Liverpool has just scored a beautiful goal and it’s just the 17 minute into the game. A beautiful strike scored by Salah after in what I saw as a defensive blunder by the City defenders.
I honestly didn’t see the early goal scored by Liverpool coming and I think this should be a wake up call for City players. I think they’re a bit shaken by the early goal and they do need to sit up and not allow the game to go into the half time with Liverpool leading. I believe Manchester city would equalize and come back into this game.
1182  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: March 31, 2023, 12:13:56 PM
Manchester city wouldn't give up the race, since they are strong and believe that it can be achieved. The disadvantage that Manchester city has is that they are also playing in UCL,so this might distract them a little and this should be an advantage for Arsenal to win the league, because Arsenal is focused on this.

Arsenal do need to be consistent and strive to win their games to stay ahead of Manchester City. And I think Manchester City is consistent enough to try and win most of their matches remaining and gather up points. Arsenal on the other hand would need to strive and stay points ahead from Manchester City.
City had their attention somewhat divided between the games in the premier league as well as playing in the Champions League while Arsenal could stay entirely focused on the premier league games.
1183  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The future of CBDC in gambling. on: March 31, 2023, 08:49:13 AM
I think CBDCs might just have a place in the gambling world. Online Casinos, in a bid to attract new players would evolve and become more innovative. I think casinos would make allowances for CBDCs as a mode where you could make deposits and withdrawals to attract players who would prefer to use them.

I also don’t think the inclusion of CBDCs into the gambling scenes would affect the use of cryptocurrencies in any way. Players using cryptocurrencies to play games would still prefer to use cryptocurrency cause of its anonymity and ease of transactions.

We shall not underestimate Chelsea. Real madrid has been facing two times before against chelsea. This is the third time in a row madrid faces chelsea. I think that ancellotti knows so well about how difficult chelsea is to be beaten by its club. Chelsea was almost defeating madrid last season. I think that we should not underrate any EPL team at this moment. Chelsea is always able making a good momentum to make its comeback. It would not surprise me to see that chelsea gets draw or even win.

Kante is back along with other players who are contributing a lot to the chelsea since a few years ago. Kante is also very familiar with the way madrid plays football. Potter might use him to dig for information about madrid.

Underestimating your opponent is a drastic mistake that can later cost you so it’s safe to say we should not underestimate Chelsea going in to the match with Real Madrid. Chelsea do have the potential to win a game against Real Madrid but it’s going to be a difficult one.
Personally, I think it would be difficult for Chelsea to win the game against Real Madrid. I do not underestimate them or their abilities, I just don’t think it would be enough to take them any further.

Kante is a good asset to Chelsea. I like the way he plays and I think he’s as instrumental to Chelsea as De Bruyne is to Manchester City. He would definitely be a good addition to the squad.
1185  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Neymar Loses €1M in Casino in Just an Hour on: March 31, 2023, 05:42:54 AM
Guys, I get happy when I read news like this, because it shows that even our "super heroes" lose large amounts of money.
Nobody is immune to the power of gambling, and you need self-control not to lose all your money, luckily Neymar knew how to stop before it was too late Cheesy

Now imagine if it were the other way around, "Neymar wins $ 1 million in gambling", this would encourage many people to gamble wildly in order to lose a lot of money.
Thus, it ended up discouraging or even turning on the warning signal in many people to play with prudence.

You’re probably right. If Neymar had staked €1m and won, it would definitely would have motivated a lot of people to stake money as well. It would encourage people to stake much more than they usually would do.
I know the money lost by Neymar would not leave a dent on his pockets as he earns a whole lot more but I guess it’s a good thing people saw him lose money. It would perhaps make a player willing to use whatever savings he has accumulated to stake to change his mind. You win some, you lose some.
1186  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: March 31, 2023, 05:30:27 AM
It is impossible to make predictions about this match because we don't know how Liverpool will perform. While Manchester City's performances have been consistent, Liverpool has been the most erratic team in the Premier League. Manchester United were favorites against Liverpool but was beaten 7-0. And so Guardiola must be careful. Liverpool is a strong opponent. Guardiola will have to be tactical in this match. Especially in this match, you have to keep your defense strong. I think Manchester City will win if the defense is strong. Because Haaland is in excellent form.

