121  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Magi XMG mining on: January 10, 2018, 05:18:59 PM
Maybe creating a coin that increases the block rewards when difficulty gets higher could be a solution? The higher hashrate the more coins are produced. The price will decrease when more miners come because there are much more coins produced (inflation). Miners stop mining and less coins are produced. Less new coins on market make price higher. Hopefully price stabilize and miners get rewarded in a fair way. Mining difficulty would stabilize and not rise to infinity. Why is no such coins created? I know most coins are for Quick profits and intended to rise in price as fast as possible. But why is there no coins designed to have a constant price? This would make the coin more suitable for payments because we know the value of the coin. It could be a success for real usage and as a reference coin. When more people want to use the coin for real payments the price will rise but then more miners come to rescue and keep the value of each coin stable. The supply is created by the miners and the demand is for supply is created by users. If setup correctly it should even out.

Is that a crazy idea?
122  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Simple Cryptonight profit calculator on: January 10, 2018, 03:12:09 PM
Aeon is not comparable using the same hashrat because it use cryptonight lite.
As an example my Ryzen 7 1700 CPU get 1900 H/s för Aeon but only 500 H/s för Monero.
For a GPU the difference is smaller even if you still get higher hashrate with Aeon.

So to compare with Aeon I have to calculate twice?

The calculator takes an average value for AEON hashrate. This means that the calculation will be approximately correct.

For example, if Ryzen 7 1700 has 500h/s for Monero (Cryptonight), this calculator will use ~ 1800h/s for AEON calculations for the same card. The fact is that it's not 100% true, but I was guided by the logic to simplify the interface as much as possible.

All calculators count the approximate amount of coins that can be mined, but they are all fairly complicated. I just wanted to simplify and illustrate in a tempting way.

Thank you very much for the comments!!!

Thanks for explaining!

124  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Best CPU Mineable Coins in 2018 and CPU Mining Guides on: January 09, 2018, 11:07:04 PM
With my Ryzen 7 1700

Aeon (cryptonight-light) xmrig: 1900 H/s
Intensecoin (cryptonight) xmrig-nvidia: 500 H/s
Credits (Aragon2d) in wallet miner: 45 kH/s
Yenten (YescryptR16): 1030 H/s

I know also follwing coins can be mined with CPU but have not tried myself yet:
Verium
ROI coin
Zoin
Magi

Regarding Cryptonight there is a nice profitability comparison calculator here:
http://minecryptonight.net/

I have not overclocked my CPU at all so my results are without overclocking.

Can you minning more than one coin in the same pc?

In theory if ju dedicate different CPU cores to different miners by setting CPU affinity. Or by switching coin by time, like mining one coin on mondays, another on tuesdays and so on. I have tried different coins but not more than one at the time.

You can also mine one coin on CPU and another coin on GPU at the same time.
125  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: The next x10 coins for 2018 on: January 09, 2018, 04:55:00 PM
Intense coin is my guess of a coin that will rise 10x 2018.
It already have risen 100x from its lowest price in 2017.
126  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: How can he make so much money? on: January 09, 2018, 04:42:51 PM
If you mine and hold the mined coins for one year beore you sell them you get a higher profit each month of mining if the coins increase in price. Maybe your friend mined coins one year ago during one month and sells them now? Difficulty was lower one year ago so you got more coins and the price is higher now so you get more payout for the coins. The coins he mines today maybe he is going to sell next year?

Just a theory of how to increase mining profits.
127  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Is HD7950 still profitable? on: January 08, 2018, 02:31:02 PM
I have been mining Hush (equihash) and Intense coin (crytptonight) with my HD7950. This time of year it does not cost me anything extra for electricity because I have electrical heating and it is Winter here in Sweden. My heaters are going with less Power usage when mining :-)

The hashrate is similar to GTX 1060 but power consumption is higher.
128  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: which coin mining is most profitable ? on: January 08, 2018, 12:35:55 PM
Some new coins are not possible to buy on market yet (not listed on an Exchange) but you can mine them and later when they are listed on exchange you can make some profit. This kind of speculative mining can be very profitable but it can also just be waste of electricity if the coin does not survive. I have had some luck with mining new coins or less known coins.

