India just BANNED Bitcoin? Will BTC now crash?

What was the outcome of this in India?
122  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I have NEVER seen Bitcoin in such a sorry state as this!! on: April 11, 2018, 04:26:17 PM
Several transactions of mine have gone with 0 confirmations in the past several days.  And some of those I was paying 1.5X or 2X the recommended fees.  Nothing.  Nada.  Zilch.

Bitcoin has gone from being an expensive network to use to a practically unusable network.  I was defending Bitcoin against millions of tards back in 2011 and 2012.  Are they going to have the last laugh on me now?  It pisses me off to actually see some of you defending this too and saying "this is the way Bitcoin is supposed to work".  Umm... NO IT IS NOT .

I have ZERO confidence left in Core and their "developers".  Their network can't handle the slightest bit of volume without totally seizing up.  And then Adam Back is out there with the press talking about Bitcoin vendors and merchants running a tab system??  Really??  You can't do your job properly so you want people to run a tab in BTC??  You saw this coming from 10 miles away and did nothing about it.  Stupid or malicious?... you decide.

I will be converting my remaining BTC to BCH, Dash, XMR and coins that actually work! And coins that have teams that have at least a Grade 7 level understanding of economics, ie.. "when you are at capacity, you open more locations".  And not throw out "but but centralization!!" juvenile red herrings!

Long time Bitcoiner of 6 years here saying, "SEE YA LATER! CASHING OUT NOW!"

Good for you - you realized it is good for absolutely no practical purpose and was lucky to sell at around 16.000 - as opposed to the "HODL" cult members in here you are stuck with counting their losses and clining to hope as their only strategy
123  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: $500 million go missing in largest cryptocurrency hack ever - News on: April 11, 2018, 04:21:39 PM
Japanese cryptocurrency exchange Coincheck has confirmed it lost about $524 million after suffering a hack which stole 500 million NEM tokens, said to be the biggest cryptocurrency hack ever. NEM, the 10th-largest cryptocurrency by market value, fell 11% over a 24-hour period following the hack. The previous largest theft was pegged at $450 million in 2014 from a Tokyo-based exchange.

Shocking news huh? This will affect badly for the Crypto world. Are these hackers unstoppable ? I am worried all my coins are in exchanges, not in hardware wallets, Exchanges are really not safe, This news confirms it again.

Yes, they are unstoppable - and as more people begin to properly worry about their money, they go out of crypto again
124  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would Bitcoin ending up like Yahoo in the future? on: April 11, 2018, 04:20:42 PM
Yes I think bitcoin will end up being like yahoo. Yahoo is still used . A new crypto currencies will definitely come out to out shine bitcoin . Bitcoin has some disadvantages now high transaction fees and slower confirmation time.Bitcoin will for ever be relevant even if not ranked number one

Let's see how Lightening Network can help Bitcoin to gain its dominance.  From what I learned online, LN is already available for Bitcoin, but the acceptance rate from the nodes is still small - although is increasing.

Clearly that did not change a thing - price continues down
125  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If you did not listen before, now is last chance to reduce your loss on: April 11, 2018, 04:16:42 PM
I think the crypto market is still a huge market and people are entering the market. It is not advisable to sell at this time bitcoin is slowly recovering or this is just a temporary rebound?  btc had already encounter same situation like this and it recovers in the long run. I think the crypto market is still a huge market and people are entering the market.

There is no-one entering the market. Everyone who believes in crypto entered the market in 2017 - that is why the price exploded. The only thing that can now happen is that some people stay in crypto and come leave it. Therefore we will continue to see less and less people in crypto, and the price will continue to go down when the sell and leave.
126  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is like Myspace - and will be abandoned like Myspace on: April 11, 2018, 04:11:38 PM

if bitcoin cannot sustain the long run, then no coin will,

That is correct - no coin will. That is also why people who say the "diversify" by buying altcoins are deluding themselves.

127  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Peaks are lower, dips are deeper. The facts. on: April 11, 2018, 04:09:55 PM
I think it's okay if the price goes even below $6700. Many of the investors will get change to buy bitcoin at a cheaper price. The price of bitcoin will increase anyhow very soon. So, I'll be able to make a good amount of money out of it

Yes I agree, If you buy at the dip of below 6k it is very much ok because for sure the dip of bitcoin will not go dwon below 5k usd. It is all about the strategy in earning bitcoin. If tou will buy on 10k make sure you wilk sell it on above 10k usd . Then buy again at the dip when it becomes like 6k usd.

wow - just like people said "it will not go below 15000" and "it will not go below 12000" and "it will not go below 10000"......... People in here who are invested in crypto are so shit-scared that they are losing their money that they will say anything in the hope that their beleif will magically increase the proce
128  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is now banned in JAMAICA on: April 11, 2018, 04:07:50 PM

currency called bitcoin. if you have anymore news leave in post below.

Even the rastas have seen that make-believe money is no good - and being virtual it can't even be smoked.....
129  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is dropping! what to expect?! on: April 11, 2018, 04:00:16 PM
just be patient and hope that everything will come back to normal maybe soon we will be back smiling with bitcoin price increase

Cool investment strategy you have: "Hope". for your sake I hope you have a day job and haven't put too much money into crypto.
130  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Make-believe toy money (Bitcoin) is coming to an end on: April 11, 2018, 03:58:09 PM
How can you say that it is a fantasy money?? Huh Because bitcoin is real and other crypto is just like branches of bitcoin and copying on what bitcoin is. Bitcoin is the only crypto that is going to change our world into the world that no one ever wonder before.  Bitcoin is real and fantasy.

