121  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: anyone else having issues logging into btc38.com? are we about to get Goxxed? on: June 05, 2014, 11:46:12 PM
any ideas on this is what I am looking for, only two I can think of is that either the site is getting DDOs'ed or it is just under to heavy a load due to them adding the english side to it, which the former is unfortunate and I feel for the people struggling with such issues, but the latter I think they should have prepared for better, as of course a huge mountain of people who don't speak Chinese and therefor were not comfortable over before, are now flooding in. I would imagine even when it was un-officially up it was getting a lot of use (unofficially in my eyes was back when coins like Doge were not even trade-able on the site, they just sort of had a place holder page for the coin lol)

any input? should we put up some sort of widget that when someone gets in they can click on it and it alerts the rest of us traders?
122  Economy / Trading Discussion / issues seem to be sorted for logging into btc38.com! changing thread 2 sv spc on: June 05, 2014, 11:09:10 PM
so ok things seem to be sorted, guess they did not prepare for the influx of non chinese speaking people using the english side, or they just got plain bumrushed on the market today by lots of customers on their regular side, or the cookie site they use was down for maintenance or something either way glad it is running again, as it is my favorite exchange site  Grin Grin I would be very sad to lose it Sad

I guess I should add that I was having trouble all the way up till I shut off my browser (yet again) but this time when I fired it back up instead of letting it restore all the tabs I had open I shut down all but one for btc38.com, so I should say that maybe, having multiple tabs open to the same site on the same page or other pages (I track multiple coins that I trade in there so it makes it easier for me) might some how confuse the site's tracking and such for your login info maybe? anyway, just a thought to try if anyone else is having trouble logging in Smiley

it has been giving me trouble all day today, mostly it is the hm.baidu.com that seems to be sticking terribly and eventually things give up. I have a ton of coins in there I am trading with and not being able to access this, is not good,

Are we about to be GOXXED by btc38.com???

sorry to butt in but I had to mention that I noticed after following this here, that the guy never came over to try and back up his claim either, guess he ran off lol

Also I am guessing he is in the same arena that thinks they can set up "JUST THE RIGHT" configuration of coils and get more power out than in, thus probably someone who follows and believes the BS from the witts group, (a group that has made a living selling junk designs for overunity devices to gullible fools desperate to end their money woes by making free energy lol)

Might be interesting to use any info he has here and do a search on google for him, instead of his claim and see if he is a member of any forums like overunity.com, or anything remotely like it lol.

I would say that they need to change the OP then, and put a list of prospective (meaning the site has mentioned the coin) sites that might trade it, I dont see any reason that they would avoid it for trade due to the anon nature of it, though the super node thing might be something that is holding them back from doing it till they can work out how they can implement it.

I would have a problem trusting any coin that claims it is listed on an exchange it is not, like the way this one is claiming to be on BTC38, I have an account and actively trade on there, so there so this was something I checked right away, as I am looking for other coins to mine than doge and mec, that I can trade on there directly.

**edit, just to note, I am wanting to know why it was said to be listed, mistake or not, I am not tossing an accusation here that anyone outright lied, just that the information is incorrect as far as I can see (the link takes you to the bitcoin listings for trade and not dark) or if there is some anticipatory reason for listing it, as they maybe have an inside track on it getting listed there??
127  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [POLL] Carboncoin Logo Contest - 2M CARB prize for voter who leaves best comment on: May 18, 2014, 04:32:26 PM

glad someone else spoke up about liking the 3D design and adding the round to the hex shape, that makes what? 4 of us now XD

again if you guys need any help with bringing this together as a 3D concept, let me know, Hopefully soon I will have a better system to work off of so that more realistic renderings will not take for ever just to put out a few seconds of video lol
128  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [POLL] Carboncoin Logo Competition - Please Vote on: May 16, 2014, 12:11:37 PM
just to clarify, we should at least have a representative mention for each vote a person who has more than one design entry under their number that tells us which design they actually voted for, or PM axis with this information, other wise I see one person is going to win the money but then we are going to have to sort out which design got the most desire from the group, and maybe we will find that the design they had the most interest in, has less interest than someone who had only one good design they put forth. seriously, this is the point of the voting right? to get everyone's consensus on what we all find to be the most appropriate and desired design right?
129  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [POLL] Carboncoin Logo Competition - Please Vote on: May 16, 2014, 11:58:07 AM
Perhaps it's easier to compare some of the designs like this.

http://s1.postimg.org/w67pn9r0v/Unccctitlned_4.jpg

it does cut out the shotgun effect that those with the most votes are doing, having a bunch of different designs all in one, maybe you should make them make those all as separate entries so we know what exactly*design wise* people are voting on. other wise it just looks like a money grab on their part,
130  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [POLL] Carboncoin Logo Competition - Please Vote on: May 16, 2014, 09:12:16 AM
Not sure, maybe there is a restriction on new members with less than a certain amount of posts voting in a poll?

