121  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: January 12, 2021, 02:18:27 PM
Meanwhile, new bear attack. Looking forward reading what the experts think of all this.

I may be wrong but, I think this looks like normal market movement.

I had done some TA last night and assumed an overly strong rebound after the dip followed by another short dip before leveling off.  I'm assuming we will see some short up and down in the 33k to 36k range before leveling off and moving upward again.

I've been wrong before though.

*Edit - all of my buy orders have executed except one at $32.5 that was set to make me feel better if we dropped below my TA.

Observing overconfidence in the bounce back.  Buy order set at $32,500 for potential quick correction.

LMAO... just checked some facebook crypto currency groups.  Good entertaining posts from about 7 hours ago.

Looks like some regretful posts from about 30 minutes ago.

Observing Bitcoin trying to close the day's candle on the EMA 12 line.

Bitcoin is like a car which is very uncomfortable yet enjoyable to drive. But you need some skills not to drive into a ditch...  Grin

Reading the above quote just shows the intellectual and moral level of some of those American "patriots". I think many of them should probably be admitted to a psychiatric hospital for evaluation. The wiring in their brains seems seriously wrong. And the sad part for them is that Trump probably doesn't give a fuck about them...

HATE should be treated as a sickness, i totally agree.
Problem: Hate is an instrument of power. That's why Trump is allowing it. In his view it's probably freedom of speech, only with a grain of salt.

EDIT: I see support levels (buywalls) are rising with the price. Confidence.

EDIT2: All my buys from the last 24 hours just broke even minutes ago. Confidence.

Don't get too excited.  We are in a "bear market" according to CNN.  Remember?  Grin

How many people who sold at the bottom wake up tomorrow morning and check Bitcoin price only to buy back in higher than what they sold?  Grin Grin Grin

Anger is the easiest emotion of them all.  It is also the most misdirected one.

I feel bad for these crazy people for the sole reason that they are indeed angry and unhappy.  They are too uneducated and out of touch with themselves to really understand what they are angry or upset about.  Instead, the media and others gives them an easy target and out comes that anger.  Doesn't matter what it is... they just need a target to unleash their unhappiness on.

I wish that EQ training was part of our standard school systems in USA like it is in other countries.  At least then maybe they could understand their own anger before directing it at targets that the media gives them.

I'd like to take a moment and point out that in the last 24 hours Coinbase has seen 101,757 BTC worth of volume.

That's is pretty epic at these price levels.

Moment of silence for all of the weak hands we have lost in the last 48 hours.

Looks like Honey Badger is crawling back out of it's hole after taking a short nap.  All of those walls it ate in the last couple weeks was bound to make it sleepy.

Magic 8-Ball says good chance we are all slightly less poor in the near future.

I was waiting for an article with the MSM's favorite word when reporting on Bitcoin, "plunge".

Bitcoin Plunge Deepens Beyond 20%, Shaking Faith in Crypto Boom

https://finance.yahoo.com/news/two-day-bitcoin-plunge-shakes-042414396.html

Quote
“Time to take some money off the table,” Scott Minerd, chief investment officer with Guggenheim Investments, said in a tweet from his verified Twitter account. “Bitcoin’s parabolic rise is unsustainable in the near term.”

OMG, it's shaking the faith, guys. Shaking faith. Best to get out now.  Roll Eyes

Love when "the experts" make predictions after it already happens...

Every time this happens it actually builds the Bitcoin faith base.  You can only go through so many 20%+ drops and rebound so many times until your reaction becomes "Meh, this again..."
132  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: January 11, 2021, 05:08:46 AM

man if someone would have told me a few months ago that I would buy a dip @ 34200  I don't know what my reaction would have been..

I have no more dry powder.  didn't really know I had any powder, but found just a little more.  NOW I am really out of fiat.

Is it just me or do "instant transfers" seem not so instant when your buy finger is extra itchy?
You're not the only one!
But I would not advise you to buy on emotion, you should have a strategy and pre-set orders, then you will not be nervous because of instant transfers seem not so instant!

I wouldn't say I was nervous. My strategy... BTFD.  Wish I knew when and how deep the dips are.  Unfortunately, I don't hahaha.
No one knows for sure. But there is a technical analysis, when you make an order you can judge from it how strong the fall can be and put orders at several levels, like BobLawblaw does  Roll Eyes

Yeah totaly understood.  I've been doing that too but, all my TA set orders got filled. I didn't feel like I was done buying.

Problem with TA and BTC is 10% of the time it works everytime.
133  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: January 11, 2021, 05:02:55 AM

I find this a lot more easily said than done, then when we had like 2013 $150 BTC prices and it dipped 1/3 down to 'gasp' $100 for a BTC!

Sadly, I can't fully relate to this. I can only wish I knew what it was like to buy BTC at $150.  But, I totally get your point.

$34k BTC will have to do for today. Wink
134  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: January 11, 2021, 04:50:22 AM
I can just see headlines now...

BITCOIN CRASHES  to 35K!!!

And just like that, all the taxi drivers and Grandmas who fomo bought at 41k, promptly sell their $10 worth of Bitcoin on Robinhood so they don't lose everything....

They will use some catchy word like "Tumbles" or "Collapses".  Triggers more emotion.

Bulls deeming sub $37k bitcoin unacceptable and buying it up quick.  Question is, how much more ammo do the bears have?

Looks like the sale is over! Congrats to those who managed to grab some last under $40k coins!  Cool

Bought £350 worth (0.0125BTC) at the time. Coinbase was playing up though man, kept freezing. Wasn’t a big buy but I would have got more corn if it didn’t keep lagging.

I tried to buy when it was $35,500. Only went through when it was like $37,7xx though  Roll Eyes

That's why i like brokers. The prices are a tad higer, but they are set on intervals (90 secs in my case), so i can check out the moment the price hits the 1m bottom. Enough time to evaluate manual buys. Missed the low by about $200. This is fine, though.

What broker are you using?

I can't disclose because of opsec reasons, sorry.
Anyway, you would have to be of the same nationality to be able to use it (which is unlikely).

No worries, understand your concern.  I can research on my own but, was looking for a lazy answer  Grin

I've noticed with coinbase as long as it is open prior to the price action and you don't leave or refresh the page it seems to work pretty well.  However, if you leave the page or try to refresh good luck getting back into your account before the price action is over.
