New features have arrived!You may now easily show or hide your stats panel. This functions identically to /stats <show or hide> in chat. This setting can be accessed in your account tab.  The biggest new feature is investment locking. You may now lock your investments to prevent yourself from divesting for up to 90 days! This provides additional security and is also useful if you feel you are likely to divest yourself too early. This setting can be accessed in your investments tab.  Another addition is admin badges. Admins will now show up in chat with their role in a badge next to their name.  Chat dice rolls may now go up to 1 million!  We have also adjusted the betting rate limits to allow 1 or more additional bets per second over previous levels. Good luck and have fun everyone!

The API will be live shortly. I will edit this post when it is. The API is now live! You may have to clear your cache to see the interface. You may enable/disable the API and see your key on the investments tab. The API its self should be fairly simple to follow. Just GET https://bitvest.io/investments?key=your_key and you'll receive your investments back in JSON. There is one difference from the API and the on-site UI (Which the on site UI will soon be updated to match). The profit for active investments displays profit to include the effect of commissions. Completed ones do not (they should for consistency). The API will include the effect of commissions in the final profit number for each investment, complete or not. |

As a nerd I was wondering if I could recreate the awesome slot of bitvest in Excel. And while I was at it, maybe do some basic numbers on the rolls. I managed to recreate this fairly easily. And I believe the numbers check out too! I hope the table will convert well into this forum. These are the stats for 10 million rolls. And yes that took some computing time hehe.
Nice job, that's a very useful table for anyone who would like to see the stats. If you (or anyone else) is interested in more data on our slot, feel free to ask Do you have real data from past 10M spins at slots to compare with Ghris data? There are some issues with his tables when compared to mine. However, they appear to be from a slightly different method of counting, and not handling wilds based on prize values. As for the 10M spins. We don't store anything aside from seeds used to recreate the result, the amount bet, and the amount won. It is possible to run over this data to create a table of our own, but It would take quite a while to run through that. |
