Questions: Already about 500+ BTC with the 15% bonus invested.. does that mean the people invest the first 50 get more lisk then now?
How to see the amount of lisk received? I dont get that Excel Sheet actually Tongue

Thanks in advance.

A person that donates 1 BTC in the 1st week will get 15% more Lisk issued to him than somebody that donates 1 BTC in the last week.
A person that donates 1 BTC in the 2nd week will get 10% more Lisk issued to him than somebody that donates 1 BTC in the last week.
A person that donates 1 BTC in the 3rd week will get 05% more Lisk issued to him than somebody that donates 1 BTC in the last week.

To see how many THOUSAND Lisk will be received by a person donating 1 BTC in the last week, go to this spreadsheet and look for the big red number in the yellow highlighted area:

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1iOEdaRnBmSAO5miW7xYheeYUgo5wL9l9BONw6x21nQg/edit#gid=1360974801

That number is gonna go DOWN as the ICO progresses and more donors show up.  However, as the ICO progresses the price in satoshi of a single Lisk goes UP.   These two factors cancel each other out and keep the value of a donation constant at all times during the ICO.

If you donate this week, multiply that big red number by 1.15.  Next week by 1.10.  And so forth.

The entire sale seems to be stuck for XCR.
Slightly important that someone fix that, I don't know... maybe I'm asking for too much.

0/10 confirmations after 2-3 hours means something has gone wrong on their end. I'm trying to ascertain what has gone wrong so I can act accordingly.

I am in the exact same boat.  I tried a second transfer and got the same result.  I suspect that some XCR transactions are getting on forked or offline nodes.  Max and Oliver will take care of us, it's just gonna take them some time (and sleep).  We've got a month, it's all gonna be OK.
1183  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LISK] Lisk | ICO | Decentralized Application & Sidechain Platform on: February 22, 2016, 03:48:18 PM
I sent, but XCR confirmations are taking forever... not sure what is happening. Amount has not left my XCR account and I have 0/10 confirmations even though I'm on the page saying it went through for the last 20 minutes.

Awaiting confirmations.
Thx.

Still nothing,

I take it nothing actually went through even though it says it did? I have a tx ID and everything and nothing registers on the XCR chain, no amount has left account, no confirmations have come through in 30+ minutes... does the conversion of XCR page not give an error if something goes wrong or is entered incorrectly?

I am having exactly the same problem.  Oliver is going to reset my "Exchange" so I can try again.  Head over to lisk.chat and let him know you need the same assistance.

I have a crypti account with 6693 XCR and I put passprase today and now it's opened with new address with O XCR! It means that new address have old passprase and I cannot get into 6693 XCR. Did somebody have the same problem? Thanks for help

It means that you typed in a different passphrase this time than last time.  Did you try multiple times / cut-and-paste?

Hello,
i have a question Smiley  i have transfer a small amount.

ShapeShift
LISK: 266.xx
40 minutes ago it was 285.xx ??

and in my Exchange Order:
...change in LISK: 71911820.xx ??

what's wrong now?

Nothing is wrong.  As I note in my spreadsheets tracking the ICO (see above for links):

The Lisk ICO will distribute a fixed quantity of 85 million Lisk to an unknown number of donors
As more donors contribute, the quantity of Lisk received for a particular contribution goes down
As more donors contribute, the satoshi worth of Lisk received for a particular contribution goes up
At all quantity & price combinations, the original value of a particular contribution is preserved & constant
1186  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LISK] Lisk | ICO | Decentralized Application & Sidechain Platform on: February 14, 2016, 11:23:06 PM
XCR does not receive a bonus for earlier conversion. Since XCR already represents an existing share in the distribution regardless of outcome regardless of when it is converted, it makes sense that it doesn't receive a bonus.
just when i thought i was starting to understand the ICO....

Yeah, I don't understand that statement either.

