Thanks for the clarification. So there are essentially two concurrent incentives to DOPE investment: a 10% point-of-sale bonus, and any price appreciation that occurs between now and the launch of the Smoke Exchange platform.
If DOPE were to double in value between now and then, $100 worth of DOPE would enable you to obtain $220 worth of advertising credits. A couple BTCs invested now could yield quite the profit margin, hence the "free money" you referenced in a previous post.
I think the poll on the top of the page should be, Which coin will increase most in value between now and the end of the year? BTC, ETH or DOPE? Anyone who thinks it's DOPE should invest now so their gains are compounded from now until the launch of the exchange.
sounds good to me.... I think there has been a misunderstanding... $100 dollars worth of DOPE will give you $110 dollars worth of SMX tokens always. There was no mention of price appreciation. The platform will launch accepting DOPE, BTC and ETH (and of course SMX) and DopeCoin will be the only currency that provides users with a 10% deposit and withdrawal bonus. |

Hello, folks,
Unfortunately, I will have to end the bounty campaign due to reasons beyond my control.
I hired Spaceman_Spliff as a "campaign manager" and have paid him around 3 thousand dollars to take care of the bounties for the smoke exchange project.
He has gone missing for a week and now comes back asking to hand the campaign over to someone else and demanding additional money.
At this point, I will simply have to cut my losses and face the inevitable fact that I once again have been ripped off by a bitcointalk member.
I have copied down all of the information from everyone who participated in the bounty and will make sure everyone receives their coins at the end of the ICO process.
I apologize for the inconvenience and recommend that you do not do business with spaceman_spliff.
I have given him a negative trust rating and unfortunately, I imagine he will retaliate and do the same thing to me.

Hello, any update on this thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2179939.0 ? It's already sept 29 and the official post is still at first week live. It's also weird that all weeks are "first week" and at the third date it goes back to sept 5?  I'm sorry, I paid this guy about 3 thousand dollars to manage the bounty campaign and he has done an absolutely terrible job and has even gone missing for a week. I am trying to find the best way to proceed and will likely have to cancel the bounty campaign. Whatever you do, do not do business with Spaceman_Spliff. We will find a way to make sure everyone who participated gets their bounties but unfortunately, this "campaign manager" that I hired has made a big mess of everything. |

Not really sure if someone had already asked this earlier. Im still a little confused about where the clicks are coming from. I understand Adwords and Facebook ads do not allow you to advertise "drugs" and accessories... which is fine... their product, their rules. Adwords is a platform where I can advertise my product to a bunch of websites that have subscribed to allow google ads to take up real estate on their page. Facebook ads show up on facebook. Where does ads posted on Smoke exchange show up?
Say I have an online store that sells bongs and stuff. And I use Smoke Exchange to pay and push my ad. Who sees it and where? Who clicks on it? Is it targeted with ability to filter out audiences like age group, gender, geography, etc? Adwords and facebook can because they have the user base and the big data to narrow down my target audience. Of course I cant use Adwords for that, so if Im reading it right, Smoke Exchange is going to be a replacement for Adwords and dope blogs / online seed shops will need to subscribe to the smoke exchange to get paid by showing my ad on their website? Is that how its going to work? If so, how are you going to collect the audience demographics necessary for the advertisers to compete for price?
Great question! Essentially yes you are correct. We will be building a database of marijuana-related traffic sources (also known as publishers) who will be paid to display banners and other kinds of advertisements such as popups on their website. Through the use of cookies, we will be able to determine many different types of targeting parameters such as geographical location, device, browser etc. Some websites will even have login systems with databases where targeting can be narrowed down even further according to gender and age groups. As far as pricing is concerned each publisher will choose what they want to charge for their placement based on a CPM based system (CPM = Cost per thousand impressions). The Advertisers will then have the ability to bid on that placement and the highest bidder will be awarded the majority of the impressions. The way that the platform will make money and allow us to generate the revenue we need to focus on onboarding new publishers and advertisers from around the world is that the publishers will pay the Smoke Exchange platform a commission ranging between 20-30% for serving the traffic. At the moment, there is no other option available within the industry that offers such a high payout to publishers and essentially 0 fees to advertisers. We are able to accomplish this because we have essentially cut out the marketing agency middleman and are able to provide a platform for publishers and advertisers to interact in a real-world bidding process. |

I think some clarification regarding the 10% bonus would be helpful. Is the bonus credited as the price when the investment in the ICO is made? Or the price at a later time? The bonus is a great idea for more widespread adoption of DOPE, but as a coin that is highly volatile, I'm sure accumulators of DOPE would be wary that a price reversal of the token price would cause them to give that bonus right back, potentially even lose money despite the bonus.
If you can give DOPE investors additional confidence, on top of the bonus, I think upward price movement may begin I'm earnest, rather than very brief run-ups and sell-offs.

To clarify the bonus given to DopeCoin users.... So the Smoke Exchange platform will operate 100% on the SMX token. You will be able to trade your BTC, ETH or DOPE for SMX tokens to advertise with and DopeCoin will be the only coin that offers a 10% bonus. For example... If you load your account with $100 worth credit using DopeCoin you will then have access to $110 worth of advertising credits. |

@dopey @dopecoindude @goldiex Adam, I can confirm this also happens to me on your link and also some other projects. Was thinking i may know the problem. When you join Telegram, you can use it and you have a login name but you don't yet have a global username yet. I had to go in my telegram settings and "create a username." I just had to do this recently as someone was trying to manually add me to their group and could not until i did, even though i thought i already had a username. Was thinking this is maybe why some groups give that error when people try to join them. If this works please inform me as i would like to know and also inform some other projects where i have encountered this error. thanks -RA It appears that you are correct, thank you for troubleshooting this for the community. |

I agree I think it is very realistic to see DopeCoin used as a reward system or loyalty rewards program for frequent customers. Once we launch the advertising platform DopeCoin should become quite popular among retailers and advertisers due to the 10% deposit/withdraw bonus. Is there anyone out there that could put together a daily talk show about the cannabis industry? A daily show on the progress and innovations in the industry. Is this possible on the Smoke platform?
