121  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Don't be too quick to judge ICOs on: December 06, 2019, 07:22:37 AM
I personally do not believe this statistics that 99% of ICOs are scam, because some ICOs fail do not mean they are all scam. I usually tell people that starting an ICO is like starting a new business, it might succeed immediately, it might fail presently but have a great future and it might fail totally beyond redemption. So because a project is failing to perform presently or fail totally do not mean it is a scam. Don't get me wrong here, I never said there are no scam projects but the rate is not as high as alleged. Judging a project based on its first few years is wrong, give it time to realize its potentials.
Yes you're actually correct. Like Artblock it was from ICO and until now they still operating and processing their agenda and vision was so still good. So the thing is do not start a conversation without a topics like that ICO's are all scammers, making money and taking advantages to all investors. Some of them are 100% legit and profitable. The OP want to express his feeling about judging ICO's without any inspections.
122  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Confused, Your thoughts is needed on: December 06, 2019, 07:17:38 AM
There is a part in bounties i still don't get, bounty allocations are 1% to 10% of total max supply of the project token i wonder how dumping this can drag down its value? or most new projects have ways of dumping behind our back? For example Tokoin bounty leaves me speechless, many hunters sold their tokens but token value don't even move an inch from 0.08, what makes it withstand the dump while others would have crumbled back to 0.001 or more ..
As I know, The investors also dump their token while hunter are selling their token because they are afraid to lost their money because of falling the price of a token. Speaking of tokoin, Tokoin have a solution to avoid dumping, They are divided in to a 4 parts of their distribution and that was a very good decision and idea. So they are avoided the dump of tokens while distributing to the participants.
123  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Morgan Creek is Against The BTC Halving Popular Opinion. What do You think on: December 03, 2019, 04:40:56 AM
Bitcoin’s May 2020 block reward halving won’t affect price, says Morgan Creek.

"In a tweet on Dec. 1, Jason Williams, co-founder at digital asset fund Morgan Creek Digital, said that unlike many others, he believed markets would not move as a result of the halving next May".

https://cointelegraph.com/news/halving-will-be-non-event-for-btc-price-morgan-creek-digital-exec?utm_source=Telegram&utm_medium=social
Of course, Because its only base on data history of bitcoin. That is not reality, No one can predict the situation of bitcoin. What if its more than that expected or less than that we expected. I am right? If not its not predictable. Its like lovelife that you cannot predict what will happen to their relationship. Basic!
124  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why are you involved with Crypto? on: December 03, 2019, 04:37:36 AM
Aside from monetary incentives in crypto, I rarely come across discussions pertaining to why the average enthusiast in crypto is involved with crypto. While the answer may be pretty straightforward, there are some outliers.

Crypto means much more than just monetary incentives, it's essentially a technical revolution that has involved the masses, something you and I can be apart of. Ultimately, that's probably one of my greatest interests for blockchain and crypto. Another big intrigue for me is the evolution of blockchain tech in itself. I've been around for quite sometime and have witnessed the evolution of cryptos, businesses, behaviors and attitudes.

These 2 factors, along with several others, are the reasons I continue to be involved on a community and business level with crypto. It's become a hobby, passion and business for me.
Me,When I heard crypto and I've tried to make a research why we need this to our revolution I been opened my eyes. And I see the reality, Why? first thing the middle man of every transaction in this world. Lot of money are wasted to transfer a money in the other countries. These are also favor to all ofw's. Think about it.

126  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Will Not Be a Medium of Exchange on: December 02, 2019, 09:44:18 AM

127  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: FINALLY- we can now exchange coins between different blockchains on: December 02, 2019, 09:40:20 AM
Hey guys,

We are working on a new dApp which will help you exchange coins between different blockchains. Finally, we made a real implementation of cross-chain atomic swaps and it is working. We start with Bitcoin, Ethereum and Tron. Soon also EOS, NEO, Aeternity. We are determined to solve the interoperability problems between the different blockchains. It's high time to really start using crypto!

We launch on Nov 20th on the testnet.
If you want, you can write down your ETH address and we will send you some testnet tokens to try swap with the dApp.
Feedback is highly appreciated!

As I have seen. It was good, But I was have some confusions why the CEO of the company doesn't have profile picture to see his face. It is look like changelly, And I wish this is 100% legitimate.
128  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: $16M in Stolen Ethereum from Upbit Were Just Transferred on: December 01, 2019, 09:19:11 AM
Yesterday, the South Korean exchange Upbit was compromised and $50M of Ethereum (ETH) was reported stolen. $16.5M of that stolen ETH is on the move and has just been sent to another unknown wallet.

The hackers responsible for stealing from Upbit appear to finally be dispersing their plundered ETH. Whale Alert (@whale_alert) is reporting that around 109,270 ETH ($16.5M) has just been transferred to another unknown wallet.

Check the full news here

Well, well, well.....here goes another exchange hack news again. It’s a whooping $16M worth of Ethereum! My freakin’ goodness!

Not even the most popular exchange, Binance, is safe from these hackers. No matter if these exchanges have installed high security measures, the hackers are always coming back in a new and innovative way to counter those security measures even up to the highest level.

For me, these hackers are using their superb intelligence and have a “whatever it takes” attitude to take risks in hacking those exchanges and stealing Bitcoin, Ethereum and other forms of cryptocurrencies.

