Very interesting!  just as interesting were the news on the second series that you promptly canceled.
Could you still share them with us please?
good selling and good luck

I am sorry but I am not allowed to share any info about the second series in detail.

What I wrote was, that a second stamp will come for sure and that the crypto stamp will
be an ongoing project in general. The second crypto stamp will be more innovative...
Some people pre-scanned the stamps in the shops... also some workers from the post did this
and lost their jobs (!) - this won't be possible anymore... That's it so far and regarding other info
I want to be discrete.

Beautiful framed stamps. Goodluck with your auction  Cheesy

Thanks Krogo, love them too!  Cheesy

Watching. Curious to see how many bids this will get with that starting bid. The physicals market has been really slow lately.

Hey, yes at the moment the market is slow and it is quiet around the crypto stamp, but I am very sure that this will change
when people realize that the crypto stamp is an ongoing collectible item and every year a new one appears. So I am patient
and can wait if it doesn't sell for now.

Some might be more interested in the signature of the artist, but to be honest and for me personally the signature of the initiator is
more worth - he is a real visionary and crypto enthusiast. Hopefully, more big companies will have guys like him who think outside the box.  Grin

125  Economy / Collectibles / [AUCTION] 🦄🦄🦄 Framed Signed Crypto Stamp Set with Ethereum Holofoil Seal on: October 15, 2019, 04:57:58 PM
Hello BTC-folks and collectors,

Some of you wanted a proof that the post does hand-stamps and the FDCs I have are really handstamped in Vienna. When I called the post in Vienna and told them about this, they really had to laugh and didn't believe this. In the entire history of the post, there never were a fake stamp and the never had someone who asked to get a COA for a stamp. However, they were very clear about this all and told me, that they absolutely won't do any COAs for anyone; not now and not in the future. This was quite disappointing for me... but the woman at the philately who made the hand stamps gave me permission to use her business card, where people can contact her.

She meant she will verify, that she stamped them. I am not sure, if she is very familiar with English because I tested her and got no response...  Roll Eyes Maybe it would be better to call her directly and to ask.

She  also wrote this

Translation:

At Rochusplatz 1 in 1030 Vienna is the central stamp office of the Austrian Post. After the first day of special stamps,
favors of all issued stamps will be carried out here for about 3 weeks.
However, we do not issue any expertises.

I am allowed to contact you regarding the autograph of Mr. Nemeth.

Mr. Nemeth would still have time on the 2nd of September to personally give you the autograph.

Would 09:00 be possible for you?

The ideas for a further edition, you can send me in advance by mail, I then pass them on to Mr. Nemeth.

The cost of personally delivering the coins from Australia to Europe or USA is a deal breaker.   There is not enough premium for the math to make sense.

I'm a disabled 37yo that just went through a traumatic divorce, and haven't had a holiday since my honeymoon in 2014.

I am sorry to hear that and wish you all the best man. I know how hard such times can be...

All these stories behind are very interesting Smiley oh, yeah, if she is pissed that much, probably 10k wont help.
You honesty will help you on sales.
We never traded before, but i know you are legit. I just wanted to know how rare they are and how many people managed to get her signature. Heard your story now, thinking different! Good luck on a sale. There is going to be a buyer for sure, just a question how fast he will show up Wink
\/

Thanks for the kind words. I really hope so to get my expenses back and to get some gains for my tuition fees for the art academy I want to absolve.
But I am confident about that - just need the COAs soon. And time will tell.

The following invitation was part of the deal by the way and will be added to the double signed version:

Totally forgot about that...
128  Economy / Collectibles / Re: 🦄🦄🦄 H O L Y G R A I L S of the Crypto Stamp on: October 03, 2019, 06:13:55 PM
I actually edited my reply afterwards, because I thought this is not appropriate to say and I also hoped you don't read it. By no means this was an offense. I just was too pissed in general because of of kermi85s behaviour. I have a high sense for integrity and never ever before someone accused me to be a scammer... it seems I got a bit paranoid  Cheesy

Well in terms of the price, I think a price range between 2 and 2.5 BTC for the double signed set is totally fair.

Fact is, that the artist totally refuses to do any signings. Not even for money. Believe me - I tried it badly, because I wanted to get all of the frames signed by her.
She got tons of mails and even calls in the middle of the night. She was more than pissed and what I heard she almost had a mental breakdown. It went that far,
that she deleted her phone number in the net... So my answer is: Yes, she would resist. She is done with the crypto stamp at all.