To clarify, the only practical alternatives for XCR are to convert to Lisk or sell it for another coin, most notably, Bitcoin. It is, in a way, a sharedrop for for the existing investors who funded creating the base technology for Lisk but flexible in that conversion results in a stake based on how much additional funding is received instead of being a fixed percentage. Maybe it could be argued that XCR holders should receive the bonus as well since they are foregoing the option to sell instead of holding to see how the ICO pans out, but the sale price can be expected to increase as the ICO progresses and the BTC bonuses diminish if there is a strong interest in the ICO throughout the period.

I think it's all much simpler than your explanation.   A BTC/Shapecoin bonus level structure for the ICO is nothing more than free advertising.

If you know about this ICO and you are going to participate in it with BTC/Shapeshift coin, you will do so in the first week.   This means there will be a big pop in real money donations up front that will make news.  Early news coverage of how well the Lisk ICO is doing makes other new people aware of the ICO, and these newly informed people will show up in week two.  Another pop, more news coverage, more people show up.

Without the BTC/Shapeshift rewards, everybody holds back until the end to see what others are going to do, the ICO looks slow, no news coverage, no newly informed people brought in in weeks two and onward.

There's no reward structure for XCR donors because XCR people shuffling from one version of their own coin to another version of their coin isn't really true money flow and therefore isn't news.   The bonus structure for BTC/Shapeshift doesn't hurt XCR holders and so is irrelevant to them.  With a fixed and fair market value of 1300 satoshi conversion rate for XCR to equivalent BTC, a XCR holder leaves the ICO with the same value of holdings that he has before the ICO.  If he gets more Lisk than Crypti donated (because fewer BTC donors showed up), the value of the Lisk goes down to compensate.  If he gets fewer Lisk than Crypti donated (because more BTC donors showed up), the value of his Lisk holdings go up to compensate.

The important thing is not for XCR people to get a bonus.  It is for them to not lose or gain money relative to BTC/Shapeshift donors as a result of the ICO.  This is accomplished.  It is a good and fair ICO to all parties.

The reward structure is free advertising, nothing more.  85M Lisk and only 85M Lisk get handed out at the end regardless.  Max is very talented in public relations, and the ICO reward structure is a good example of his thinking.

As I have predicted repeatedly, the first person to write a sports betting dapp on Crypti / Lisk 0.5.5 will become a billionaire.

No.  Advantage, BTC / Shapeshift coins.

.... nearly all programming languages are Turing complete.

Yep, because just about all modern computer languages could be used to write a simulation of Turing's original imaginary "endless paper tape" computer he dreamed up in the 1930s.  Turing's simple example, though, was very impressive because he was dreaming about computers before anybody had any idea how a computer could actually work.

Two conclusions to think about.

First, if a group is actually babbling out loud about "Turing completeness" in a world where just about all programming languages are Turing complete, it's because they want you to think they are smart and have a monopoly on something special when they really don't.

Second, if nearly all programming languages are Turing complete, go with (and back for further development) the language that is actually simplest to use.   Which for side chains and dapps is JavaScript with Lisk, not Solidity with Etherium.

1192  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LISK] Lisk | ICO | Decentralized Application & Sidechain Platform on: February 14, 2016, 07:07:37 PM
can someone please ELI5 "Turing-Completeness"

thanks

Etherium says their brand new programming language (Solidity) is so very, very, very good you will never ever have to change away from it because it can do literally anything.  Ultimate Computer Geek Alan Turing (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alan_Turing) says so.

Lisk says that may be true, but such a language is pretty darn hard to learn or use, and needs very complicated computers to run it.

Lisk says use a simple, common language (JavaScript!) and simple, cheap computers ($35 Raspberry Pi 2s!  $9 CHIPs !) to do 99% of what Etherium can do at 1% of the difficulty and 1% of the cost.
1193  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LISK] Lisk | ICO | Decentralized Application & Sidechain Platform on: February 14, 2016, 06:38:38 PM
The ICO information is not clear enough.

