121  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling and health 🤕symptoms on: February 15, 2020, 08:01:34 PM
BTW, it's a policy from gambling sites to gamble responsibly.

That's not a policy, it's more on like an advice from them though so people will know the risk in gambling.
Gambling sites are into business so for clients who are losing, they love that, and hate those who are winning.. well, although I see sites says "we welcome winners" but in reality, they will hope we lose more so they will be more profitable.
correct just like what indicated in every cigarette cases that "Smoking is Dangerous to our Health" yet they are still selling cigarettes, this is same in gambling that they are telling people to gamble responsibly but they are letting people bet at all cases.

but about the topic?it is our responsibility on what can be done while in gambling.if we want drugs or liquor?it is still our desire, but better not be with people that has multiple vices so we can be prevented to do one without influencing us.
For sure it's important to be healthy than to be rich be good with gambling but never get involved with things that can harm your healthy and happy life.  Addictions cause the wrong impact in our life so we should gamble in a casino that provides a drug-free environment to gamblers Ana makes some rules for gamblers to get a healthy life and good profit from their gambling skills.
122  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Anyone still earning with bounties? on: February 14, 2020, 04:16:38 AM
Take it or leave it people are still making money from bounty projects, it requires big patience and persistence now unlike in 2017 when you can rely on a single bounty project for profit, now things are far more harder, you need to create your chance by joining many bounties
I don't know why people keep complaining about this year when still there are so many people earning from crypto altcoins and bounties. I know for some time it lost the value and reduced the price but it does not matter because bounties will again start to pay high to their users that's why we should not lose hope but the signature campaign is the best.
123  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What's in the game, after all? on: February 12, 2020, 09:01:47 PM
There are other types of games in relation to gambling. Rolling dice might not be the most entertaining one. Some types of gambling games that could entertain a gambler is betting on something, like in horse racing. The anticipation is what drives them to be thrilled. Other type of games include card games, some with few mechanics, but is still based on luck.

What I see that can also entertain a user is the interaction he gets on gambling. Chat rooms and such also adds to the entertainment and enjoyment they feel.
Yes you may have fun here as well, chat rooms are good , you will meet new people, new friends, that can share their strategies in the game as well it can be helpful , it can be helpful if you will gain that, having a mentor is good in the game.

I guess the *bad thing* you are referring to is the addiction. Well, many first time lottery player for example, likely won't get addicted in their first games. So, one would wonder what could cause a lottery player to get addicted? Maybe sound, greed, cute images, colors,. etc? I think some "fun/pleasurable" things attached to the lottery definitely could cause someone to become a regular player despite not winning or improving.

Addiction will only happen if and only if the gambler is very greedy, well it is given that sometimes we are being like that, and we cannot stop ourselves but we must! that is the root of the addiction, it can lead to that if you only be happy and have fun in gambling then being greedy will take out in the game.
I also do agree people get addicted when they make gambling as their whole time job so we should play gambling but in the limit. When you get the time and become boring then try to start gambling. After one-time tr one should take a break and stop for a while. In the very beginning, a gambler should have control over their emotions and never get addicted to gambling.
124  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Real reasons to Why do you gamble? on: February 12, 2020, 08:34:14 PM
~~i think nobody here is gambling just because for the relaxing, those who are saying that they are playing just for the entertainment then i think they are presenting the lame excuse because gambling is for making money.
I agree with you. The main reason people to gamble should be for money since it takes capital to play and not really appropriate for fun. If someone wants to have fun, the must prefer to go outside or play online/ofline games. Moreover, someones shouldn't be fun if he loses in gambling continously.  Cheesy
Maybe they say it truly but yeah people play it to earn money not only to have fun and my reason for it is to make money. I work in my office and before leaving for home I visit the casino and spend the little amount I often win and I get profit so I did not make gambling my only way of getting money but I have my job and I use to gamble for getting extra income.
125  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Anyone here dream of achieving their financial goal in life through gambling? on: February 09, 2020, 08:58:32 PM

Probably out of hundred thousand of gamblers, two digits of it are those people that became lucky. This is just a personal thought and my opinion about the stats and no actual basis.

