1181  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Canelo Alvarez vs Dmitry Bivol - May 7 on: March 23, 2022, 06:46:10 PM
We never know what it may happen, for example the US may forbid any Russian athletes to perform on their country forcing a relocation of the fight or its cancellation, sponsors may boycott the fight, the US fans of boxing are one of the main consumers of PPV and they may boycott the fight as well, the WBA could avoid sanctioning the fight and as such it would not be a title fight anymore, so when we think about all the things that could happen then we can see the fight could be canceled at any moment.

Lets not speculate things and remain positive until we see any official announcement of the cancellation of this match. This match is to be played on May 07, and by that time the conflict between Ukraine and Russia would be over and things would be normal by then.
Let us hope that is the case, I want to see this fight since Bivol is going to be a an interesting rival for Canelo, however it is undeniable that there is a risk the fight could be canceled, so while I agree that we must remain positive at the same time we cannot close our eyes to the truth, which is that the cancellation of the fight is a real possibility and it is something that could happen sooner or later whether we like it or not.

Nothing is certain and up to date there's no update to this fight, I also hope that it will proceed fans already missed Canelo and with this fight he will be test again, he's facing a much stronger and tougher opponent, he went up to this new division viewers expect him to adjust and with the fans; they are expecting him to be the same dominating fighter.

We will see that once the fight proceeds and both fighters are inside the ring, let see if how Canelo will adjust with the kind of opponent's Bivol like.

We will see if we can receive some good or bad updates next month as there could be some delays that will happen in line of the Russia and Ukraine conflict but I'm also looking forward just like you guys that this fight will happen in the exact scheduled date this 7th of May.

Other than that, worrying or speculating too much won't help.

1182  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Errol Spence Jr vs. Yordenis Ugas 3-Belt Welterweight Unification Match on: March 23, 2022, 05:51:38 PM
^^ Right, I think only few people are expecting an upset in this fight. Spence is the favorite for nothing, although Ugas seems to be a formidable opponent in paper and both have their advantages and disadvantages, Spence is about a complete fighter as we can get in the welterweight division. Tall, power in both hands, tight defense, ring IQ. Ugas is a good fighter, no question about it, but Spence is going to beat him in my opinion.

The only weakness I see for Spence is that he was inactive for over a year, while Ugas was actively fighting and continues to train hard to improve. Well, on paper, it's really Spence who has the advantage, the record comparison alone made us easily decide who is better. However, this time, both are champions fighting for a chance to be a unified champion, it should be an intense fight.

Yes, expect an intense and tough fight because this is a unification match and we will definitely get to see those in less than a month now.

Being inactive for over a year is not that big deal anymore as almost every boxer can now avoid being rusty in the ring and that's the least weakness for Spence because even if he's not fighting for more than 1 year he still fit and doing light to heavy exercise and that could include sparring in his workout sessions.

this is why preparation is the key here and the strategies they are planning once inside the ring. as this is a unification fight, who will win will win big on this match. it is very clear that spence jr is highly favoured here. but we can't ignore ugas' skills. but in any case, i believe, we will see a very good toe-to-toe fight and that would be worth it.

Exactly! We can tell that both of them have prepared and have planned each and every strategy carefully if either one of them is moving this way because both of their belt is at stake, so we can actually tell that this would be an interesting match to see because neither of them is willing to lose.
1183  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Casimero vs Butler ordered by WBO on: March 23, 2022, 04:40:23 PM
That's likely going to happen if Casimero won't show up again, this is his last chance so he should really work more hard now because he was given a chance instead of getting stripped after that incident in Dubai last year but I think that wouldn't going to happen this time as his camp is really focusing on his health now.

After that Dubai incident, Probellum has announced it clearly that this April fight for Casimero is his last chance and if that incident will happen again then he would be strip of the belt and they will look for a replacement boxer so I think they are now scouting or we could say that a "plan B" is in place.

Probellum was caught off guard on that Dubai incident so I think they learned their lessons well and hard lol.