So the only way I could get the signature was through a collectors friend who was at the first-day-event and I had to pay quite a high price for the yellow folder.

I also had to buy some extra sets for the frames. This was before the prices decreased.

Another fact is, that the crypto stamp will be an ongoing project and after some years these sets will raise in value.

Thanks for your appreciation in terms of the design of the frames  Smiley

"Collectors were able to get their covers stamped for a limited time"
From my eyes everything that was stamped after 11.06.2019 isnt FDC.
First day is first day.
Anyway you are hard core stamp collector and i wish you the best with your sale!

Almost every FDC you will find on the internet is NOT stamped on the first day. This is not what it is about... It is about the First Day Stamp Seal,
which is tough to get and which is limited for some time. It is like a seal, a limited postmark.

After this time all the rubber stamps get collected and stored away. We could say they "retire"  Grin That's how it works.

Fact is, they are much more limited than normal stamps and there are different variants.
Some made for the subscribed collectors, some made by the collectors and officially stamped.
Some are made for normal customers

130  Economy / Collectibles / Re: 🦄🦄🦄 H O L Y G R A I L S of the Crypto Stamp + PRE-INFO Crypto Stamp 2.0 on: October 03, 2019, 08:16:52 AM
Until reply from Post Office and clear answers i retract my opinion...

I already told you, that not everybody knows these variants there - so they are not able to confirm it and an answer has no value.

I contacted the worker who made the stamps and she will figure something out. I definitely will provide the proofs.

And again, do better research. The laser engraved stamps were made in a limited batch and just for subscribed collectors. Some shops also sold them until they ran out. Afterwards the Austrian post sold the hand-stamped version and collectors were able to get their covers stamped for a limited time. This isn't possible anymore and were a nice feature and service of the Austrian Post.

However, COA will be provided and hopefully you will be more polite here in the future; especially if you want to stay on the board... Somehow it is suspicious when a Newbie arrives and the first thing he does is what you did...
131  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [INFO]-Crypto Stamps- Collectable Blockchain postage stamps on: October 03, 2019, 07:26:24 AM

finally able to get the set!!!

Congratulations! Where did you buy those capsules?

I think this are trading card top-loaders. You should get them on amazon or a MAGIC the Gathering store around the corner.
132  Economy / Collectibles / Re: 🦄🦄🦄 H O L Y G R A I L S of the Crypto Stamp + PRE-INFO Crypto Stamp 2.0 on: October 03, 2019, 07:16:36 AM

FDC are always stamped with Laser and so is the Stamp on it.

There is no FDC with a manual stamp!!!!

The Laser Stamp on FDC and on stamp is the safety feature for it!

Again you are wrong - this image from the First-Day-Event proofs that there are manual stamps.

Even though "trust but verify" is  very important in dealing with any collectible, I can vouch IH is a legit guy! Ibought a holoset from him and the transaction was direct without any hitches.
coming to kermi's point, not all the collectibles sold on this forum come with COA , not all the casascius come with COA/digital sig from mike.
Raising a concern is different from accusing people!

Edit: the image is from Linkedin here and not manipulated (as somebody meant) - source link: https://www.linkedin.com/in/stefannemethmba/detail/recent-activity/

@gwu you are right and I was bit naive... I should have made photos and a selfie, but to be honest I didn't think about this; especially because I had no bad intentions. It shouldn't be a problem to get the proof, but this means I will have to drive to Vienna. Unfortunately I have no car, so this will be 5 hour drive by train. I am not sure when I find the time to get there and I also will have to get another appointment. I have no doubt that I get the needed proofs and all in all this will underline the value of the stamps. I am not in a rush with that, but hope that I can do this as soon as possible.

However, thanks a lot for your kind words and I totally agree with you, when you write: "Raising a concern is different from accusing people!" - the way kermi85 wrote was somehow abusive or offending and he could have just asked, if he can get a COA for them instead of spreading info, which are wrong and accusing me for being a scammer.

Lesson learned.

congratulation gwu - finally you did it!!! Really nice set  Smiley

The auction is postponed until I have the necessary evidence of authenticity. I'm sorry for the inconvenience. thanks for your understanding
135  Other / Archival / Re: [Auction] 🦄🦄🦄 Framed Signed Crypto Stamp Set with Ethereum Holofoil Seal #1/2 on: October 02, 2019, 08:43:08 PM
I appreciate your response. While all the questions might be overkill, you *are* trying to sell "one of a kind" items on a bitcoin website - and bitcoin does not ask you to trust anyone.  In fact, the phrase "dont trust, verify" is practically a holy scripture here.  So I believe you made a grave miscalculation thinking people/buyers would simply trust your words.