Can everyone just buy 1 share of a fixed size? Or 1 share which size depends on the amount of sold shares?
Or can you invest as much as you like? If so: is it fixed how much share you get for your money beforehand or does this depend on the total amount raised by the ico?

Thanks

You can donate as many XCR or BTC or Shapeshift coin as you want.

Exactly 85 million Lisk - no more, no less -  will be split between all donors no matter which coin they donate.

The total share of 85 million Lisk you get will be the ratio of your donation to the total amount of all donations, adjusted slightly for bonuses.  There is a bonus value to contributing early - for example, a BTC / Shapeshift coin donated in the first week will get 115% of the total Lisk received by a BTC / Shapeshift coin donated in the final week.  This BTC/ Shapecoin bonus drops to 110% in the second week and 105% in the third week.  There is no bonus at any time for XCR donations.

The final satoshi value of each Lisk will be set to reflect the total amount of all donations.  The more donations, the higher the final satoshi value for each Lisk will be.

There will be ongoing progress reports during the ICO to report current donation levels at a particular time.

The final number of Lisk per no-bonus BTC (and therefore the satoshi value of a single Lisk) can only be determined at the end of the ICO when all donations have been placed in escrow pending the Lisk genesis block.

Max, please correct me if I am wrong here.

(By the way, I am of Scottish ancestry.  Haggis.  Mmmmmm.  Good.)

I really liked LISK and ready to invest some btc in the ICO untill i get so annoyed by MalReynolds , This dude make Lisk look like a joke by spamming all Bitcointalk Threads with hes Red Big Letters, so annoying and
really works counter effective if you ask me !

Good luck devs but im out !

Please note, that MalReynolds is not a team member and we didn't ask him to do this. He may just be a little over enthusiastic. Smiley

I hope you think about your decision once again. You shouldn't make a decision because of a single community member. You should make a decision because of the team and their technology.

I always try to listen to honest, constructive criticism - especially when it is true.  My apologies if I have turned anybody off with my actions.   Accordingly, I have removed all "spam posts" in other BTC threads, I will go back and edit my previous posts in this thread to "tone them down", and I will PM to ask others who "quoted" me to do the same.  Please go back and verify for yourself that I have done this.  In the future I'll try to curb my enthusiasm - which for Lisk is very sincere.

Max is correct.  The team and technology of Lisk is worthy of support, and I am an outsider in both of those.

How many millions of XCR does the TEAM already have?
They are separating 15 million for themselves + converting a great deal more I take it - I think it would be nice to have transparency there.

How many total coins at launch?

There is transparency, I think, but it is scattered all over the place right now.  It has been kind of a chaotic couple of weeks lately.  Let me see what I can pull together in this post.  Take all of this with "a grain of salt", as we say in English....

For the record, I am a major holder of Crypti (symbol "XCR") and a current Crypti DPos Active Delegate Forger.  I was not involved in the Crypti launch in 2014.  All of my Crypti I have purchased on exchanges (Bter and Poloniex).  I am not (and have never been) a member of either the "Crypti Foundation" or the "Lisk Team".  My only entry into Lisk will be the Crypti I transfer into Lisk, and the rewards I earn on the various Lisk pre-launch promotions.

As far as I know the Lisk Team consists of two people, Max Kordek ("LiskHQ", self-declared CEO of Lisk, and a German) and Olivier Beddows ("karmacoma24", self-declared CTO of Lisk and British - I think).   These two were on the "Crypti Team", but not necessarily as core members.  Max did public relations and Olivier did tool development and other tasks such as the Crypti blockchain explorer, network node setup on various cloud servers (he currently runs a third of the 101 Crypti nodes), and translation of the Crypti JavaScript / node.js software into versions that will run on ARM microcomputer devices.  I have no idea how much Crypti they got for their service but I don't think they were / are major current holders of Crypti.

