121  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Qt Bitcoin Trader [Open Source secure trading client for Mac/Windows/Linux] on: August 02, 2014, 04:32:40 AM
Hello,

Any chance to add Coinsetter? It's a very professional platform run by real Wall Street people. Even better exchange engine than Bitstamp.

Here is their API link:

https://www.coinsetter.com/api/

We hope to see it soon (replacing MtGox)!! Cheesy

Thanks!!!
122  Economy / Exchanges / Re: bitstamp Withdrawal to SEPA on: July 31, 2014, 07:21:53 AM

Are you guys having BTC withdrawal issues?
Can you check please?

I keep seeing this horrible "Large withdrawal" delay thing in their website and can't even withdraw 0.1 BTC...!!!

Please PM me. Thx!
123  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: BitcoinWisdom.com - Live Bitcoin/LiteCoin Charts on: July 26, 2014, 05:53:06 AM
Just to let you know, if you don't know it already, that OKCoin has opened their International section (http://www.okcoin.com, separate from the Mainland site http://www.okcoin.cn),
trading BTCxUSD and LTCxUSD.

However their volume is still tiny (less than 30 BTC -- not kBTC -- in the last 24 hours).  The order book is not visible to unregistered readers it seems.

They just opened this new international OKCoin exchange in USD 1-2 days ago I believe. I'm sure it'll get lots of traction so it'll be great to add it soon! :-)
124  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: BitcoinWisdom.com - Live Bitcoin/LiteCoin Charts on: July 25, 2014, 08:36:38 AM
Hi,

Coinsetter just went live (in fact they also have APIs).

Would it be possible to add that exchange? It's bound to be one of the most professional/secure exchanges directly in Wall Street.

Thanks
125  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Who owns IP 54.186.45.113? on: July 17, 2014, 09:37:04 AM
Gotta be MegaBigPower.
They used to be retail but then they transitioned to the dark side. :-)
126  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANN: BITMAIN has Tested Its 28nm Bitcoin Mining Chip BM1382 on: July 13, 2014, 04:09:45 AM
Hahahaha. What part of from the "10th to the 20th" and "Maybe the 14th" people find so difficult to comprehend?

And in preparation for additional future whining, yes, in two days it will be the 14th so if it doesn't ship by then please also refrain from trying to understand what "maybe" means... :-)
127  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: HELP - Ghash.io - Where are account settings ? Set difficulty ????? on: June 25, 2014, 10:20:30 PM
In fact the settings are still only available on cex.io (one of a few shortcomings of the partner sites).

On cex.io click on the little downarrow right beside your name in the upper right corner and select profile.

There you will for one find the "mining settings" tab in which you can set a default stratum difficulty for all workers (16 is minimum).

To set automatic payout you need to go to the "auto payout" tab, click "add payee", enter a name for the "payee", your bitcoin address and set the payout amount to 100% so everything is paid to that one address.

If you have more than one miner/worker you can set the difficulty per worker on ghash.io by clicking on "workers" in the upper left. In the table that shows the workers you can then click inside the difficulty field of the according worker and edit the difficulty by typing the new one in.

BTW, I noticed an error with Ghash.io. My miner is set to the US mining pool but when I visit gnash.io, the UK pool is displayed (which doesn't seem editable either). Any way to correct this?
128  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANN: BITMAIN has Tested Its 28nm Bitcoin Mining Chip BM1382 on: June 24, 2014, 08:10:15 AM
Bitmain miners are one of the most stable and reliable miners, I've had. Very hard to top.
129  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANN: BITMAIN has Tested Its 28nm Bitcoin Mining Chip BM1382 on: June 24, 2014, 02:26:11 AM
I think that miners has to focus like a laser on what's the most important-highest ROI and drive manufacturers to provide one through the power of our purse (don't get on on sucky deals). If it is a hobby (and I respect this very much), then every new hardware is exciting as well.

The focus is certainly not on the highest ROI,  typically there will be a claim about some marvelous power efficiency, then the bottom line will be the miner still draws several hundred watts. Overclocking is FOTM not underclocking, and that's whats driving up the difficulty spoiling it for all. The first thing I want to know about the S3 is can you get a good underclock happening like you could with the S1 and the pencil mod? 0.75v VDD core strikes me as a bit high. ASICminer are talking 0.55v with their 40nm offering.

yeah this gear if it comes at .8 watts at the plug for 500gh is nice .  but if I can down clock to 400gh and pull 240 or 200 watts it is every bit as good as the s-1 is.

I have made my mind up to not buy it at the first offering. I have 3 s-1's doing 420gh and 560watts   on underclock/under volt pencil mods  I think I am waiting for the kits.  Now if antminer contacts me and offers me some special deal /discount/ coupon code I may buy it.

Diff has shown it will explode so I am thinking two  25% jumps are coming.  I am not sure I want to buy into the teeth of that.  I can sit back and wait to see if btc goes up to 700 or  800 usd.

