Taking a look at the top 100 list from the explorer. What's up with all the 10k SGL addresses over there?  Undecided

As of right now we're holding the premine in seperate addresses in 10k increments, as you can see

Just trying to understand why are you doing this? TOP100 wallets are now masked by the premine addresses.
Thanks.

Also waiting for an explanation regarding the 10k premined wallet addresses from TOP100 list.
Thanks.

1) DEV, explain TOP 100 wallets
2) seems there is no need in staking due TOP 100 wallets are staking ? Why you did such a way ? I am waiting for reward with 350 coins which are mature already and no luck

Lol when all the wallets staking ! We can forget to do the same ... We will never find a block ...

Hey guys, sorry for the wait, I was talking it over with the team and formulating our answer. When we first developed the coin, we came into it with the notion that we would be able to stake the premine--that we'd be able to get some form of passive income while working on the coin in order to pay for daily expenses--i.e. servers, exchanges, etc. However, we didn't completely take into account the effect that we'd have on the community as a whole in regards to them staking as well. I'll propose to the other members of the team that we stop staking until the network has developed more, would that be suitable?

@Sigil-Developer
yesterday i tried the first time to send some mined coins from pool to my sigil wallet (Linux/Ubuntu 17.04). Wallet is stable
and it seems that it synced - last Block was the last mined block.
But after hours my coins didn't arrive. Are there any problems atm at transfer? Which time does it normally take?
When everything synced my coins should be on the wallet - why is balance still Zero? Thanks for helping.

Which pool did you mine on? It's not a blockchain problem, but a pool problem.

My wallet is also starting to crash. Is this forked from TZC ? That coin had a similar issue

Yep, it's a TZC fork. I did notice the issue when I was looking on some older threads but thought I had fixed the issue, being that it was thought to be through staking throughput and its use of resources. Weird though that I can't get the issue to be reproduced on any of my compiled wallets, either on Windows, Mac, or Linux.

If your wallet keeps crashing, try and disable staking by clicking "Tools"/"Disable PoS Mining". I'll look at it further and try to reproduce the error.

Staking is disabled already, it still crashes. Only "fix" is to re-import the privkey into a fresh wallet and after a certain amount of time, probably the min staking time, it crashes again.. So you need to keep doing this over and over again.. That was the reason I delisted TZC some time ago as AFAIK it isn't fixed until today there

Interesting. Okay, next crash could you send me your debug.log file? I'll try to get to the bottom of this.

Which pool did you mine on? It's not a blockchain problem, but a pool problem.

suprnova pool. So, please tell me. If it is a pool problem, why are all pools deactivated? The offical Sigil pool is offline,
lpool also and sending transfers from suprnova doesn't work.

I think there are problems on Sigil side. Some weeks ago Electroneum Dev. told me the same, that transfers are
pool problem, but all transfers went without problems to cryptopia but no transfers from cryptopia to electroneum
wallet. So please, have a look.

Is there anybody here at the moment who's mining to a pool and sending transfers to his wallet without problems?!?
Would be great to know.

Sorry I just disabled the official pool while I get it back up and running. I'm sure it's not the blockchain though, as I've been sending bounties to and from many people's wallets and many people have been cashing out from pools as mentioned on the Slack. In terms of Cryptopia withdrawals, though, they do take a while and people have been reporting not getting their Electroneum--it's Cryptopia's fault.

I got a problem with the wallet. My wallet got an error an closed by itself, when i started again,  when I reopened a new address was created and I loss access to the coins I owned and were mined by the supernova pool, do you have any way to re-address them?

That's really weird, that should never happen. Try exporting your keys to a txt file--click on "Wallet", "Export Keys" in the upper left hand corner. Open that txt file and look for your previous address. Then copy the private key (The string of numbers/letters that starts with a V), go back to your wallet, hit "Tools", "Console", and type importprivkey <private key> (replace <private key> with the private key you copied)

I am using Windows Wallet, that tip not work out... I think i lost all my coins...8.37503122.  My adress don't show up in keys..

I'll send you coins to replace them, post your wallet address. Can you tell me further about the error though? Do you know what you were doing at the time? Did your computer crash as well? Did you touch wallet.dat or any of the files in the data folder when you were starting up the wallet? Did you accidentally delete the data folder while the wallet was open because you didn't know what it was?

I'm also just starting to experience issues with the wallet. I previously had it open and staking without issues, then I encrypted my wallet, and now every 30 mins or so it automatically locks and staking is paused.

my wallet crashe also.... loss my stakin time

Which OS are you guys on? Windows?

