Anybody had any luck sourcing the old 2400w server PSU recently? Or any reliable sellers of the 1200w platinums?
I picked up a ton of them on ebay just to test out and use as replacements/standby's . They are very abundant .

thier software was junk, after taking a week to plot 9tb i could never get it to mine the ui would say its gpu or cpu mining but never showed up on the pool
maybe it’s better now , this was four or five months ago. I still got a box of brand new 5gb drives laying around smh
Oh god... why do i have the feeling I'm going to have cases of Hard drives boxed up and sitting on a storage rack lol... getting scared now hahahaha Should have done a proof of concept first, but alas, I jumped head first into a potentially empty pool. I've got 12x 8tb running for 2 years on my main PC. For plotting are you using the GPU plotter, because it's way faster than CPU. It's also quite tedious to setup, you gotta count the nounces per drive, make sure the plot size is a multiple of stagger size etc. An rx 480 8gb can plot 2 x 8tb drives in parallel without bottlenecks in 14-15hrs. Then it takes another 14-15hrs to optimize the plots to another drive. If you are using usb splitters, limit 10 drives max per splitter. Because usb 3.0 is 5gbps, and you want to read at the max speed of 500mb/s per drive. Imagine if you have 100 drives, gonna take forever lol Thanks for the info guys - Only 50 drives Kayden ... not looking forward to it now though .. but it'll give me something to do at the office... until I pull all my hair out at least lol. Wonder if I should retask a couple 1080 Ti Rigs for plotting. Maybe even throw 30TB on each machine split it up between 10 of them ... oh man... now I need a drink!

So from what I understand the best option is to run a 4 wire cable with the appropriate receptacle for 220v ?
Note that I intend to use a 20 amp PDU for my rigs
I wouldn't say best. I'd say unnecessary. Either way the goal is to just get it done, so have him do it any way you feel best about.

Hey guys,
So I just had an electrician coming at home to quote for a 220v circuit installation He asked me if my power supplies will require neutral, does anybody know more about this as I did a quick search and I'm still confused about it
Thanks
220 doesn't use neutral. Fire his ass now and get someone that's at least semi competent Not necessarily... The current NEMA standard in North America is 4-wire for 220 (aka 230 or 240), and the neutral can be used for 120V loads. See, for example, NEMA 14-30 or 14-50. exactly. the only reason for neutral is for 120.

As usual, Australia is late to the party. You can still buy 1070ti for $500USD here, I just picked up 5.
For .au pricing in these current conditions, that's good value.
How much u wanna charge to ship 10 of them my way lol

tell us how the burst works out i had 30tb in drives trying it out but gave up.
must be nice to be near maxed out , im only at 20 percent cap
Heck no it's not nice lol. Means I need another spot because my electric panel is only 200A which sucks balls lol. Why did you give up on it? I haven't even tried plotting or setting up anything yet just dove in and ordered a bunch of drives. Probably getting myself into more than I can chew, but figure why not. Gives me something to do

Where are you buying new cards, guys? I checked both newegg and microcenter. At newegg, there are only crazy prices starting with $950-1000 for 1070 and there is literally nothing at Microcenter.
Hell, I checked 3 different Best Buys in the Tampa area yesterday and all I found was a single RX 560 (which I bought, though felt kind of stupid for doing so). Worse, though, is that there was an empty box for a GTX 1080 that said "Purchase at register" so I took the box to the register only to find out that, nope, they are out of stock. Le sigh... yeah my local micocenter has been bare for weeks, pretty much standing pat, im not paying $600 for an rx 580 or $900 for a1070ti which is why im selling my exces 8 gpu motherboards this is so anoying, i passed on buying cards back in dec thinking they were too pricy smh lol i hear you marvel - i didn't pass up, i was just procrastinating and then when i finally came around to it wasn't able to get as many as i could. I'm pretty much at max capacity now though, might be able to add a couple here and there but I'll just call it a day and say I'm maxed out. I have about 300 TB in HDDs coming so I'll try burst out for shits n giggles.

The same coin you'd mine with 1 GPU you'd mine with 1000 GPU's.

Hey there fam - I'm pretty anal when it comes to my ... well... actually everything in general.
I'm not a coder and currently what I do is have a spreadsheet and calculate all pool stats every 12 hours so I can break it down per Mh/s or Sol/s whatever my earnings per hash
Just wondering if anyone has developed a script that would make this easier.
It's not a huge deal, as I already have the spreadsheet and just have to MANUALLY copy/pasta the earnings and what my hashrate was on the pool, just wondering if anyone has automated this process yet - which COME ON - I know SOMEONE has to have done it I can't be the only one that is like this.
Thanks guys n gals!

I pay $0.213 per kWh which is further subsidized by my solar generation;
51% compared to not having solar ($19.20 daily vs $37.48) 30% compared to exporting all solar ($19.20 daily vs $27.00) (this is the true saving)
Pretty good savings. Since it's winter now our panels are only producing around 20kw/day, summer was around 40 kw/hrs/day which wasn't shit considering I was burning through roughly 200 kw/day. What do you have, 40 KW in panels? That's a pretty big savings per day Southern hemisphere here - so it's summer I have 21.6kW of panels on a 20kW fronius inverter and average these numbers; Total use: 141kWh Grid use: 84kWh Solar use: 57kWh Solar gen: 82kWh Solar export: 25kWh that's awesome! i wish it were summer all year long ... wait... no i don't. . . i hate heat... but i also hate how low my solar production is right now lol

is your problem resolved? I also have trouble installing windows 10 64 bit on that MB, the system does not detect USB to install windows, can anybody help?
Try a different USB port - some mobo's have trouble reading from USB 3.0 don't know why that is. Also hit F11 or whatever your boot menu is to see if it can detect the drive. If it didn't, try another port till it does, if it doesn't back to step one, create a new boot, repeat, still an issue try a different thumbdrive.

It's getting close to that as I have 25 of them running.
I really want to do what you do with your shop-lot fit-outs. But how do you overcome issues of trust? And local mafia types? My house is full of rigs with nowhere to expand ;( Just be glad you're electric is cheap enough to warrant you maxing out your house. I had to move into a warehouse because electric was just absurd @ $0.32/Kw/hr Now that you're maxed out, you can actually decide to expand to a second location or not to. But you have choices buddy, you've got good choices. I’m glad I could help! I've found that the temperature falls pretty fast (within about 5-10 seconds). I’d suggest putting a timer before automatically restarting… or some feature that allows you to stop the auto-restart. It’s really annoying when I stop the miner for some rig maintenance, then the darn thing automatically reboots! If you’re looking for information on how to send a text from a batch file, I found this article helpful. https://blog.frogslayer.com/sending-an-email-through-google-smtp-via-windows-command-line/One more thing I’ve found to help improve my uptime is the ability to reboot my rig from my phone when it’s totally hung up and I’m not home. A device similar to “Z-Wave Plus Wireless Smart Lighting Control Appliance Module” ($40 Amazon) is very helpful! Using that with TeamViewer on my phone really helps me monitor/control the health of my rigs. Yes I put 30 seconds before it restarts the rig and in addition I check the internet connection, if it is lost I don't want the rig loop restart. I have similar device, if it lags i force restart, there is also usb watchdog do the same automatically i will test. The email send maybe will be the long part to configure but for now i am pretty happy. Issue I was having is these scripts don't work if the entire rig freezes so you 100% need a smart plug or another way to remote reboot the actual PSU
