The part regarding market analysis is correct, no issues there. The other part about that meeting with industry leaders, hm, that is at best a very bad marketing effort. Please, they are not Microsoft, now I am even more cautious.

To again play devil's advocate, more and more crypto companies are choosing to locate in Sweden. Ethereum recently announced they're headquartering there.
122  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Alpha Technology Litecoin (Scrypt) ASIC Miner Development on: March 31, 2014, 10:09:32 AM
The reason KNC miner is selling scrypt is because there is nothinf more to invent in sha-256 world. From here on it's these units and multiple thereof.

This is a good point, it's probably going to be a while before you see a sub-20 nm BTC ASIC, right?
123  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Alpha Technology Litecoin (Scrypt) ASIC Miner Development on: March 29, 2014, 07:30:08 PM
I can't play the mining game anymore. This is my last venture. Would be nice if KNC Miner made a $1000 miner, but why when they sell the 10k miners? Decentralization imo.

I really see VERT and/or Quark like coins starting to move as all those GPU's will find new homes. Also, Doge will be affected by this. I still don't like it since it is so inflated relatively speaking.

Why dont you check out Fibonacci, they are selling by the unit at 8.65 MH/s, purchase as many or as few as you want ... better act fast though, last time I checked they were 80% sold

It's a monster thread to read through however:
https://litecointalk.org/index.php?topic=2702.0

If KnC delivers as advertised, their units will be about 20 times more hash per dollar spent, and leaving a brief window of opportunity to make your money back before the scrypt difficulty starts going crazy.

Another withdrawal came through fine yesterday -- keeping my original deposit where it is and skimming off the earnings every week.

Hi there, just so you folks are aware our orders are now live: https://alpha-t.net/shop/

Thanks, but I'm still waiting for my refund which has been stuck pending for a week !

Are refunds being processed in BTC or via fiat-transfer?
126  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Alpha Technology Litecoin (Scrypt) ASIC Miner Development on: March 27, 2014, 09:17:44 PM
So can someone tell me approximately what specific amount I would receive if I requested a refund for my order of one 5 (or 16) Mh/s unit? I'm eligible for 75% of the deposit, but there's a flat rate charge on top of it too?  Thanks...
127  Economy / Securities / Re: btc-arbs: High-Performance, Pooled Arbitrage Fund... Or... ? on: March 27, 2014, 08:57:32 PM
this kind of game man can do only short term, not long term, scam or not is another topic.

Do you mean because arbitrage opportunities are going to diminish over time or... ?
128  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Alpha Technology Litecoin (Scrypt) ASIC Miner Development on: March 27, 2014, 08:41:59 PM
This is getting crazy, 100Mh/s to 250Mh/s?Huh

This might cause a huge drop in the difficulty as the day approaches and affect the price as well. A bit scary here.
Perhaps we see a rush to coins like VERT and QUARK.

Still, KNC has to deliver around the time of Alpha Technology for it to be a shocker. If it is 2 months later, then not a huge deal, but would still suck for Alpha Tech customers as they would only have 2 real months to mine, or whatever the lead advantage is.

Will be interesting to see what Alpha Tech says now. I mean is what KNC is saying even possible? Is it so cheap for them to produce that they are essentially sending 2 machines to hurt companies like Alpha Tech???

The experiment continues

IAS

I was a Gen-1 Jupiter customer with KnC and while I already have an order with Alpha-T, I have more faith in KnC because they have an established track record. When I purchased my Jupiter, the promised spec was 300 Gh/s, when I received it, after subsequent performance enhancement announcements, it ran at 525 Gh/s. Their motto is under-promise, over-deliver. It would not surprise me if their finished product ran at 300 Mh/s after further optimization. The problem now is where to come up with the $10k.

Please add SHA256 coins

Hate to say it, but the first priority should be to at least list prices on the site, this is like flying blind. I have to check three or four different exchanges and have no clue when to sell besides. Meh.
130  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Crypto Rush - Crypto to Crypto exchange on: March 27, 2014, 01:35:42 PM
Had to take a little bit of a hit due to the exchange rate, but I got out via Doge a few minutes ago.
131  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Crypto Rush - Crypto to Crypto exchange on: March 27, 2014, 11:45:30 AM
Is anyone able to withdraw alts, or just can't withdraw BTC?
132  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][POOL] ipoMiner - Profitable multipool targeting new coins on: March 27, 2014, 11:43:45 AM
I personally don't think the country coins are going to pan out long term, but many of them have done very well on a short term basis. GER is up to 20k satoshis at multiple btc volumes now on Bittrex - it was at 18k satoshis yesterday at less volume.

Is this a "think this might be a good time to sell..." comment or... ?  Undecided

ECC seems to have strong potential, I would agree.

Wow, can you distill that down to a sentence or two? I'm too busy making money...

If you prefer scammy bullshit to reading and thinking, bitcoin isn't for you. Fuck off.

You're operating under two assumptions:

1) I'm entirely convinced btc-arbs is a ponzi and am participating nonetheless at the expense of others. I'm not convinced its a scam. I'm in the process of vetting it and am posting my results here

2) My disinterest in reading your verbose sermon means that I have an aversion to reading and thinking. After glancing at your homework assignment, I could tell we were not going to agree. I get your opinion on btc-arbs but I don't agree with it at this point

And now I'm intentionally not going to tell you to "fuck off".

@ipominer: Have noticed a lot of switching between coins today -- is this difficulty-based?
137  Economy / Securities / Re: btc-arbs: High-Performance, Pooled Arbitrage Fund... Or... ? on: March 26, 2014, 12:18:08 AM
Again, I realize this could be a total scam and my money could disappear tomorrow, but the majority of my BTC is locked away in cold storage, and with a small amount of appetite for something higher-risk, I've placed a little bit of BTC here. If its a scam, its a pretty elaborate one, so I figure the guy has at least earned a little bit of my money if he disappears with it. Anyway, I'm openly posting this as a referral link, because if you had not heard of this website and would like to play around with it, I'd appreciate the referral. But if you'd prefer to trim off the 'referral/nightengale', you won't hurt my feelings.

This isn't a good approach to things. People who give money to scammers enable scamming; you're doing more than accepting high risk on your own dime. Have a read.

Even you not do auto sell it is good idea to add the price and exchanger that is supposed to be best price for every coin. So users can do this manual without to research all the time for every coin. Your site can check exchangers api's for this information.

+1 for this idea. And maybe even a general idea of a "green" target price and a "yellow" target price.
139  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][POOL] ipoMiner - Profitable multipool targeting new coins on: March 25, 2014, 10:01:15 PM
My only concern is that because I don't want to download more and more wallets, and I don't trust most of the exchanges either, I probably will be selling earlier rather than later. Hmmmm. I understand you guys have overhead with all of the daemons though.

For those of you that were looking forward to the BlitzCoin launch, it has been delayed again.

We are now mining GermanyCoin -- I also have SpartanCoin and GreeceCoin loaded up and ready as possibilities for today, along with a few others.

You guys rock.
