Sadly, Consensus is all but done yet we haven't experienced any boost in crypto market value yet.
I wonder what all the big players did during the conference. I'm thinking they probably had some under-the-table manipulation moves that were schemed in order to profit from the very volatile market that is cryptocurrencies.

There are many ways people earning in altcoin in regular basis. What is your methods for earning in altcoin?
Trading? Airdrop? Bounty? Others?
Mining. Yes you need an initial investment, but it pays out in the end. If you already have a gaming GPU you could use that for mining. But don't just buy a new one right now because it might not be worth it will all the incoming changes.

These questions are always in my mind, what will happen if people will run out of ideas for creating a project for ICO? we all know that ICO will only be a success with a good Idea a good platform, even if you have a team and time to do a project for ICO without an idea it is useless because people will not buy your token, tell me guys your opinion about these, maybe someday people will run out of Ideas, Bounty hunters are also affected if these will happen.
Imagination is limitless. People will always think of new ways to make money especially through such profitable means such as ICOs. In terms or originality, there might not be much, however, when you consider implementation and efficiency, there will always be new companies out there that will aim to do things cheaper and faster.

Since EOS launches its coin on Ethereum platform, they own ETH in billions of USD value.
They can play games with it and influence the price of ETH if they want.
What do you think they will do with this amount of ETH? Is it not dangerous situation for the ETH?
Scary part is that they will sell it to stay liquid. This is why some people are scared of Ethereum, it may seem like the value is artificial because most of the price surges are due to ICOs. However, rest assured that these ICOs also have Ethereum's best interest. They simply won't dump it all at once. I believe they're slowly selling it in a way that won't affect the market so much.

Not to rain on your parade but what advantage does this have over existing miners? And who is brave enough to test the software for viruses?
-----
To everyone else, I seriously would be careful with unknown mining software and developers. Some people will go through lengths just to scam other people. Please be warned.

How do you guys feel about
$5000 in XRP $5000 in WAVES
Hodling for long term returns
I feel really bad about those picks. I would keep a part of my investment portfolio in Bitcoin first and foremost then diversify into altcoins. This way, if Bitcoin explodes, your altcoin losses will be balanced out by your bitcoin gains. This is advantageous because even if that happens, altcoins are inherently tied to bitcoin's success and in one way or another, an increase in bitcoin value will also translate into increases in altcoin values (although smaller). For altcoins, i would invest in Ethereum and NEO.

I found out about cryptocurrencies when i was searching for "ways to make money online."
Luckily, crypto has been very generous to me and has allowed me some additional comforts in life. I will always be a supporter of bitcoin and crypto's goals in general and will keep my coins until i really need to cash out (emergencies only).

I'm sorry, but this is the WORST moment to buy cards
Asics FPGAs New gen Cards Cards above MRSP High Diff on all coins
No its not, the worst moment was 2-3 months ago. FPGAa are only rumors for me for now. They may become real players or they may not. Speculations. ASICs are real ofc, but my GPUs are still very profitable. Hi diff on all coins? Exagerrate much? GPUs are still the kings of flexibility. If you love mining you can earn good money still. But its not plug and play. It takes a lot of dedication, tinkering and research. No, it is the worst time to buy new GPUs right now. There are some many threats to new mining operations that if you actually did "dedication, tinkering, and research" you would have found out the following: 1. The Equihash ASIC will result in decreased GPU profitability for ALL coins/algos 2. The Ethereum switch to POS will significantly decrease GPU profitability for ALL coins/algos 3. New ASICs are being developed for ALL coins/algos and this also decreases GPU profitability 4. New GPU versions are coming out in June/July. That is less than a month away and your new GPU will automatically decrease in value. 5. Etc, so much more, do your own research kid. Regardless of how you see it, we are actually trying to help you. Although sometimes i wonder what for..

HitBTC is alright.. But I rather much prefer KuCoin. They're pretty new but they bring a good game into the crypto exchange platforms.
What i like is the fact that you can actually do some profit sharing using KucoinShare tokens. Not to mention discounts you get from trading fees as long as you hold those tokens.

With the Bitcoin-Cash upgrade happening tomorrow, are there any teams that have prepped an asset creation or utility for the smart contract protocol yet?
I'm sure there's teams with a finished product, waiting for tomorrow. I am curious what platforms or utilities will be the first to use the Smart-Contract ability on Bitcoin-Cash.
Bitcoin Cash is not worth spending your time on. I highly recommend you dump whatever BCH you have and rather invest in Bitcoin or Ethereum. If you actually do some digging and research online you'll find why so many people despise the BitcoinCash team. You simply cannot trust a company that puts profits ahead of people.

