122  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: VEGA 64 mining FREE WISDOM on: December 08, 2017, 07:02:42 PM

running at 355,7MH/s stable after blood sweat and tears which is what im hoping you won't have to go through

1 x ASUS B250 mining expert Motherboard
2 x 4Gb RAM
1 x Pentium 4400 CPU
8 x MSI VEGA 64 aircooled GPU's
2 x EVGA NOVASTAR 1600W PSU's
1 x 12v fan (very important will explain later)
8 x risers

Using 2 EVGA 1600 PSU's is an overkill but it was the easiest way to keep things uniform and have enough VGA outlets for cards and risers.
Used 5 GQ 6 to 8x2 cables from the EVGA 1000 pack and 6 G2 6 to 6+2 from the EVGA 1600 pack.
Be aware that the EVGA 1600 PSU (G2 cables) has a different manufacturer than the EVGA 1000 PSU (GQ flat cables) hence the operating frequencies and wiring of the sockets is different. You can use the GQ cables on the 1600 but you CANNOT use the G2 cables on the 1000.

We found that mixing these 2 power supplies (or any 2 or more different PSU's) on the same rig causes all sorts of problems, so its best when setting up multi GPU rigs to keep the PSU's uniform. In addition its problem avoiding to connect the riser power supply on the same PSU as the GPU.

Also be very aware that VEGAs are prone to Electro Magnetic inteference so try to keep the PSU's and any other EM generating devices (especialy spark gap devices) as far as possible from the rig. i found this out the hard way after almost throwing in the towel as i stupidly had an ozone maker ontop of the table and was wondering why each pc startup showed different PCIe's not working and system was freezing or dropping after a few mins of operation.

We also killed 2 Asrock H110 BTC Pro mobo's because of faulty riser adaptors as on 2 of them (from the same batch) had fused solder points making them into shortcircuit instant death for the mobo.
So please VISUALY INSPECT the risers especialy the solder points before instalation to avoid this happening to you.

(im a newbie here so my posts have to come with a 360 second gap)

You guys went full force into mining with that setup. Jealous lol

I look forward to reading about your guy's trial and errors. I am looking to get into mining and have been fighting a battle between GeForce 1070 vs. Vega 64s. Everybody is gunning for the Vega 64s.

how often does BCO staking pay out, twice a week ?

I think it os bi-weekly. Can anybody say in which weekdays?
We always receive in bco right? It’d be awesome receiving in several different crypto.

According to the devs, the payout is every two weeks. The first scheduled payout is for December 15th. For right now, the payouts will be issues in all the coins that were gathered from in fees. So if you have been staking, than your payout will be in a mixture of all the actively traded coins on the exchange. They said that later on, you will be able to choose which coin the share is payed to you in. Most likely BCO, or Bitcoin.

I bought some QRL earlier this year and am holding it in my MEW wallet. When the mainnet is launched, there will be a swap to our real QRL coins right? At what ratio will that be 1:1?

@ 1:1 ratio

Will there be a deadline to swap by, or is it open ended?

What is the legal status of BCO tokens now that they receive profits from the trading? It sounds like dividends from a stock and would make BCO considered a security.

Since CryptoBridge does not keep any of the trading profits themselves, does that make BCO different from a security somehow? Has anyone on the CryptoBridge looked into this at all? I'm liking this coin a lot but hesitant to get in if there could be legal issues.

I just asked your question to one of the devs on the Slack channel. They said Bridgecoin is not a security because it is a freely mineable coin. They also gave me this to refer you to: https://bytemaster.github.io/article/2016/03/27/How-to-Launch-a-Crypto-Currency-Legally-while-Raising-Funds/

If it had been an ICO, then it would have been a security.

Just bought some BCO on EtherDelta and now I want transfer them to the wallet address CryptoBridge gave me on the exchange but an error comes up at EtherDelta saying, "Please specify a valid address". Any thoughts on what I'm doing wrong?

The coin you have just bought is Bananacoin. Bridgecoin and Bananacoin have the same ticker symbols. My advice is to sell Bananacoin, convert the Ether to Bitcoin with Shapeshift, and from there send it to your Cryptobridge address.

129  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Whats so special about IOTA? on: November 17, 2017, 08:40:34 PM
Seems to be one hell of a technology afaik.
I'm also looking at hashgraph .. very promising.. both are DAG so that might be the future.

Are they launching a coin to exchanges? It looks like they're not holding ICO.

IOTA has a unique idea. NEO is similar to other projects. But what sets them apart are the hype and money that makes up their market.

I like this project
... but, is there planned Linux version of this exchange?
Thanks.
I will try using browser-based solution. Hope it's safe!?

It is safe. The private key is stored in your browser but is encrypted. Just make sure to back up your account!

Morning, campers. Me gotta pop in later, and catch up on posts.

But this second: is this us?:

134  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Help me recover my lost 99MNX on: November 08, 2017, 05:51:01 PM
It likely has not left your wallet. Have you checked to see if the wallet is functioning properly and that the wallet is connected to the network? The transaction has not been written to the ledger, even though you initiated the transaction yesterday. This means the issue is occuring locally. It is likely that the command is sitting in queue on your machine awaiting connectivity to the network.
135  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Cryptobanks investments. on: November 08, 2017, 05:17:47 PM
I was going to invest in Crypterium, but chose not to. The reason is because I don't see Cryptobanks becoming useful until cryptocurrency truely goes mainstream which may be a while. Crypterium wants to implement a full infrastructure of POS, apps, tokens, and other things that can only be profitable if a very large amount of businesses adopt the technology. I would look carefully at these projects before investing because they may not be feasible in the time frame they have provided. As for a quick profit, I think they are very good opportunities to dump quickly and triple or quadruple your investment. Although, this strategy is frowned upon in the crypto space so I would advertise that if you do it. Good luck!

Gonna be a good time for QRL when people realize their coins are worthless because of QC.
138  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A newbie just killed Ethereum on: November 07, 2017, 09:14:46 PM
Although this happened to Parity, this affects the whole Ethereum ecosystem. I would not be surprised if people start getting irritated with it given there have been some very high-profile attacks against the network. We may see a preferred Ethereum alternative emerge down the road, most likely Waves or Qtum. Sorry to all those hit by this.

Look at all these shills.

Every project has shills.
