no one can answer that but you
why post such a stupid topic? visit whattomine or any of the 10000's other sites that have this information for you
you already own some of the cards and you dont know if they make you money? this is retarded
Why do you think this is a stupid question. Why you are attacking me ? I have bought it few days ago , but I just felt some difficulties. That's why . Why your attitude is so negative ? Be positive here. Everyone might not have knowledge like you. It is kind of a stupid question. There's plenty of resources out there. Search here, google, youtube - do some sort of research on your own. It's half the fun. Yes, Vegas will do 44+ on ETH. There's also ways to address your power concerns. But since its the lords day, here's some light reading to get you started. I'd encourage you to read through the following threads/guides: vega.miningguides.com Vega thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2002025.0Cast thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2256917.0Also reddit - https://www.reddit.com/r/MoneroMining/comments/74hjqn/monero_and_vega_the_definitive_guide/

I probably missed it, but I didn't see this coming. Any idea/feedback about Monero-fork, MoveroV? https://monerov.org/Do they have ponies in their team? I don't invest in altcoin projects with no ponies in them. And it should be fluffy and a serious drinker of wine made from grapes picked by virgins under the light of a blue moon. LOL! I'm also looking at who are the team members behind this fork. If we cannot learn about them, then they're doing a great job on privacy. I thought the exact same thing as I looked at it this morning. At least tell me a little about who's forking it...

Does cast miner supports payment ID if yes how to enter it as i know it is highly recommended to use it as an added authenticity. Please help.
Didn't you start a whole thread about how you're mining straight to Kraken? Which uses integrated payment id. If you click help/getting started on your pools website, it should give you examples. Generally, it's Wallet_Address.Payment_ID
|
|
|
I'd have to check but I believe Kraken uses integrated payment id's for Monero - your deposit address via kraken should be a little bit longer.
You should probably google around real quick to make sure - if they do, then you won't need a payment id. Leave it blank

So, if I point a miner at a nicehash server...what do I use as the username? I guess that's what I don't understand. I thought you had to use their stupid application.
Okay, this is simple nicehash FAQ on their website stuff. Little shocked this is the second time I've posted this today but mining is booming I guess... Make sure you research nicehash to see if that's the right service for you. Depending on your goals, it may or may not be the best service. Remember, there is a reason why people are paying for hashing power. Here's a list of pools: https://www.nicehash.com/help/which-stratum-servers-are-availableTheir FAQ/Help sections are pretty good. Essentially, you just point your miner to the appropriate nicehash pool and use the nicehash generated address from your account as your username.

I have a few thousand cards that run around 70c all day long. That is nowhere near the thermal limit and they will run for a long long time like that. I wouldnt worry about temps at all until they are breaking 80c
Agreed. Below 80c is fine for almost every card. However, we've found that Vega's will throttle when HBM gets too hot - even in the 70's can sometimes impact performance. Crazy, but it happens with these finicky cards was all I was trying to point out.

Just curious why y'all would want to add this miner to nicehash legacy versus just using the miner and pointing it to a nicehash pool?
Or are you simply building out nicehash legacy with your preferred miners and still letting it manage profit switching?
You might be able to help me there: I simply do not know how to mine differently. Yes: Nicehash is great for profit switching, but it the rates of hsrminer are real then it's better than anything else out there. So how do I point "to a nicehash pool" in such a way that nicepool recognises me? Make sure you research nicehash to see if that's the right service for you. Depending on your goals, it may or may not be the best service. Here's a list of pools: https://www.nicehash.com/help/which-stratum-servers-are-availableTheir FAQ is pretty good. is this a comparison or did you add this miner to the nicehash? Added to the Nicehash. 1) Renamed hsrminer_neoscrypt_test.exe --> ccmimer.exe 2) Replaced ccmimer.exe in the folder \bin\ccminer_tpruvot 3) In file General.json changed "ApiBindPortPoolStart": 4000 --> 4001 PS: Sorry for my bad english I am now unable to get it to start at 4001. Despite having 4001 in General.json, it starts at 4002, 4003, etc... Just curious why y'all would want to add this miner to nicehash legacy versus just using the miner and pointing it to a nicehash pool? Or are you simply building out nicehash legacy with your preferred miners and still letting it manage profit switching?

