121  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BITCOIN MAGAZINE ARRIVED! on: July 12, 2012, 10:16:26 AM
Received my copy in Sweden some days ago. Overall I'm really impressed but I do agree about the font. Making the font smaller and margins bigger will give it a more professional look. Keep up the good work!

Nothing in Sweden yet.

Kul Mats, bra initiativ!

125  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] Send Bitcoins to e-mail super easily on: April 13, 2012, 03:49:25 PM
Nice. I especially like the fact that you don't have to create a Paytunia account to redeem it.
126  Other / Meta / Re: What happened to https://bitcointalk.org? on: April 10, 2012, 09:30:14 AM
If the https:// is crossed out and in red, there is a SERIOUS problem. Click the lock icon and tell us more. However, if it's grey, it's okay.

Yesterday, on the front page, https was red and crossed out for me, but the only problem reported when clicking the lock was that the page includes resources that are not secure. Today, all is back to normal. I have no idea what that was about but it seems like the same problem that OP had. Windows 7. Chrome.
127  Other / Meta / Re: What happened to https://bitcointalk.org? on: April 09, 2012, 06:40:43 PM
I also have the red line. Windows 7. Chrome (18.0.1025.151 beta-m).

128  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Let sponsor a MinutePhysics video related to Bitcoin? on: April 09, 2012, 12:27:16 PM
His videos are really good so I might be interested in donating but it needs to be a bit more clear what we will get. If a video about public key cryptography is made, will the only mention of Bitcoin be on that title card at the end of the video?
129  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Which Country You're From on: April 04, 2012, 12:47:48 PM
This confirm what I was thinking. Canada is the place in the world with the hightest number of bitcoin users per capita.

Sweden is higher.  Tongue

Considering the size of the dataset that might change before I finish writing this though.
130  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Proposal: friendly addresses with enhanced privacy on: April 04, 2012, 11:33:59 AM
Judging by discussion in the mailing list, BIP15 was deferred because it lacked a clear way to authenticate the relay (alias) server. HTTPS is not enough.

FYI, there was a lot more discussion than is seen in that link, over a 100 messages on the mailing list. You should be able to find everything here.
131  Local / Skandinavisk / Re: [ANNOUNCE] BitcoinNordic: Instant Bitcoins with Scandinavian credit cards on: April 02, 2012, 07:45:54 PM
Ser mycket lovande ut, lycka till! Det verkar vara ungefär 10% avgift vid kreditkortsköp, stämmer det?
132  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Blockchain.info - Bitcoin Block explorer & Currency Statistics on: April 02, 2012, 06:08:47 PM
Btw D.H. Sorry it is taking me so long to get the translations organised - I have not given up on it.

No problem mate, you're doing a great job.
133  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Blockchain.info - Bitcoin Block explorer & Currency Statistics on: April 02, 2012, 03:36:02 PM
Small bug (or just something annoying): The box that pops up when mouse is held over e.g. "My Transactions" is not visible, or just half visible, if your screen resolution is too low. Nothing else on the page requires a high screen resolution so I don't think that that little thing should. Also, those boxes behave a bit weirdly if you quickly move the mouse your mouse to the left, e.g. from Receive money to Send money. The box disappears and the cursor is no longer a hand.
134  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Version 0.6.0 released on: April 02, 2012, 03:20:32 PM
I installed v0.6.0 and apparently someone had finished the Swedish translation so I got it in Swedish, great! BUT, there seems to be a problem with the "&" that is included in some strings to indicate the shortcut key. For example, the "Send coins" tab looks like this in the Swedish translation: "amp; Skicka bitcoins". So, it seems that "&" has been used in the program instead of just "&".

It looks right on Transifex from what I can see, and in some places it works, for example the "New address" button on the "Receive coins tab" looks right.
135  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] BitInstant’s New Website! + BTC-E and Bitstamp! on: March 30, 2012, 09:24:51 AM
Logo looks really nice and site looks good, well done.

But,

  • I get a lot of "400 Bad Request Request Header Or Cookie Too Large", e.g. when clicking FAQ
  • I don't like the "page in page" so that I get a separate inner scrollbar, e.g. on the Rates and Fees page. It's much easier to get an overview if the full page height is used.
136  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] Coineer - The Bitcoin Magazine on: March 27, 2012, 05:45:45 PM
I hate to break it to you, but it's not the world first.

Well, I haven't seen the other magazine yet, so...

Coineer: This is what he is talking about. A bit surprised that you haven't seen it since the thread has been on the first page a lot over the past few months.
137  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Blockchain.info - Bitcoin Block explorer & Currency Statistics on: March 22, 2012, 08:41:50 PM
App declined.

"We found that your app contains content - or facilitates, enables, or encourages an activity - that is not legal in all the locations in which the app is available"

I have asked them to specify which countries and in the meantime have resubmitted it for UK & US only.

Annoying. Hope that you get some answers.
138  Bitcoin / Press / Re: Bitcoin press hits, notable sources on: March 20, 2012, 06:04:05 PM

This thread is really starting to stray from its original purpose, Bitcoin press hits.
139  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Sweden moving towards cashless economy on: March 20, 2012, 09:26:46 AM

did anyone actually see this as an invitation?

as an opportunity?

to at least provide an alternative while people are looking for one?

Yeah, thanks for the link. I certainly think that the debate about a cashless society could help us spread the word about Bitcoin in Sweden. I will write something about the article on bitcoin.se for starters. Also, I'll contact Oscar Swartz to see if he knows about Bitcoin, seems like a guy who could help spread the word.
