11841  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can trading be considered as gambling?? on: January 14, 2017, 01:41:01 PM
I want to know what you guys think about this, I have stopped gambling but still trade so does this mean I am still gambling?? I don't trade on basis of luck I trade using my skills would it still be considered gambling??

Please tell me what do you think.

For me trading is not considered as gambling in trading you need yourself to be educated to make the right decision and place the odds in your favor. There are no element of randomness in trading, you can be pretty sure that they're not gambling away huge amounts of money every day at random. a lot of individual traders, make consistent profits from trading.

Djokovic beats Murray in past Week. Will he do it again in Melbourne?

I will still go for Djokovic to win AO. Although Murray will be the top seed going to AO, and has the momentum but Djokovic is the defending champion and I think we will defend his title again this year. I'm also predicting  that Murray will not past the QF.

Gr. Dimitrov took a title in ATP250 for first time in 2 years, beating in his road to the final World N13, 8 and 3. Will he bring some surprise here?

He has the potential and the talent to be a top player, but he needs to be consistent. I dont think he will bring any surprises yet.

Also I will appreciate any advice on Women tennis, as this is my weak zone!

Serena. I think she has something to prove after losing the no. 1 spot.
11843  Other / Archival / Re: Which one is more risky? Skill-based gambling or trading? on: January 13, 2017, 08:07:50 AM
Skill based gambling for me is more riskier. While there is also a risk factor in trading, we are not totally in the dark. There are "tools" or fundamental analysis that can help you eliminate the risk as possible.  Trading is not about luck, you can watch and analyze the market and keep an eye on it and based on your studies make your move.

11844  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The reason why people do not get Bitcoin. on: January 13, 2017, 05:38:01 AM
i think that people don't know about bitcoin because there is a few place that introduce bitcoin into public and people still thinking that bitcoin is just a part of internet and maybe they don't know that bitcoin can be a way for them to make money. the other reason is they don't care about bitcoin and they don't think that bitcoin is new technology that will helped them to make money.

I think awareness about bitcoin is gaining ground, but in a negative way. People are talking about "bitcoin being used in underground such as drug dealing and gambling. Bitcoin is notorious for not being connected to "good news".

11845  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Money laundering via BTC on: January 13, 2017, 05:12:48 AM
Is it possible to do money laundering via bitcoin? I mean as no one knows if you have bitcoin and how much bitcoin do you actually own, it could be used to convert black money to white right? Or at least store your black money without much hassle. But there is the risk of its value but I think for people who have lots of black money and don't want to be caught, this risk might be worth taking for them isn't it?
What are your thoughts?

It is not just bitcoin you can launder. Laundering is nothing new. It just feels easier because we can do it from the comfort of our home on the pc/mobile. Outside the virtual world you would launder your money by buying and selling assets and dilute the money down that way. So instead of buying an expensive painting to hide your black money you can buy bitcoin and launder it. Also you can use the stock market just like you can a bitcoin exchange. The stock market uses fiat though.

Bitcoin is un-regulated as well, so it is very easily and readily available to launder to anyone. Perhaps a lot of criminals are using btc now as tool to launder. And in today world, money laundering is not just cash, you could have money offshore that you want to move. You can just buy bitcoins and transfer them to a any country that you like.

11846  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling should be considered as a Sickness!! on: January 12, 2017, 05:51:29 AM
Gambling is indeed a real sickness if you are asking me because it something that is done by a lot of people these days, they lose everything.

Plus gambling nowadays is accessible to everyone. You just need a internet connection or a phone and then you can play, easy as that.

Yes there is no restriction on who can gamble because those gambling sites are allowing even teens to gamble. And as we know, most of the addicted gamblers are in young age and that's why at early stage of their life they are already diagnosed not with any disease but with addiction which are being considered by many as a mental sickness.
the point is when an addiction to gambling can turn to something like a sickness.

when you gamble excessively causing a lot of problem and break some relationship on people around you , i think it is enough to call someone have gamble beyond normal limits, that time you can say gambling as a sickness.