Yes that should be safe. Same as with all the other adapters you will be able to buy online, you won't really know the quality unless you strip the wires and check or until it burns itself up. I wouldn't worry about it though because people have been using these adapters for years now. I personally have been using this for around 6 months now and without problem. They're all the same mate.

Awesome. I'm so glad i bumped into this thread. TLDR: it seems like the Consensus historically pumps the value of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies.
I'm investing in some of the coins listed on there today in anticipation of possible pumps during/after consensus.

First of all, if you're going to shamelessly shill a coin, make sure to post an actual link to the website, whitepaper, or even a simple announcement thread. I can't even find REMME by searching google because i keep getting blasted with other non-crypto related products. If you had a more unique product name i could have probably searched it.
And yeah: your font is hilarious. (hilarious - an indicator of your project?)

That is odd. What color of lights are you seeing on your miner (this is on the front part of your antminer usually where the ethernet cable is plugged in)?
I would first try doing a factory reset. Just press and hold the button. There are youtube videos on how to do this if you need further reference.

XSPEC has been proven to be a scam coin. Just do a quick google search and you should find evidence that was previously posted here which shows that XSPEC devs were just doing it for the money. If you actually look closely at the project's github page it seems like it's an exact copy paste of some other blockchain and they even forgot to remove comments pertaining to the previous blockchain.
Pick ADA anyday over XSPEC scam coin.

Hi,
I am on a mission on topping up on my small amount of NEO but the money has ran out so I am thinking of selling some my other coins to buy more NEO.
My question is, which one I do sell?
1)xrp 2)iota 3)xem 4) siacoin
Very unsure as its possible one or two coins above could well appear on coinbase soon.
What are your THOUGHTS. Do you think this could be a mistake?!!
Thanks
Those are all good altcoins all of which i have in my portfolio. If i had to choose, i would probably sell Siacoin. Why? Because the decentralized storage market is very competitive and with competitors like Storj, Burstcoin, and many other, Siacoin isn't exactly outstanding.

After getting screwed in the Batch 1 B3, I got screwed once again after I received my B3. Right after turning it on, temperatures soared into the 80s, 90s, and a little over 100 on the chips. I turned it off within minutes, as it's clearly defective.
From what I've been reading, getting Bitmain to ship you a replacement at all is lucky. Am I dumb for asking whether or not Bitmain covers shipping for DOA units?
Thanks.
Dumb or not what else can you do? Don't ask for a replacement and you surely won't get one. Try and ask for one and you might have the same chance as finding a needle in a haystack, but hey, it's still a chance. Go ask shitmain for your replacement. Next time just buy the coin instead of supporting ASICs. Everyone here hates ASICs.

Many people out there don´t believe that Ethereum can be a long term hodling, they simply use it participate in ICOs, sell and buy bitcoin again with the profit. Do you think that may change this year and ethereum can be seen as the choice to hodl?
Yes. Ethereum is always a good investment vehicle since it is the future of decentralization. Ethereum is on the same track as bitcoin (exponential gains) and holders from years ago have now become insanely rich with profits. That however is not to say that Ethereum will grow more. It has more utility than bitcoin and should soon be able to overtake it.

The third quarter of the year is coming! What are your speculations about bitcoin and altcoins?
Third quarter and later has historically been good to crypto. Just take a look at last year's bull run. It was tremendous. All holders are definitely in for a treat. Seems almost too easy because all you need is discipline and patience to just HODL your coins and don't sell. Congratulations to all future millionaires of crypto.

Hey,
I’m fairly new to mining. I have 4 GTX 1060’s and 2 GTX 1080’s. I was having no problems running 4 1060’s and 1 1080, but when I added a new 1080 I’ve been getting GPU overclock errors. All of my cards are stock. I’m wondering what could the problem be? I tried using google but couldn’t find an answer.
What makes you say that you are getting GPU overclock errors? Can you copy/paste and post the error messages here? One thing to note is that not all GPUs are created equal. You might have the same model, brand, or manufacturer but the maximum overclock or hash rate can still vary. I would try restoring the overclock settings to default then slowly increment from there.
