I have a few nooby questions.
Remember all the shares that were discovered recently where the owners had malformed addresses?
Seems like the transactions would have failed when attempts were made to send dividends (maybe several rounds) to them through BitFunder.
Were attempts made to get the addresses corrected? And where did those dividend funds go?
Those dividends went into the local account of the bondholder at Bitfunder. They were never distributed via the bitcoin address set up on the bitfunder account. So they were never an issue .. until bitfunder punted us out. |

What would be the best LIVE graph or stats to watch as this all unfolds?  as far as i know i just keep hitting refresh on mt.gox or look at my chrome widget. I am sure there is a better option? rtbtc.com has the best Real time stats that I know of. However, It does requires a small fee to use. Cheers |

Lab_Rat, I paid for my shares from my QT wallet --> Weexchange --> Bitfunder. Are you paying our dividends to Bitfunder wallet, Weexchange wallet, or QT wallet?

So the majority of the 25btc found goes to the pool? The way I think of its is , Solving a block is like getting a BTC Pie, The more hashes you contribute the bigger the slice of "pie" you get. Unless you find the block, then you get to "lick" the bowl. ;-) |

I still think it would be a wise move to halt all trading for LRM. We can sell the stock until nov.1st. So, if thousands of shares get sold at .07 that means my shares that were worth .15 wont be worth as much when he gets onto another site. IF I spent only .07, i would be happy to sell at .10, if i did that, I would be taking a huge loss.
I know Im coming off a whining, etc but this is a bad, long term situation for the bonds.. The only way to combat it is to buy as many cheap stocks as I can, but i cant since im in the usa. I could work with someone or go around the VPN route.
Bitfunder should have made it both ways. In the USA you can't BUY nor SELL. Or since the company is based in the usa halted all trading because its a USA company.. Something doesnt seem right.. I think the guy who started this is using it to his/her advantage.. the whole way this has been handled is terrible..

Does it go by IP address? If so, can't you use a proxy or something like that?
Probably, That isn't the point I was trying to make. Poster above seems to indicate that you could still buy. But that isn't the case for US users. If you want to be clever and use tor or some other vpn anonymizer then yes I guess you can circumvent that way until November when you need to be verified. ;-) |

Thanks, nice of you. But as I understand, until Nov 1 there is nothing to stop US residents to buy and sell shares. In principle they are not allowed, but in practice they can. Only after that point will be verification required to buy and sell and only after then will this be enforced. There is something to stop US residents to buy. I don't have "Buy" button anymore, Text says its Disabled for US users. So in actuality I cannot buy shares anymore on Bitfunder. |

Well, I don't know anything specific other than the obvious. Since LRM is in the US, he will still need to transfer buy/sell shares. And, since Bitfunder is dropping US support, he will have to move the bonds to another site.
Non-US users of Bitfunder should be ok to trade buy sell from the information that I see posted on the Bitfunder site.
You can probably pickup some cheap LRM assets right now, since US residents can't buy, only sell.

Not sure, but speculation is that he (Bitfunder ) is in violation of US laws and fears legal problems. |