Yes, we can quite assume that "Plan B" is just waiting and sitting around the corner if Casimero fails again this time but I think the burden is now passed on MP Promotions since Casimero's contract with Probellum have already ended last February 2022, IIRC.

MP Promotions have been trying their best so that Casimero's won't fail this time around and as for now, seems Casimero isn't having some difficulties. Anyway, we will see this coming few weeks but I hope he will be healthy.
1184  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: March 23, 2022, 04:12:42 PM
Lebron is a great player and I like him, but dude is just way too old, even with scoring this many points, he is too old to carry a team of scrubs anymore, add in health issues and it is unlikely that they will even be in play-in, and even if they are they will just get eliminated.

If only he is surrounded by a good set of teammates, the Lakers might be one of the title contenders this year.

That old dude is averaging 30 PPG and if there's a teammates that is doing the same, they are a team to beat this season. But unfortunately, that's not the situation and the Lakers nation is hoping for a good surprise.  Not too late for Westbrook to regain his momentum. Just focus and disregard negative comments towards him.

Unfortunately I just think it doesn't work with Westbrook out there.  This whole thing relies on Bron defying the odds and then hoping to tread water until AD can come back.  Not looking good for them though.

I agree, I think we already saw what we need to see on Westbrook this season and he's been really inconsistent and too far away from his recent years in NBA. This season he is averaging 18.1 PPG and that's much lower than the last season which is 22.2

I wouldn't be so surprised that he won't be in the Lakers next season.

1186  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Casimero vs Butler ordered by WBO on: March 22, 2022, 07:13:52 PM
It was gastritis specifically and if this would happen on 2nd time around or would be having some medical issues on upcoming fight which is 1 month from now then it would really be having some irresponsibility from Casimero's side which should really be taking the blame and of course it would really be resulting for possible belt to be stripped but i highly doubt that it would happen again on this
upcoming schedule.People had been longing for this fight and hopefully there wont be some health issues to rise up.

After that incident, I'm sure Casimero's camp takes that as a lesson and now doing their best not to happen again.

They understand the consequences if ever Casimero will be the reason again for the fight to be delayed or canceled. In the first place, it just makes sense for WBO to strip the title to a champion that is unable to fight properly because of health issues.

Next month, we hope for the best that there will be no delay again because of Casimero. Don't want to see him being stripped in a title without fighting for it on the ring.

they only have one shot for that particular health reason. if it will happen again, i don't think they will receive the same treatment from the boxing community as well as from the boxing authorities. we need him to fight not give reasons not to see him fight. this has been in discussion for so long already. if this will be an upset, eyeing for inoue will be far-fetched.
no odds yet but casimero may be favoured here.
Definitely, it's a one done deal for Casimero and his camp, if he didn't show up again, he will be strip and lose his chances of a bigger payday against Inoue or any champion in the division. And I would say that he is lucky to be given the second chance, so he shouldn't have any excuses and be professional against Butler.

If he has problem making weight then he should go on and move on the next weight class after this one, otherwise, if he either fight Inoue or Donaire, he might not be 100% because of the difficulty of making the required weight.

That's likely going to happen if Casimero won't show up again, this is his last chance so he should really work more hard now because he was given a chance instead of getting stripped after that incident in Dubai last year but I think that wouldn't going to happen this time as his camp is really focusing on his health now.
1187  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: March 22, 2022, 06:06:53 PM
Nets are going to be hosting Jazz home tonight. And I see that bookmakers are favouring Jazz to win this game. But it is a slight odd difference between them too as Nets are in a great shape as well. They have started to play stronger recently and they are getting the products of their efforts for sure. Especially Irving has done an incredible work recently. For example, the game that he scored 60 points in was unbelievable. It was career-high points for him. I'm still waiting for him to start playing in home games too. Then, they can be awesome as before.
I expected the odds to be closer since Durrant is already playing at a high level but I can also understand why the bookies had Jazz at 1.7 while Nets at over 2. Mitchell is playing really well carrying his team to double digit wins in the past three games.