that was what I was thinking
131  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: CARBONCOIN: The Completely Carbon Neutral Cryptocurrency on: May 12, 2014, 07:00:12 PM
what with all the work the others put in the logos, I am a little disheartened on how few people are voting, I hope it is indecision that is holding up the voting till the last minute and not peoples indifference Sad

ps, yes I said "others" cause I know I have not really put a lot into the ideas lol, its just a rough out that if we go that direction I will for sure pour serious work into making it what everyone will be satisfied with at the very least lol
132  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: CARBONCOIN: The Completely Carbon Neutral Cryptocurrency on: May 08, 2014, 08:05:24 PM
just checked and they are starting to come in now. it did indeed take a while but since I had just started I did not see anything for all that time, and now I keep getting notifications so fast it is getting annoying lol, might have to increase my payout limit to keep them down to once every 10 or 20 minutes lol
133  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: CARBONCOIN: The Completely Carbon Neutral Cryptocurrency on: May 08, 2014, 06:34:13 PM
how long does it typically take to confirm and validate coins mined? I have a ton of them sitting and still waiting to be confirmed from over 2 hours ago. just wondering is it a little slower because of the hash rate or something? the wallet updated really fast, so was hoping that would mean a pretty strong backbone to this all Sad

I should note that I am on bass, so I am guessing the network is a little weak if the rest of the pools have not been updated for the exploits that were just plugged, if this is so, please let me know, dont want to hit the pool owner up with tales of woe yet unless this is irregular and should not be happening during such a period of transition.

um not sure what you mean, the models are point cloud models that lightwave uses, not sure if there is another package that uses the file formats but I know people have managed to convert to other platforms to use them, like studio max and what not.

sent the files your way. let me know if you have any questions.

ok cool though I would against better judgement say you should look on torrent for that cause buying a copy outright is kinda expensive, I have over 5 grand invested in the two versions I have and luckily the second half of that was a gift of the money from a friend who wanted help with the program on a project he was working on lol

watching PM for the email address, the files for the scene and models are tiny but the video file is kinda big with out compression, so you would need to let me know what compression you wanted it done with to send it through or use bittorret or something to send it *or some chat client that lets us send bigger files through maybe?* I guess I can zip it up with winrar too to shrink it down some with out compressing it with the video algo, which would preserve all the quality. the tools for working with things are far more intuitive than anything else I have used, or tried to use so I was able to justify the first 2400 for the first copy with that lol

morphtrust: What software did you use to create that spinning coin? And can you send me the original file so that I can have a play?

its lightwave 3D, I have two versions here, if you have lightwave or a program that can alter the files like rhino so you can use it in other programs let me know, if not I can do more work, it is capable of a lot more, that is just a 5 minute job modeling things and then tossing them in layout to make the scene and render it in about 10 minutes. the original video is an AVI in full 1078 or what ever by 780 something that I ran through superC to shrink it and make  gif of, so I can send the higher res video too if  you want,

hope no one minds that I update my coin design a little, might have eliminated some of the busy-ness in it Smiley
138  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ANN [CARB] Carboncoin Logo Competition - 5M Carboncoin Bounty (S-M) [OFFICIAL] on: May 08, 2014, 11:05:43 AM
no worry, just want to get the best design together for it. the one problem I have with my design is figuring out how to make it not so "busy" since these have to be scaled down to a smaller size.
139  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ANN [CARB] Carboncoin Logo Competition - 5M Carboncoin Bounty (S-M) [OFFICIAL] on: May 08, 2014, 10:50:35 AM
I really like that idea.  It will be interesting to see what everyone else thinks.

BTW: DM = Direct Message

ah first thing I thought of was dungeon master lol, usually people say you should PM them directly that I have seen meaning "private message" so...will stock this new info away so I know next time.
140  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ANN [CARB] Carboncoin Logo Competition - 5M Carboncoin Bounty (S-M) [OFFICIAL] on: May 08, 2014, 10:35:48 AM
to give an idea (since I am not sure what dm means please elaborate) and hopefully to get the original designers to do something with this possibly, here is what I was thinking might be able to allow us to have two designs that bring it all to the table with no chance of brand confusing (I love the leaf design personally so anything that can make it possible)

hopefully neither designer is upset that their design would be modified to incorporate anothers work but maybe they can modify it their own way to keep it purely their own design with this just being something to shake up someones juices lol

ps, I want nothing to do with any prize or anything, so I am not claiming anything here, just presenting an idea is all Smiley

also though I understand that some might be scared of a hex shaped coin instead of being round, I think many would like to have one as such so having the design set into a round shape coin, would allow disconnecting the hex from the round later to make a hex coin, and minting one the way they do with bitcoin storage wallets as a gold silver or some base metal coin, I think would be awesome and fairly easy to do, using a hex shaped design, giving a sort of futuristic money feel to it Smiley
