Over the weekend I implemented a SuperNET agent that implements coinshuffle, a fully decentralized mixer, called Jumblr. It has no central server and you always control your coins at all times. for BTCD there is no fee other than the txfee which is set to 0.01, for BTC the cost is 0.1%.

Looking for peoples for the GUI and also testing. bounties available

James

That's seems awesome !

On a bitcoin side it is really good tech but what will be the advantages for BTCD holders? would it promote BTCD?

I would like to know where can we check the adress where "gutenber" send the burnt bitcrystals?

Is it already running?

Yes as mentioned we are finishing the BCY distribution over the coming week. Once it's all set up we are going to burn the rest.
Gutenberg will be an automated platform and still in development. Meanwhile at the end of the month 50% of bitcrystals we receive will be burn and each month we will publish a report.

Thanks for the reply Yodark, but as it is a blockchain asset we just need to check the adress where the BCY are sent (burnt) so we should be able to check on this adress the number of BCY which are burnt in real time

Or maybe it doesn't work like this?
Hello,

BitCrystals to be burned will be sent to this address: 1BURNSogXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXW3ny2Y

Hi Hnin,

I am not an expert in XCP but is this adress provably unspendable?

I know for exemple in NXT there is a genesis account where it is proven that any NXT or asset sent there is unspendable ( in this account the amount of NXT is - 1 billion, as it is negative and you need 1 NXT per transaction anything sent there is lost forever).

On XCP they used some Proof Of Burn to make XCP coins, so they have sent bitcoin to this provably unspendable adress, though I don't know how it is "provably" unspendable, so I guess you did the same thing with this SOB burn adress?

Can you or sombedy else confirm that your adress is provably unspendable?

I am not worried about some cheating from your company, but a hacker or 1 of your member could be tempted to steal some assets or BCY if he can access to the private key of this adress, on an other hand if it is provably unspendable, no more worries Smiley

Please read this article http://counterparty.io/news/why-proof-of-burn/ which explains how the XCP burn address was created (the part on the bottom). The SoG burn address 1BURNSogXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXW3ny2Y has been created in a similar way, so as to ensure that no matching private key exists or can be brute-force guessed by a hacker. This way, when the unsold BCY will be sent to that address, they will not be retrievable by anyone in the future.

This is all what I wanted to know, so it is provably unspendable indeed Smiley

Thanks a lot

127  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Bitcoin ATM's in Guatemala, C.A. - Seeking Investors on: August 29, 2015, 09:25:59 AM
You can also create an asset with NXT

Check on the forum for more information  : https://nxtforum.org/

If you can provide trust you can raise easily some money, people with trust and good projects have already raised quite a lot of money and it will be easier to send dividends to your investors.

Congrat for your IPO, that's really successfull.

However I am wondering how will you handle to sell your coin (70% of value after IPO).

For bitcoin let say you will have 14.000 bitcoin it's quite ok as it represents around 0.1% of total bitcoin amount so the price should not be too much affected.

Now let's say you will get 1.4 million Eth that is around 2% of total supply of ETH so 20X more than with bitcoin, here you will have a huge impact on the ETH price.

Scenario 1: You will dump your ETH after IPO which will crash the price of ETH, so you will get a part of the value after IPO (as it will not be possible to selll all at same price)  but it would be quite fair for investors, however if everybody's know what will happens the price will crash before IPO due to FUD...

Scenario 2: You decide to sell your ether during few months which will put a constant sell pressure, so that will make the price of ether dropping week after week + the FUD associated, thus you will get only a small part of the money you should got but the shares from ETH buyers of REP and bitcoin buyers of REP will not change, so it is not fair for bitcoin investors (shares diluted and ETH sell provide you few money).

Scenario 3: An alternative scenario, like an auction for the ether with some discount but the ETH are blocked for 1 year for exemple like this only long term investors would be interested.

I don't know what is your intention but I remind you that your decision will have huge consequences on ether price.

If you could inform us about what is your plan that would be nice.

Regards,

Julien

I just bought the GEMZCARD.  Why is the card divisible?  If I want to sell the card wouldn't I have to sell it as one unit instead of 0.5 units?

https://counterpartychain.io/asset/GEMZCARD

if you have less than 1.0 asset you will not be able to have the card in the game, you will need to buy more and have 1 or more asset

At least this what I understood.

131  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] BitCrystals - Innovating the Game Economy with Cryptocurrency on: August 05, 2015, 04:04:16 PM
Thanks for the adress wallet but I don't understand something :

According to the wallet there is 354 btc collected and according to the website of the token sale there  is 15 millions of bitcrystals sold, which should means 1000 btc collected.

Why this discrepancy?
132  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] BitCrystals - Innovating the Game Economy with Cryptocurrency on: August 04, 2015, 06:46:39 PM
Is there a place where we can know how much bitcoin you have received from the token sale?

134  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NEM (XEM) Official Thread -100% Original Codebase - Over 70 Active Team Members on: May 01, 2015, 06:22:03 PM
Hi to all. Just discover this coin and its looks interesting. Can somebody explain why are the price is so low on poloniex and whats
happening behind this hype. Its hard to read 889 pages  Wink Cheesy

70 Satoshi for 1 XEM.  Wow such deal.   NXT is 4000 Satoshi for 1 NXT.   I can buy 57x more XEM than NXT.   Bitshares is 212 Satoshi.   I can buy 3x-4x more XEM than BTS.