Over the past few years Crypti has evolved from "just another cryptocoin for spending" into a really cool blockchain technology software development project / Ethereum alternative.  Crypti had done a lot of good work recently getting to their promised 0.5.5 version, which allows full deployment of side chains and dapps using JavaScript/node.js and microcomputers like Raspberry Pi 2 and CHIP.   However, the original development funds were gone, where to take Crypti next was an open question, and overall the Crypti project was running out of steam.

Several weeks ago Max and Oliver made a surprise announcement that they were going to create a fork of the open-source Crypti, call this fork Lisk, and try to arrange a second round of development funding.  This caused some serious drama that I'll skip over.  The end result was that those left behind in Crypti are now supporting the Lisk fork as they chart their own path forward.  The main Crypti developer and mastermind, Boris Povod, has agreed to participate in Lisk as a paid advisor even as he continues to develop Crypti.

There are some significant philosophical differences between Crypti and the Lisk fork.   Crypti is a pure Proof of Stake (PoS) coin with true Delegated Proof of Stake (DPoS) voting on who its 101 forgers (miners) are.     Lisk has introduced significant block rewards to its cooperative 101 forgers / miners, making Lisk an inflationary Proof of Work (PoW) coin like Bitcoin.  These rewards also provide additional "votes" to those who have already been "voted in", which is a bit of a distortion from a true DPoS system.  Forging rewards mean inflation in Lisk will be 15% in year one (going from 100M to 115M Lisk), while Crypti is a zero inflation coin that will be at 100M coins forever.

There are also some significant technological differences between Crypti and the Lisk fork.  For example, Crypti currently has integration with Sia for distributed mass data storage support in its side chains and dapps; Lisk intends to switch over to IPFS for this function.  Lisk intends to push forward as fast as possible on dapp development, while there is now talk at Crypti of "going back" and trying to perfect a technology called Proof of Time (don't ask, it's a cool idea that ran into difficulties in 2015).  So Crypti and Lisk seem likely to diverge significantly in months and years to come.  Let me just say, the comeback pivot and project recovery shown by the Crypti Team after the Proof of Time failure convinced me all of these people, including Max and Olivier,  will keep their word and find a way to accomplish their goals.  These are all good technical people and serious project developers I am talking about here, not scam artists.  That's why I'm still around, something incredible is coming out of all this effort sooner or later.

So, 100M Lisk are to be in the 2016 Lisk Genesis Block, just like there were 100M Crypti in the 2014 Crypti Genesis Block.

85M Lisk will be split between people who buy in with Crypti (the original financial supporters that funded Crypti development from version 0.1.0 to 0.5.5) and those who buy in with BTC/Shapeshift (new second-round financial supporters that will fund further Lisk development from version 0.5.5 onward).  Combining these two groups into a new and unified Lisk community is complicated.  The end amount of Lisk given out to new BTC/Shapeshift investors will be influenced by the number of transferring original XCR investors.  The end price of Lisk seen by the original XCR investors will be influenced by the donations of the new  BTC/Shapeshift investors.  Nobody will know the final amount / price results until the Lisk Initial Coin Offering (ICO) is over.  I have prepared some "complicated" charts (links below) that show all possible future combinations of BTC/Shapeshift and XCR donations to Lisk that can occur between Feb 22-March 21 during ICO.  Only one of these combinations will be "real" at the end of the ICO.   That's the two numbers on the charts Lisk will go with in the end - one specific concentration / dilution holdings factor for the XCR donators, and one specific satoshi price for the BTC/Shapeshift donators.

The amount of Lisk that XCR donors will get (which determines the amount BTC donors get, too):  https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1GwWKK7bpjYTxtQRIq_l2xiKI9rEOpTU1oTt0q3C6Mc8/edit#gid=763738405

The price of Lisk that BCT/Shapeshift donors will get (which determines the price XCR donors get, too): https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1Q2MJ25_bK5Yi60FYohYCUEkujUtL5c0P1dOdlDMPMBI/edit#gid=763738405

The remaining 15M Lisk get split in ways that are outlined in the Lisk ICO Part I.