Yes that is making gambling as a headache to other people because of the gambler or person involved is not aware that he is doing it very much and he gambles more than ever than he did. Focusing on gambling and he is not thinking about of some other important things which is making him as a sicked person in gambling.

If gambling  dominates your thoughts and become number your no. 1 priority in life, , it is an addiction. However, addiction of any sort is a disease more than a bad habit. Determining the line between the two can be tricky. It 's like a virus that sickens our bodies. From this perspective, addictive gambling is a disease.
11847  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do you know when to stop? on: January 12, 2017, 04:38:56 AM
When do you stop? Do you have a daily limit or something?

It is a very bad idea to set daily limits either for trading, investments etc it is not possible every time in trading because some time our assumption will Leeds to loss. So it is false idea to keep some limits in this industry we don't know when will the price increase we have to move according to the market.
to me i think setting a daily limit is a good idea because it prevent you from losing your money at once and give you chance to save your remaining money by investing in gambling and i think same will be the case in grading and investment.

If I may add, setting a limit boils down to 2 factors. Money and Time. You decide how much time you can afford to spend gambling. When you reach that time limit, stop gambling. Decide how much money you can afford to lose before going to casino or playing onllne bet. when you have lost that amount of money, then go home.
11848  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do you know when to stop? on: January 11, 2017, 06:29:30 PM
When do you stop? Do you have a daily limit or something?

The best way to stop are limit your gambling capital and time to play.
Many people do the same thing, don't try to recover loss if the capital is gone.
If you win or at least double your funds than stop it, you're lucky enough to get those profits.
very easy to give suggestions but very difficult to apply. it is the nature of the human that when they lose then they decide that next time he will not try become greedy and will never overcome his well over him but when when he start playing for next time he again lose all his porpoises and continue playing gamblng tell loosing his all money again.
Yeah that is a right point but that type of thing happen to those people who are not very addicted to gambling and are new to addiction and those people who are fully addicted to gambling love to gambling and they do not promise that they will not gamble but they say that it is a good place.
I disagree those which are addicted to gambling will not have such a positive attitude because at some point they realize the amount of money they are losing and that the people they love are getting away from them.

It will be too late for a gambler to realize that their love ones are getting away because of his addiction to gambling, He doesn't care if they have food on the table or house to slept in.
11849  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC 207: Rousey vs Nunes Prediction and Info Thread on: January 11, 2017, 06:10:58 PM
I think Rousey's problem is more mental than technical.  We can all blame her coach, her whole team or whoever.  But bottom line she shouldn't have taken this fight.  Nunes is expected to be a high level fighter, so Rousey should have had a tune up fight first before going for the championship.  It would be better for her mentally and her confidence.
Well if she is starting to quote Rowlings for inspiration then you know a screw is loose somewhere after getting knocked out.
http://yahoo.com/sports/news/ronda-rousey-posts-j-k-rowling-inspired-quote-on-instagram-cyborg-responds-010002720.html

Or she is saying that she is not retiring and I hope she continues on. She is good for the sport and it will make things more interesting in the UFC if she is still around. My only wish is to see her in a good training camp the next time she decides to fight. I speculate she will be in the training camp of Jon Jones soon.

Do you think its time for her to change camp? or just add Jon Jones in it?
11850  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: January 11, 2017, 06:02:44 PM
It is an intense match.
It looked like Djoker was going to take it with 5-3 in the third set but now Muarry is creating pressure for him and making it 40-0 in the 5-4.
Who knows who will win this one.
Come on NOLE!
Watch match rest of match here if you want: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pCuMLUgc4xA  Grin
Actually Djokovic played relatively well in that match ( if someone doesn't know he has won the match ) if you see and compare with the match he played against Verdasco then you will find that Djokovic played terrible and at a time Verdasco had 5 match points. Anyways hope he has a terrific 2017 as he has started great already.