Yes, Manchester United because of their form then, was the favorites going into the match with Liverpool. Despite all that, Liverpool dominated the game and went on to win the game with an impressive margin too. I had hoped United would win that game.
Liverpool going into a game with Manchester City would probably be a bit difficult for Liverpool. I agree Liverpool is a strong opponent and Pep must also be careful with his plans. While the outcome of the game is still highly unpredictable, I still perceive a Manchester City win.
1187  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: March 31, 2023, 02:50:21 AM
Liverpool's instability makes it difficult to analyze the possible outcome of the match as a whole. It seems obvious that Manchester City is really stronger, and they need a win more than ever, unlike Liverpool, who already have nothing to lose. But on the other hand Liverpool is still a top club, so it's hard to say that they will lose this match easily

I don’t really think it has been difficult to analyze the match between Manchester City and Liverpool. Manchester City is the favorites to win and rightfully so too. City has been impressive in their performance, winning games and striving to reach and if possible overtake Arsenal at the top of the league table. That doesn’t look like a team that would be willing to lose to Liverpool any time soon. Apparently, Liverpool is also a top club but I wouldn’t say it’s hard to say they would lose the match cause it’s not. Liverpool would most likely score a goal but would go on to lose the game at the end.
1188  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: March 30, 2023, 07:17:26 PM
Apart from having to forget about the championship in the Premier League this season, Chelsea also may not be able to win the Champions League this season because Chelsea's performance is still very bad. I'm not sure Chelsea will be able to do much against Real Madrid in the Quarter-Finals with a greater focus on the match which will take place at home to Real Madrid, because Chelsea still needs improvement on several fronts in order to compete with Real Madrid in the Quarter-Finals.

Chelsea already has no hope in the premier league this season and now playing against Real Madrid in the Champions League, their stars surely isn’t bright. Chelsea performance hasn’t been top notch lately and in my opinion, they don’t stand a chance going in to play Real Madrid with the current form they’ve got.
With the current form Madrid is playing at, they would still have to be serious going in as Chelsea isn’t a small team either despite their current form. After all, while others have been defeated, they’ve still made it so far to the quarter finals of the Champions League.

Indeed, not many people talk about Arsenal vs Leeds, that's because Arsenal seems easy to win it. After all, the Manchester City vs Liverpool match is much bigger and more interesting, that's why many people are interested in talking about it.

I guess most people would rate the match between Manchester City and Liverpool more important and perhaps more exciting than the Arsenal vs Leeds game. And yes, it does seem easy for Arsenal to claim this win and bag the 3 points. Arsenal would want to keep up the pressure, win as much games as they can in the remaining games they’ve got to play and try to have as much distance from second place Manchester City as they can.
Both Leeds and Liverpool would have to fight really hard to and win against their opponents.
1190  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: March 30, 2023, 03:51:31 PM
City need to win to keep the gap from Arsenal widening, but Liverpool now have a goal, they have the opportunity to get top 4 and Klopp will aim to achieve this goal. For City, Liverpool are not the easiest opponents, even at the Etihad, and it will depend on Liverpool how they prepare for this game, because as we already know, Liverpool can play very well.

Man city does need to win and try to catch up to the league leaders and on paper, it sure doesn’t look too good for Liverpool. Almost everyone says it would be like a walk in the park for Manchester City to win the game. After all, they’ve got the star boy Haaland on the squad lol.
While I think Manchester City is strong enough and very capable of winning the game, I wouldn’t underestimate Liverpool and think it would be easy for a City win. I believe Klopp would prepare the best he can but would it be enough to stop City?
1191  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: March 30, 2023, 05:42:30 AM
The match between Manchester City and Liverpool will take place on April 1, and it is certain that Manchester City will win this match. They have Erling Haaland, who will try to win this match even though he is currently injured, but it is likely that he will go on the field and contribute for Manchester City.

The highly anticipated game between Manchester City and Liverpool is drawing closer. In my opinion, Manchester City seems to be the better of the two and has more probability to win, I would not say it is certain they would win the game as Liverpool could also spring some surprises. While I still think Manchester City would go on ahead to win the game, I would like to think Liverpool wouldn’t give in so easily hence the game would be an interesting one. Haaland is an amazing player, no doubt but he’s just one player. There’s only so much he can do on his own. He’s very good and all that but he still needs the help of his teammates to score goals.

