Why is DBIX so high at the moment?

Is this a typical "dump and pump"? The amount of DBIX is very low which disturbs me, only 898k coins.

I wish I had the technological skills to mine DBIX but I'm an idiot.

I would get free money. 

Is anything real going on with Mooncoin? Development? Anything?

Every day MOON is worth less and less and it's sinking on coinmarketcap.com.

I simply don't see what the hype is all about. Why wouldn't I buy Bytecoin instead, for example?

Looks like every coin is now taking a dip.

It's like when Bitcoin's value goes down, so does every other coin as well.

What if one day 1 MOON is worth multiple dollars just like Bitcoin? That would mean many MOON millionaires.

I don't think it's possible though. But I'll check this post in 5 years and see if anything has happened.

If we're thinking about making this a usable currency, I disagree. It scares me that there will only be a fixed amount of Bitcoins for the rest of eternity.
Think about how many coins were lost in the beginning of Bitcoin. Miners had thousands of coins and just threw their computers in the trash because nobody thought Bitcoin would become valuable.

Coins are lost in cyberspace all the time, every day. Even I have abandoned coins on wallets and markets where I can't even remember my password or username. Who knows how much I have there.
As time goes by, more and more coins are forever lost by stupid people. 
Maybe one day we don't even have enough coins in circulation for BTC to be a usable currency.

Still, I'd say it's better than ETH. ETH is not a currency at all, that's why I don't really invest in it or believe in it. It's not a currency for the people, it's something else. I'm interested in something that will be used by everyone in the world.

Well this is true, of course. But I'm starting to lose my faith in this coin, and here's why:

-DBIX is falling on coinmarketcap.com every day, whereas other altcoins such as Mooncoin have risen significantly. Position #200 is quite hopeless unless something big happens.

-A combination of BTC + ETH for the Arab world is a good idea, but it might not be necessary. Rich Arabs could just adopt BTC + ETH instead. Localization might be useless if Arabian big shots decide to hop on other trains.

-Transaction times are slow and the wallet is bad. Currently my DBIX on Livecoin are broken somehow.

-The official website doesn't say much and the twitter account has 230 followers, which is nothing.

The only thing going for DBIX is that it has doubled in value during the last month, and keeping in mind that this coin is just a few months old. Sometimes a coin can struggle for years until it makes it.
When I first got introduced to DBIX, it was at $2.50 or something. Now it's well over $4. That's not bad. But it needs more than the initial hype.

It's true that currently the officials in Dubai are implementing blockchain technology into their network, but I don't think they're even using ArabianChain but a private blockchain of their own. Correct me if I'm wrong.
DubaiCoin could be saved if Arabian businessmen indeed adopt the smart contract idea that Ethereum started, and absolutely want it to be localized in the Middle East.

I've never understood jokecoins such as Dogecoin or PEPECASH. Can you explain them to me?
I can't really think of them as serious investments when they're based off 4chan memes.