We don't need actual number of data but we know already that majority are losers in gambling that's why casinos stay profitable and they are a growing industry while the rate is really good. There are exceptional people who make money out from gambling consistently and that's the reason why people are still eager to try their luck or their skills just to prove to themselves if they are exceptional or not.
Yeah, yeah I know about I'm just stating my opinion.  Wink
I admire those people that make themselves perfect with gambling. I'm also a gambler but they really are exceptional kind of gamblers and another type are those who are lucky to win the lottery. By googling it, they will actually show those winners in the past of millions of dollars but there were also stories that many of them as well, didn't protect and used their prizes correctly.

Well I mostly see exceptional talents on poker or in card games since their skills makes them successful in their craft but in other forms I doubt their are successful bettors since provably majority of their bets are in lose compare to their winnings. But I'm looking up on sportsbetting and want to see if their are people who earn a success stories for betting on their favorite teams.
You should bet on any game only when you are an expert in it and you have skills then you can win at the end. We should work hard to become an expert gambler and get some skills of gambling by making research poker is also a good game and it has a huge amount of profit for those who know how to play it. And win at the end. To get our dreams related to anything is all about skills and good knowledge.
126  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: two gambling games that are players favorite on: February 09, 2020, 08:34:06 PM
Dice games offer minimal mechanics but less the thrill, and is often depressing when you're just losing your luck. Card games, on the other hand, are much more gameplay-rich, and has way more thrill and makes you think first before actually making an action.

Favorite games might be dependent on several factors such as: time required to play, the mechanics and difficulty, and the possible amount of win.
Yeah every gambler should choose his or her own choice for game selection as you mentioned some good games that can make people win. I like to play cards as it has more chances to win and I like to play it so enjoyment is also there for me. Gambling is the most important thing to be so concerned while choosing a game. I prefer to play Dice because I like it and as its skill-based game so have skills too.
127  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How often do you gamble? on: February 09, 2020, 07:54:24 PM
i was gambling so often when i was studying. Love texas hold'em  Smiley But it is hard to find enough time nowadays for gambling. I can only spend some time for betting on football games.
Really nice to see people are being good for gambling and they are getting interested in gambling. We make a list of days and then I gamble only in my free days. I think we should not disturb our study for gambling and gamble only if we get spare time from our daily working or studying routine as I use to gamble only in my free time and mostly at night time.
128  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How Much Money You Need To Win To Stop gambling, Is This Possible. on: February 09, 2020, 06:17:47 PM
Yes, many gamblers lose their money in gambling because of losing control too. Maybe in out there, more gamblers who have those experience but they still trying to recover their losses by taking loans from other people. That person will not stop gambling even if they win millions because gambling is very attractive and always invite them to come back to play another game. But I believe that some gambler will stop gambling if they win the money or huge money.
They are needing self-control so that they would not be losing too much, it is not the amount of money that could you get to stop you, it is the control of us in everything that we are doing, no matter how much we will get still if we are an addict or not satisfied with the amount that we get, or even if we already get the target still it will not be the way to stop a gambler, it can only either pushes him to be a better gambler or to be an addict player.

there is no need for me to win just to stop because i can control myself,i don't intend to Gamble just to Earn money but to Earn happiness .
this is what my fathers thought me win i was very young because in our community Back then?most of the Male gambles almost everyday and they are aiming to win so family can eat,so they can have clothes and house rents.
from then i learn that Gambling wont give us fortune but only failure if you live life for this one.why need to gamble when there are job opportunities that will give us real life.
It is good for you to have that self-control, it is too hard to stop, or to pause for a while but soon it will worth it, it will bring so much fun and excitement to us, so better to have that self-control and do not be an addict.
Yeah it's good for you to keep control over your emotions and not to spend such a huge amount for gambling only. So when you invest your money make sure you spend a small amount that you can afford apart from other expenses as if you will invest bigger amount so you will remain to worry about the loose abs you will surely win at the end if you play relaxed.
129  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is it good to talk about big gains? on: February 02, 2020, 07:38:09 PM
~
That's right. Giving money to people is not always a good thing. Sometimes it makes their life worse than it was before. It's not that it's always bad, though. I was given some money to gamble with several times during the past years, and I haven't become addicted or anything. But: 1. I never asked for the money(which would be a red flag, obviously); 2. Those people knew me very well to know that they won't do me a disservice by giving me money to gamble(or buying me a ticket for a poker tournament). If a gambler is begging you to share your big win with him/her, after you told them that you won big, so that they could gamble with the money, it's better to not give it to them, and it's even better to not talk about your big wins with such people, in the first place.
It is not good to talk about your big gains. The reason for it is same as you have discussed. People think that you are addicted to it and therefore making this much money. Moreover, others feel that you are trying to boast off your wins. This could be dangerous for your personal growth in many ways.

