That is quite good, means your pool got 154 blocks so far then. Why so small value? I thought it should be 10 or maybe 100 coins in 5 minutes, but not 0.000x Block 840 - diff = 1 Block 960 - diff = 4 This will change back after 1,000 blocks. |

Hello.
First of all I would like to offer a statement of apology to everyone, the coin launch was a failure and the source was invalid due to human error. The error should never have happened but it did, instead of a 1% premine it was in fact a 100% premine, all due to human error. It was a costly mistake by the dev team but decision was taken to stop all mining and have a relaunch of the coin. In the strongest terms possible this was not planned to have a 100% premine becuase this is just ridiculous to think that a coin would survive like that with the dev team holding all the coins. All being said everyone is open and welcome to there own opinions and views and should be expressed if they feel so. The coin will be relaunched because the team of Aliencoin strongly believe that the coin can be a success and from now on the dev team will put in even more hard work to make sure of this. I would also like to apologise and thank the pool owners for the help they have given and support they have showed. Thank you also for the miners who have an understanding of our apology. Lessons have been learnt at a cost but we are now looking forward to the re-launch. Everybody is free to mine which ever coin they wish and if you continue to offer support towards Aliencoin then it is mostly appreciated.

You say it was a human error that the premine was 200,000,000 but anyone who has programmed a coin would know that you have to also set the limit for the number of coins available. If you "accidentally" mined 100% of the coin then no one should have been able to generate more coins than that.You also "accidentally" set the limit for there to be more than 200,000,000 coins available - that is how i know for sure you are lying. Anyone who is planning to stick with this coin when it relaunches - keep in mind that you won't know for months, or even years if this dev has actually set a limit on the number of coins available. Do you really want to wait to find out? The developer confirmed he set the total supply to 200-million, it could of been a mix up with the 0s for the pre-mine & the actual total supply but at the end of the day it was just a plain human error which will not be happening again. This second launch will we make sure everything is set in place and the developers are set ready for a stable and fair launch. We've learnt from the last launch & we have improved, Humans race will be conquered! For that last comment, we can confirm it has a total of 200-Million coins, I repeat Aliencoin has a total of 200-Million coins. I respect your opinions and its truly up to you what you decide to mine, but however if you do wish to stick by with Aliencoin I will be more than happy to greet you on board and that goes out to all miners. Wrote this in another coin's ANN thread, but still applies: 1) Release compiled wallets and source at launch 2) People can start solo mining 3) Zero reward for the first 100 blocks 3) It is built into the wallet to not accept more than 500 kh/s during the first 5000 blocks - obfuscate the limitation in the code a little, so it is not trivial one minute job to remove the limit - the limit could also be gradually removed instead all at once on 5000th block - mega farmers will of course try to circumvent this, but at least it will take a little time to setup multiple wallets 4) During the first 5000 blocks pools have enough time to set up, and will automatically start to operate normally after 5000th block If you choose to take the standard route, expect WTS 1,000,000 for 1 BTC offers within 1 hour of the launch and small time miners having 100 at that point going ok good bye another coin raped. so what is the impact of point 3) above> If I solo mine, will I be limited to 500khs? what about pools then? will the total pool limit also be 500Khs effectively, making poolmining rather pointless for the first 5000 blocks? Please note that isn't implemented into Aliencoin's structure, I believe he was suggesting that we use that setting. The first 1,000 Blocks will be reduced in block rewards this will help with the stability of the launch. After them 1,000 blocks have been mined it will return to its original standing. may i ask politely, what is with 200mil coins sitting in dev's wallet? The dev has deleted the wallet, "The old wallet & coins are useless now. There is a new genesis block + the new wallet has a new and different address" Please delete your old wallet and your roaming app data for Aliencoin, ready for the new wallet to be released on launch via download link in the main thread section. The initial invasion was thwarted by human resistance, Returning in 1 solar day with reinforcements and then human race will be conquered.
The second attack will be of greater force with a very heavy presence of alien invasion!
Its up to you what you choose to mine and don't mine but the coin will be re-launched and will be open to everyone.
If you stick by the coin it is most appreciated, the development team are working as we speak.

The Developing team has made a major flaw. The coin was pre-mined 100% on mistake on the first block instead of 1%. The coin will either be destroyed and re-launched or a third party trusted member will need to receive the 99% of the coins that was pre-mined and then destroy the wallet/private key.
I'm pushing for a restart. We can still do this right. 2 or 3 changes and this coin could be perfect. It would take a couple hours to do the changes and generate the genesis hash and we would be good to go again. Just for the record, the 200m thing was not all me. I didn't even get to mine the first block. Yes, this was my mistake a silly mistake but it happened and i can't even believe it wasnt picked up by me, but its happened so it needs to be fixed. This will be in due course, further updates coming. THIS COIN WILL BE RE-LAUNCHED FURTHER UPDATES COMING stop all mining |