Discard Irving's recent performance since he is still not allowed to play home games.

It looks like there are no major injury to both sides so this shouls be an entertaining game.

That's why right there because kyrie is out.  The Jazz are a top team and will be real difficult for the Nets to handle without kyrie.  I wouldn't touch this game could go either way here.  Should be a good one though

I agree, that's because Irving is not there playing against the Jazz but it turns out that Nets have manage to gather their strength together to snatch a victory but it was a really good game to watch though. Mitchell as always the biggest contributor and have put 30 points and of course Durant also got the other side.
1188  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What will be the next big industry move? on: March 22, 2022, 05:26:33 PM
I feel like Physical casinos are going to slowly disappear. It can take another 50 years or so, but eventually online gambling will take over completely just like online gaming is taking over. Nowadays people prefer to play social games like poker via computer which tells a lot about the direction in which the industry is going.
30 years ago people weren't ordering food online or gambling online. All they were doing was chatting with people and sending emails, Now you do everything online: date, gamble, get food, play games, have video conferences with people, watch streams and movies, work. This is winning because people are lazy and prefer to gamble in their underwear eating pizza than ding it in a crowded casino. Also, covid doesn't make physical casinos more popular.

That totally makes sense and I do agree with you on that! Covid is the biggest factor why these physical casinos were getting out of hype and I could see that someday like in these coming few decades that they will slowly go extinct or else we will see just a small version of casinos we have now because the place would be to big just to cater few people visiting them in daily basis.
1189  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Canelo Alvarez vs Dmitry Bivol - May 7 on: March 22, 2022, 04:17:17 PM
I am not sure if this fight will happen. Although boxing fans are looking ahead for this fight but Bivol is Russian. And there are many chances that like many other sports this match will be cancelled as well. But let's hope for the best. In today's time safety of everyone is important than entertainment.

This fight will go on as plan because of the amount of money involved here. The only thing that some of the people have concern about is the sanctioning of this fight because of Bivol being a Russian. Some don't want this to be a title fight, some want to cancel but the promoters is keen on proceeding whether there is a belt or none as long as Canelo can fulfill what is written on the contract.

More or less, the promoters have a roughly 7 weeks to somehow arrange the fight to its final setting either if it's sanctioned or not, and if there will be a belt at stake because that is one of the main reasons too why Canelo have moved again in this division where Bivol is the champion. Either way as of now, the fight will happen on its scheduled date but the details is not yet fixed if this fight will be sanctioned or not.
I have a feeling though (personal opinion), that this fight is going to proceed as schedule. Both camps seems to be quiet, indication that they are in a serious training already as they will have 7 weeks to go And as the fights gets closer, we will see promotions and face-off and media interviews. So lets see how it pan out, there are so many factors at stake that this fight can't be moved.

Yes, seems this fight will go as scheduled even if there's a threat of sanctions in the fight and as you said, both camps are silent so that's a possible good sign that they're not worried because the fight will still go through. Aside from that, we know that behind the scenes both camps are also working on the legal side. Let's just think positive for this two boxer.
1190  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Where do daytraders store their crypto? on: March 21, 2022, 01:33:15 PM
For day traders, they are more comfortable putting their bitcoin in exchanges because they open up orders that are waiting to be fufilled. That's why it's very important that we have a lot of reputable exchange in the space so they can minimize the risk by spreading the trade in different exchanges.

By the way, if you still remember, Binance has SAFU, so your funds are safe as long as it's covered to the insurance. (not sure about the complete terms)

That's all I know because I'm not a day trader personally, but I'd love to know if this idea are already outdated and we have a more safer and advance way to trade comfortably while not sacrificing safety.
1191  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: March 21, 2022, 12:25:44 PM
There's some twist that we're going to see on the next season of PBA. There's now a guest team that's going to play and this could be the start of PBA being open now with other guest teams in the future.
What can you say about this development? They're now starting to change and probably this is one of the factors that they can see to get back the solid fans of PBA.
Like what happened to Thirdy when he went to B-League, for sure this addition of teams from other countries will create a domino effect again thus there will be more teams outside PH that will join.

