Can't freakin believe it. One of my craigslist accounts has been banned because I've been listing items for sale for EBT Coin and they think I'm trying to sell stuff for real food stamps which is against their TOS. I clearly state EBT Coin (crypto currency) in the ads!!!

my last stake transaction with 4.0.3 wallet was on 7/10.

I won't like...I'm still mining it a bit and dumping them. I really liked this coin. Shame dev disappeared.

this pool's payouts don't work from time to time, anybody knows what to do? LOL...mine a different coin! Actually that pool has issues with BTQ too sometimes. Unfortunately there's not too much support for FRQ and pool choices are limited.

I've listed these bounties on the OP - 250 BTQ - News Article Promoting BitQuark
- 500 BTQ - Video Promoting BitQuark
- 5,000 BTQ - Android Wallet
Nice. Good for exposure. I have a friend who has access to some non-tech press release sites and is a copy writer who owes me a favor. I'll see if I can get some marketing type write ups from her.

If I can find my wallet and there's been no fork, I may have a couple of thousand METs to donate to a faucet. I'm just trying to clear out all the dead coin wallets I have.

Hm. When I first opened 4.0.1, everything synced and after 24 hours I staked a whole bunch of blocks. The staking then suddenly stopped on 7/2, and the wallet wouldn't sync. I updated to 4.0.3, and now am synced up, but still have not seen a single POS block. I thought there would be shorter staking times in the big update. I should be getting some blocks right?
Yes and no. It appears that there is a bug in the wallet that prevents staking until about 15 days, past the point when coins are fully mature. We will fix this by tomorrow night and release new wallets. The effective APR comes out to about 33% under these conditions. The fix will restore the full APR of 100%. This bug affects everyone equally. I was beginning to wonder about that...after 4.0.3 no more stake. Was beginning to think I'd have to stop posting this:

EBT plummet in price (probably due to the 100% APR kicking in), now its a good time to mine cheap EBT at http://gagapool.pw/This is probably day traders who keep all of their EBT on the exchange and don't stake their coin. I agree...and I'm buying. Or mine on gagapool, we are really loosing EBT miners. Oh, I'm mining too.

What is this "quark" no-one is talking about?
Algo doesn't matter if no-one knows it exists.
Wallet doesn't matter if no-one knows it exists.
What's quark's marketing plan? What's x13's marketing plan? Does the coin name change to Bitx13?
BTQ's price has bounced between 500 BTQ = $1 to 57 BTQ = $1 to 308 BTQ = $1 (current last time I checked).
In 6 months I've seen no mention of BTQ outside of this little forum and reddit (which I don't really use).
What's being done to actively market BTQ and get the grandma's and grandpa's out there using it?

Just want to update people on what is in the works. I've contacted a few online shops to see if they would accept BitQuark as payment...waiting to hear back from them now. If you know of any other online sites that you would like to see accepting BitQuark, then let me know by commenting on here.
Thanks, BitQuark Dev
Sears.com JCP.com Walmart.com altoutlet.com would be a good start though in all seriousness. If just a few local merchants get on board more could follow. https://altoutlet.com/alt/currencies vote for btq every day

I'm having a problem with my EBT wallet that I hope someone can help me with. (or at least point me in the right direction)
My wallet is constantly unresponsive, and says it is not responding. It will pop out of this state occasionally, usually for no more than one or two seconds, and I'll get a bunch of transaction notifications in that window of time. (incoming PoS transactions)
I'm unable to do anything with the wallet, including sending coins or encrypting my wallet, so for the time being my EBT balance is inaccessible to me.
I've tried reinstalling the wallet on two computers, and I don't seem to run into any problems until I import my wallet.dat backup to the EBT folder in AppData. I've tried restoring two separate backups of the wallet.dat, one from a few months ago when I was having no problems, and both files cause the same issue. I know for certain that the older wallet.dat file is not corrupted.
I've looked around for similar issues with other altcoin clients and haven't come up with anything helpful, so if anyone knows anything I'd be very appreciative! And if you can help me get to my coins I'll be happy to send some your way to say thanks.
Same thing happened to me a while back (maybe) because I had a lot of small transactions (dust). I think a flaw in every wallet for every coin is if you have a large number of transactions, the wallet crawls and becomes unresponsive. This has happened to me repeatedly with different coins and p2p mining. What I had to ultimately do with EBT (and some other coins) is just wait it out and keep sending transactions to a different wallet to consolidate. In the case of POS coins though, I lost a lot of stake because the coin age renewed. I don't know if you're having the exact same problem I had, but if you have 17K+ transactions I'm guessing it's similar. I don't think this is so much an EBT issue as just a flaw in all wallets. How many transactions do you have? It sounds like your computer is working really hard to find transactions to stake and may have a miner open for each stake. Also, what kind of system are you running (Windows 2000, Windows NT, etc)? In short, this really isn't enough information. You might have a virus. It's hard to tell what is wrong from your description. I have EBT running on several different computers and they are all doing fine. Both machines I've installed it on in the last couple days are running fresh Windows 8 installs, no viruses. I've got 17,929 transactions, and 1,974,188 EBT in the wallet. If that's causing the problem (the computer working overtime to find transactions, like you mentioned) what--if anything--can I do to get around it? EDIT: For a little more information, the primary computer I'm having trouble with is a quad-core Windows 8 machine with 6GB of RAM and an SSD. So the computer's hardware resources should be up to par for this. Given that this is a clean Windows install on a decent computer, I'm not sure what other variables might come into play.

I didn't notice the issues with the payout at cpu-pool til you guys pointed it out. I guess that's why I haven't gotten a payout since Friday. I'll see if I can contact the admin and see what the issue is...sounds like it might be a crons issue. I've been throwing all my hashing power over at https://btq.obfuscode.netAnyone heard from cpu-pool yet? Almost 2 payments behind.

The mining/transaction icons I could do without, no offense, but it makes it look a little cheezy like the doge wallet. A nice feature some coins have is under the immature view there's a # of transactions in the wallet.

If I take a shit and put it in a brown paper bag, would anyone buy it? Probably not.
If I take a shit and put it in a brown paper bag and slap an "all natural, organic, pesticide free fertilizer" label on the bag would anyone buy it? Probably.
What quark needs is good marketing (and marketing to non-miners) and active usage. I'm a quark holder and I can barely do diddly dick with it except trade it for other coins on an exchange.
Get exposure, let people see that quark has buying power, and the prices will rise on their own.

If you want to beat the demise quarkcoin is facing, we need people who want BTQ. Merchants selling good for BTQ. A dozen plus pools available, marketing and advertising, faucets so the non-technicals and non-miners can aquire some.
If enough people see they can get real things for BTQ, it will help draw interest. I sell stuff occasionally on craigslist and say I'll accept cash, BTC or BTQ, but I'm just one person and while occasionally people ask about BTC and BTQ, most just want to give cash for it.