As of now, I honestly think that if this one continues, hackers would become whales and become one of those who can control the cryptocurrency market.
That too hurts! It means that exchange hasn't highly security. Or it means all exchange are not secured to all hackers. What ever it takes and what ever they chose if what exchange they targeted to hack or to rub all crypto. They are using their knowledge to start crime that not good in this cryptocurrency world.
129  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Where do you stake? Exchange or wallet? on: November 30, 2019, 01:02:46 PM
Considering the safety of your coins and the simplicity of staking process, do you stake in centralized exchanges or you consider using crypto wallets that supports staking like imtoken, trust and atomic wallet.

Where do you stake?
Me, I will think twice before to stake and I will choose the best and the most trusted exchange like Binance, And I don't know yet what wallet can start an staking. We can use google to search if what is the safest exchange. Beware to all scam exchange like IDAX. Simple technique and clean modus of exit scam exchange. take care of your funds people.
130  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Importance of Identifying A Bull Trap And Bear Trap In Cryptocurrency on: November 30, 2019, 12:55:06 PM
That is great idea, Expose the all details of how to avoid loses of money. I am still hoping that there has an info like that thank you op. 131  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are the scam projects killing entire crypto space? on: November 30, 2019, 09:03:17 AM
From my point of view, scam projects have taken away the glory of genuine projects.
Due to too many scams around crypto space, investors are not confident on investing in new projects. It's Becoming very difficult day by day to find out the legitimacy of the projects.
This in turn affecting the projects and result of this is not raising the funds as expected and required for further development of projects. This is daviating projects from their roadmap which is resulting in too much delay or even failure.
Missing interest in investors is somehow obstacle to growth and further research of dApps projects.
I think, rugulations will solve the topic to great extent, but is there any other way to stop the scamming and not just going away from it?
Please apply your thoughts.
Yes of course, The trust will vanish by the scammers and all legit project are so very affected on this matter. We need to avoid scammer before the time that investors doesn't have trust to invest on crypto. So to all new on crypto please review first before to participate and make sure that investment can make you a profit either its small but legit is fine.

134  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Saving for a House! on: November 29, 2019, 06:46:46 AM
We are saving for a house down payment of 40K.  I don't want to leave it in the bank as there is a old judgement they can take any time so i want to store it in crypto as we grow it over the next 6 months.  Is a stable coin the best option?  Thoughts?
Check this kind of explanation. If you are holding a coin for only six month what if the price of the coin you are holding are down before you sell? So you are lose, But if you only wanted was keeping only on cryptocurrency not to get a profit its better to hold stable coin. that is very simple strategy and we cannot predict the future of our coin. If we estimate that the price was grow up but what if its not?
135  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A coin that solves a problem won't die on: November 29, 2019, 06:43:09 AM
Its impossible to have one or two coins in crypto space because one or two coins can't solve all the problems we have in this world in every aspect of technology or others, if you want to keep a coin for a long time make sure the coin or token solves one or two problems in crypto space or the world, this type of coins don't die easily because they have real use cases, its simple as that
You are absolutely correct. Every use cases there has a coin for that. And if your coin doesn't use cases today or for the future better to sell it now why the price is good. But real thing we need to do is to know first the valuable thing of the coin that we wanted to hold for more that a year.
136  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why invest on a project because someone said they are good? on: November 29, 2019, 06:38:44 AM
A friend from my street came by today to tell about a coin named LCC (Litecoin cash) and he told me he has already invested on the coin, i asked him what makes him invested in it, like what is the real use case of the coin and he have no straight answer, after a while i found out he invested in the coin because of what a analyst said about the project, are there people like this on here? after so many scams since 2018? i decide to do few diggings and i see that LCC is not that bad but my point is why invest on a project because someone said they are good?
In my opinions, That was he wanted. Like BTC we do not have any idea if what use case can be use BTC right? But a lot of investors invested on BTC and they are guaranteed to gain profit past 6 to 10 years ago. So I think he invested because he felt a good investment idea to this coin. But we don't need to hear any analysis because not all their analyze are correct. We need to be careful with our money first of all before we invest on some coin that our felt that is good for us.

138  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: IEO is going to be slower ? on: November 26, 2019, 07:29:21 AM
Recently, I noticed that all the platforms are just like pausing launching new IEOs, If you notice top IEOs launcher platforms like Binance, Okex,Kucoin or Huobi, you will see a gap between 1-1.5 months. ICOs, then IEOs, then What next?
Its like a chess, we need to keep in mind that before we move we need to use carefully our decisions. Cause one wrong decision can make you lost all your money. I am thinking always about the product of the project before to participate to their IEOs.
139  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which wallet best for your currency store? on: November 26, 2019, 07:26:10 AM
Why you don't consider TrustWallet? That is one of the best wallet also because of non-custodial, The developer has no any chance to control our wallet because we keeping the private key and we the only person who can open or store cryptocurrency consider this wallet and I will be happy.
140  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Long term hodl ! What a joke on: November 26, 2019, 07:23:36 AM
Why do you refuse to face the reality of the present state of the crypto market? I always laugh when I see people still talking about long term hodl when the reality is staring us in the face. Don't be a fool, only the smart are leading the race in the crypto sphere of today. Why do you decide to hodl when you know that the price may dump? Why not sell at the peak and then you can buy back at the bottom. The race is not to the fool but to the wise. Selling at the peak and buying back at bottom is wisdom but holding at the peak expecting a magic spike is foolishness. Bull run is not here yet, do not expect a magic spike. When the bull run is here, you don't need a prophet to tell you that. Be smart.
I got Idea what you mean on this topic. I experienced that last time I hold my reward from bounty because I have trust to their project and their project has a lot of use cases and good plan for the future of their platform and I saw the value of the token still going to lowest all time. I never expect this moment because I had trust, Thank you for this topic. I realized all things now.
