If you bought it directly from me, sure. Otherwise you need to discuss it with the reseller.

Were taking care of it.

The one we selected to add to our offerings is the ARCTIC Pro with built in temperature sensor, it will be offered in 92mm and 120mm.

The 92mm puts out 43 CFM, which we found was enough to keep the Newpac's cool.

https://www.arctic.ac/us_en/arctic-f9-pro-tc.html

or you can buy the generic one now from ARCTIC without the sensor.
https://www.arctic.ac/us_en/arctic-f9-pro.html

they offer other options without the protective cover, but the cost is negligible.

our current "fan kit" available on our website runs a dual 70mm fan set. I will post the stands gt_addict used tonight, it will support a 120mm fan or a 92mm fan (if you use the resizer ring).  I also just finished modeling a retaining kit for a 40mm fans that directly connects to a single newpac/2pac stick, for those that are looking to run a single stick instead of a hub.

Cipto, please make sure your local pc antivirus is not blocking access. Also, if you have a newer ASUS router, they have a system called AIProtection that blocks bitcoin mining. You will have to disable that to allow this through.

Is 3 newpacs the maximum for this hub? If not then what's the maximum?

The GekkoScience Hub max's out at 6 overclocked sticks, depending on the power supply. the Plugable 7 port is 3 overclocked.

... Thank you for your sharing, and learning thru' reading, testing all the configurations as mentioned in this thread. Smiley

Same to you! please let us know how your build goes!

I'm thinking to introduce "Home Bitcoin Mining" into homes to my friends and relatives, and wonder what would be the best and low cost setup & configuration...

Thats the spirit of bitcoin, share and tell till your friends and family are sick of hearing about it!  Wink

I dont know about the laptop but we are working on a setup (still a few minor bugs) running on a GekkoScience base Hub, our dual fans in a modified stand kit and a raspberry pi. Its a modified version of Minera but that may change as its giving me fits.

The Pi's our primary option because they have a nice 7 inch touch display so the entire unit can be small form factor and all in one. plug in power and hook it up to your Ethernet (or wifi) and off you go. The pi and the fans draw power from the hub, keeping it a nice little bundle. Our interface is still in development but if you dont mind a little work, you could cobble it together yourself as well.

Well that looks a hell of a lot better than my disaster of a build. Good luck with your sales Smiley

Thanks armedmilitia, we can 3D print a custom case for you too, if your interested send us a DM and we can give you a quote based on a few more pictures.

Hey guys and girls, finally got our fan kits up on the site, its sized specifically for the GekkoScience Hubs.
https://www.419mining.com/shop/cables/gekkoscience-7-port-base-hub/

dual 70mm fans on a 3d printed stand keeps our miners nice and cool.
If anyone needs custom stands for larger single fans, let me know.

Finally got my two sticks up to 474m!! Dont know what ive done but happy they are at that speed. Time for a hub and three more now  Grin

nicely done! Whats your power draw at that frequency?

Appreciate your guidance, and you're right.
The Orico 7 port hub ext. adaptor is only pumping in additional 5V/2A + USB3.0 another 5v/2A so each only have 1A can't even charge a tablet.
Still on trial testing, will make the change as advise.

Will need to invest in a bigger plot of healthy organic hub with better pumping juice and proteins into this trees sticks... Wink

Thank you very much... Smiley

Check out the hub topic, GekkoScience recently added new high powered 6 port hub. (they are 7 ports, but only 6 have the juice for overclocked mining)

Nicely done RockyMoney! I see 10 miners, whats your setup?

what kind of price point?  should be handy to have a ready to go kit for someone starting out or not interesting in the trouble of setup...

Still working out the details, but It wont be a plug it in and go system. It would still require a little work, until i can get my windows version of a cgminer wrapper finish.

as for your pi issue, It may be a power drain issue running the newPac at 200Mhz. Kernel panics can be any number of things but with pi's my first go to is usually power. I would recommend you run the NewPac on an external hub if your not already. Take too much power from the pi itself to run the miners and it will cause heart attacks all the time.
134  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: GekkoScience NewPac Stickminer Official Support Thread on: December 22, 2018, 05:32:03 PM
I ordered one the the hubs from you on amazon, I ordered a 12v fan to connect to the bottom, will run 7 Newpacs as high as I can on that setup. Will power with Server Power supply that is platinum that is run on 220v with the pcie conversion.

Watch your grouping on ports 1,2 and 5. With a 6A per group, you can push the paired ports farther than the 1,2,5 set. At 6A, that gives you 30 watts per group, 15 watts per stick on the doubles, and 10 watts per stick on the triple group. I Believe with AB enabled at 10 watts, your best case scenario would be 475 Mhz.

Sidehack would be the final answer on that one though.

P.S. Thanks for the order, its in the mail  Smiley

So I'm debating on building a GekkoScience "kit" and thought I would test the waters, gauge the interest of the community.

Anyone have an interest in a bundle of 6 NewPacs, GekkoScience Hub, Power supply, cooling fans and fan stand? all tested and verified to say, 100Gh/s per miner? It would be a plug and go kit with minor assembly required (for shipping).

GekkoScience Hubs are up and in stock!
https://www.419mining.com/shop/cables/gekkoscience-7-port-base-hub/
make sure you get a power supply for them as well.
We currently have 7A hubs in stock, while you cant max out 6 sticks at at 650Mhz, it should get you up there. As soon as we finish our testing, i can post more specifics.

Thanks 419. Just trying to bump them up today. Seen 400m stable but 450 i kept getting them resetting and the hashrate dropping off.

So one thing I had to work through was that not all chips are made the same. they cant ALL hit 650Mhz, its overclocked after all.  For my personal rig, I start with a single stick and work that up to as high as I can slowly tweaking over days at a time, most (but not all) can get to 600 Mhz stable. I take a magic marker and write the max hashrate on the side and set it off for later use. do this with each stick you want in your rig till they are all done. You can either then run multiple cgminers targeting the individual sticks, or just a single copy, set the to the max frequency of your lowest unit. (the second is what I do, I'm to lazy to deal with multiple copies).

Watch your USB hub too, the plugable your running on should be able to run 4 at 600Mhz before it maxes out the power, but that's if they all are running at top efficiency and cooled perfectly.