Mining is fun. Maybe you should do a Little of both. Buy coins and mine coins.
Personally I made good profit mining last 6 months but who nows in future.
129  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Best setup for CPU Mining? on: January 08, 2018, 09:24:12 AM
AMD Ryzen is a good CPU for mining. Or maybe an old server with many CPU cores like intel Xeon E5 series or AMD Opteron.
Servers have high sound level and high Power draw so it is not so nice to have a loud server at home.
AMD Ryzen 1600 is good for the price.

CPU mining is good if you alreade have a computer powered on all the time for other reasons.
For instance you can have a GPU mining rig with simultaneous CPU mining or a server with unused CPU Power.

How save remove earning from masternodes?
Guys can i windrawal the earnings from wallet masternode or i broke something?

Yes you can withdraw the amount above 1000 XMC but if you withdraw more the masternode stops working.
Personally I am thinking of saving the rewards so I can buy a second masternode when I have earned 1000 XMCC (early 2019).
But I had to withdraw some two weeks ago and it worked without problem as long I kept 1000 XMCC.

Looking forward to some REAL NEWS on 15th. Not flaky "we are in talks with big guys" but cold, hard facts Wink

what do you mean? I can say that to make a realy normal internetshop for now it is about 5 mounthes.. What do you think about itns if you will look at roadmap? I think it is realy BIG job.
Can you give further details on what will happen or news this 15th of January?

The Intense Coin monthly newsletter is released the 15th every month.

Moon CHC zombies will keep loosing money while all other normal crypto investors are making great progress!!!

- they are no DEVS!!!
- no roadmap
- no progress/updates
- no MN payments
- no consensus in Discord
- MN count is going down every day
- etc...

Where is the "new" core developer Samps  Grin Not even one line of C++ code written by him!!!!
Where is Roli  Grin

CHC = great scamcoin!!!

I have not lost any money since my investment. CHC price is higher now than when I bought them.
I have got a payment from my masternode one day ago.
There are commits of new code on github: https://github.com/chaincoin/chaincoin/commits/0.12.X
I guess people that write code can be called devs?

My guess is that you try to talk down the price because you want to buy cheaper?
133  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [CHC] ChainCoin - Cryptopia & Novaexchange - Required update 0.9.3.2 on: January 06, 2018, 10:28:23 AM
Started my first Chaincoin masternode 2 days ago and have now got my first MN reward of 3.6 coins.
Looks like it works for me. Have to let it run for a while longer to se what average I get.
Will soon start my second node.
134  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: [BOUNTY] Official Credits (CRDS) Bounty Campaign - CPU-Only Mining & Masternodes on: January 05, 2018, 03:11:42 PM
Still no standalone miner created?
We need standalone miner and pools to make mining this coin more polular.
More miners, more interest for the coin.
Higher hashrate increase value and security of coin.
Pools are marketing. I have found some new coins when browsing mining pools.
135  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: windows or linux on: January 05, 2018, 02:21:00 PM
Windows free too, who said we need to pay for windows? only HOMO that pay his windows. All my windows rigs are stable for months. I think windows much better than Linux, see amd driver, miner, most of it in windows, for Linux you need to wait more time. So why stick to LINUX?

Free as in free beer but not free as in Liberty is a well known wording.
But don't you need to pay to get a legal Windows license?
136  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: windows or linux on: January 05, 2018, 11:25:54 AM
I use Arch Linux on Everything. But that's mostly because it is what I am used to.
I don't like using Windows. Interesting that Vega has bad Linux performance.
OK I won't buy Vega then.

I have not had any issues with nvidia and mining on Linux.
It's more like a hobby for me. If it's not fun I won't do it.
Windows is not fun for me so that's why I don't use it.
137  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][POW & POSe X11][MASTERNODE] Monoeci - MonacoCoin Projet on: January 05, 2018, 06:42:14 AM
I'm thinking of getting 2-3 dual core servers, os ubuntu linux and run them in my basement and use VPN for different ip addresses.  Is this a good idea to have multiple MN's for XMCC?