There's a reason some guys here are starting to thin out their farms and sell gpus
Was just looking at my local retailers website and while there is stock - the dang prices...
I recognize that website Check out the link on the product that says "see store for BYO discounts on this product" Microcenter has held to MSRP on gpus for a while now. You just had to be there when they put the gpu on the shelf for the week to get any, resulting in them constantly not having any stock. I think this now pricing on the cards is akin to what newegg is doing now with the 'free monitor' when you buy this product. Microcenter says 'see store manager for best price on this product'. I think that a visit to your store could result in a price quite a bit under what is advertised. I've talked to my local store about this discount. They wouldn't even discuss it unless I was purchasing 5 core components (mobo/cpu/ram/psu/ssd) or 4 core components plus monitor. I even threw out the idea of buying two new monitors and a new gpu or two to upgrade my personal setup to 1440p and they said it didn't qualify currently. I don't fully blame them. I understand the demand and why they are focusing the discount to people who are wanting to do a new build. The prices in general are just hard to watch sometimes. Oh noooo, you showed proof that a gtx 1080 ti is being sold for $1500, the idiots here will say that is a lie even if you showed proof, they will say here that they can get them for $650 a piece hehe, rx 580 is being sold for $800 and they will say they can get them for $200 hehe. Trolls are such varan creatures hehe
The prices are real. Of course, it's not just gpus. I was looking for another ledger the other day and the only authorized retailers that had stock were selling $200+

Hi. this is a little off subject. But i was wondering what kind of internet service you have, since it seems that your living in a remote area? fiber optic cable, satellite, phone service?
On topic! The rural county that I live in started offering fiber based internet service about 3 years ago to help develop and attract businesses. I got together with my homeowners association (16 of us, each with decent sized lots ranging from 6 to 200 acres) and worked out a deal with the county to bring in fiber. Cost of construction was about $50,000 which the county subsidized so the cost to the homeowners was only 50% of that, and they let us pay it back over 5 years at 0% interest. All but one homeowner signed up, and we closed on the deal. That was 2.5 years ago and we now all have nice fast fiber based internet service. I actually have 2 ONT's (Optical Network Terminators, or fiber modems), at my local, each on different sub nets, for some redundancy. I'm still working with the county to get them to offer symmetrical GigE service. The equipment is capable of handling it, but they just don't offer residential rates at that speed. So I currently have dual 50 mbps down / 10 mbps up for an aggregate of 100/20 service. The rest of my network equipment is all Ubiquiti Unifi, which is the same company that sells the solar equipment that I use. So I have a central dashboard from which I can manage router, switches, and access points. Here's the main dashboard: A view of the network devices on the network: The AP down at my shop is currently disconnected as I ran out of ports on the switch, so the above view, as well as the main dashboard, provides an indicator that something is wrong. Here's a topology view. Sorry that is is all squished together horizontally. Here's the actual core network equipment: 24 port path panel on top for hardwired ethernet jacks through the house. 48 port core 1Gbps switch with 500W PoE (powers ip phones, access points, security cameras, etc). 16 port 10Gbps switch for server connections and fiber down links to other switches. Dual WAN/LAN router/gateway. 2x ONT modems to the service provider. Beautiful. Is it weird that I have dreams of building my own house solely for the purpose of wiring up a home network as I see fit... Current house was pre-wired by a 5th grader it seems.

Lots of talk of open air vs closed cases. Just my .02c :
I've found 4u server case layouts with directed airflow and blower style cards run cooler than my open air builds.
This was true when I was running 1070 FE's. It's true now with my Vega rigs. I even have some 1080 ti dual fan cards that run quite cool in 4u cases.
Forcing cold(er) air across cards and exhausting hot air is very effective.