I'm also a bit afraid of the massive 20+% diff jump plus government auctioning 30,000 BTC. For some reason it doesn't feel like the right moment to get in.
130  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: I no longer work for Butterfly Labs (BFL) on: June 21, 2014, 09:56:54 PM
We seriously need to call all the hacker community to assemble our own permanent, auditing, self-regulated BitcoinLeaks branch and dismantle all fraudulent operations by colluded and even non-colluded crooks and cartels (HF, BFL, etc) and whoever else is involved. It is for the good of the Bitcoin network.

Too much money brings them like cockroaches. No different from drug dealing. These people are ruthless criminals. Not necessarily your most ethical type of venture entrepreneurs.

The name of this movie is called BitFellas:

- Barber is looking thru the window, calls Josh and says: "deCastro is pissed off with Sonny, why don't you have your boy BCP go fishing with him in the lake? You know what to do"
131  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: I no longer work for Butterfly Labs (BFL) on: June 21, 2014, 08:13:12 AM
That comment from the BCP shill about us knowing just a few pieces of a big puzzle just confirms the fact that there is a huge puzzle in place in which he participates in. Any honest guy participating in an honest business would never refer to it as a "puzzle" Cmon! He's just trying to further stir up the bottom of the pond to cloud your view from seeing thru it.

All I now care is about this hot Mexican assembly line girl ;-)  I'll feel bad for her if she'll now have to visit Sonny in jail.
132  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: June 21, 2014, 07:44:52 AM
Can someone just please summarize what's the best recommendation for BATCH 1 customers???

As far as I see things:

A) Gallo      =   You only get to keep 60 % of  your share in the XYZ bucket of refunds. Does Gallo add any value at all for such a huge take they are getting? If they add Batch 2 refunds to the bucket, your share will be even further diluted, correct?
B) No Gallo =   Free riding. You get to keep 100% of your share in the XYZ bucket of refunds. This bucket includes everyone by default?

*Is that how it works??
*Is the bucket of refunds really the same or not in both cases?? Even if Gallo's bucket is larger, with their immense cut, would still make option B) better, correct?
* Does option B) has a significantly smaller probability of getting refunds than option A) for MORTAL customers like us (exclude Liquibits from the equation )

Again this is a question specifically from BATCH 1 pre-orders standpoint. Thanks.

133  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bubble incoming! $3800 - $4000 expected on: June 18, 2014, 08:53:24 AM
If that natural bubble happens, looking in hindsight, doesn't it all sound so perfect, like it was meant to be, almost biblical, isn't it?? :-)

Think about it, the Silk Road issue created an auction that MIGHT actually just help push the price a bit and get the attention that it had previously lost with the China ban crap storyline. It's like Bitcoin is finally getting vindicated.

As a technologist and small investor, I've been analyzing Bitcoin for over a year every single day like no other technology ever caught my attention. I went thru the entire Internet and networking cycles since the first days and I don't remember being as cautiously excited as I am now for bitcoin.

My analysis indicates that the #1 threat for bitcoin are the *offline* blockchains, think of private/corporate blockchains that some companies or prospects of companies seem to want to employ for privacy or proprietary purposes. This would cause a fragmentation of the main bitcoin network.

Risk #2 is potentially long technology cycles where the cost to run nodes (not even mining) might offset the benefit of running nodes and   cause a decline in their number. In addition, a lower monetary incentive to mine by small users would diminish the number of nodes and overall power of the network. This would cause risk #3: potential centralization/ 51% attacks.

There are still many factors playing out so it's difficult to assess the true systemic risk that couldn't be reduced anymore.
134  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: [GUIDE] BitFury Miner Support/Tuning on: June 01, 2014, 03:19:57 AM
For one of m-boards, the cables that connect the PSU with the rPI seem to be getting hotter and hotter over time. In fact, the white connectors are starting to get brownish.  I have not done any over clocking.

Another board with even more h-cards is actually cooler than the one I mentioned before. The PSU supports more power than what the set of m-boards consume.

Does anyone know why this might be happening? Any workarounds? :-/

What's the best/largest volume/trusted DigiByte-specific pool or multi-coin pool out there where I can specifically designate Digibyte for mining?
136  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Qt Bitcoin Trader [Open Source secure trading client for Mac/Windows/Linux] on: May 20, 2014, 10:33:03 PM
Hello,

I just noticed that in the Mac version, it's not possible to minimize the window when pressing Command+W  , which is the standard shortcut in Mac.
Only Command+Q works, which completely closes and shutdown the app as expected.

137  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][AUTO-SWITCH] Profit-switch auto-exchange pool: CleverMining.com on: May 18, 2014, 07:15:02 PM
Hi,

It seems like the website indicates to add this parameter  double dash scrypt  "-- scrypt"  to the configuration. However, my miner web interface only allows me to add these fields:  Pool Address, PoolID/User and password.

So how can I add the scrypt parameter ??

Thanks
