122  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Posts must be quality on: March 21, 2018, 01:42:09 PM
Yeah, good. Firstly, you should ask yourself which components can form a high-quality thread. In my opinion, there are several factors:
1) Contents: It is very important. You should compose threads which are original, innovative to catch attention of other users. You should not copy and paste; or more seriously plagiarise because those behaviours violate the forum rules.
Check it there.
2) English grammar and vocabularies: They should be used as correct and appropriate as possible to help readers understand what you write and want to describle through your threads.
3) Contexts: Your threads should answer questions in context. Most of users jump directly to answer the question of topics' OP. They don't care about whether it was answered and solved by other users in previous threads after the OP or not. Posting, answering like this is likely a spamming thread.
4) Formats: Don't overuse bolding, highlighting, etc. because those effects have its own side-effects which makes readers feel uncomfortable, make threads harder to read at some extents.
I totally agree with all of your four key points. Follow those ones, then users in the forum can improve the quality of their posts over time. They have to sharpen their skills day by day to make sure that their post quality rising gradually over time.
123  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Transend Coin | Xevan | POW | MN | Decentralised exchange on: March 16, 2018, 11:13:06 AM
0. Update Wallet v1.0.2.0 https://github.com/TScoin/Transend/releases
1. Add nodes. - no need to add anything
2. Deleted everything except wallet.dat. - yes
3. Synchronyze on another machine. - any PC

You are missing very important step. This is backing up wallet first before doing anything. If you don't back up wallet, and doing something wrong or your Hard disk destroyed by accidents, you will probably lose all of your coins in your wallet. Be careful, backing up wallet is extremely important to save your coins.
124  Other / Meta / Re: Merits all over the meta on: March 02, 2018, 04:19:05 PM
More of new comers only want to have income specially crypto currency is very popular but investors are more rare. Although both of them could really contribute spamming the forum,  but merit system can really eliminates accounts that cant help the forum because members could not maintain their accounts because of quality post that requires understanding which could lead every new member to be an investor.
I feel like losing my breath when reading your thread, which contains only two sentences but the second one is extremely long, hard to follow and catch your main ideas.
I think that your thread (above mine) is good example for how to write a good post (both format, vocabularies, and sentence structure - including linking words). You actually missed linking words, which made your second sentence too difficult to understand, in your thread.

Good ideas won't always result in good thread!
125  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [BTS] Bitshares #1 Fastest Crypto, Tokens, DEX, ICOs since 2014 (unofficial ಠ_ಠ) on: February 28, 2018, 01:37:48 AM
Can BTS rise up? The old coins survived for 13 years, so how to suck.Cybex EOS test, and BTS in the same speed
It will rocket up for sure. Personally, you should not worry about this. What I think you should do at the moment is shut your computer/ laptop down; let your coins in the wallet/ exchanges several weeks; don't pay too much about Bitshares in the next few weeks.
All lost are paper lost at the moment, don't worry because you won't lose nothing if you keep holding your Bitshares.
126  Other / Meta / Re: Is the Merit System Generating Enough Merits? on: February 27, 2018, 02:20:05 PM
I think you should not answer such a non-sense question. The more rare merit system is, the more meritorious high-quality posts are.  Cheesy
127  Other / Meta / Re: Is the bitcointalk merit system democratic? on: February 27, 2018, 02:17:54 PM
Yes, it is democratic system despite of the fact that there are abuser, beggers of the merit system. Those sort of users will be charged with expensive charges like permanent bans. I think you should not pay your attention that way. Keep focus on your internal changes to adapt with the system.
128  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: LUXCoin—New PHI1612 PoW/PoS Hybrid—PrivateSend—LUXNodes—Live on Cryptopia on: February 23, 2018, 04:11:29 AM
I have downloaded the newest wallet and i needed to redownload the whole blockchain from the start.  It is going so slow it is only updating 1 block per second and at this rate it will take another 3 days to sync the whole blockchain.  My internet is fast and my computer is not old, and i have a lot of  active connections.  does anyone know why it's going so slow,  or if its just happening to me?
Try the following

1. IMPORTANT !!!!! Backup your wallet.dat
2. Close wallet, if it does not close by itself, kill it with task manager
3. Go to %appdata%\lux and delete everything except wallet.dat
4. Downlaod and unzip this in the lux folder https://bootstrap.luxcore.io/bootstrap.zip
5. Download peers.dat (https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/416283023605235723/416283682865807370/peers.dat) and put it into %appdata%\lux
6. Start the wallet
7. It should start with "importing blocks from disk" while it searches for peers. This will take a few hours.

