for now they are destined to store as an investment asset not as a currency to buy or exchange goods and services. but this may end up when goverment will start accepting tje coin as a currency. to this day some of establishment are now accepting the coin in exchange of their product offered. someday, if theres more and more establishment will accept it as payment then thats the time the coin will move to a new era.

Right now there are many ICOs coming out, is it really safe to participate in any of it and spend that much? In participating ICOs I have high hopes that these coins could be the next Bitcoin or other currencies that are really going up in the market.
i got same question also with you... i really wanted to participate in ICO but i dont know how to start... the platform will prompt a warning if you send money to other ICO i dont know why but it seems that ICO is not supported by some platforms right now |

i have bought cardano for at least a month now but have no significant increase of price in the matket, im still hoping that it will hit market in the coming months... im planning to add more coin in the coming days and hold it until i see the price to the top.

I know how people feel, those who invested in December or January like me, who fell love with crypto, and the way price was going up, never believed I have to see market cap under $250 billion. However, Everyday I check my Black folio app, I feel sick in my stomach. Sometimes I feel what I have done? But i knew there was a risk, i knew, I could lose money, but I couldn't control my rush of blood, seeing people buying right and left whatever they could.
But my question to all those investors, do you believe in crypto? If you do then hold tight because good days will come, if you are not in need an emergency cash, then hold your coin, It can't be red all days, it will be green. have some faith in this industry. I know it's hard seeing the bloodbath, what's happening, but we will rise again.
Even though I lost 70% of my portfolio, I'm still holding because I know good days are coming soon. Good luck guys.

i like the spirit! i also hold some coin and i cant cash out those because it will only means loss. i still believed that the coin i hold will rise again to the top... i will be patience in holding this coin even if it means 2 or 3 years. i will wait until i see my coin to the top. |

I have seen many people say that Bitcoin will end governments.
But do we really want that?
And if yes how would things like infrastructure be provided without a government? (This is just an example, you can discuss any issue you see fit for this topic)
this is totally insane thinking bitcoin will never end the goverment... it may on opposite side. the goverment will regulate and make the coin to legalize in their country... bitcoin needs goverment to introduce the coin to their people in this way, there would be many investor to come in and will result to value increase of the coin |

Hi all,
I am a relative newbie but have remained pretty calm during the difficult last week or so. The markets are falling significantly again, is this still relatively normal and is the best advice just to HODL? Moving forward I think I will set stop losses on all holdings to protect my capital against falls like this.

absolutely right! i also hold coin in this days. i dont want to loss so i hold coin in my wallet. the best coin now to buy are those with low value... i actually made some investment and purchase it in altcoin. maybe in the couple of months i am hopeful that the price will move up... so i could taste the fruit of my profit. as of to date i never gain anything in my almost a month of holding. |

I think the most secure trading is to use some money from trading capital and use money that will not be in use for the near future,
for example I have $ 1000 and I need to use the money for my family's living needs, then I can use $ 250 for trading and the rest to survive, do you mean from this revelation?

their should be balance in your trading and for your family needs... Do you think Ethreum will dethrone bitcoin from 1st rank of crypto this year?
ethereum is far behind from bitcoin... bitcoin is still leading to the market as the most precious and valuable coin as to this date. ethereum may surpass bitcoin in the future but it is just prediction... bitcoin is still on the correction status due to last year high price... but in the next couple of months it will rise up again slowly to the top. |

BTC will not die not now, not tomorrow, not the years to come... as long as their are traders and believers of the coin it will never die... it will just drop and rise then drop again, rise again! the cycle is just repeating itself and this is normal. so i say to you, do not worry about the future of the coin. study the fluctuation and ride the ferrieswheel of price surely you will earn big money in the future. |

i totally agree on above comment. putting your money to bank is merely saving your money for future use... the bank owners are the one get more richer because of your money... bank uses the deposit money to their advantage.. they provide loans with a very high interest rate making them millions of earning out of the deposit money...

this thread started last year, the story might not the same compare to last year. but if i were to ask this kind of question today my answer would be NO...
if you want profit for not big capital do not invest it with bitcoin... the price of bitcoin is so big if you invest in low capital you will get less than 1 btc... even if the price of coin will go to 20k you still have low income... but if you have big capital that would convert to 3 to 5 BTC then i suggest do it now. invest in bitcoin because huge profit awaits you..

Someone says Etherium will be no. 1 coin if Bitcoin die.
But, I don't think so.
If BTC die, there will be no more cryptocurrencies.
if BTC dead its only BTC! why on earth all crypto will be gone also. for all we know different coin has it own value and uses it does not depend on the other crypto... for sure they will be affected but not to the extinction of all coin... as long as their are traders and investors this system will not come to an end. |

there is only 1 altcoin i buy in 2018. it is still in low value 0.1usd at first i have no doubt it will move up so high but as i look at the historical chart the movement of this coin is still so low..
not even reach to 2usd but am not losing my hope for this coin in fact i have a plan to buy some more coin in the coming days. the coin i chose is cardano (ADA).

it will never be ban, look the issue is envolve only on the couple for allegedly making money, and promises to return in fold every 15days.. there is no direct participation of BTC in their scam.
you know i see it in different angle.. because of what happen many filipinos now are curious of btc and they more like to know the system of crypto.

yes, if u bought it at lower price you may sell it today because etc price is at the high.... in my own experience i bought eth and when the profit reach at 10% out of my capital i sell it to the market.. when i buy coin i see to it that i have set a target.. when time the target is reach i sell it even if prediction of other is still going up. |
