11801  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Blockchain Wallet App Error on: September 04, 2018, 01:43:10 PM
I think the obvious first step would be to try with a different network to see if the issue is on the Blockchain server-side, your network, or your device.
11802  Other / Meta / Re: Bounty or signature campaign? on: September 04, 2018, 10:47:26 AM
If all you want is as many spammers as possible, without worrying about their post quality, a bounty should be enough (it's all there is in the Altcoin board).

If you're looking for real advertisement (you'll make sure to hire a campaign manager that will REALLY work, which means accept only HQ users and constantly check their posting quality), a signature campaign paying with BTC will be more effective. I would also suggest you filter some spammers out by requiring a few merits to apply.
11803  Economy / Reputation / Re: Possible Multi Account join in one single campaign on: September 04, 2018, 03:28:04 AM
1. Why create a new thread instead of moving your old one?
2. I can't see anything there. Their report text is literally different from each other. For example:

One of them uses this template at the top of his Twitter report:

Quote
Week 10 (24/08/2018  ----- 30/08/2018 )

Twitter campaign
Twitter URL: https://twitter.com/tonmoycryptop

While the other uses this one:

Quote
Week no 09
Twitter profile link:- https://twitter.com/manlost111

How are they the same? Also, even if it was the same, most people just copy someone's else post and change the links to their Twitter URL/Retweets/Likes. This can't be used as evidence to link two or more accounts.
11804  Other / Meta / Re: Request: add bitcointalk.TO to [phishing] list on: September 03, 2018, 11:40:21 PM
Is it possible for bitcointalk.org to purchase the domain to avoid getting phished? Or it will costs a fortune if you will buy another domain just for this reason?
The owner needs to agree on selling it. If - and only if - he wants to sell it, he can ask for any price he wants (even unrealistic prices).
11805  Other / Meta / Re: Request: add bitcointalk.TO to [phishing] list on: September 03, 2018, 11:05:08 PM
I don't think that domain is making an active effort to trick people into giving any kind of personal information. If you have evidence this site is trying to obtain some personal information via deception, you should post said evidence.

Bitcointalk.to appears to be a mirror of some sort, similar to the many other mirrors that are out there. Mirrors are useful in that they give people behind things like the GFW additional ways to access the forum, and its free flow of information.
+1

Just the fact that the captcha doesn't work in the login page kinda "proves" that phishing isn't the main focus of the website. In fact, maybe they don't even record logins (just don't try to login, maybe they do).

Also, wasn't the forum changing every mention to https://bitcointalk.to to https://bitcointalk.org ? What changed?
11806  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] ChipMixer.com - Bitcoin mixer / Bitcoin tumbler - mixing reinvented on: September 03, 2018, 07:32:36 PM
I do believe he may have had good intentions. It's just that a Newbie asking for a non-tech-savvy guy to talk with him in private (with $1600 on the line) sounds a bit fishy. And TBH, you created your account today just to post this, so red tagged or not, it's not like you lost any reputation here (you could just create a new account anyway).

My post was more like a warning about not giving his session token to some random guy.
11807  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin Real Question on: September 03, 2018, 05:48:35 PM
For what? Is "Bitcoin Real" an ICO? I never heard of this, so please... avoid giving your personal information (mainly passport, ID, bank statement) to unknown third-parties. Most of them are already a money-grab scam/scheme, so I doubt they will keep your data safe.

Instead of wasting time with obvious shitcoins, do some research and buy Bitcoin or at least a real and useful altcoin like Monero, ETH, NEO, etc...
11808  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Receive Notifications on Cryptocurrency Transfers (iOS and Android Devices) on: September 03, 2018, 04:58:20 PM
https://www.cryptotrendalert.com/ can do this. Browser based with email and push message notification.
For only $5 a month... Thanks, but no. I'll keep using Blockonomics and this app from OP.
11809  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] ChipMixer.com - Bitcoin mixer / Bitcoin tumbler - mixing reinvented on: September 03, 2018, 04:44:08 PM
Bro contact me by email art-nikoff[dog]yandex.com i will tell you what to do
Don't do this! The user may ask for your session token, which will allow him to steal your coins.

Either contact ChipMixer and wait for more instructions or share more details (what have you done exactly) so we can help you here.
11810  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 🔴🔴How to mine Sia Coin using graphic cards? | Beginner's guide🔥🔥 on: September 03, 2018, 03:00:15 AM
Can we do it with AMD rx series ?
You can. But CCMiner (the one used in the guide) only works with Nvidia cards. For AMD cards, you will either need to download SGMiner for Windows or GoMiner.

Those are the command line examples for each one of them:

./sgminer --algorithm=sia --url=stratum+tcp://us-east.siamining.com:3333 --userpass=YourSiacoinAddress.WorkerName -I 28
./gominer -url stratum+tcp://us-east.siamining.com:3333 -user YourSiacoinAddress.WorkerName

11811  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: [FREEBITCO.IN] Amount for disable captcha? on: September 03, 2018, 01:41:11 AM
Is also possible in freedoge.co.in?
I can't confirm if this feature is also available on FreeDogecoin, but it's most likely possible since they are owned by the same person.
11812  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Chrome Plugin Developer's Input needed on: September 02, 2018, 06:20:07 PM
Can something like this be coded on the plugin? Also, how much will it cost to code this out?
Yes. You can make your extension ask permission to read and modify any page or pages of a specific website (e.g: *.bitcointalk.org/*).

