121  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: IxCoin is a SCAM on: November 03, 2013, 04:17:27 AM
A fix was committed to address the concerns about the hard limit at 21M ixcoin. Thanks Genjix.

https://github.com/ixcoin/ixcoin/commit/7110ddf25667f059ebcee159963b6703fff53e13

If you have any comments/suggestions/reservations concerning this, please respond or post on http://ixcoin.org/forum.

What happened to the forum, the link gives an error message?

What happened to the ixCoin.info site, it's just a blank page now?

What happened to the ixCoin.net site, it's something weird and doesn't look in any way related to ixCoin.

This is beyond scammy, it's weird as those domains should have gone back into the open and for sale pool of domain names yet that doesn't seem to have happened.

Can you comment on this?

Can anyone comment on this?  TIA.
122  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: -- Miner's Official Coin LAUNCH - NUGGETS (NUGs) -- on: November 03, 2013, 03:18:32 AM

Is it me or is this Vlad guy a frickin' genius savant rain-man?  lol?

If he ends up being right about the Bitcoin ETF when everyone else, including the Wall-Street Pros, are saying there's no way it's gonna happen, then he's gonna be a true genius.

If by some far off impossible, no way in hell chance he ends up being right about ixCoin, when 99.9999% of the living (and dead) population and especially the entire crypto world thinks ixCoin is a total (dead) joke, then this guy is gonna be totally famous (and friggin' stinking, smelly rich, on the global tracking list, with the NSA "Catch me if You Can" all over his ass) - making guys like Roger Ver look like one-time lucky Charlie Brown peddling used cars on the Vegas Strip.

Can't wait - according to Vlad it should only take a few more months to see the results, for the ETF at least.

For anyone who's done research, that's an impossible feat as the diamond ETF, which are like, you know, real assets with real physical commodities and billions of dollars in cash and political influence - has now been in process, in the still diamond ETF application phase for 3 full years so for a shitty unknown drug dealing virtual coin to get an ETF in a matter of months, well, that's impossible and for this guy to actually call it right and so far in advance, that's simply unheard of and mind boggling.

A few more months is not a long time to find out if we've got ourselves an insane, delusional madman or a frickin' genius savant with laser beams on his friggin' head.

I'm nuts deep in ixCoin, betting that there's more to this nut than meets the eye, so I'm either gonna be rich off this guy's advice or I'm gonna have a blast laughing my ass off at him...and myself for listening to him.  A win-win for me, as I can afford to take a small loss.  lol.

If you guys don't know about the dark wallet project you gotta watch their video.  Very inspirational.

And maybe donate to these guys.

So this is gonna go down one of 2 ways.  Dark Wallet succeeds and the govt will start with their own currency which will morph into XIC or The govt will succeed in hi jacking Bitcoin and Dark Wallet will then kick start another decentralized coin which the masses will embrace and that will give birth to XIC.

It is nowhere said anything about some cryptocoin other than Bitcoin, which is what makes the whole DarkWallet deal a comedy on it's
own. People with shitload of BTC attempting to maintain both their BTC wealth and some privileges Bitcoin still grants. You are fool if you
think, just like DarkWallet people, that masses will embrace anything else other than government promoted shits.

The end of freedom is near. Once shit hits the fan, people like Amir will be lined against the wall and shot.

To sum up my thoughts on your thread, you are no different than horde of profit-oriented people around here. If governments pick your
bellowed IXC and regulate it to death but add huge value to those coins you would be fine, no complaints whatsoever. It is very likely
you would be the first in line to accept the mark of the beast on your right hand or forehead.

STFU, bye!

STFU, bye?

Nice response, you non profit seeker you.  More people should be good like you.

Bahahahahhaa.

Wow, what a professional?  Not only did you totally miss his entire point but then you also show you're a complete idiot by failing to properly convey your thoughts without shitting yourself and proving to be the mindless moron most already knew you were.

And what is wrong with being profit oriented?  This is a new investment vehicle, so imagine people actually investing in these coins for a profit.

NOOOOOOO, the evil, the madness.  Bhahahahahahaa.

Or are you too obtuse to even see this new crypto industry for what it really is?  Or wait, you're here doing research for your non-profit organization or you're here not to be profit oriented but to invest your foodstamp money to give it away to orphans and widows.  Right?  lol, what a hating douchebag.

lol, the truth is you're just another broke-ass hater who can't stand seeing other people making any money cause nobody with a shitty attitudelike yours cares enough to actually be doing this for charity.

So clearly, you're just another hater and a total fraud!

In the future really try to not be such an assclown.

Now, STFU, bye.

Not a lot of big ASICS buyers here by the looks of it.

Well, I guess big players are too busy to post here......

Didn't think about that.