I was looking forward to the international break ending until I remember it’s Man City vs Liverpool, damn it. Fully expecting LFC to get a humbling at The Etihad. This season has been a disaster for Liverpool fans, I can’t wait fir it to be over  Grin

Arsenal fans, don’t expect any help from us, I expect something like Man City 3-0 LFC.

We have a lot of work to do in the summer, major recruitment needed to get us back to where we belong but I trust Klopp, we will be right back up there next season.

Yeah, I’m also looking forward to the end of the international break and i am so looking forward to the game between Manchester City and Liverpool. Man city would in my opinion, most likely go ahead and win the game and I just want to see how they do it. It would be exciting to watch.
I also think some new and young recruitments would go a long way in helping to generally improve the club. Klopp is no doubt a great manager that can always be relied upon.
1193  Economy / Economics / Re: Is renting an inevitable waste of money? on: March 28, 2023, 11:49:35 PM
you do not understand / can feel how the condition of a small person like me. In the village, I do whatever work so that my family can eat everyday. In the village, getting a job in a company is very, very difficult with the current conditions. Incidentally a relative / friend asked me to work in the city, with a salary less than the city standard. With my condition far from my family and in order to change the family's economy, I am willing to rent a residence where I live which is not far from the company I work for. Indeed, in renting a house we have to take care of it. There is no other way for me, I don't agree with renting something that is a waste.

I wholeheartedly agree and respect your opinion on renting a place that’s much closer to your place of work than having to commute from your village.
Understandably, getting a job in the village with an organization that’s located in the city would be very difficult as most employers would want their employees within reach at most times.

Fortunately for you, you’ve landed a job in the city. While it pays less than city standards, it definitely wouldn’t be the same rate you get for jobs back in the village. If it isn’t, you would not be so willing on renting.
Perhaps you might consider having a roommate. That could help reduce costs and improve on your savings.
1194  Economy / Economics / Re: #Quittok: Desire for positive work environments and greater work-life balance on: March 28, 2023, 11:26:42 PM
Why would anyone share a video about quitting your job online? It just doesn’t make any sense to me. I get it, we all want a better work environment with a better pay and all that and if you aren’t getting that at your place of employment, it’s within your rights to quit.

Actions speak a lot louder than words and the manner and behavior in which you choose to exhibit when quitting would tell others quite a bit about you. Then you’ve got to go ahead and put it on the internet for everyone, probably including your next employer to see.

You may very intend on passing along a message with your quitting video about standing up for a right to better working conditions with pay but your message could also be interpreted differently by other people who would then start to generate a not so good opinion of you.
This hashtag might probably be highjacked by trolls seeking views and attention and ruin the purpose(if any) for its existence.
Sadly, I think people might follow this trend to quit their jobs and post it online simply cause others are also doing it the same way people have been blindly following others.
1195  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Guys!! I was finally able to buy my home thanks to Bitcoin!!! on: March 27, 2023, 04:37:55 PM
Many Congratulations to you OP. I think it’s a good achievement that you’re a home owner. Now, you can save up on the money formerly used in paying rent. And I know how renting can be a huge strain on ones finances.
I think it’s also great that you did so with the help of bitcoin. You can add this to the list of achievements bitcoin has started to and would later help you achieve.

While bitcoin has helped you achieve your goal of having your own home, I think you also did a good job in holding  onto bitcoin that ultimately helped you pay for your home cause not everyone has perseverance holding onto bitcoin for the long run.
Congratulations

By the way OP, I don't follow the news and thus don't know anything about what happened.  Perhaps linking to a source to the incident you're referencing would help ignoramusses like me (derp) understand things better without having to google-ize it.

A short summary on what went down.
1. Four Americans crossed the border and went into Mexico for a medical procedure(not sure all of them needed the procedure)
2. They were shot at and later kidnapped
3. Unfortunately, two died.
4. The Cartel, knowing the shit storm they’re about to come under quickly condemned and disowned the actions of the perps, forwarded an apology letter along with the guys who were responsible.