It shouldn't cost too much since looks like something simple. I would do it for you but my JS is quite bad.
11813  Other / Meta / Re: I've just awarded this guy with 3 merits on: September 02, 2018, 04:40:56 PM
Edit: and looks like he is plagiarist... sad, but expected from someone who only created an account here to join signature campaigns and bounties.

Yes, his post history is considerably better (but still not enough) than the average member of this forum. Whoever, there are a few things I dislike about him.

1. His posts are ok. A lot better than most you will find in the board he posts the most. But still, he is making a lot of them in now Spam Mega Threads, which is why he didn't get any merit so far. Most of his posts seem to be well developed (at least more than the average post in SMT's), which means that he thought/researched a bit before doing them. But I didn't see anything special about them.

Examples:

Montero is a cryptocurrency aimed at the safety of personal data using the CryptoNote Protocol. Monero can be put on a par with such coins as Dash, AnonCoin and LibertyCoin – all of them are fighting for maximum anonymity of transactions.
CryptoNote represents a unique code and is not a fork of bitcoin. CryptoNote uses ring signatures to hide personal data along with untraceable transactions, which is achieved by using one-time keys for each individual transaction.
CryptoNote should not be confused with CoinJoin. Although both technologies are designed to preserve user anonymity, these are two completely different implementations.
This coin is worthy of attention and certainly you can invest in it.
His post in the thread "Is Monero a Good Investment" is okayish. But he posted it on page 46 of a now infested SMT. Did he really need to write this post? Let's be real. No one is going to read his post and I'm pretty sure at least a few users already explained what's the big deal with Monero in one of the previous 45 pages.

My top 5 altcoins that are worth to keep the year and they will bring you a huge profit
1. Wanchain (Blockchain)
Wanchain aims to create a new distributed financial infrastructure by connecting various blockchain networks together to exchange value.
2. Network Ontologies (Blockchain Services )
Ontology Network is a network of the blockchain / distributed ledger, which brings together distributed authentication, data exchange, cooperation, data, protocols, procedures, community, certification and various industry modules
3. Fusion (Blockchain)
Fusion is a public blockchain dedicated to creating an open cryptofinancial platform, providing cross-chain, cross and cross-source data for smart contracts.
4. MatrixChain (Blockchain)
MATRIX is an open source blockchain platform that supports smart contracts and machine learning services. Thanks to its infrastructure, recreated using artificial intelligence (AI) techniques, MATRIX revolutionizes the user experience of smart contracts, making the whole process faster, easier and safer
5. EOS (Blockchain)
The most powerful infrastructure for Decentralized applications
His post in the thread "Top 5 altcoin for longterm" on page 85 of a now infested SMT.

And the worst part (IMO) is that this is his first post:

Thread: Can newbie do signature campaigns?
After what time can I participate in the signature company tell me? Does anyone have a link to the table by the time they are in each rank?
He's not here for the right reasons.

And there are a few more like those. Again: he looks considerably better than the average user that just spams nonsenses and should be nuked. But I wouldn't say this is the kind of user the forum needs.
11814  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Books to help you learn about bitcoin. on: September 02, 2018, 04:24:20 PM
No mention of Mastering Bitcoin by Andreas Antonopoulos?
11815  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How Do Telegram PUMP GROUPS Scam Their Participants (INFOGRAPHICS) on: September 02, 2018, 04:12:58 PM
I think it is hilarious that they are literally called "pump-and-dump" groups and people still follow them.
It's all about greed... You can profit a lot if you manage to buy before the pump and sell before the dump. The people who fall for this are the same ones who "invest" in those magical doublers and "trading bots" that generate 20% profit a day. If you manage to invest in the top of the pyramid, good for you... It not, bye bye money.
11816  Bitcoin / Mycelium / Re: Copying the mobile receiving address from you computer. on: September 02, 2018, 03:00:27 PM
My concern is if I mistype it, although I suppose it is very difficult that the mistyping matched a different address, in which case I suppose the transaction never goes out.
That's true. Just check the first and last 4 characters and it's pretty impossible to send it to the wrong address. And if you miss something, all it will do is say "invalid address".

You could also copy the address, send it to yourself via Telegram/Messenger/etc... and copy it in your computer (not the best solution if you are paranoid about your privacy)
11817  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: John Mcafee & Bitfi launch the first 'unhackable' hardware wallet on: September 01, 2018, 05:35:45 PM
I don't really see why anyone needs to travel anywhere since there's this new thing out called the internet but there you go.
Probably because he wants him to hack his personal device (loaded with $20 mil). Anyways, I wouldn't travel to McAfee's house to humiliate him + pocket $20 mil (or even $100 mil) knowing what he is capable of doing[1].
that guy is crazy...

11818  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: what is going on with testnet? Neither faucet works. on: September 01, 2018, 03:16:10 PM
You already received more than 2 tBTC in your address. The problem is that they didn't confirm yet (for some reason).
11819  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: ledger nano s very confusing . on: September 01, 2018, 02:25:16 AM
Are you using the Chrome webapps? Or the desktop Ledger Live app?
Ledger Live most likely. The Chrome web app doesn't tell you to "navigate to the dashboard". Also, there is a big warning telling you to download the new all-in-one app when you open the old apps, so I doubt OP would just skip it and keep using the old version.
11820  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: ledger nano s very confusing . on: August 31, 2018, 11:42:29 PM
Then follow the procedure here to update it to the latest version if it still doesn't work https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BDX0gEkpPkA
He can't even get through the first steps to set up the Trezor, so he can't access the page that updates the firmware.

What's your OS? Did you try this with a different USB cable? Try to install the old Ledger Manager chrome app, open it and update your firmware from there.
