I find the amount of FUD recently quite disgusting and I can't recall it ever having been so blatant with liars coming out of the woodwork left and right.

Man these are exciting times  I believe we will see a very different top 5 the following months. There are very promising coins and infrastructures being built, I believe Silkcoin will be the best "non anon" coin out there, there is no reason why litecoin should be any bigger that SC because it basically offers nothing than Bitcoin already does. Silkcoin has integrated ( or will in the future ) functionalities that will ease general acceptance. I think there is a definite need for a true anon coin too, my guess XC will win this race. Picture this: 1. Bitcoin, being the first, the digital gold if you will. 2. Silkcoin, offering everything that an altcoin should. Awesome wallet, excellent developers and a very welcoming community. 3. XC, for offering the first true anon infrastructure with a very strong developer and good community. To the moon brothers  There is no reason why Silkcoin team won't incorporate anything working from other coins into their design. As soon as there is a working anon solution: silkcoin wallet update. As soon as there is working SMS incorporation: do it with silkcoin. Basically you just need a competent dev team that can adapt quickly and spot the gaps. So far I believe that is silkcoin team. |

I wonder when Oculus rift winner will be announced?
Might be good to time it to the end of POW. Which will probably coincide with Mintpal listing.
Also probably good idea to run another Polo promotion as soon as it is announced.
I feel like I'm watching a very clinical tactical team at work here.

Seriously... it may sound cliche, but the dev team is hard at work on the eco system. You will be amazed what you will be able to buy one day with these... The Silk coin community has also impressed me very much... a great group of caring people... About the eco-system, as of right now there is no evidence that the eco-system is even in development, there is no whitepaper, we are just relying on faith that there really is such a thing. So i would like to know when we can see some evidence of its development/existence. That is very real concern... All I can say is I have been invited to the team... today I spent 10 BTC already on Silk and I have a 10 BTC Buy order on Bittrex at 3000.... I want to get a better deal but no one is biting So I am showing my support by spending my bitcoin Ok thats great you have such faith, but i would like the developers to give some proof of its existence. Can any of the developers please answer this. From what I have seen so far the dev team is releasing things according to a plan. I suspect we know as much as they want us to know at the moment and I expect something will be updated at the end of the POW stage. So far there has been one issue with the wallet (simple programming flaw) that was fixed within a few hours and immediate response from dev. Apart from that everything has been working without any problems at all as far as I know. |

The "other" premine wasn't really a premine at all. The chain was soft-launched between a few people, and spread quietly for a few days (~6) before being announced here and elsewhere just before/around the block 8000 fork.
WHAT? This coin was announced here 20 days before launch. Ok, re-announced here, I guess. :-) Are you a troll? Everyone can just read beginning of this thread to understand that what you are saying is a complete nonsense. As I said, those coins (aside from the three 150k blocks) weren't really a pre-mine at all. The game was public for those 8k blocks, it just wasn't until that time that it was really being promoted, reddit activity, etc. That is all I mean. This is just what you would expect, information spreads over time. But you were saying like if it was announced only 6 days after launch. EDIT: I had dozens of connections in those early days, so it wasn't "a few people". Personally I was watching this coin and playing the game quite a while before launch. I played as soon as it launched and got a few of the sub 30 blocks. I made a thread in a few places because I thought the idea is awesome. The pre-mine was tiny and announced. WilliamLie has been awesome and I can understand if he is despondent because of the early rise of botters ( we weren't expecting them this early.) Dev responded to community concern about the target time dropping too quickly and changed pay out from 100 to 20 and dropped the expected time. I think the launch and everything since has been great. The only problem has been the botting and the dump on C-Cex when this was became clear. Miraculously the coin survived and is still going. Since then there has been some very interesting discussions as a spin-off from the botting problem. WillimaLie is still engaging and support the coin. Just wanted to say thanks for the effort. I have enjoyed this coin a lot so far and I'm very interested to see where it goes from here. If dev wanted they could've scammed and made more money than they did from premine considering the effort put it. So far they have acted with integrity and been very capable. |

When I finish the replay viewer you should integrate it as well (it is all client side JS with emscripten, so you could more or less just "drop it in" to the page) so people can have everything in one place.

What happened with bounty?  Almost all premine was sold. That's sad ... bad exchange reputation to the money  Developers must never sale their coins in such situation. The premine was tiny. I played a lot at the start and got like 10% of it. I am mining at 220 mh/s and got only like 10k silk. so no way I am selling until moon  Your name is lossminer after all. That doesn't seem possible. I mined with 300kh/s and got 10. (Token support lol) My most efficient method of mining so far has been: Go to work, work hard, make money, sell money for BTC, exchange BTC for SC. Watch the camel all day. |

Reducing targettime isn't as easy as just throwing more hardware onto your rig and making a slightly bigger energy spend, of course. This downward push in targettime is because bots got slightly smarter as their operators learned little things from eachother, and as they improved on those things. However, this cat-and-mouse game won't last long, just until the real AI methods take over. This is exciting to watch! I am guessing there are quiet a few people like me who are lurking about and watching the developments. |

Around 250 000 coins have been sold in last 10 hours for average price of 2500sat. Now everybody is saying how good plan that is to sell now and rebuy later, I say rebuy what? There are 50 000 coins for 2500sat availible, everything else goes for 3000sat. So where are you gonna rebuy exactly? (meaning people not you ) Yes I understand it is based on prediction but what people are doing now is a real gamble, and dangerous one because they cannot rebuy easily now (unless you want to start making buy orders with everybody else and might create a panic buy! - the momentum is perfect - mintpal position strong, huge volume trading, pow period..all it would need is some nice new feature and you are never gonna rebuy) I am not saying I am 100% right but here are my reasons By the way if you want to rent I recommend betarigs.com, not associated with them but I have a positive experience with them Thank you very much. I never would have caught that on my own and it makes perfect sense. I will definitely be looking at that in the future. On a side note, I have been trying to figure out when to buy in and might just do it tonight because of that. Also I really like Silkcoin so I would never sell majority of of my coins Divide your investments. I know it might be hard when you are sure this is it, this is a gold rush but try to divide your investments into 50 equal stacks. If that is too little for you (meaning the investment value of one stack is really low) try 25 but dont go under it. Have discipline, do not rely on your emotions. I like you! After doing some calculations I have decided I am just going to buy as much as I can from miners during the next POW rather than trying to rent mining rigs. |

if all 15mil is dropped on the market immediately you will need something like 400BTC to buy it up?
That translates to about between $150k and $250k?
The price MUST drop. Yet... if it doesn't.. I can't get myself to sell even at the peak lol.
