121  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] FPGA-Cluster 26Gh/s on: June 29, 2013, 03:42:43 AM
Where oh where are all the people that buy FPGAs because you can do something else with them other than mine? Surely one of them will step forward and gladly pay 120 BTC for equipment worth less than half that  Roll Eyes

As I said, I won't mine with them.  I'd use them for other projects.

Menig: Go on hkinventory, post an RFQ for XC6SLX150-3CSG484 (same IC on the ztex) and say quantity 100, reballs ok.  You'll get a deluge of suppliers from Shenzhen offering them at $40-$50 USD each.  Anyone who quotes AVNET, Digikey, etc are only useful for sourcing prototyping parts with short turn around.  They just buy from the same Chinese suppliers on hkinventory or alibaba for < 5k lots from Xilinx.

I really want to find the fpga parts for 50-60 dollas...

124  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The DEA Seized Bitcoins In A Silk Road Drug Raid on: June 28, 2013, 09:04:21 PM
The point of this is, even the DEA is forced to accept Bitcoins value.

That's what crossed my mind as well.  Somewhere in the American government is the belief that Bitcoin is a currency.  Who still believes Bitcoin is monopoly money?  Even the government is saying otherwise.

your so right, they are going to take a strike at bitcoin because they are not collecting revenue off this currency.
125  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The DEA Seized Bitcoins In A Silk Road Drug Raid on: June 28, 2013, 08:11:40 PM

126  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: [POLL] Should Butterfly Labs (BFL) get a Scammer tag? on: June 28, 2013, 07:47:57 PM
I don't see why they should get a scammer tag. They haven't scammed anyone yet, are offering refunds, and as far as I've seen they're starting to be delivered. I have faith that they'll deliver soon.

I agree Lets all get together and make a huge group buy and buy as many units as possible so we can get preferred treatment and jump the line. We can all meet at a convention and video tape a group video of us running our units giving BFL a great media exposure. That alone will get our units quicker.

Just imagine the love and peace we can bring to the world as we show that BFL is good and loves everyone.

Oh my gosh I'm think I'm gonna cry.

they dont care! there is no prefered treatment. they wont even budge on the phone, so i know that they dont bother with dealing with people they have no social connections to the outside!
