 10:39:20 PM
Cameroon vs Nigeria will be one very fun match to watch as these are two top African teams. What’s similar between them is that, they haven’t been able to attain their full potentials as Giants of Football in Africa. While Nigeria is lacking the shooting strength upfront, Cameroon aren’t looking composed at the defense. So I think this match will be worn by the midfield. The team with the best midfield perfomance might claim the victory.

Cameroon vs Nigeria is a game of rivals and is going to be a very interesting match. Of course I will be rooting for my home team. I really hope they can get the win on Saturday. Judging by their previous performances in the AFCON, I don’t think Cameroon are going to be a threat to the Super Eagles.

As for the Mo Salah situation, I think Mo Salah is underrating his importance to his country.  And does not have passion for the AFCON. It’s true he cannot play football for the national team because of injury but his presence would be motivation for his teammates. He’s not an outspoken player like Christiano Ronaldo that can dish out instructions from the sidelines but his mere presence would be a psychological boost to the team.

Cameron will end the career of Nigeria football in this AFCON tournament and tomorrow evening Nigerian players will come home. And all the games in the AFCON today were draw. Namibia drew with Mali 0-0. South Africa which I was thinking that would win their march drew with Tunisia. And Tunisia was very strong in the back days of 2005 which was the year they scored Nigeria. Tanzania also drew with Dr. Congo  then Zambia and Morocco was the game I had an interest to to watch today.

I am not in support of Nigeria team tomorrow because their games give high blood pressure. But let see how the outcome will be.
1190  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: US Spot Ethereum ETF on: January 24, 2024, 10:04:45 PM
This is a good news to those who are investing. Someone made mentioned of theirs Great News when bitcoin ETF was approved. And the price of Ethereum will definitely pass $4k before this year will end. I think BlackRock is interested and that he is focusing on the tokenization of the altcoins. This year the narrative of cryptocurrency will change and many will benefit from the cryptocurrency market.

We only need to buy keep and hodle for the right time to sell.
1191  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: cryptocurrency on: January 24, 2024, 08:14:43 PM
Ice is no way to recommend though it is the first time of hearing such coin name but from the mere looking at the meme coin site, the project is not legit. There is no good details and the mode of uses is not stated there. And if I will recommend an Altcoin for someone to invest then I will recommend Eloncoin because the coin has a promising future to rise up. The first time what the coin came it was about 0.00000008 or there are about but recently the coin has spring up to 0.00033 and that means there is good future of the coin.

If you're wise buy Eloncoin now and wait for some years to come.
1192  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How Crypto scammers creating traps to break the system security on: January 24, 2024, 07:57:45 PM
This is a very serious matter in the internet. So what are the modalities for this casino now because if someone just mistakenly install that software in his computer from the ads display when browsing then you information in the computer would be stolen by those guys. The more the technology is getting to the highest advance level the more the scammers also advancing.

Their target now is cryptocurrencies and specifically bitcoin. In these days if you see the kind of advertisement on social media platforms, you wouldn't believe. These scammers make things reality. But they can't scam someone like me.
1193  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How fast can one achieve Crypto millionaire status with meme coin? on: January 24, 2024, 07:31:37 PM
It is not easy to become na millionaire with meme coins. And the only coin that one can make profits very well and become millionaire now is Ethereum and if the person was among the first investors in the project because the coin is still roaming around at the rate of the $2k+. And the way meme coins are entering the market is getting out of hand. Now how possible is this story is $11.87 to become a millionaire a year. Or the person became the millionaire in a dream? All these are fabricated stories. I really don't believe that.

That means the meme coin is growing faster than bitcoin itself. This stories are to lure people to invest on those coins which I will never fall for them.
1194  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you do with your altcoin holding with low value on: January 24, 2024, 07:04:09 PM
You need to be more precise and patient when dealing with assets that already have low value, we don't know how and when it will push to make some decent value and give you benefits.

Yes patient is one of the key to that but there is a question for that when the person is patient enough and the does not have value yet for years, what will you do? I have such case in my location. There is a cousin who bought a shitcoin since 2016 and till now there is no improvement in the coin, and he has waited for all these while but no way and there was a day he showed me the wallet and the coin is inside but it is valueless. So if you have such shitcoins in you end, what will you do? There are some shitcoins that you will have that you can't even sell them in anywhere. So not all the coins are buyable.