A stable connection without any downtime is important to keep it enabled all the time.
You can use virtualization to run many servers on the same hardware but I have choosen to run mine on VPS instead of my own server.
Problem is that my internet is not stable enough at home. I guess a stable VPN is at least as expensive as a VPS?
138  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] INTENSE COIN - Blockchain backed decentralized VPN - Hybrid PoW on: January 04, 2018, 04:35:58 PM
In my opinion INTENSECOIN could be in coinexchange.
It had 49 Million USD of trade volume (today) and it costs 2 BTC to be listed...

What do you think?  Cool

There are plenty of other exchanges that are much cheaper for a listing, and better reputations.

The real issue would be to find a good exchange, that is supportive of cryptonote bases coins.

Given one is found, The devs should start up a donation pool, or buy into it. Intense has been listing on 1 exchange for a long time now. It needs a bit of diversifying.

In my opinion they should incrase main pool % to get value to submit other exchanges ... No? Wink

But wait, 15% premine which is 150 million ITNS.
Why would not a part of that be enough to get listed on more exchanges?
Even if I think developers should be rewarded this is a huge amount.
Why not just sell a small part to these kind of things?
139  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][REVIVE] HumanitaryCoin [POW][CRYPTONIGHT][ASIC RESISTANT] on: January 04, 2018, 01:19:25 PM
attention

I would like to apologize to everyone, since day 2 I'm sick, I barely got out of bed.
For this reason, I am postponing the start of the campaign for January 5, 2018.

There will be a change in the currency used in the campaign's mining pool, it will be Bytecoin instead of Sumokoin, this due to the sudden increase in sumokoin difficulty

jesus...don't do that...the difficulty of bcn is extremly high and the coin has no value...did you calculated how many usd will we do per day in the both coins???

bcn has no value and it's not easy to mining...i have already mined all those coins and i can say with absolute certainty that bcn is not the best option.

you don't have to believe me. just do the calculations or test the coins: bcn, itns, sumo, sup, xun, xlc, xmr, xdn, fcn, dsh...

currently the Sumokoin difficulty is 4307515498 while the Bytecoin difficulty is 871632648 (one less digit, half.)

an example: with 500 Khash in Sumokoin, we would be able to mine one block every 5:20 hours, In Bytecoin with 500 Khash a block would be mined every 26 minutes or less depending on some factors.

the amount in BTC or USD will give almost the same thing, HumanitaryCoin is a Bytecoin (clone) Fork, nothing more righteous than we promote Bytecoin through the campaign's mining pool.

You can do a Quick check here:
http://minecryptonight.net/

According to that page Bytecoin give half the profit compared to Sumokoin and the best coins are not much better than Sumokoin so it is probably not worth changing from Sumo.

I'm mine ETH and IC on video cards. For Ehterium is not so important core frequency, as memory. Therefore, the consumption of electricity is less. And it can be immediately exchanged for other altcoins on the exchange. And for IC everything is ahead.

I Think Power consumption mining intense coin normally is lower than mining ethereum.
At least for my graphic cards (1060 and 1070). It is also shown on whattomine.com.
My 1060 is 70W for cryptonight and 90 W for ethash. But it also depends on settings of the GPU.
You can also mine intensecoin with CPU.

The capacity of the etherium production can be reduced to 60 watts per 1063 almost without loss.  Wink But for the ITNS, it is better to increase the core, which will lead to more energy consumption.

But even with higher core frequency it does not fully utilize the core with cryptonight. I Think best is to check with a Power meter. Should not be big difference anyway. I got cooler temps mining ITNS so my guess is that it draw less Power but have not mesured anything to prove it. Anyway AMD cards are generally better than nvidia for ITNS mining so there might be better options with nvidia mining other coins and buying ITNS.

However I mined a lot ITNS last year when difficulty was lower and then I used all my CPU and GPU's no matter of nvidia/AMD GPU or Intel/AMD CPU. At best I got 20000 ITNS / day with 4500 H/s but mining pools back then had troubles so it was not many days at that income. However the price was below 10 sat so it was not very profitable for the moment but I kept them. Sold 25% when price was at 270 sat to pay for the hardware. Keeping the rest. Who knows price of ITNS in future. Maybe should keep mining ITNS with everything?