131  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: -- Newbies: What is Your Favorite Coin? on: November 02, 2013, 01:47:50 AM
I can see you are passionate about your opinion, that is generally a good thing. However, one can be as certain as you are only if he can know the future. I certainly cannot.

There exists a way to actually see and know the future.

Don't keep it to yourself! Spread the love brother Cheesy

Hahahaaaa.

Have you ever tried simply asking?

but! Bitcoin was a steal some years back. Maybe it still is Smiley

It still is cause it will run much higher but it won't compare to what you can make if you find the next Bitcoin.
134  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: -- Newbies: What is Your Favorite Coin? on: November 02, 2013, 12:55:34 AM

Have you newbies noticed everytime Bitcoin spikes, 99% of the cryptos get killed?

That's a hint I think.  So then, only maybe 2 or 3 cryptos will survive when Bitcoin really breaks out next year.

Good point. Do watch for those spikes, they make for an awesome time to buy in to your preferred altcoins.

That's a good strategy but there is a major flaw with it.

Bitcoin is set to go to Wall-Street and Main Street [soon] which means it's about to go on a massive run and not stop for a year, maybe two.

And if you buy an alt coin thinking it's a steal you may end up losing it all.
135  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Alt-Coins on: November 02, 2013, 12:48:21 AM
Almost all of the alt-coins out there are going to be a waste of time.  They're being created to take advantage of people who get super excited about different things and then get pumped and dumped.

Be careful about wasting time with too many alt coins.

Be careful about downloading files, seems like there's plenty of wallet stealers around hidden as alt coin miners.
Seen some more of this recently, so wanted to highlight the point.

Here's some good info from later in the thread:
1) Don't just trust the status of a member, anyone can write 500 posts and be a hero member in a short period. This just means that he invested some time on his membership. He can always decide that a profitable scam will be a good payment for his time.
2) Never deal with anyone without doing a search in the forum with his nickname, in order to check if he has scam accusations.
3) Ask for his coin address and always search it on blockchain.info or www.cryptocoinexplorer.com to verify if his address has the amounts he is claiming.
4) Be very suspicious about proposals well under market price or if he accepts your proposal under market price with no negotiation.
5) Look for the reputation of the member (his successful trades, in the form of vouches from the other party on the deal).
6) Even if he has some reputation, never send all the money in one transfer: send one first very small tranche (0.1 btc might be a good start) and wait for his payment. Send a second little higher tranche and wait again, etc. Small increments, because he might decide to pay you the first and second, to scam a bigger tranche. Always suspect if he doesn't accept to trade in small tranches.
7) If he has no reputation (including most cases when he is a newbie or a Jr.), even small tranches are a risk. Better use an escrow system, like the one of bitmit.net, or a trusted member, or you might need to send over 10 very small tranches. It can be annoying, but loosing your money will be more.
8] For big amounts always use an escrow system, unless the member has an excellent reputation.

Since this thread is a sticky, I decided to post this here. Any moderator or member feel free to move, copy or improve these rules at will.

What are the safest alt coins? (minus LTC of course)

LTC is safe?

Bahahahahaaa.  During this last Bitcoin run, the great [Silver] Litecoin dropped 65% in 3 weeks.

A 65% drop in under 21 days does not silver nor safe make.

No alts are safe, only maybe 2 will survive the coming onslaught next year.

Your best bet is Bitcoin, but if you want a chance at making a lot of money then find the next great coin which will not be Litecoin nor any of the commonly expected coins.

Diversify and Read up on ixCoin.  That's your best chance.

I keep thinking of other first-to-market internet phenoms, like AOL, MySpace, Napster, etc...but BTC does feel a bit different.

No, Bitcoin feels exactly the same.

The only difference is Bitcoin has massive money betting on it, from wallstreet to the govt, lots of money and power wanna see it succeed.
137  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Alt-Coins on: November 02, 2013, 12:35:50 AM

I love alt coins.

I love them.

I especially love ixCoin as you can see by my alias.  That will be the next Bitcoin.

Not much longer now.

My favourite coin is feathercoin Smiley

Common newbie mistake.

If I launch BeakCoin would you embrace it?  lol.

Where are you guys buying your ASICS from?

Please don't tell me BFL.

Uhhh, all over the internet? Lots of em here in the marketplace.

I love how you have an astute opinion on the status of scrypt coins, but can't figure out how to buy mining hardware. Classic!

Your reading comprehension skills are as shitty as your mindset and attitude.

Uhhhh, I know, but like uhhhh, like there's lots of different places now, and some are total scams, like uhhhhh, Avalon and BFL, so there's like lots of different places where people buy their ASICS and I'm like you know, uhhhh, curious who most people trust the most as of late.

Are you able to comprehend that or do I have to break it down to stupid(er) level for you?