Let frame a statement that "all shitcoins are cryptocurrency buy some are more value than others".
1195  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Don't be tired of hodling that potential coins. on: January 24, 2024, 06:50:49 PM
Sometimes watching all this YouTube videos and tracking price with some random predictions fit make you think excess, the thing dey really affect their thinking and them dey easily believe those predictions.
I don see this topic for this board how many time, hold, hold, and don't sell, I believe say everybody know wetin to do now and the best idea na to take advantage of the market and accumulate more. Some go dey tempted to sell but not now wey everybody know about the bull market. I go focus more on accumulating bitcoin.

Please don't use YouTube videos and their influential investors to start your cryptocurrency investment journey. Because most of those people are sponsored motivational speakers who are there to deceive people to invest in their platforms and be scammed. And if you want to invest in cryptocurrency make your thorough investigation or research so that you know what you are doing. And one thing I also advise people that don't invest because the price is decreasing or increasing but make your home work very well before you come and invest.

No be everyone wey dey invest follow do due process but some are scammers so if you follow them you go enter wahala.
1196  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Don't be tired of hodling that potential coins. on: January 23, 2024, 11:33:36 PM
Op I don't know who's behind the scene of this thread whether a real newbie or someone else. And why I am saying this is because you made mentioned of people were thinking that last year would have been a bull run. And I don't think anyone who join this forum from 2020 would not think such because everyone knew that the bull will start from the late this year and enter the real one in 2025.

So with that every real bitcoiner is hodling to see the real bull market everyone is talking about. Last year was one the real bear market in the history of bitcoin because bitcoin run down to $15,000 before it rose to $16,000 and it stayed in the $16,000 for a long time. If you were in the year in the 2021 you would have understood better.
1197  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: No because of say you no get profits now take sell your coins. on: January 23, 2024, 11:12:28 PM
Op I don't know how you see am, he dey good to put your mind on weti you dey do so dt you focus weti dey happen and do well with weti you dey do. And I dey tok dis thing from the second paragraph of your thread because you make it general and not specific. It is the third paragraph dat you come tok specific on investment and if someone put all him money for one investment then he has to wait for the long time because investment is not for short term. And if him dey patient him go make because bitcoin investment e no dey lost. And di high blood pressure go come when you buy high and come think say him go sell when him go high but before him know di price come down well well. But if him understand di market him no supposed fear because him go definitely go up again.

And no be everyone go invest oh... Some go like to invest but money no dey while so e dey fear am and na so everything dey for the crypto life. We, we don see am finished.
1198  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Africa Football Discussion || Current Topic: AFCON 2023 on: January 23, 2024, 10:59:24 PM
The Super Eagles are playing average football but they are getting the results. They have not given us the confidence that they can go all the way to winning the title. So far, only a handful of the players have impressed me. The other players have not displayed the skill and stamina needed to play African football. Victor Osimhen gets chances and he throws them away, the Osimhen at Napoli would have scored those goals yesterday but the Osimhen at the AFCON is shooting wide. I think it’s time for José Peseiro to trust his other strikers.
Osimhen should play number 6 and not in the midfield or number 9. Nigerian team disappointed me badly yesterday Match. I just thank God I didn't bet anyone in the Match. Oya look at the way the match goes.

Guinea-Bissau vs Nigeria

12          Shots.                 11
5         Shots on target   1
51%.    Possession         49%
433    Passes               409
The above is the stat of the Match. And you are praising them. If Nigeria survive in the knockout stage then we will hope for the final but not guaranteed yet.
1199  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: First buy Bitcoin as a newbie, good way to start. on: January 23, 2024, 10:42:20 PM
Op did you also learn the subject or course you studied in school at home before study it in school or are you a college certificate holder? I hope you understand this my one line sentence perfectly? All why I mean did you study before you go to school? Definitely not. Op I must tell you, you must learn before investing and if not you will enter into scammers hand for them to use you to shine first before your eyes will open.

How can you invest in bitcoin without knowing the basic knowledge of Opening wallet and buying and selling of bitcoin and how bitcoin works. Op your story is not really clear for me.
1200  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin, when to buy on: January 23, 2024, 10:33:47 PM
When the price of bitcoin is increasing, it is good for you to use DCA to buy bitcoin but if the price very low and the bottom of the dip then you don't need to use the mathematical method of DCA but to purchase any amount at that time and hodle for the long term investment. So with the two methods I mentioned just now there is no time and period to buy bitcoin but all time. But if you meet the price at the dip time then it is your best if luck.

They suggested it for you because it is easier to get into the paradigm.