Windows
C:\Users\unsername\AppData\Roaming\LUX

Mac
~/Library/Application Support/Lux

Hi dev,

Thank you for the guide on syncing wallet. I remember that I have mined several LUXcoins, not much, and I have not upgraded my wallet so far behind current version. I almost used the second or third version of LUXcoin wallet. I have tried to open it but it can not be opened. Can I fix the problem and keep my coins, then transfer them to newest version of wallet safely, dev?

Thank you for your help if possible.
129  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Okay, enough is enough, How do you earn merits?!?! on: February 23, 2018, 01:53:46 AM
Wrong, some users joined the forum for their own interest, particularly focus on knowledge, discussions, etc. They don't care about rank. Over the time I have spent in the forum, by chance I have seen several Senior Member, Hero or Ledgendary even don't wear any signature codes. They don't care about that and ranking up process, too.
Recently, from second half of the year 2017 in particular, lots of newcomers joined the forum simply concentrate on getting free money from signature campaigns, bounties, airdrops, etc. I think that trend is due mainly to hot growth of crypto-ecosystem (Bitcoin and top altcoins for example in the last year). Side-effects of the movements is the forum now abundant with shitty posts, spammers, fudders, account farmers, etc. Merit system has solved and will solve the issuse. It's good for all users in the forum, generally.
I know you have to be here for a while and be active to move up in the ranks

You are likely too lazy to use search function of both Google and the forum. There are so many available topics about the same question as yours. You should search before creating new topics or new threads. After reading my thread, please spend a couple of minutes to look around following boards (Meta; Beginners & help), you can easily see that your question has answered repeatedly in many old topics and threads.
my question is..........
HOW DO YOU EARN MERITS HERE?

My recommendations for you to earn merits is be helpful, be creative, be eagerly to learn, be generous (to give your sMerits away when you have more sMerits in your account); keep doing those things daily, then merits will suddenly come to your account.

Good luck.

Best regards,
130  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Merit - how to up rank? on: February 22, 2018, 02:58:19 AM
Good day, everyone! Help me please advice how to get Merits? At the end of March, I have enough activity for the next rank, but because of the lack of merit, I can not get Sr. Member. Help me, please....
Actually, you are lack of 10 more activities for next rank (Senior member), at the moment I write the thread. Additionally, you need 250 Merit points totally for the rank, by which I mean you need 146 more merit scores to rank up.
In order to earn merits, you have to compose and publish posts which are useful, helpful, constructive, high-quality. those sort of posts usually help other users in the forum solve their problems. By posting that way, some other users will be satisfied with your threads, then some of them will sent their sMerits to your account.

Let contribute and Good luck.
131  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 💥SOLARIS XLR💥Masternodes⚡PoW | PoS ⚡Zerocoin ⚡txbit.io exchange in development on: January 26, 2018, 11:08:25 PM
Solaris has been solid for the past month and even though we have had some dips the coin always seems to bounce back up. From what I can see by the 1 month chart, people have been accumulating more Solaris and it also shows with more masternodes coming online in the past 3 weeks. The price coming down has helped the ones that missed out early to buy a masternode. The future looks very bright here!
Exactly! More and more people want to own at least one Solaris masternode, and they have been waiting good price to buy more. The fact is, one Solaris masternode is worthy and a little bit expensive at the moment. Therefore, the number of masternode will not be increased dramatically in the future, that means the ROI for masternodes' owners might be stable for a long period of time. It's good news for them, right?

New website and new roadmap almost ready to be released in the next few hours. Happy with the good news!

I have been a little bit busy recent weeks, so thanks for your information about the breaking new for Vsync project. One more day before something happen for our Vsync community. Actually, Vsync has had several good features, such as instant send, private send, fast transaction speed, and masternode of course. I hope that with upcoming released ones, we will see more promising, potential features. Thanks again and of course I give you one merit, that's all I can give you, only one.
133  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]RAPTURE /POW(NeoScrypt)/50% MASTERNODE REWARDS/GOVERNANCE/ our-rapture.com on: January 26, 2018, 10:56:27 PM
A quick update on listings! masternodes.online has us in the queue and we have a rough eta of 36 hours. Their site is great both as a listing and as a monitoring site and we know many having been asking, so we're very excited to be landing there shortly! Now that we've been on exchanges for a couple of days, we have the volume to be eligible for coinmarketcap.com....that submission was made yesterday and we'll post with any updates! We're checking with MNRank for a status update. They gave us an eta of 3 days and we're outside of that window now, so that listing should be imminent. We'll post as soon as we have information from them.
Masternodes.online is a good one which can and will give us very precise, informative statistics on our masternode and different ones, that in turn will help investors have an overview about profit of each masternode. It will be very useful for them before making decision whether they should buy and own a masternode or not. Let's go to masternode.online and try asking to be listed there as soon as possible.
134  Other / Meta / Re: Merit & new rank requirements on: January 26, 2018, 10:53:28 PM
Merit is indeed a positive thing in this forum and very welcome to see it and will definetelly help with the quality.