I'm using windows.

how about linux version ,is it stable?

Yes, Linux version should be much more stable. All the problems I've noticed have been happening on Windows.

Big up Sigil!

Wanna reserve Dutch translation.

Here it is already -> https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2721731.0

Will moderate there from now on! Already filled in your form.

IMPORTANT SIDE NOTE: the PDF-links in your announcement are incorrect (bounty program, mining guide and staking guide). I corrected them in the post of the Dutch announcement, but you should make sure every announcement has the correct links of course.

Thanks! Added both. I'll payout bounties in a bit
131  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SGL] Sigil - Decentralized, 0% Fee Crowdfunding on: January 10, 2018, 03:27:30 AM
The Sigil team is developing the next generation of crowdfunding technology through the blockchain. Our goal is to provide a more efficient, transparent, and secure crowdfunding platform without taking any fees whatsoever, instead using Sigil to fund the venture.
So I can understand Sigil is to do a crowdfunding platform? The Sigil coin is also used as a platform token? I am afraid that more efforts in marketing it? Does your CEO have a very significant reputation locally?

Yep, currently we are focusing our development on a crowdfunding DApp that uses Sigil as its main currency. As you can see, we plan to use 40% of the premine for marketing, and will put the money to good use as we move closer to the release date. The bounty campaign is also intended to help us market the coin and gain more exposure; the rapid growth of the community in even these early stages shows how this is working.
132  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SGL] Sigil - Decentralized, 0% Fee Crowdfunding on: January 09, 2018, 11:40:40 PM
Is there no set limit on blog entry bounties, as long as each entry highlights a different aspect of the coin? Really interested in promoting this coin as much as possible.

Nope! As long as it's exposure it's fair game.
133  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SGL] Sigil - Decentralized, 0% Fee Crowdfunding on: January 09, 2018, 10:06:04 PM
Any feature that makes this coin unique?

Not explicitly. But what it does do, it does very well. The current main use case is for it to act as a currency for our Crowdfunding DApp (Sigil Go), which it will more than excel at

What's block number begin POS?

PoS has been working throughout. It just takes 24 hours for coins to mature in your wallet in order to stake
135  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SGL] Sigil - Decentralized, 0% Fee Crowdfunding on: January 09, 2018, 08:30:47 AM
In terms of pool mining, I think suprnova is the way to go right now. They have most of the hashrate, and the official pool hasn't found a block in a long while.

About translations, I actually think we're pretty much done for now, just gotta finish up the ones we have reserved currently. Thanks though!

5% premine. Another useless crap coin money grab. And an anonymous “team”?  Lol

You're entitled to your opinion. If only we were instead like the awful ICOs, who launch with everything half-completed, spend ten minutes creating an ERC20 token, and do whatever they can to get you to send them their BTC.

On the other hand, we launch with a clean, working network, everything completed and polished, a feasible roadmap and the site already under construction. I understand that most people will never use the crowdfunding site and are only in it for the quick profit of speculation, but we will need some form of income if we aren't going to take any fees.

About the anonymity, that's our choice. I understand that it may look sketchy, but we'd prefer to stay private.
138  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SGL] Sigil - Decentralized, 0% Fee Crowdfunding on: January 09, 2018, 07:12:02 AM
who are the developers and the team behind it, id like to know if this coin is worth for the long run by supporting it from the beginning

Currently we'd prefer to stay anonymous. We understand that it may be a turnoff for some, but we feel that privacy is just more important, especially in crypto. Since we're not running an ICO and aren't asking anything from the community in terms of money, we don't feel it as necessary. What I can tell you, though, is that we have a team of three developers and a marketing director currently, and are interested in hiring more as time passes.
139  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SGL] Sigil - Decentralized, 0% Fee Crowdfunding on: January 09, 2018, 05:08:57 AM
how can I buy?

and

Do you have an online wallet?

thx

Sorry no online wallet yet. Just Linux/Windows/Mac. We have plans to get on exchanges but nothing has materialized yet, mining is currently the only way to get coins. We expect to get on exchanges pretty soon though.
If not a secret what exchanges you are aiming at? Thanks

Right now we're only looking at smaller/medium ones, Mercatox and the like. Figured we'd start small and build the community and then jump to larger exchanges. We'll ensure they're reputable though.

hi I run a website https://laymancrypto.com. I was thinking of writing a feature article about Sigil to add to a new section we will be adding concerning extremely new coins. Would this satisfy a bounty reward? My site receives a high amount of traffic and is mobile-friendly. Please let me know - thanks.

Definitely, that'd be great! Would appreciate it.
