surely NEM devs have thought of doing the same. it is a great advance for NXT though, no doubt about that!! Blockchain bloat is a major problem and known problem for all blockchains. NEM devs have been designing NEM with this in mind from the start. |

Let's not turn this into another nem v nxt thing.. There's enough back and forth between nem and nxt as it is with out belittling developments in nxt which as far as I know havnt been done before. Yes it's not quite full blockchain pruning but is it not the first step in the right direction by any platform? Progress should not be put down especially when it's progress down a path not previously trodden.
I agree. I think it is pretty cool that NXT did that. |

Idea for Nem AE : It is necessary that there was an opportunity to create assets which if on the account lie 10 days, for the 11th day from the account 10% burn down. Time and percent of combustion have to be adjustable at initial creation of an asset. It is initially possible to put of 10 days, and so on, i.e. any numbers. Thus at anybody such assets won't be able long to lie too long. For each 10 days of their lying on the account, or if term to put another, from them will be written off and forever to be destroyed on 10%. Thus on Nem AE there will be a mechanism of creation of Gezellevy free cash which fight against moneymaking and do so commodity turnover increases. This money stimulates people constantly to spend but not to accumulate. Thus, if we on the basis of the crypto NEM platform on Nem AE have an opportunity to create this free cash, Shaymuratiki, and all other future money, new, on Shaymuratovo's analog, will be already present on Nem AE. it would be trivial to setup a script to transfer back and forth between accounts, thus the people with more money would have a higher incentive to cheat such a system. In the end only the people with less wealth will be the ones that finance such a system.
One neat thing about POI is it takes into consideration one's history. I'm not sure, but I wonder if part of that algo could be used to take care of this pretty serious weakness you just mentioned. |

I have a lot of faith that this feature is planned in near future... All devs would like everyone to use the latest version... And the support team members also like to work with people who have the newest version... Imagine those running VPS nodes - how cool would it be for those nodes to autoupdate? Syncthing does that pretty well :-) |
