its a nice test attempt at creating a coin dev but really this is terrible.  you have a good working concept but you failed to execute it properly.  you need a design team and learn to code a little bit more and not just change a few variables in an existing coin.  you even failed to give us details on how this is any different from feathercoin.  if I was ftc I would sue.
1182  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] New Crypto Currency - GameCoin (GMC) on: May 12, 2013, 06:38:34 AM
WOW Nice website dude!

You used line breaks, and a string of text pointing to this thread!

I don't think we need a contest.  This guy is the victor.

hey its minimalist.  haven't you heard typography is all the rage right now is web development.

Okay... So we are all on the crypto train because the feds are fucking broke.  The paper money of the world is becomming worth shit. Some countrys choose to just print the shit out of it.  And the crypto in theory is worth more then the us dollar.  In one way or another that's the fact of the matter right? Along with safe anon handeling of said crypto. .. So why in the holy good fuck are we repeating history.  Supporting a new coin every day and in all basic sence of the rule printing more money then we have?

Fuck it just makes no solid sence to me

i personally support BTC, all those altcoin just tools to make myself richer. its like one night stand

be careful bitcoin doesn't find out.  she will put you on the curb.  lol
1184  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Fuck vol 1/2 on: May 12, 2013, 06:28:06 AM
it makes perfect sense.  bit coin is very valuable.  too valuable.  demand has outstripped its limited availability in the number of coins that can be circulated right now.  as a result you get tremendous price volatility.  if most bitcoin users horde their coins there is a small float in the markets, its easy for price to move up and down very quickly.  that makes for a bad currency.  so additional currencies were made that handle that issue.  well not very well.  a lot of them have been very poor in their execution.

of you notice a lot of the coins are reaching parity with bitcoin on the mining side.  that is helping suppress bitcoin prices and is indirectly stabilizing it's price.  until the alt coins get the right mix of liquidity, difficulty retargeting, mining rewards they will just keep coming.  lite coin has done very well but its going to be another bitcoin.  as bitcoin ramps up to higher levels over the years litecoin will be behind it and it too will be out of reach for some people as a currency.

the point is don't be greedy and horde bit coins.  move them into circulation.  make an economy.
1185  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [Q] Who are the old guard coin minters? on: May 12, 2013, 03:21:19 AM
ah thank you.  that helps a great deal.  not sure if I'll get ahold of them but it would be nice if I can figure something out from discussing their work with them.  thanks again.

1187  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / [Q] Who are the old guard coin minters? on: May 12, 2013, 02:26:43 AM
Does anyone know the usernames of the old coin makers or any of the old developers that contributed to the development of bitcoin, litecoin or any features that were introduced in any of the other coins.

I'd like to PM them some questions.  Mostly out of curiosity.  The code can only tell me so much.
1188  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Gigabyte 7950 - too many rejected shares after some time on: May 12, 2013, 12:32:41 AM
I told you the new Gigabytes are atrocious. You didn't listen. Enjoy the head aches to come.  Roll Eyes

I have many Gigabytes and while voltage locked I get about 600 to 650 each scrypt mining  they have served me well and do not have the same overheating issues of some of the other card I own.  They are great ofr scrypt mining but I prefer Sapphires for sha256.

franko.conf

rpcuser=del
rpcpassword=del
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1
rcpallowip=192.168.1.*
rpcport=8108
port=7912
daemon=1

1191  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] New Crypto Currency FRANKO on: May 11, 2013, 10:20:11 PM

1192  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: YAcoin Fear Mongering Campaign on: May 11, 2013, 02:02:10 PM
No problems here with the original client download

Why would anyone with hundreds of BTC who is downloading random new coins not have an encrypted wallet?  Makes no sense

1193  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin miners mean business on: May 11, 2013, 01:57:36 PM
I'd bet its a ruse to rile people to mine the next "bar" that was conveniently publicized yesterday by the "crypto marketing team" as "coming soon/in the works."
Is there such a thing as a cryptominer's strike.
We should unionise and only mine at union shops!!!
I'd like to see a new coin with no hashing.
Imagine, a brave new world of forum whining would come up.

it could be possible but would require closed source, distributed license keys for the miners, approved pools to mine from.  everything that cryptocurrency is not and everything the current financial system is.
1194  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Yacoin developer stole all my coins! :c on: May 11, 2013, 01:51:57 PM
fuck you.. i bet you are 1RPrtamTACe1TcqkX2FmWVtRzmQJ6CfRx

give me my coins back

Oh look another random jr. account. Hey there little guy!

We shouldn't completely discount random junior accounts.  There is the possibility or lurkers who are not on the forum but finally jumped on in a panic after seeing theft.  I'm not saying they are reputable but they should be mildly considered.
1195  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: YAcoin Fear Mongering Campaign on: May 11, 2013, 01:46:45 PM
I didn't think minerd was available at the time of the yakcoin launch?

this is one I found that was posted in an antivirus friendly yakcoin thread.

If it is causing it then, i doubt it was the yakcoin creator, just some scumbag that decided to create the miner and release it 'for the good of all'

agreed I think we can report the developer is not responsible for this but that some people may have been phished to install a new mining client and this was the result... if this is real and not FUD

Can someone reproduce this with the client from https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=201050.0 in a sandboxed environment??

working on it...  will be a while though
1198  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin miners mean business on: May 11, 2013, 01:29:36 PM
I doubt it.  but the yacoin panic is interesting to watch.

I think this is playing out nicely.  It is creating a sense of mistrust in new coins.  It will require developer of new coins to build a better trust foundation in their coins even if the want ot get rich quick on them.
1199  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: YAcoin Fear Mongering Campaign on: May 11, 2013, 01:25:47 PM
Yacoin.exe did not access my bitcoin wallet.dat. Checked with process monitor. Cannot replicate the issue.

I found another post where an antivirus friendly minerd was hosted on mega.  Can anyone confirm that this was where you downloaded rather than the other link