I think though that it would be fairer to start everyone's merit not with the required merit for their RANK (as it did)
but by interpolating their post count between their required merit and the next RANK's required merit
because right now someone just a few posts away from next rank is treated as if they have just entered their RANK
It is fairer if users have been allocated merit points which correspond to their current activities, not with the required merits for their ranks. Additionally, users which have been still lack a couple of activities to be ranked up to higher levels should be exceptions, by which I meant users who will be upgraded in the next counted round of their acitivities. I know that the idea is hard to implement or go back to implement it, everything finished by Theymos, so we have to accept and follow new rules. it just my opinion.
135  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] Cube - Security Platform for Autonomous Vehicle on: December 01, 2017, 04:15:52 AM
With its original ideas, the project might change the world entirely, specifically in transportation area. Applying AI into autonomous vehicles is excellent ideas, then Cube might become a huge competitor of Tesla in bussiness world. Good luck with your project, devs.
136  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: {ANN} Electrum Dark - fully-functional decentralized marketplace ( PRE - ICO ) on: December 01, 2017, 04:05:38 AM
Good luck guys ! may the force be with you and tokens will go to the moon!
It will only be fly to the moon if the project is good, by which I mean it's is a good one internally. I will wait to see its roadmap to discover and analyse how developers can work, develope the project, keep it on track and might satisfy investors' expectation.
137  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BTCZ] BitcoinZ - No-premine, No-ICO, No-Dev Tax - 100% Community on: November 30, 2017, 01:25:58 PM
I just created an account and tried out TradeSatoshi for the first time.  I was reluctant to try it out, as a lot of people are knocking it for being such a small exchange, but I gotta say the user experience was pretty good.  I just bough a bit over 13,000 BTCZ at 27 Satoshi.

I first was going to transfer BTC into TradeSatoshi, but the transaction fee out of Exodus was stupid high.  Instead, I transferred some Zen first.  Then I had to sell it on TradeSatoshi for BTC, which I could then use to buy BTCZ with.  Then I was able to transfer the BTCZ out to my swing wallet.

All told, took about 15 minutes, with most of that waiting for the transactions to be confirmed.  Overall, everything worked exactly as it should.  If you're on the fence about using TradeSatoshi, I can say from my personal experience that it works just fine.

Wait until you want to transfer BTC out of tradesatoshi. Its rediculous. Was $20 for $120 of btc.  Sad we have to convert to other currency like LTC ,Doge, XRP just to get our money moved for a reasonable price. I honestly hate bitcoin, Worst coin on the market due to crap slow centralized network and rediculous tx fee's........Very good reasons why I like BtcZ. I really wish Sigt would have had better devs and not been destroyed by stupidity. The tx fees were great and tx times were crazy fast like 2 or 3 seconds. I miss that.
Doge coin is a good choice for withdrawing money from crypto exchanges.

Why should it better than others and what is the point you are trying to make?
Withdraw Bitcoin is expensive with higher and higher transaction fees. So I simply recommend that we should use Bitcoin to buy Dogecoin, then withdraw those Dogecoins. Then sell Doge coin to get Bitcoin again at other exchanges. That is what I mean.
138  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][TokenSale] Metrumcoin on: November 27, 2017, 03:10:44 AM
By now, we can buy real-estate with Bitcoin in countires like the USA, the UAE, etc. The project has excellent ideas, which can be further developed. But the question is how to keep the project really under development and on track? there are abundant abandoned ICOs.

140  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bitcoin Gold : Make Bitcoin Decentralized Again on: November 24, 2017, 02:32:16 PM
Bitcoin gold is offically stating that mybtgwallet is scam (https://bitcoingold.org/not-official-websites/)
But on this thread on page 1 there is still a link to it on Wallets (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2284289.0)...
Why are scam sites still linked by bitcoin gold officals?
And why is the price of this shit coin still going up  Angry Angry Angry
It might be due to FOMO effects. Everyone are worrying that they will miss the train of Bitcoin Gold if they do not buy it as soon as possible. After the effects, diaster will appear. It's only my theory. Let's give the market a couple of days, then results will show up for you.