Yeah, I watched the match between Djokovic and Verdasco and it was really intense  Grin. Now, Djokovic and Murray has set the bar for 2017. Djokovic started the year with a win over the no. 1 Murray. I think Djokovic wants to reclaim the no. 1 spot but it will not be easy. Both of them have something to prove,
11851  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2016/17 NBA Season on: January 11, 2017, 05:44:01 PM
I don't know but having Kyle Korver in Cleveland Cavaliers make the team shit. I expectect not only me also too many in the facebook that expecting that the Cleveland Cavaliers are now the Super Team. But see what happen tonight? Also with the Spurs on current no.1 in power ranking.

It's the first game of Korver with Cleveland Cavaliers uniform, let's give him some time to have the chemistry, in fact I do not put my bet with the Cavaliers tonight because I feel the line was a trap. I'm pretty sure the public loses tonight, who would not take the Cleveland Cavaliers with only -1.5 to win the game? Please tell me if some of you here fall for it.. Grin
Kyle Korver the second best 3 point shooter in the NBA after Stephen Curry. I think that's the problem, Cavaliers not really good place for him, GSW is the place, but he in the Cavaliers shirt now, so there will be lot of question to be ask in the future. This is just his first debut and the result is not too optimistic.
+1, I'm also fell into trap in this game.
Korver is a great shooter. He will help out the way Ray Allen did with the Heat at crunch times. Very reliable shooter and definitely someone you can bank on when LBJ is double-teamed. Probably will take some time to gel with the team and make plays accordingly. It was Jazz home yesterday and they played well so, It's not a big upset but definitely not something ppl were expecting.

Kyle Korver's addition to the Cavs was a great move. He is a great shooter and probably play a role like Ray Allen did.It will also add depth to the team. However, I think it didn't address some of the loopholes on Cavs, a backup for Irving.
11852  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Everyone looses in the long run on: January 11, 2017, 05:33:50 PM
I dont see why people keep risking their bitcoins into gambling knowing they will loose their coins into the short medium or long time, i do understand that be able to make extra bitcoins sound amazing, but the reality is another, we tend to loose money.

Exactly. But some people think they can make more Bitcoins through gambling and justify their gambling addiction by that. What a catastrophic mistake! How many times they have been told that one can't earn from gambling and still they stick to that stupid idea.

Well there are different types of gamblers. But most of the gamblers that looses in the long run are the impulsive one. Those are the one who lost control and don't know when to stop. While the expert or the professional who make gambling as a living. They patiently wait for the best bet and then try to win as much as they can.
11853  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you use Cashback or bonuses? on: January 11, 2017, 02:40:57 PM
Always go for cashback. You want to minimize your losses in the long run, and cashback helps with this as it reduces the amount you lost and gives you some additional bankroll again when the payout happens.

Bonusses are nice, but the end result is often that you lose it before you reach the minimum bet amount to release it for withdrawel.

Cashback is more appealing, because  cashback is a nice way of recouping and generally gives about 20% of what you have lose. so it is a win-win for the gambler. But be aware and inform about cashback, because some of them if not all have hidden charges and restrictions.

11854  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Features of a dice game on: January 11, 2017, 07:38:50 AM
Casback after a loss, I have never experienced, it will be unique feature when the gamblers mostly loss and they can get cashback for every bet loss.

I also voted fo Cashback as well, so you can recoupe your losses but there should be no hidden charges or retrictions. If there is one, make sure that they are all aware of it before they take the Cashback.
11855  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If money would not be a problem, would you still gamble? on: January 11, 2017, 07:19:20 AM
Well, it depends on the situation. maybe for some people will still do it, or even do not quit it. in a real gambling games, you can bet whatever you have, even money is no longer an issue. I think many people are going to gamble, even when money is no longer the main point of the game.