Addicted gamblers rarely make money, usually they lose it. There are workaholics, who are basically addicted to their jobs, and those people do make money, but that is so because in their case everything depends on their skills. In gambling, however, too much things depend on luck, and even the best pro poker players lose big sometimes. In short, gambling is not the place where you can make money while being addicted to the process.
Yes addicted gamblers use to do this they often talk about their earning with people but this is surely not a good habit. We should keep it secret and away from as people can give us harm to disclosing our earning from other people. Gambling is like a way of earning and it's not for other people but for us that's why don't talk here and there about how much you are earning from gaming.
130  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: two gambling games that are players favorite on: February 02, 2020, 07:10:13 PM
If you only play with other players than yes it is +EV but apparently most sites will take a commission or rake which is 1% or lower, so in the end you still have a sort of house edge.
Well commission is taken from wager whether you win or not isnt it? Its similar to a trading fee taken to execute a trade. So I wont say it is like house edge. Be cause the edge is a percentage that the house has over its players when they are selecting the side on which the dice will roll. While a commission is like a predetermined amount to be deducted from every wager. They are two fundamentally different concepts.

Quote
Also, because only a few players will win the pot to share,,, you have to be really good to make it to a prize. It is definitely not for the average gambler like me!
Some of the gamblers actually work on their skills in EV+ games like poker. Its not for everyone of course.
Poker is a good game indeed because it's a skill-based game and if you are well skilled and well mannered you will get success in gambling. There are so many games like playing cards and betting as these games are fully enjoyable and I am sure playing them will be all success for me that's why I make good gambling in playing poker and also getting into crypto betting like cricket and cards.
131  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How Much Money You Need To Win To Stop gambling, Is This Possible. on: February 02, 2020, 06:42:03 PM
I will stop gambling if I won a lottery worth few millions on in casinos where I get the overall profits in few hundred bitcoins. Grin

Sounds too much right but this will be the mindset of every gambler that is why people who won huge money also keep continuing.Greediness will never get satisfied...
Lol, nobody would say that they will stop gambling if they won in a lottery. Dude, that's a big win. It's millions with a $ sign on it. I'm sure that greediness will take over you since you already prove that you can win millions. Why not trying again? Double the cash double the happiness
More money in hand = More chances of winning.

The first sentence is what most of the gamblers are saying when they are not winning huge amounts of money yet but if they experienced winning, it will be reversed because greediness will eat their minds. They are thinking that if they will gamble more, they have more chances of winning more money Cheesy. Greediness is one of the deadliest attitudes when it comes to gambling so don't let yourself be eaten by it or you will be lost big time money Cheesy.
Worse perceptions while inside this activities. Instead of quitting since you'll already have decent profits, you'll keep pushing thinking that you will be able to win more. The outcome most of the time is you'll  be losing it back together with your bankroll. If you can control your greediness you'll be okay with small earnings instead of seeking for much bigger.
Yeah that's a good idea to gamble with less greed and more interest. I prefer gambling usually with my additional income and spare some money from pocket money. I get &20k for monthly pocket money so I spend 10k on gambling and keep the other 10k for my other expenses. I never cross my limited amount of gambling as it saves me from loss and also helps me earn more profit.
132  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How often do you gamble? on: February 02, 2020, 06:10:24 PM
Are you gambling everyday?
twice a week?
once in a never again?

if you gamble everyday, can you stop whenever you want or are you fully addicted?

would love to hear more on your habits here on the forum.

