There is just a discussion going on about backdoors that provide the creators of smart contract applications to shut them down even though they claim it is decentralized. Will your app be censorship resistance or is there any way for you to intervene?
i have no idea what this is about.. our app is not a smart contract same way the youtube app or windows is not a smart contract.

do you have more info so i can answer this better?

Do you plan to work like a Youtube? Can anybody post any content on your blockchain? I thought it works that way and then my question is whether it is possible to remove any content from the blockchain and censor it.
No why would anyone put video on a blockchain? A blockchain is just a very, very slow database, this would be horrible.
Our blockchain is used for the cryptocurrency TUBE. The video data is on IPFS, it's decentralized storage sort of like bittorrent but more advanced. Everyone on bit.tube is a storage node instantly, it works automatically in the browser. That's the magic trick, you don't have to download anything.
As for your question, videos can be unpublished when they violate copyright, we have to abide by the law, we don't want to end up like the pirate bay. But this is a centralization and censorship issue so later we want to put the community in charge of copyright review & reports/disputes so that part is more decentralized. But we have to build that in the next months.

These are basic questions though so please check the FAQ on reddit https://www.reddit.com/r/BitTube/comments/8lk12r/faq_frequently_asked_questions/ . If you have any more question let me know.

So, if you're against decentralization and censorship, why does your moderator keep removing thumbnails?

You mean _for_ decentralization and against censorship, right?

Copyright infringement is against the law, I'm sure you know this so if you're trying to be smart, try harder. If you mean those pornographic thumbnails and profile pics, just think for a second. Those get us thrown off the android and apple appstore, same goes for copyrighted stuff. It's already happened once and lawyers are bloody expensive. Right now we move everything pornographic to xxx.bit.tube anyway so it doesn't show on normal bit.tube or the app. We don't actually remove videos unless we have to.

HI can you give the adress for the porno content?  Cheesy Grin Roll Eyes Cool

nice try, but… it's nothing like a legit script param.
If your config file is named config.bittube, param is simply:

-c config.bittube

Hi JCE-Miner,

I already tryed this but the problem is the same.

Doned a print:

Thanks  Grin

looks like your commandline argument should be config.bittube.txt

Doesn t work too.. Its very strange!! Smiley

Hi doktor,

We can see the stale shares in statistics pressing s in your miner right?

yes,
Accepted(Stale)/Total shares: 42(1)/42 (100.0%)

Thanks

Hello
I have a few rigs & have tried SRB miner for a few days now ,the hashrate is high compared to XMR-STAK & xmring .The only problem is that on the pool side its showing a reduced hashrate of 10-15% .What till be the reason for this ?.
I have used the same port as XMR stak
Thanks

You probably got a lot stale shares, download latest 1.6.4 v and use --sendallstales parameter in bat, it will probably increase your effective hashrate

Doc, is there any quick way to know pool support your --sendallstales command. (U tell in previous post that some pool don't support and may lose hashrate/share, right?, correct me if i wrong).

I will test new ver.

Thanks

If the pool pays for stale shares then you will benefit from using --sendallstales, if it's not accepting stales you will get that stale share rejected. So there is nothing for you to loose.
What can happen is if you are mining on low difficulty and you find a lot of shares / minute, and your pool does not accept stale shares, and a job switch occurs and miner sends all those shares from the previous job, and the pool rejects them, and because you had a lot of rejects in short time, it can ban you for a time. This is the worse that can happen, but on pools that have vardiff set OK, and you find approx 6-10 shares / minute you can only win with this option turned on.

How can i insert the config for my ryzen 3 2200g .

Im tryed :

jce_cn_cpu_miner%BITS%.exe -c CONFIG==config.bittube --any --forever --variation %FORK% --low -o %POOL%:%PORT% -u %WALLET% -p %PASSWORD% %SSL% %*

But no sucess open my config for the cpu  Roll Eyes

If you have a Vega, and want to mine V7 algos, use Adrenaline 18.6.1 drivers, if you want to mine Heavy algos, use Adrenaline 18.3.4

will try Smiley
132  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: HP Server Power Supply on: July 09, 2018, 04:41:36 PM
Hi guys,

Could we use an 1200 hp server supply for vega 56 mining?

I want to build a rig with 12 vegas. Smiley Probably will use an atx evga  750 watts power supply for Mb, ssd and 2 -3 vegas for example. And 2 X 1200 hp power supply for 9-10 vegas.

My doubt is, In the breakout board i have an 6 pin output.

