i'll tell you why, If you cant mine the right algorithm to the dev' release wallet , and have to use a pool that's mod front backend to only accept blake256r8 algo shares THAT you cant solo mine onto the wallet(BLAKE256R8), then I see that /those blocks as illegal and those coins should be removed from those wallets that have gained VIPERCOIN not through blake256 algo but through blake256r8 which restricts building standard blake256 shares into/onto it.
DO YOU HAVE THE PERMISSION FROM THE VIPERCOIN DEVELOPER TO GAIN VIPERCOIN THROUGH BLAKE256R8 ALGO AND NOT BLAKE256//ALGO
after all a lot of people like me have built/added to the VIPERCOIN BLOCKCHAIN and don't want to see it tarnished, and with regards to me setting a pool up, why don't start your own coin and shit on it
I don't understand that you talk about blake256r8, blake256 or blaaaa.. just simply go to github and search for coin2fly (CTF). in the root respository is the "sentinel" subfolder. just download it, and edit as i described.
HINT: google points you directly to the github with the right seach words :-)

For all which have problems with "WATCHDOG_EXPIRED":
a.) Took a sentinel from SAROS, CTF or another coin, which is based on the same codebase-fork.
b.) Unpack the source to a temp. working folder, but donīt install the scripts yet!
c.) search & replace in ALL the scripts the "oldcoinname" (i.e. "saros") and replace it with "bankitt"
d.) rename all files, which contains in partly the old coinname and rename the files partly to bankitt
(sample: saros_config.py becomes bankitt_config.py, etc.)
e.) after renaming all things, one more edit: in the file "bankitt_config.py" search for the old "default_port" number in Line 37 and change it to 6116
f.) install this scripts in the final location, and donīt use any git-commands from the readme-files - because, you work with the local modified scripts now :-)
I used the SAROS-sentinel for this, it was a quick and dirty hack, but finaly it works and i have no more WATCHDOG_EXPIRED ;-)
BTW: For general instructions, how to install under linux the sentinel, please consult one of the many MN sentinel install guides out there.
The procedure for bankitt is the same as for many other coins, which uses sentinel as watchdog.

Don't worry. My master node also shown WATCHDOG_EXPIRED status, but I still received 90 coins every 2.5 hour. For all which have problems with "WATCHDOG_EXPIRED":

so your mining on the pool, so why didn't let any know the pool is only accepting blake256r8 shares and not the original blake256 aglo, I just found out myself,
ive tried my optimized kernel for blake256 same algo better coding on the pool it wont accept blake256 aglo , just the blake256r8 algo , I went through all of them blake256 , blake256r8 , blake256r14 ...so the pool modded the front and backend to accept only blake256r8 any1 that was successful into fushing shares to the pool was different algo then on roadmap first page, the pool doesn't accept blake256 shares just the other algo
as far as your happiness maybe you should get better hardware or more of it....., so my post have never been questions unless directed to the DEV .
I'm not into marketing others so I wont mention the latest pool

it is impossible to receive more coin with less gpu power, you need more gpu's for your cause , gigahash /s representation, not presentation node peers can be found here  realtime http://viper.lchain.cc/networkTry by yourself with 1:2 GPU power. For example, if you have 9 GHs, try to setup your rig to mine with pool 3 GHs and 6 GHs solo mining. It possible, 3 Ghs with pool will return more coins. |

as I remember network reached 94 gigahash /s and peaked at 114 gigahash /s for those that missed it a while back , and I was still getting a few blocks in solo mining , just like today, , , , , , when you try to undermine the coin it is reflected on its network , happy solo mining Yes, you can solo mining and happy alone. But, I am not happy, with this diff, I get only 1-3 block per hour. But we will happy together, if you share with us. It's possible that you can receive more coin with less gpu power. Receive 5-10 coins every minute better than receive 25-75 coins per hour. For example, I mine Bankitt Coin. With my gpu power, If I solo mining, I can mine 15-30 block per day and receive 450-900 coins and it depend on LUCK. If I mine with pool, I can get 3-5 coin every minute, and receive 4000-6000 coin per day. |