I have no fixed schedule of gambling. I gambling whenever i feel like and it depends upon my mood. If i am happy and have some spare money, i gamble and have fun. If you ask me about the frequency of gambling, sometimes i gamble daily and sometimes i do not gamble even for whole week. I am not consistent.  Smiley
Exactly its better to gamble when you feel free or when you really free from other things then you can gamble everyone should gamble with a relaxed mind and easy way. Gambling should be done with less amount and I use to gamble when I become free from my work usually I spend time at my regular job and on Saturday and Sunday we get free time and off day so then I use to visit the casino for gambling.
133  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What can make more profit ? on: January 31, 2020, 07:14:29 PM
now a days many IEO coming most of them are not belong on well prosperous project, but you can choose wisely good IEO then you can make profit, you have to check all detail with team members background and all features belong to IEO.

The scammer has been designed in such a way as the original and you can be fooled easily at that moment. So you should filter deeper if you want to do something profitable.

Yup, that was too hard to know if the project was not a scam but there are some case that they scam people because the project was not successful so meaning the token will be useless because they didn't meet the goal that they need to read and some scam ICO would happen for some reason.

yeah it is very hard to recognize whether the project is genuine or not but i think if someone wants to invest in any project he must check it, he should read the whitepaper and other thing so that he know about the project, in my case i rarely invest in projects and the money is not very big like i afford to lose it.
whatever happens when before investing we have to check all the data needed, conduct research and look for comparisons with other projects.
And when we have invested in it we will receive results in the end, regardless of good or bad that is obtained.
Yes, you will get what you do in crypto and it depends on you how you go in your investment and how much potential your coin has. Those who know when to invest and when to hold they never sell at panic. In crypto, holders will. wait patiently and will never sell until the price recovers 2X. Having double profit just for holding a year or two is good planning but don't panic it.
134  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: HODL&CALM on: January 31, 2020, 06:57:39 PM
Everything passes and this will pass! (King Solomon)
The crypto is already in the present and undoubtedly the future quantum science!

Everyone easily says hold and calm. But mostly they panicked. Will not be able to calm down if the capital in the wallet continues to run low. Here we only try our luck, and hope to be fortunate in the future. I think if they just hitched a ride on another platform, it wouldn't lead to better directions, they just waited for the movement from the others.
It's good for us to keep calm and wait for the right time to sell your coin. In Altcoin, those who use to panic will surely cry someday and they will retract so I suggest all investors to keep investing as the price is very low and it has high potential to increase but we will have to wait and see if when that good time comes in our life. If we will panic is will give us loss and we will cry for making the worst mistakes selling at the red market.
135  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Warning for newbies on: January 31, 2020, 06:38:01 PM
Quite right, there are still too many cryptocurrency scam companies and cryptocurrency scam companies constantly appear, therefore, to protect yourself from losing your money, it is best to invest in top projects that have long been in the cryptocurrency field or at least invest in cryptocurrency companies that conduct IEO on top exchanges like binance, huobi, kucoin.
Binance is a good company that has good fame around the world. I hope it's gonna be safe for you. New investors of Altcoins should invest only in good sites and be long term investors. Choose good coins for investing and don't put all your money into any coin without any proper research and explore Google for collecting information and knowledge about the coin you are going to invest your money in.
136  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can Bitcoin Cost $ 25,000 by 2021? on: January 26, 2020, 08:51:57 PM
Bitcoin prices are going up and down these days. People are hopeful that the price of Bitcoin may well go up by 2021. Bitcoin has been legalized in a number of countries, due to which Bitcoin prices are now recovering. If the price of Bitcoin goes up to 25,000 by 2020, it will be very difficult to buy.
Very difficult, but if it still pumped of course there are someone who still buy it. Maybe only him who know the reason, like when it is on last peak. It wouldn't get peak if there are no one who bought it right, but i hope people who bought bitcoin in high price not lose  a lot.
Still, so many people are there who believe in the potential of bitcoin and they are buying without any doubt of losing because they know one-day bitcoin is going to pump this much. Waiting gives everything so if we will wait accordingly we can see bitcoin pumping even higher. Time heals the pain and perience heals the bearish market so I think it's possible to see the price rising above $25k.
137  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Price Rises to $20-$50k After Halving...Thoughts? on: January 26, 2020, 08:12:52 PM
Well, we will see it if the halving is very near, predictions might be going possible and if the event is so close and the price is changing up and bring up our expectation. hype is going around, if this will go through, then our prediction is going to make profits for us. this event will make new history if everyone will help to up bitcoin's reputation.