Nothing but positive news for this at least for me. The league is now open for more teams outside PH and with regards to audiences, I'm not pretty sure if this move by the management will make the people watch again live. Anyway, I'm excited to see more players playing in our national league. More teams = more competition and with this, MVP and SMC will not just simply dominate the league again like what they are doing.

Will it be like the ASEAN Basketball League like the Alab Pilipinas which represent the Philippines? I think that's also good but pure Filipino player is better as we can really see them improve and that's the work of the PBA. You know, in an international competition like FIBA, you cannot take the imports, so it's important that our local players will improve their skills and that is by giving them more playing time.
1192  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Dogecoin 🐕‍🦺 1$ possible in 2022 or not? on: March 21, 2022, 11:34:44 AM
~snip~
We don't know what's on it in the future, Elon could change his mind and stop shilling this coin and will make people stop talking and investing in it.
The future is uncertain mostly for the meme coins and that's why people should stop themselves glorifying these meme coins because in the end, it's going to be them that will find it hard to recover when they're about to get stuck in the midst of it.
My prediction is that he will stop shilling DOGE and will go for another coin, so our job now is to find that gem because if we still believe that Elon could still influence the market, then expect that we will again see a coin that will go to the moon. With that said, it only means that DOGE will die as investors will move their money to the new hype coin.
1193  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: March 21, 2022, 07:15:45 AM

Nuggets lose by 20 points, damn, I can't believe that, it's too much massacre for the Nuggets. I can't believe that the Celtics are this good, looks like they are so ready in the playoffs as they showed their consistency in the recent games.

Another great performance from the young Celtics,

They take this game from the home team in a very convincing win. That combo of Tatum and Brown are really hot
even the defense was great they are able to make a shot or rotate the ball to an open man.

The advantage of Boston is they are moving the ball so well, not just Tatum, but everyone is participating.
Much easier to find high percentage shots when everyone is moving even without the ball.

Exactly, they don't rely on one player only and Tatum has really matured to be the leader of the team. We can sure expect that they will have a great performance in the playoffs, they haven't been in the Finals yet but who knows, maybe this time around they'll be lucky.
1194  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: March 21, 2022, 06:43:11 AM
It'll be hard for anyone to make the case that LeBron isn't the GOAT after he passes Kareem on the all time scoring list.  Jordan will always be the ghost he's chasing though.  When it comes to Jordan, you have to remember the guy missed nearly 2 seasons in the middle of his prime, then retired early.  There is no doubt in my mind that if Jordan were chasing points instead of championships, he would have been the leading scorer (gambling controversy aside).

Seeing LeBron have great games and lose shows that the NBA is not only more competitive these days, but that LeBron isn't as far ahead of his competition as Jordan was.  Even Westbrook had a good game yesterday and they still lost...  Hate to see it.
Hmm... look, I believe that this difference is also related to the change in difficulties and in the styles that each player is.

The NBA in the past (70's, 80's, 90's) is totally different from the NBA we see today.

There are different styles of games, different difficulty levels among other attributes.
They were very fierce games and competitions and for me, the level of the players of the past, were superior to the players of today.
It's very different because the NBA now is becoming soft, players could easily make flop just to get a foul... before it's not a technique because it's a bad one. Before the game are very physical, that's why it's more exciting because we would mostly see players driving the ball to the ring.

I don't know yet, but for LeBron James to become the GOAT, he needs to have an extremely bigger impact on the team than Jordan had on the Chicago Bulls when he was in his prime.

Lebron is only good in numbers but as to impact, he cannot surpass Jordan's impact, or even Kobe.

If there's no official turnover or what they called it when a buyer sold a franchise, until the next conference, Alaska players will now be included in the upcoming draft pick in May. It's called "Special Draft" or something along those lines if I remember it right.

The question is, will all of them will be able to get drafted? if not, then those who are not selected will have to say goodbye to the PBA will probably look for an opportunity in the other league. They came from the PBA, for sure they'll be considered as valuable assets.
Not all of them will be drafted for sure, otherwise, the salary cap of a team won't be able to accommodate all the players.