XEM is cheapest Bitcoin 2.0+ Platform and thus most profit for investors.  This is guaranteed winner.

Soon it is 1000s Satoshi or more.   $100 make $5000 soon, wow.

So it seems that Taunsew does not have any basic economic knowledge...

Have you ever heard about money supply?

Indeed you can buy 57X more NEM than NXT but it will be 9 times more diluted compared to NXT as there is 9 Billion XEM and only 1 Billion NXT.
So the good ration would be 57/9= 6.3 X more.

That basic mistake says long about you and your education level....

Saying it's guarranteed winner is also very naive...

I invested in NXT and BTS also for the reason there is much more potential than bitcoin as the price is much lower, but there is no guarrantee winner, actually the odds to win are even lower than bitcoin, just the reward will be hundreds times more than bitcoin, that's why I accept this higher risk but there is no guarantee.

In a general way I think it would be foolish to invest all in currency 2.0, but it would also be stupid to not invest at least 5-10% of your crypto capital in these new promising coins.
If the bitcoin rise and not altcoin then you will miss 5% profit, but if one of these coin surpass bitcoin you will just have your tears to cry and regret...

About XEM and NXT I've chosen to not invest in XEM as this kind of platform is a global economy so you need some DAC working with the currency.
This challenge start to be completed by NXT even if it is still not enough, but on NEM there is still nothing and I'm affraid it will last like this.
If some serious companies join NEM  I would revise my judgement but from now the risk seems too high for me.

135  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why NXT is such at low price if it's that amazing ? :(((((((( on: February 04, 2015, 08:04:23 PM
The only bad thing about NXT is his bad press look at coindesk almost no article about NXT.

It's good that Coindesk doesn't publish articles about Nxt. For money you can **** Coindesk in any position from Kama Sutra, if you think that an article in Coindesk would be good for marketing then think again.  Cheesy

You  may hate coindesk, but you can't deny it's one the main press source for people in crypto world

Since I have seen how they ommit NXT I understand they are really partial and I get my crypto information on other sources now.

But anyway a lot of investors read coindesk and only coindesk and thus won't invest in NXT until they read other press.

136  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why NXT is such at low price if it's that amazing ? :(((((((( on: February 04, 2015, 07:49:12 PM
I dicovered bitcoin around 18 month ago, and as a lot of people I was thinking that NXT was a scam mostly due to this distribution (21 btc).

Few month ago I was attracted by NXT because of some assets like supernet, indeed NXT is not only a better bitcoin (POS / security / quick transaction etc...)

It is also a living economy where you can buy some asset really easily and invest in some companies to become shareholder in a decentralised way.

This feature is not that old and right now a lot of companies got funds in NXT and converted them in $ which create a sell pressure.

When these companies will start to make profits they will have to pay dividends in NXT so they will need to buy NXT with their $ which will create a buy pressure.

That's one of the reasons the price is going down nowadays.

About the "unfair distribution" I was thinking about it and finally came to the conclusion that it was not such a bad way actually.

1/ IPO last 2 months so it's complicated to complain about it.

2/Creator asked for 21 btc, would it be better if he asked for 1000 btc? I don't think so....that just prove he was not looking for a quick profit.

3/Because of this IPO most of the big stakeholder are active in the community and it mostly people who understood the coin before it was released.

4/These stakeholders got a huge ROI, some had more than 10 million coin and still have it whereas they could sold it for almost 1 million $ at the higher price, so I guess they truly believe in the technology for just hodl.

Now we can just all regret to not have been in this IPO, but if you tried the wallet you just cannot say it's a scam or anything else like this.

About the community in NXT, it is much more mature than other altcoin , they're not just waiting for some pumps and saying all the time "to da moon".

People in NXT community are trying to improve the features of the wallet and the coin itself, some other try to build some copmaines inside NXT etc...

The only bad thing about NXT is his bad press look at coindesk almost no article about NXT.

Just for exemple look at the thread about supernet, it's an asset of NXT, more than 200.000 reads and more than 5000 bitcoin invested if I'm right, 0 article on coindesk Wink

Anyway NXT could be the new bitcoin as like bitcoin few years ago people did not understood his potential...

I am not a spammer of NXT, you can check on my profile this is my 1st post on NXT and my account is more than a year old.

137  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Isn't this a problem with bitcoin; so we should use like quarks instead? on: November 26, 2014, 09:03:19 PM
The solution is a coin wich is not mined that's all.
Mining was a good way for spreading the coin at begining cause it was diificult to give a value to something virtual but now it's something useless not ecological and making inflation there are technolologies like NXT or BTS wich provide high security with almost no mining and with transactions 10 to 100 times faster than bitcoin + with some unique features inside the wall like assets.

138  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: ANN GryfX Alts Options Market Release October 1st - GryfenCoin, Shares, Broker on: September 27, 2014, 10:51:04 PM
I am pretty confused,

1st: I don't understand the difference between shares class A and Class B.
How does it work?Class A is 5 times more expensive why? how much coin can I expect with shares A or B, could you explain that bettter?

2nd: We can buy you directly some coins at a price of 10 satoshis, and there is 1 trillion coin, so at this price you estimate a market cap of 100.000 bitcoin, so somewhere close to ripple and litecoin.
Isn't it a bit expensive?