Lisk ICO Terms Part I: https://blog.lisk.io/lisk-ico-terms-part-i-2e7d01955e4d#.r0nxttf7e

Lisk ICO Terms Part II: https://blog.lisk.io/lisk-ico-terms-part-ii-3b50ab74c9b6#.4mb5hyc28

The Lisk Team (Max and Olivier?) get 8M Lisk (4M Lisk each?).  Maybe a portion of this 8M Lisk will go new node.js programmers they haven't even hired yet.  I'm not sure of the details, but I personally  think this 8M Lisk represents a lot smaller proportion than what the original Crypti Foundation set aside for their own benefit back in 2014 (15M Crypti?  I don't know, but it seems like it was definitely more than 8M Crypti...but those 15M XCR was also for an original Crypti team that was a lot bigger than two people).  It's fun to speculate on details but IMHO the Lisk Team has a right to some privacy on just what they do inside their 8M black box of team compensation funds.  They are entrepreneurs, they are taking risks and working hard, and they are motivated by the prospect of a big future payday.  That's why we're all in cryptocurrencies.

Anyway, the 7M Lisk that is left goes to pre-ICO bounties (1M Lisk), advisors, partners and 3rd parties (2M Lisk) , and post-ICO campaigns and bounties (4M Lisk).

I have never met either Max or Olivier but I will say they worked very hard behind the scenes at Crypti.  I'm sure others of the Crypti Foundation also worked very hard behind the scenes creating the code infrastructure for Crypti (particularly Boris!).   But Max and Olivier were the ones that continuously reached out the most to help others in overcoming Crypti software bugs / problems and create a sense of community at Crypti.  Based on my months of interactions with them at Crypti, I personally have a great deal of confidence in their ability to make Lisk a success.

Max, Olivier, please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong on any of the above, which I think is a fair "transparency" overview / summary.

Thank you for the summary Mal. All is looking correct. Smiley

So if you have crypti, how do you convert that in lisk?

The Lisk Initial Coin Offering (ICO) is not just issuing a new coin; it has two specific goals to accomplish.  These are (1) absorbing membership from the already existing Crypti XCR coin (the coin Lisk is forking) AND AT THE SAME TIME (2) gather a second round of funding from new BTC/Shapeshift investors to further develop the sidechain / dapp technology developed by Crypti.

A fixed amount of 85 million Lisk will be distributed in the ICO.  The end amount of Lisk given out to new BTC/Shapeshift investors will be influenced by the number of transferring original XCR investors.  The end price of Lisk seen by the original XCR investors will be influenced by the donations of the new  BTC/Shapeshift investors.  Nobody will know the final amount / price results until the ICO is over.

The "complicated" charts below show all possible future combinations of BTC/Shapeshift and XCR investments in Lisk between Feb 22 and March 21.  Only one of these combinations will be "real" at the end of the ICO.   That's the two numbers on the charts Lisk will go with - one specific concentration / dilution factor for the XCR donators, and one specific satoshi price for the BTC/Shapeshift donators.

These charts show how these two groups of original XCR investors and new BTC/Shapeshift investors will be merged together into one group of Lisk holders IN A FAIR MANNER.

How many Lisk you will get for every Crypti you donate (Ownership dilution / concentration):

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1GwWKK7bpjYTxtQRIq_l2xiKI9rEOpTU1oTt0q3C6Mc8/edit#gid=763738405

Crypti folks:

Note that if your ownership is diluted (less genesis Lisk than Crypti donated), the price of the Lisk you hold goes up to compensate.  The net value of your holdings is unchanged at the end of the ICO.

Note that if your ownership is concentrated (more genesis Lisk than Crypti donated), the price of the Lisk you hold goes down to compensate.  The net value of your holdings is unchanged at the end of the ICO.

What Satoshi price you will pay for one Lisk with the Bitcoin you donate (Logical Lisk starting price at exchanges):