I don't want to see that happen, so I just hope that there's a company we're able to Alaska's rights
Who would like to see it happen? Just be optimistic that the players will be saved from losing a team and someone who is interested will buy Alaska.
For now, we have no news yet on the latest development, let's just wait patiently.

I'm for the Magnolia Hotshots. If you want to bet for the Bolts to win this series, please reply to this post.

Same here. How about the Finals? we can make an advance bet if you want. You take the Magnolia, and I'll go with the Ginebra, if both teams will not advance, then the bet will void.. you like that? Smiley
1196  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Casimero vs Butler ordered by WBO on: March 20, 2022, 11:27:19 AM
Speaking of Casimero, seems the training of Quadro Alas is looking good so far and the team said that they are now 80 percent on his preparation against Butler.

Hopefully when the fight comes he will be in 100% so no excuses will be heard from him in case he will fail to defend his title.

He and Donaire are the popular champions in the Philippines for now, if Donaire will lose, it will only be him that will be left, therefore I expect that all the Filipinos will support him in case the anticipated fight between him and Inoue will come into reality.

1198  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: March 19, 2022, 02:10:42 PM

Now we are in the Semi-Finals already and look at the match-ups. Meralco Vs. Magnolia and Ginebra Vs. NLEX.
Anything new? Again its MVP Vs. SMC in the Semis and in the Finals, we will see them fighting for the championship or worse we might see a SMC vs. SMC team or MVP vs. MVP team in the Finals which I hope will not happen. My team SMB didn't enter the semis but I will still watch.

Meralco vs Ginebra in the Finals, would be a good Finals I guess. What do you think?

The last time I witnessed the Finals between Ginebra and Meralco, Durham was their import and I believe that the current import of Meralco is not better than Durham, so if they will face in the Finals, I'm sure Brownlee will take advantage of the match up.
1199  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Drake became partners of the Stake Casino on: March 19, 2022, 01:53:52 PM
We should expect Drake to mention or do some marketing for the Stake from now on. I'm just wondering if he will attempt to make sounds of Stake while watching the NBA like he's wearing a t-shirt of Stake etc.

We will know that in the playoffs, as we all know, he is in full support of the Toronto Raptors.
As of the current ranking, Raptors are in rank number 7, so they have a big chance to be in the playoffs again.
https://www.espn.com/nba/standings

It would be a big advertisement if Drake will wear a shirt of stake, I tell you, I would be happy with that because it promotes not only the gambling site but the crypto as a whole also.
1200  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Canelo Alvarez vs Dmitry Bivol - May 7 on: March 18, 2022, 05:48:48 PM
While you're true about that, I think we cannot take away Bivol's anxiousness towards his family because Russia is also in an imminent danger as the said country could be retaliated in any given time by other opposing countries who supports Ukraine and even if he's a professional boxer, he is still a normal human being. I'm just saying that everything is possible during the war.

Despite all these issues, I do also believe that this fight will belong to Canelo and Bivol here cannot possibly upset him, but if ever Bivol will then his career would be soaring high and Canelo will surely want a rematch.

It's undeniable that Canelo is the crowds favorite in this battle but I would like to give a hope to Dmitry Bivol to have a chance to ace this fight. I know how great fighter Canelo is and I believe Bivol could be a great opponent for this man. However, I am also hoping that whatever the current situation Russia was in now it may not fully affect the training preparation of Bivol for his upcoming fight. We truly cannot take away the anxious that Bivol's may felt because of the situation but he still needs to be professional and still need to prepare for this battle.

Of course, Bivol has a chance of beating Canelo, but you know, the crowd will favor the more popular boxer, and between the two it's Canelo who is more popular. I hope Bivol will take that as a challenge for him so he will be motivated to train hard and give his best in this coming fight. If Bivol will beat Canelo, he will make a headline in the world, so there's a big price waiting for him if he win.