Halving is still few months from now and it is easy to say the price is going to be like this and that but we can't really tell if it is going to be the case, what we can only do now is wait and I would suggest that we take advantage of the opportunity that we can see as of the moment and make the best out of it rather than thinking about the future wherein we don't know what's gonna happen.
Yes being worry gives nothing to us we should be confident about our investments and get more purchasing of bitcoin. I hope the coming year will make the price high about $25k or more than this but forgetting the price above 50k it will have to be patient. Time is required I have faith to see the price increasing above $30k or $50k this year.
138  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price. Will go up? or Will go down below $8600? over the night on: January 26, 2020, 07:35:32 PM

Hey guys. It's been almost two days that Bitcoin price stays still.
I am on the tipping point of whether or not to buy Bitcoin now around $8650..
What do you guys think?
If you can embrace the risk then why not? We do have all the control if we would buy into these levels or not.

We do saw that the price had tanked and stayed on 8500 price but we cant be sure if there would be a pullback or would
head up on 5 digit price. Its totally unpredictable if i were to say and this had been always the question of many.

Many people are now scared to invest because after a continuous uprise happened recently, they got their hopes up and now that thr market value is again falling, it confuses them to do their thing. Keep in mind how volatile the market is and decide if you are ready to take risk in order to earn profit at the end. The market behavior is way unpredictable so be sure that the amount that you would invest is an amount you can afford losing. Just think twice or mofe becore engaging yourselves because regret is painful to experience.
The market will rise very soon so be positive about investing your money. Market ups and down is so common there is nothing to worry about I have seen rise and fall in my entire journey of investment that's why bitcoin is expanding more. Last year the price was down but now it has begun to improve,  we don't need to worry about losing as bitcoin is a golden coin to invest your money.
139  Economy / Speculation / Re: Start buying on: January 26, 2020, 06:41:43 PM
Bitcoin is still up and down and still has a chance if you want to keep it. I personally prefer to use the short-term moment of Bitcoin for now. before the period approaches halving

Yeah bitcoin is moving up and down but instead of waiting for more we should buy right now, time tells us what to do and today's time saying to make remarkable purchasing. I think in the coming two years we are going to see a pump in price and then holders will celebrate earning profit from bitcoin while waiters are going to wait so long for buying again at a lowest price like today.
For sure when you decide to buy some bitcoins you will have to know the right time for it. Yet bitcoin is at a low price so time to start buying. In a few more months, we will be able to see a huge pump again that's why we will have to spend more after that. Right now it's time to take advantage of the market fallen price and buy at the lowest price of $8k.
140  Economy / Economics / Re: BTC to GOLD on: January 26, 2020, 05:59:13 PM
As the poll question states, in your opinion, is it a good idea to buy (stack) gold?

Feel free to elaborate your answer.

The poll is incorrect, the question doesn't have a good overall yes/no answer.
In periods like there was 2018, buying gold would have been better. In periods like now buying Bitcoin may be better.
And overall, diversifying by buying both could be even better.
Maybe, it is a matter of investor's mindset. If he is looking for long term investment without risking that much, investing to Gold, at this case, is a good idea but if he is wanting an investment which is a bit risky but would give him a bigger and faster profit, Cryptos would be also fine. Cryptos including Bitcoin, has a more active market value than gold which is a bit consistent. Its market value moves from time to time but its movement includes up and down motion not continuous uprise.
Yeah bitcoin (crypto) is the best option for all investors and thinking about any other investment is the worst choice for sure. For me Gold is nothing in front of bitcoin, selling gold always full of lose so we should take advantage of the time and invest our money only in bitcoin I hope with passage of time bitcoin will be the best asset and right now bitcoin market is under-recovery which is expected to be done till end of 2020.