Also, unfortunately in this day and age almost any photo can be manipulated to show one thing or another so it's hard to use a picture to prove your point.  Perhaps if you show a picture of yourself at the event & also one with your username it would help?  I know this isn't ideal for OPSEC but its a start.  I haven't seen your username by these frames either, for the record.

Lastly, it's clear you've worked hard on this frame, gathering the signature, etc - but without a COA it's hard to prove authenticity.  I've put together several big items for different auctions and the people signing their names/autographs were *always* happy to sign or provide a COA and even take photos while doing it.  So some of the excuses I'm seeing don't quite add up for me, but to each his own.

Again, sorry if this is a big witch hunt and completely unfair, I just want buyers to always be careful.  Loads of scammers have come through here so you never know.

After reading this, I have to admit, I was too naive...  Roll Eyes and you are unfortunately right.

The photo is from Stefan Nemeths Linkedin page here:
https://www.linkedin.com/in/stefannemethmba/detail/recent-activity/

Not manipulated.

Well, I definitely will try to get a solid proof for everything. Promised

Damn cool works!!! Love them.

Are the cards - Poker cards?
Thank you!

It's poker size format but just a Quartett-kinda game.

Maybe you can do an extra tread about the Quartett and show the cards. Would be cool Smiley

Every item is linked to the main thread. Smiley
So are these cards: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5068739.0

AWESOME! Would love to create a card game with you together. TBH I also were working on one, but don't have the design competence to create it alone... The idea I had is a bit more complex and reminds a bit of a mix of MUNCHKIN and MAGIC the Gathering Cheesy

Cool work you did here. Wish you all the best with the sale!

The guy with the concern wrote this among other things:

FDC are always stamped with Laser and so is the Stamp on it.

There is no FDC with a manual stamp!!!!

The Laser Stamp on FDC and on stamp is the safety feature for it!

But he is totally wrong and doesn't know much about the crypto stamp. The following image from the First-Day-Event proofs that there are manual stamps.

I find it concerning that others have expressed concern over the validity of these products (since there's no proof, COA, etc) yet here we are with a live auction suddenly before we get good, formal proof that everything's legit  Huh Huh Huh

Referring to https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5189152.msg52627116#msg52627116

Hello Jack, I opened the auction before the concern of kermi85, which was the only concern. I edited the post with all the signed prints and added more info to make it totally clear. I can assure you, that all the actual stamps are originals, that the handstamps "Ersttag" and "Red FD Unicorn" are originally stamped in the headquarter of the Austrian Post of Vienna and that all signatures are 100% real and legit. I drove 600km to our capital city... just for the meeting and to get this all done.

To be honest, I didn't think about this and didn't expect that such an offense would happen... so I was thinking about how I can give you guys a proof in the last hours.

I am still in contact with the team of the post, but I don't think that Mr. Nemeth will give me COA or something like this... maybe if I can achieve it, to be the chosen one for the next design... Honestly, I have no clue how to proof his signature. I just asked him after the meeting and was totally happy, because I have the hopes to finance a part of my tuition fees...

Regarding the first-day-stamps I will call my contact at the "sales and consulting shop of the philately" tomorrow - I hope she can verify somehow, that she made the stamps for me in the headquarter.

I am really pissed because of this because I am a legit guy and put much effort into all of this to create something really beautiful... I also find the way kermi85 wrote really mean and offending and it seems he doesn't know much about the crypto stamp in general. Fact is there are manual stamped versions and laser engraved ones...
140  Economy / Collectibles / Re: 🦄🦄🦄 H O L Y G R A I L S of the Crypto Stamp + PRE-INFO Crypto Stamp 2.0 on: October 02, 2019, 01:46:14 PM
i forwarded this to austrian post "philatelie service" they will manage this...

if they confirm this i accept this and believe you and will post the official confirmation here to underscore this

to many scammers in crypto, especially if its easy to copy things

Lol of course they cannot tell you about the frames and confirm this. They were never officially sold to customers. Something I never said or claimed. But I got them handstamped there after my meeting. I will try to get the proof from the worker there. Didnt expect that someone would offend me here and force me to proof that the stamps are real
...

I also could provide so much Info about the upcoming stamp, but I am a loyal person and not allowed to. So I handle this discrete.