I agree with you. People gamble not for the financials heck even smart people love to gamble why? by simple how good you feel when you gamble.
There’s something in a wager that brings you value, beyond simple expected utility of wealth. Even losing becomes more fun when you can stand back and amaze at why you took the risk in the first place.
11856  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Anyone ever stop gambling? but then gamble again? on: January 11, 2017, 07:09:08 AM
Always Smiley Some people stop because they want to stop gambling, but they stop due to not enough money to cover their gambling. so mostly they wait for their payday then comes back again Smiley
That could be one of the reasons too. Myself, i was stopped from gambling due to my real job. I don't have enough time to gamble and then it stopped my gambling activity and i'd like to spend my money to other else besides gamble too. Now, I gamble again but when i really have some spare time.

As long as one is gambling vocationally for fun, it should be Ok even after they restart gambling. But if one come back to gambling to make more money then it is a dangerous thing to do because they may end up losing more money instead of making it. Because I saw somewhere on internet one guy mentioned that he had restarted gambling because he wanted some urgent money, that is a very bad thing to do.

I stopped gambling when I don't have the money  Grin but when I have some, I intuitive go back again. I want to stay in action as long as possible.
But since I have a steady job right now, I usually do it on weekends occasionally or with friends and families. I also realized that I'm an ineffective gambler so I don't gamble as I used to.
11857  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If today was your last day, would you gamble everything? on: January 10, 2017, 11:18:23 PM
No, I will not gamble especially during my last day of my life. I would rather have the money give it to my family members and close friends have fun with them and say goodbye....
11858  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do you know when to stop? on: January 10, 2017, 11:12:26 PM
That is normal, most of us just stop when we already lose everything and don't have nothing to bet for. And I guess if there is no need to play for fun, just stop also or you are just going to waste your money at it.

Some people stop when they have made profit although it is actually quite rare for someone to quit while he is ahead. The most important thing is not to stop but rather to be aware of your own bankroll, you dont want to lose everything in one game and move on to be a beggar for the rest of your life for sure

It is the right time to stop gambling when we already have some good profit. Because if you are not going to quit for having good amount of profit already then it is just going to be returned to the house again and there are also chances that everything you have will lose too. Just stop already if you think that gambling is not good for your life.

I don't think gamblers will stop or quit gambling while they are ahead. After a big win, your attitude changes and you expect to do better. Almost everybody who gambles wins sometimes that why it is fun, but few people, even people who've had a big win, walk out of a casino with more money than they came in with.

11859  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Where and which part of day do you gamble? on: January 10, 2017, 10:43:29 PM
Hi guys!
Many casinos have mobile friendly GUI and nowadays you can gamble and place your bets literally from anywhere and anytime you want to. So my question is simple. Where and when do you usually game? Do you ever gamble at work or your home? Is there any specific part of the day (week) when do you gamble?? Why? Do you think there is some ideal place and time?
Feel free to discuss and let us know Smiley)

I usually gamble whenever I like Grin, generally after work and at home. But I mostly do it with family members or friends especially weekends because that is the time where most of them are free. We usually go to casinos play slots and card game. We even played when my mother in law had her birthday, and sure thing she got lucky and won big  Grin we had fun and everybody was so happy going home.
11860  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: do you can control your self when playing gambling? on: January 10, 2017, 10:31:50 PM
a very difficult course. we have a high emotional to earn money. certainly play gambling is a very difficult thing. it is difficult to control.

Yeah emotions are at their peak when we are gambling but the only way to control is strictly make a rule to your own self that I will not gamble when I loose more than what i deposit and deposit only what you feel is extra or worth risking.

Yeah I think most gamblers start out that way though the outcome is different for people. There are people who can firmly stay with their resolve and stop gambling even if they are enjoying themselves, there are others that allow themselves to be swayed by emotions and these are the people that most of the time get addicted in the long run and are prone to the negative effects of gambling.

Indeed. gamblers have different perspective and attitude towards gambling. Some can control themselves whether they win or lose they know how to stop. Same like I do, I'm afraid to risks my winnings because I have the feeling that in the end or in the long run I will lose my money. Just want to play safe and enjoy gambling a little bit.

Emotions are gamblers worst enemy. At the beginning, you feel lucky and won big and you think it will last forever. And then the system will take over that so can't control it and your patience having come to an end greed take over yourself and you try to chase all your losses.
