Sent BTC anyway?  Embarrassed
123  Other / Off-topic / Re: (w/POLL) BTCZ51 (expanding upon maxmint's idea) on: January 30, 2013, 04:07:19 AM
I can't think of anything because I'd be lying. I have nothing to offer and no capability to build a website, much less set it up to work by receiving bitcoins and halting transfers until 6  confirmations.

But by all means, go ahead and try my idea.

If it works out for you please send BTC -> 1BYJKxpntNn6TZbM5M5CWkEb8vr8vDcBrr

Well I can't really think of anything besides my Magic the Gathering manabase collection, or the BTC themselves as a price, or ASICs  Wink

Original idea do not steal  Roll Eyes

How much are you willing to bet to take everyone elses money?

The pot starts at 0+1(or X)BTC
the next person can put in 2 or 3 BTC to take whatever the initial X is
then someone may 'steal' the first bidders BTC by tacking on a larger ammount like Maxmint's BTC

when the pyramid is unsustainable either of 2 things happens, the initiator of the pyuramid runs with the money or the last person to bid takes all the pot minus 10% which goes to whomever started the pyramid, as a 'fee' of sorts?

In my head it made much better sense.

But at least the prize is actual BTC not some 'gem'.

It seems greed has taxed you people's patience.
129  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BitInstant Review on: January 29, 2013, 09:08:21 PM
I have never had an issue with Bitinstantand cash transfers through moneygram is it really that complicated for you people?

Get a few of those blue moneygrams for sending bill payments, go home, go to the bitinstant webpage and file an order.

Put ZippetyZnaps info on the moneygram paper and hand it to the cashier, I have never had a moneygram cashier at a WALMART of all places to be open on "Stupid hours".

The problems you have experienced ar elocal problems.

I suggest you use a moneygram service at a supermarket, the kind you buy groceries at and you will have 0 problems.
130  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buy, sell, or hold? on: January 29, 2013, 08:58:08 PM
When I get money, I will buy, hold and hate on this poll.

132  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Petition the government to declare the legal status of Bitcoin? on: January 29, 2013, 08:35:06 PM
I personally love the petition page the whitehouse has created, I've signed many including the one to deport Piers Morgan!

You must be on so many FBI watchlists.
133  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Tax-free coins on: January 29, 2013, 08:27:05 PM
Taxes are theft, and as such you have my blessing, to cheat as you file your tax claims. Wink

Unless you want to be a TRUE Libertarian, and suck every dollar possible out of this government by applying to every federal and state aid possible. Food stamps, housing allowances, aid for paying your electriciy bill, a free phone, go crazy!
134  Other / Off-topic / Re: I need help porting to GNU/Linux on: January 29, 2013, 08:24:01 PM
Kubuntu is about 930MB for the iso. http://www.kubuntu.org/

What is this heretical suggestion! The mere mention of which leaves a bad taste in my mouth!

As a follower of Richard the Stallman I will have none of this!
135  Other / Off-topic / Re: Big brother is watching and recording you... on: January 29, 2013, 08:20:47 PM
Holy shiiiiiieeeeeeeet  Shocked

It would be quite nice if the entire world or at least previously unexplorable regions become mapped with these things, but knowing it's the government we will instead have hover drone patrols, you know, for our own good.

Even the oceans could be mapped with such powerful cameras and proper lighting.

Then again google, the CIA, the NSA, facebook and some other alphabet soup government agencies have been spying on us for years.

Now it's spying on HD with these drones.

Good luck though.
137  Economy / Economics / Re: Can we call this guy the most ignorant guy on earth? on: January 29, 2013, 07:58:48 PM
I have seen that same little icon of his profile on youtube on a poster or two right here on the forums...

It's a troll! Or a willfully ignorant person, I stopped watching the second he said "how do we value bitcoins". We all value bitcoins and assign them a price through the market, like we're doing right now. If you cannot afford a full bitcoin, then buy half and trade with that, Assuming BTC hits $20, .5 BTC will be $10.

How do you know how much gold is $8 for that matter? Or vice versa? Bitcoins are a commodity and all of us that participate in the bitcoin market agree on how much we want to pay for them.

Just like FIAT currencies whole bills are divisible with quarters, nickels, dimes and pennies, and so too are bitcoins divisible, by up to 8 decimal points in case one btc reaches elevendy billion dollars.

138  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Buying Booster and Booster Boxes - Magic the Gathering on: January 29, 2013, 07:19:39 PM
Would you like it if I bought one for you?
139  Other / Off-topic / Re: I need help porting to GNU/Linux on: January 29, 2013, 05:43:07 AM