My vega consomes 175 watts optimized and underclocked. But if wattman crashes sometimes they go to 2xx watts.  Cool

Its ok to use this supply and breakout board with 6 pin connectores and  n 6-Pin Male To 2 x 8-Pin (6+2) Male PCI Express Wire 16AWG  anyway?

The 6 pin connector could handle this wattage, what is the limit?

Thanks

You definitely need to use 2 1200. It would be better to take the 2400W HP psu.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2616526.0

Just buyed 2 hp power supplys  of 1200 watts  and one evga 750 for motherboard and 2 gpus etc..Smiley  totally power from wall is 1750 watts for 9 gpus.

One strange thing happens, when i power on the system , sometimes the gpus dont start, and i dont see the fans running, and consequently they are not recognizes in windows if i leave this way. I have to poweroff and power on quickly and voilá. I have all the fdd cables connected to the power supplys and the same power supply for riser and gpu pcie power.

What could it be this?

Thanks

Hi doktor,

Nice job,

Testing version 1.6.3 with heavy and cryptov7 i got better hashes in vega (30hs more) Smiley

Using the bittube v2 algo i got a less hash , 900 hs.. instead of 15xx..

I tell about this problem some posts ago even in prevous version after a time the hash drop a lot , in bitube algo. Shocked

Can you check your kernel for this algo. Smiley

Im on 1709 windows version and using 18.6.1 amd drivers  Cool

Thanks

I can't replicate this, as when using the 'pre-heating' trick on bittube algo i get a hashrate of ~1580hs and it stays like that for hours +- a few %.
Also no one else reported this here on the forum except you, but i have a few people i know they mine bittube and don't have this problem.

Its strange but happened..

What is the pre heating trick?

I tested in 2 pcs with one vega56 and its ok  Wink but on vega64 have the problem i mencioned in this version.
In version 1.6.2 a mine with vega64 in 158x hashes  Roll Eyes

Could be the 18.6.1 drivers?

Thanks

134  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: SRBMiner Cryptonight AMD GPU Miner V1.6.3 on: July 09, 2018, 01:30:58 PM
V1.6.3
- More speed on Vega56 cards on every algo (probably on Vega64 and VegaFE too, i don't have them to test)
- Added parameter --enableduplicategpuid (used in start.bat), that enables to use the same gpu id in gpu_conf multiple times
- Removed useless kernels 3 and 4
- Removed useless CPU opencl support

+ Vega cards should get even more speed than in previous version (tested with adrenaline 18.3.4)

+ Added parameter --enableduplicategpuid (in .bat) which basically allows you to do something like this :

"gpu_conf" :
[
   { "id" : 0, "intensity" : 120, "worksize" : 8, "threads" : 1},
   { "id" : 0, "intensity" : 120.5, "worksize" : 8, "threads" : 1},
]

So instead of using the same settings for every thread on same GPU, you can define different intensity for example for one thread.
This way maybe you can squeeze out a little more hash from your GPU.

On initialisation this is displayed as DIFFERENT GPU'S, but on hashrate display threads of same gpu are merged, so a per gpu hashrate is still displayed, not a per thread speed.

+ Removed a few useless things like kernels 3&4, and CPU OpenCL support, nobody used these but they just took me more time when implementing something new

doktor,

this is happening mining bittubev2 in v1.6.2,
in other rigs is the same.. after a time i got an hasdropped.

Take a printscreen:

https://ibb.co/mnEFbo

Thanks

you need to crank up the fans to 3000rpm because hbm gets too hot that is why your hash is jumping.

Hi Doktor,

But on heavy or cryptonight doesn t occur that.  I have found  a sweet spot to avoid the throthling..

Just tested in a vega 56 putting the fans to maximum and in a vega 64 and its the same after one hour aproximally happens what i described.

With other miners doesn t ocurr that.

Could be something in your miner for bittubealgov2.. ?

Next version peek, Vega56 bittubev2 algo :

Dok,

Have u using the softpowerplaytables?

I only get this hashes with my gpu on 1592 Mhz, but consomes 150 watts anyway Smiley

Thanks

with powerplay tables you can only save energy, if you get this hashes with 1592mhz then your miner config is not good

OR have GPU with hynix memori . Only samsung have this HR.

Ths is referal veg56 card with samsung:

and this is vega56 nitro+ with hynix: hynix is BAD and have  bad HR and use more power.

yes its samsung and from gearbest an yeston brand (just got lucky)

With new drives i just think we dont need softpowertables, in my hwinfo info i got in gpu clock 1430mhz, even that in overdriventool or srbminer appear 1592 mhz Smiley From wall i got 145 watts Smiley

Can you share your printscreen of hwinfo?