Bitcoin is fantasy money just like game money in monopoly. If all of you Bitcoin-cult believers decided that play-money had a value you could begin to trade them with each other. It would still be play-money.
131  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is like Myspace - and will be abandoned like Myspace on: April 11, 2018, 03:55:49 PM
Myspace had 500 million users who believed in it. Their belief drive the value up.

Then came facebook - and Myspace was totally abandoned and the value of the "belief" dropped like a stone

Bitcoin is the same - when something better comes around, belief will crumble and Bitcoin will be abandoned like Myspace and investors will have zero value. And Bitcoin will indeed be abandoned as it has again and again proven itself completely useless for large-scale practical applications.

"When" is the wrong word here - there are numerous examples of products and companies being around for decades despite the competition - Google, Microsoft, Intel and so on.
In reality there's actually very small chance that Bitcoin will be abandoned in the observable future, because it is in fact the best coin - it's developed by hundreds of contributors, many of whom are experts in their field, unlike small groups of mediocre programmers behind most altcoins. Bitcoin is also driving innovation like Lightning Network, while altcoin projects design centralized systems with many flaws that they just ignore.

The companies that have been around for decades actually produce goods or services that can be used. They do not provide a fiction for people to "HODL". BTC has shown again and again that it does not practically work for anything

India just BANNED Bitcoin? Will BTC now crash?

Wrong question. BTC is already crashing - the only thing that can be debated is how fast or slow the downturn will be
133  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is dropping! what to expect?! on: April 11, 2018, 03:51:54 PM
Keep Calm, everything will be ok. In April, the price will go up. I'm absolutely sure.

... but in the 16 days since you wrote this, the opposite has happened, and price is down by more than 1000.

why your so hate bitcoin?if you hate that so much on bitcoin better leave in this forum you dont need spread fud here.

your wrong  comparing bitcoin to my myspace theres so many Altcoin that better than bitcoin in term of speed transaction and low fees but still bitcoin still the number 1 until now.

Then remember that Myspace was also seen by 500 million users as number 1 - all the other social media spaces were really "alt-spaces" compared to Myspace. Yet it completely disappeared quickly
135  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is like Myspace - and will be abandoned like Myspace on: April 11, 2018, 03:46:14 PM
OP looks like a butthurt troll to me. What’s the matter, did you find out about bitcoin too late & can’t afford to buy in now? Are you an early adopter who had the chance to be rich but sold way too early & now you can’t look in the mirror without hating yourself?

If you hate bitcoin so much & don’t think it has any future then why don’t you fuck off & spend your time more productively doing something you enjoy elsewhere.

Typical reactions in here. You bitcoin fans are exactly like a brainwashed religious cult - you start whining and crying whenever there is information that does not match your view. But you may want to read up on how it went to the cult members following Jim Jones to Guyana - and consider where the cult of Bitcoin will take your money.....
136  Economy / Speculation / Re: April will be around 5000 - and then further down on: April 11, 2018, 03:43:16 PM
If you look at the total developments - and not at the wild volatility from day to day:

December on average was around 15.000$ for BTC
Peak was in December where BTC was at 20000$
January was on average around 12.500$
February was around 10.000$
March was around 7.500$

It is not difficult at all to see where this is going......

Despite the fact that the value of Bitcoin and other altcoins is declining from till the month April doesn't necessarily mean that it will continue on a decline direction. You speculation of Bitcoin declining to $5,000 in the month of April may not come to fulfilment because good news are coming up in favour of Bitcoin and crypto currency in general.

.... well we are only a third into the month of april and have already seen a low point of 6.400$ in april thus far, so there remains a high chance of continuing the trend and seeing 5000 at some point in April

Dude, you're scaring people.

I hope so

curious to know why you're still on bitcointalk

Every person who gets sufficiently scared and sells out before it is too late is a person I have helped avoid an eventual total loss

139  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: It's official Amazon now accepts Bitcoin directly on: April 01, 2018, 01:03:14 PM
Amazon is the largest e-commerce site in the world, consuming more and more consumers every day through this site, it accepts bitcoin will delight many people and confirm the value of bitcoin payment.

The sheer ignorance and gullibility amongst "investors" in Bitcoin is simply amazing......
140  Economy / Speculation / Re: What if we buy bitcoins now all TOGETHER?! on: April 01, 2018, 12:56:49 PM
Sorry for this thread , people are saying that the best move for now is hodl, wait, hodl, WATI! considering this time's bitcoin price. But i've been wondering, what if the community take action, united, then buy like at least $100 or any amount you have simultaneously ( since it is good time to buy at low price) first before enraging HODL and wait!
I know it's easy to say but what is it's impact or is this already experimented?
And there are also what they call HOLY whales to maintain the good price.
Share your thoughts. Thanks!

Just like pump-and-dump schemes, and some of the pump groups you can find on Telegram, such planned approaches are illegal in all normal investment legislation and exchanges and in all countries. And when the legislative parts of the governments starts truly looking into crypto (they are always slow in the beginning) it is very clear that there are people who will be going to jail for planning and executing such pumping schemes. Just wait and see.