Here’s a link to an article.

1197  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: My Bitcoin Advice for newbies on: March 26, 2023, 04:27:58 PM
I particularly liked your first point about bitcoin not being a get rich quick scheme as there is a staggering number of people that do believe bitcoin is a get rich quick scheme and then when their expectations aren’t met, they would then tag bitcoin as a “scam” and go on to ignorantly tell anyone who cares to listen on how they lost money through bitcoin. It’s crazy on how many people continue to think like this.

I would partially disagree over your 3rd point. Personally, I try to stay away from alt coins and I don’t bother myself with them. But I know people that, having profited from alt coins would disagree with you. I do think they have their uses as well.

In my opinion, a newbie or anyone else wouldn’t be easily deceived or manipulated if only they take out some time to do some research for themselves. And that’s the first advice I would give anyone; Do your own research and not having to rely on some vague information that you heard someplace. People can be misleading and mischievous. Doing one’s own research would help steer you away from most of these mischief makers.
1198  Economy / Economics / Re: Lending money or damaging family bond ? on: March 26, 2023, 03:53:56 PM
~
You just did a great job not lending your cousin.
If you feel that he/she will not pay you in the future then what's the reason why you lend money to him/her. Trust hasn't been there. It's like those banks where if you have a low credit score, they see you as untrustworthy therefore, they will not let you borrow.

Lucky for me, I didn't encounter that kind of scenario as well. Maybe because I'm good at keeping my assets, and I'm not sharing anything that's related to my money to anybody here (even to my own family Cheesy). Don't get affected if he doesn't talk to you anymore because after all, you see him as an untrustworthy person. If you are affected that much because of your decision, you can try and approach him and lend him a few dollars to at least build the trust.

Like you said, it’s just like the banks. They would refuse anyone with a low credit score cause the person is not trusted enough to repay such loans.
I think you’re one of the lucky ones cause you haven’t had a relationship ruined cause of repayment of a loan. Money has divided a lot of people. I know.

I also think it’s great that you keep your finances personal and don’t go about sharing how much you’ve got in the bank to family and friends. Your finances are private matters and should be kept private. The only other person who could have access to your finances would be your spouse.
If friends and in some cases family know exactly how buoyant you are, they will come armed with the knowledge and feeling somewhat entitled asking for a loan that would probably be never paid back.
1199  Economy / Economics / Re: Lending money or damaging family bond ? on: March 26, 2023, 02:09:54 AM
I think everyone once faced such requests from relatives. And the decision to lend them money or not depends only on their reputation.I have been in similar situations when I refused, but referring to the fact that I do not have free money.

Yes, a lot of people probably must have gone though such an experience of a family member or a close friend requesting for a loan and in a lot of cases, those requests have been either politely declined due to legitimate fears of not being paid back. Obviously, the decision to part with your money solely depends on the reputation of the person.
Lots of relationships have been lost due to lending of money. I hope people quickly realize the fact that with the worsening economic situation globally, money is getting harder to come by and the amount sitting in the bank is slowly but steadily losing some of its value.
1200  Economy / Economics / Re: Is renting an inevitable waste of money? on: March 26, 2023, 12:37:15 AM
Renting is the best solution for workers from villages to cities, because they don't have enough money to buy it, and in my country to have a standard house, which the government provides through private companies, must have standard criteria, such as their salary in a city company , for $450 and must also be a permanent employee of the company. In addition, renting is lighter and with less financial responsibility and maintenance costs, as this is usually the responsibility of the landlord.

Renting, in my opinion cannot be said to be the best solution for workers that live in the rural areas and come over to the city for work as some would find it more affordable and cheaper to commute from their homes in the rural areas to work in the city. A lot of people do this instead of going through the hassle of renting a place in the city that the rent alone would probably eat deep into your little income.

Also, I don’t think renting is as light on the tenant as you make it out to be. The landlord obviously has some obligations to keep the house convenient for living so does the tenant is responsible to keep the house as it was met. Also, the light, water bills are on you as the landlord would obviously not pay for the utilities of a tenant.
Renting isn’t the best solution as I think there is actually no best solution. People are just inclined to do whatever works for them.
